The spatial distribution of Cu and its pathfinder elements in quartz porphyrites along Wadi Araba was studied in order to gain an insight about the geologic framework of Cu mineralization in the area. A geochemical exploration data set of 242 samples was revisited. Multivariate statistical and geostatistical analysis were performed on the data set. The objectives of the study were to define Cu relationships with its possible pathfinder elements and to figure out whether geostatistical treatment of exploration data would help telescoping already existing Cu mineralization in Wadi Araba, SW Jordan. Factor analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis were performed on the data set. The results of which indicate that seven elements, namely, Ba, Cr, Mn, Ni, Sc, Sr and V can be considered as pathfinder elements for Cu. Significant correlations do exist between Cu and these elements. The encountered experimental semivariograms of the defined pathfinders were fit to exponential models with varying nugget effects with the exception of Mn which was fit to the spherical model. Ordinary kriging was found to be most appropriate to generate geochemical exploration maps. The applied methods succeeded in deriving valuable information and visualizing the already existing Cu mineralization in Wadi Abu Khusheiba area.  相似文献

Separation of geochemical anomalies from background are one of the important steps in mineral exploration. The Khooni mineral district (Central Iran) has complex geochemical surface expression due to a complex geological background. This region was chosen as a study area for recognition of the spatial distribution of geochemical elements and separating anomalies from background using stream sediment geochemical data. In the past decades, geochemical anomalies have been identified by means of various methods. Some of these separation methods include: statistical analysis methods, spatial statistical methods and fractal and multi-fractal methods. In this article, two efficient methods, i.e. U-statistics and the fractal concentration-area for separation and detection of anomalous areas of the background were used. The U spatial statistic method is a weighted mean, which considers sampling point positions and their spatial relation in the estimation of anomaly location. Also, fractal and multi-fractal models have also been applied to separate anomalies from background values. In this paper, the concentration–area model (C–A) was suggested to separate the anomaly of background. For this purpose, about 256 stream sediment samples were collected and analyzed. Then anomaly maps of elements were generated based on U spatial statistics and the C-A fractal methods for Au, As and Sb elements. According to obtained results, the U-statistics method performed better than C-A method. Because the comparisons of the known deposits and occurrences against the anomalous area created using thresholds from U-statistics and C-A method show that the spatial U-statistics method hits all of 3 known deposits and occurrences, the C-A fractal method hits 1 and fails 2. In addition, the results showed that these methods with regard to spatial distribution and variability within neighboring samples, in addition to concentration value frequency distributions and correlation coefficients, have more accurate results than the traditional approaches.  相似文献

Supergene phosphorites were analyzed for Sr, Ba, Zn, Cd, Sc, Cr, Ag, and V, i.e., elements incorporated in carbonate-apatite by isomorphic substitution. The phosphorites were subdivided into four groups: (1) phosphorites related to the weathering of sedimentary rocks, (2) phosphorites related to the weathering of endogenous rocks, (3) lacustrine coprolite phosphorites, and (4) phosphorites of ocean islands. In all the phosphorites groups, Sr, Zn, and Ba were the most abundant of the trace elements, whereas Cd, Ag, and Sc showed the lowest concentrations. Variations in trace element contents between supergene phosphorites of different genetic groups or within a single group can be explained by the different compositions of weathered rocks and geochemical environments of supergene phosphorite formation. At the same time, the contents of some trace elements are correlated with the structural type of phosphorite. In particular, phosphorite crusts or only their outer parts show elevated contents of chalcophile elements (Cd, Zn, and Ag), whereas massive phosphorites and inner parts of crusts are often enriched in such lithophile elements as Sc, V, and Cr. It was found that Cd, Zn, Ag, Sr, and Ba are positively correlated with CO2 but show negligible correlations with other constituents of carbonate-apatite.  相似文献

本文介绍谢学锦先生快速进行区域地球化学填图的计划在西藏取得的成果。区域水化学填图可分析66个指标,效率高,成本低,见效快;同时水化学填图的空间定位和分辨率比采集土壤样品的填图会差一些。西藏地球化学填图成果呈现了一定的规律性,例如西藏66种元素的地球化学图中,有三分之二沿雅鲁藏布江缝合带出现异常带。西藏许多元素的分布受雅鲁藏布江缝合带影响,是因为特提斯洋原有的一些元素残留在雅鲁藏布江缝合带两侧。氧化钾、氧化钠沿雅鲁藏布江缝合地带出现含量高的异常带,可见特提斯洋中丰富的钾、钠成分残留在代表大洋封闭的雅鲁藏布江缝合带两侧。沿雅鲁藏布江缝合地带氧化钙出现含量低的异常带,可用特提斯洋中的碳汇作用来解释,即特提斯洋中的钙由于碳汇作用变成碳酸盐岩石,氧化钙出现含量低的异常。西藏的地球化学图对矿产勘查和生态环境研究也具有一定意义。  相似文献

