A model-based approach is proposed to solve the oceanic internal wave signal processing problem that is based on state-space representations of the normal-mode vertical velocity and plane wave horizontal velocity propagation models. It is shown that these representations can be utilized to spatially propagate the modal (depth) vertical velocity functions given the basic parameters (wave numbers, Brunt-Vaisala frequency profile, etc.) developed from the solution of the associated boundary value problem as well as the horizontal velocity components. These models are then generalized to the stochastic case where an approximate Gauss-Markov theory applies. The resulting Gauss-Markov representation, in principle, allows the inclusion of stochastic phenomena such as noise and modeling errors in a consistent manner. Based on this framework, investigations are made of model-based solutions to the signal enhancement problem for internal waves. In particular, a processor is designed that allows in situ recursive estimation of the required velocity functions. Finally, it is shown that the associated residual or so-called innovation sequence that ensues from the recursive nature of this formulation can be employed to monitor the model's fit to the data  相似文献

A model-based approach to solve a deep water ocean acoustic signal processing problem based on a state-space representation of the normal-mode propagation model is developed. The design of a model-based processor (MBP) for signal enhancement employing an array consisting of a large number of sensors for a deep ocean surveillance operation is discussed. The processor provides enhanced estimates of the measured pressure-field, modes, and residual (innovations) sequence indicating the performance or adequacy of the propagation model relative to the data. It is shown that due to the structure of the normal-mode model the state-space propagator is not only feasible for this large scale problem, but in fact, can be implemented by a set of decoupled parallel second-order processors, implying a real-time capability. A model-based approach is developed to solve an adaptive ocean-acoustic signal-processing problem. Model-based signal processing is a well-defined methodology enabling the inclusion of propagation models, measurement models, and noise models into sophisticated processing algorithms. Here, we investigate the design of a so-called model-based identifier (MBID) for a general nonlinear state-space structure and apply it to a shallow water ocean-acoustic problem characterized by the normal-mode model. In this problem, we assume that the structure of the model is known and we show how this parameter-adaptive processor can be configured to jointly estimate both the modal functions and the horizontal wave numbers directly from the measured pressure-field and sound speed. We first design the model-based identifier using a model developed from a shallow-water ocean experiment and then apply it to a corresponding set of experimental data demonstrating the feasibility of this approach. It is also shown that one of the benefits of this adaptive approach is a solution to the so-called “mismatch” problem in matched-field processing (MFP)  相似文献

文中使用了2001~2003年问的海上调查的CTD和声速仪SVP数据,通过直接测量的声速与常用的三种利用CTD计算声速的经验公式所计算的声速剖面进行对比,并采用了相关运算和回归分析,结果表明:在三个经验公式中,Chen-Miller公式与实测声速吻合得最好;表明历史上大量的CTD资料(河口区除外)可直接用来换算声速剖面,进而用于声场预报。  相似文献

This paper focuses on the relationship between the propagation time and the integral of the sound velocity profile (SVP) with respect to depth (SVP area for short) for positioning seafloor reference points. We proved a linear relationship between the propagation time and the SVP area and defined its mathematical expression (ST law). We showed in three simulations of possible variations in SVPs (random errors, internal waves, or a combination of both) that this ST law is verified. Using this new law in a simulated experiment, the ranging residuals due to sound velocity change through time are significantly improved. With this method, monitoring the SVP while acquiring travel times to a submerged transponder can significantly reduce the positioning errors of the transponder.  相似文献

为准确获取深远海海洋声速资料,充分了解深水声速规律,选取了西太地区两个水深超过5000m的S1和S2站位的声速资料为研究对象,以SVP(声速剖面仪)实测资料为参考标准,通过对CTD资料利用Chen-Millero、Del-Grosso以及Wilson的3种经验公式计算的声速与SVP资料进行对比分析,得出Del-Grosso经验公式计算的声速误差最小。为进一步提高声速资料精度,对Del-Grosso公式进行修正,并利用另外3个站位数据进行验证,发现利用校正后的公式计算的声速资料精度明显提升,这为其他深远海区利用CTD或其他温盐深资料获取高精度声速资料提供参考。  相似文献

声速误差是多波束水深地形测量主要误差源之一,通常采用现场声速剖面测量的方式加以改正,但在深远海多波束水深地形测量时,现场获取全深度的声速剖面并非易事。针对这一问题,利用东南印度洋海洋调查工作中采集到的17个站位的CTD数据,将所有站位声速剖面拓展到全深度,采用经验正交函数分析法(Empirical Orthogonal Functions,EOF)构建调查区声速剖面场,可获得声速剖面场内任意一点的声速值。然后通过EOF重构声速剖面场获得的声速值对测区内多波束水深地形数据进行改正,并与实测声速剖面对多波束水深地形数据的改正结果进行对比,结果表明,5000 m水深范围内2种声速改正结果相差很小,EOF重构法对深水多波束的声速改正满足水深测量的要求。  相似文献

We applied the maximum offset of sound velocity algorithm to sound velocity profile streamlining and optimization to overcome multibeam survey and data-processing efficiency problems. The impact of sound velocity profile streamlining on sounding data accuracy is evaluated. By automatically optimizing the threshold, the reduction rate of sound velocity profile data can reach over 90% and the standard deviation percentage error of sounding data can be controlled to within 0.1%. The optimized sound velocity profile data improved the operational efficiency of the multi-beam survey and data postprocessing by 3.4 times, indicating that this algorithm has practical value for engineering applications.  相似文献

The ocean acoustic tomographic (OAT) approach to sound speed field estimation is generalized to include a variety of sources of information of interest such as an oceanographic model of the sound speed field, direct local sound speed measurements, and a full field acoustic propagation model as well as measurements. The inverse problem is presented as a four-dimensional field estimation problem using a variational approach commonly used in oceanographic data assimilation. The current OAT approach is shown to be a special case of the general framework. The matched-field tomography (MFT) approach is also discussed within this context. A simple implementation of this novel approach is then investigated in the absence of a suitable oceanographic model, and acoustic propagation is accounted for using a standard parabolic equation model. The inverse equations derived are validated numerically through a simple inversion example, and some issues on environmental mismatch and computations are discussed. The developments then provide a basic framework for ongoing data-model melding in acoustically focused oceanographic sampling (AFOS) network  相似文献

介绍了声速剖面对多波束测深的影响,并得出了当声速剖面的某一节点偏大时,对边缘多波束的影响使水深偏浅,而对中央部分的波束使水深偏深;当声速剖面的某一节点偏小时,结果反之。该结果对野外资料采集及声速剖面编辑具有特别实际的指导意义。最后指出:当声速剖面出现误差时,中央波束的测深精度并不一定比其他波束的测深精度高。  相似文献

南海北部陆坡海域是孤立内波的活跃区,孤立内波在该海域能够引起水体环境较强烈的水平不均匀性,从而影响声场干涉结构。将描述宽带声信号强度干涉条纹斜率的波导不变量视为一种分布,能更准确地分析声场的距离*频率干涉结构。本文研究了孤立内波环境下过渡海域声场的距离*频率干涉结构,依据实测孤立内波海洋环境,得到孤立内波环境下随距离变化的声速剖面,利用抛物方程方法仿真过渡海域声场干涉结构。在此基础上,利用拉东变换和傅里叶变换结合的谱值分离方法在低信噪比环境下提取波导不变量分布。分析表明孤立内波环境下过渡海域的声场类影区、类会聚区的波导不变量取值更丰富。  相似文献

声速是影响多波束勘测精度的重要的外部因素,它决定着声线跟踪的精度,并最终影响到测深精度。由于停船投放CTD时间成本比较高,探索经济高效的远海走航式多波束水深测量,特别是航渡测量期间的声速剖面获取方法成为现场测量人员急需解决的问题。在对HYCOM/WOA13数据与现场CTD数据进行了数据偏差分布、相关性等比对,验证HYCOM/WOA13数据适用性的基础上,提出了基于HYCOM模式数据、WOA13同化数据及单点历史CTD数据与现场XCTD/XBT多源组合的远海走航式多波束水深测量声速剖面获取方法。对比表明,该多源组合的声速剖面能较好反映施测位置的声速剖面情况,该方法对提高远海水深测量的精度和经济效益具有一定的借鉴意义。  相似文献

浅地层剖面测量是海洋工程勘察、灾害地质调查和大陆架海洋地质科学研究的重要手段,资料解译的准确程度将对地质调查和研究成果的可靠性造成直接影响。由于发收分置型浅地层剖面仪的激发装置与接收装置是分开的,当调查区域的水深过浅时,将其近似为自激自收的单道地震系统会导致地层的畸变,水深越浅地层畸变率越大。根据浅地层剖面仪的基本原理,推导出了浅部地层厚度畸变校正公式,为用C-View软件更准确地解译此类浅地层剖面资料提供了参考。海底沉积物的声速直接影响浅地层剖面地层厚度解译的准确性,利用卢博等建立的适用于中国东南近海的声速经验公式,在某人工岛构造调查中,根据地质钻孔获取的孔隙度参数计算各沉积层的平均声速,建立相应的声速结构剖面,对地层厚度进行校正,取得较好的效果,用孔隙度预测声速的方法参数容易获取,能够提高浅地层剖面资料的解译精度,使地层的厚度更接近于实际,具有一定的实用意义。  相似文献

The modal wave number tomography approach is used to obtain sound speed profile of water column in deep ocean. The approach consists of estimation of the local modal eigenvalues from complex pressure field and use of these data as input to modal perturbative inversion method for obtaining the local sound speed profile. The empirical orthonormal function (EOF) is applied to reduce the parameter search space. The ocean environment used for numerical simulations includes the Munk profile as the unperturbed background speed profile and a weak Gaussian eddy as the sound speed profile perturbation. The results of numerical simulations show the method is capable of monitoring the oceanic interior structure.  相似文献

提出最大差、中误差和全程平均差作为声速剖面曲线比较的精度指标。使用CNSVPGets软件对218条实测声速剖面曲线与软件获取剖面曲线进行对比计算,统计了比对曲线的最大水深、最大差、中误差、全程平均差;全部对比曲线的平均水深为1231.36m,平均最大差为6.74m/s,平均中误差为2.68m/s,全程平均差为1.72m/s。全程平均差小于5m/s的对比剖面对占95.4%,由此推论软件获取声速剖面的全程平均差极限误差为5m/s,中误差为2.5m/s;用软件获取声速剖面取代实测剖面用于水深测量计算,对测深精度的影响比海道测量规定的深度测量极限误差低1个数量级,因此可以使用软件获取声速剖面用于海道测量的深度测量声速改正。基于软件获取声速剖面的效率和重要性提出了建立和维护中国的全球声速剖面模型的建议。  相似文献

It is shown that the performance of a conventional matched filter can be improved if the reference (replica) channel compensates for the distortion by the ocean medium. A model-based matched filter is generated by correlating the received signal with a reference channel that consists of the transmitted signal convolved with the impulse response of the medium. The channel impulse responses are predicted with a broadband propagation model using in situ sound speed measured data and archival bottom loss data. The relative performance of conventional and model-based matched filter processing is compared for large time-bandwidth-product linear-frequency-modulated signals propagating in a dispersive waveguide. From ducted propagation measurements conducted in an area west of Sardinia, the model-based matched filter localizes the depths of both the source and receiving array and the range between them. Internal soliton is the large amplitude wave existing in the pycnocline, induced by internal tide in the condition of special bottom topography. During its propagation process, the induced disturbance can bring about strong convergence of sea water and sudden strong current (wave-induced-current), which can cause severe threat to the ocean engineering structures, such as oil drilling platform and pipeline. In this paper, Morison’s empirical method, modal separation and regression analyses are introduced to estimate the forces and torques exerted by internal soliton on cylindrical piles. As an example, a limited set of observational data recording a passage of the internal soliton near Dongsha Islands is used to estimate the horizontal velocity and its acceleration in a vertical section for computing the force and torque on a supposed pile, and the estimation results are reasonable. It is shown that, the higher number of the modes retained in the calculation, the better the estimation of velocity profile fits the observational one. A better overall approximation to the real solution can be reached if there are more observational current data acquired in a whole vertical profile.  相似文献