Jordan, located at the western edge of the Arabian Plate, stands out from the remaining part of the Arabian Peninsula by its abundance in radioactive elements, mainly uranium, in a way so far not found elsewhere on the Arabian Peninsula. Uranium (U) and thorium in Jordan are concentrated in eight different types of ore mineralization: (1) intrusive-related (intramagmatic), (2) vein-type, (3) superficial, (4) sandstone-hosted (5) limestone-hosted, (6) U-Th-REE placer-type, (7) black shales, and (8) phosphorites. The major concentration of radioactive elements are synsedimentary and diagenetic in nature, mainly in near-shore marine depositional environments where uranium contents are abnormally high in the late Cretaceous to Paleogene phosphorites and increasing towards the mobile shelf of the Tethys ocean. These uraniferous phosphorites form the source of uranium that was redeposited within terrigenous chemical residues of lacustrine-fluvial depositional systems in Central Jordan (calcretes). Faultbound radiometric anomalies are caused by hot brines being vented along with the Jordan-Dead-Sea rifting. Presumably, low-grade U accumulation in (hot) black shales and marls of Silurian age are responsible for these radiometric anomalies. In the present paper, the Jordanian uranium concentrations are compared with reference types of uranium deposits elsewhere in the world to get an idea if the geological, chemical, and mineralogical features of analogue uranium mineralization in Jordan are indicative of economic targets. The uranium concentration in Jordanian phosphorites has been tracked beyond the border into Syria, Iraq, Israel, and Saudi Arabia. The uranium potential in neighboring countries is assessed based on the current geological data available for the Mediterranean Phosphorite Belt which is poised to become a another string to the bow with respect to energy supply on the Arabian Peninsula.  相似文献

A geochemical atlas of North Carolina, U.S.A., was prepared using National Uranium Resource Evaluation (NURE) stream-sediment data. Before termination of the NURE program, sampling of nearly the entire state (48,666 square miles of land area) was completed and geochemical analyses were obtained.The NURE data are applicable to mineral exploration, agriculture, waste disposal siting issues, health, and environmental studies. Applications in state government include resource surveys to assist mineral exploration by identifying geochemical anomalies and areas of mineralization. Agriculture seeks to identify areas with favorable (or unfavorable) conditions for plant growth, disease, and crop productivity. Trace elements such as cobalt, copper, chromium, iron, manganese, zinc, and molybdenum must be present within narrow ranges in soils for optimum growth and productivity. Trace elements as a contributing factor to disease are of concern to health professionals. Industry can use pH and conductivity data for water samples to site facilities which require specific water quality.The North Carolina NURE database consists of stream-sediment samples, groundwater samples, and stream-water analyses. The statewide database consists of 6,744 stream-sediment sites, 5,778 groundwater sample sites, and 295 stream-water sites. Neutron activation analyses were provided for U, Br, Cl, F, Mn, Na, Al, V, Dy in groundwater and stream water, and for U, Th, Hf, Ce, Fe, Mn, Na, Sc, Ti, V, Al, Dy, Eu, La, Sm, Yb, and Lu in stream sediments. Supplemental analyses by other techniques were reported on U (extractable), Ag, As, Ba, Be, Ca, Co, Cr, Cu, K, Li, Mg, Mo, Nb, Ni, P, Pb, Se, Sn, Sr, W, Y, and Zn for 4,619 stream-sediment samples. A small subset of 334 stream samples was analyzed for gold.The goal of the atlas was to make available the statewide NURE data with minimal interpretation to enable prospective users to modify and manipulate the data for their end use. The atlas provides only very general indication of geochemical distribution patterns and should not be used for site specific studies. The atlas maps for each element were computer-generated at the state's geographic information system (Center for Geographic Information and Analysis [CGIA]). The Division of Statistics and Information Services provided input files. The maps in the atlas are point maps. Each sample is represented by a symbol generally corresponding to a quartile class. Other reports will transmit sample and analytical data for state regions. Data are tentatively planned to be available on disks in spreadsheet format for personal computers.During the second phase of this project, stream-sediment samples are being assigned to state geologic map unit names using a GIS system to determine background and anomaly values. Subsequent publications will make this geochemical data and accompanying interpretations available to a wide spectrum of interdisciplinary users.  相似文献

勘查地球化学找矿工作的重点在于正确解译地球化学数据,以便从冗杂的地质信息中精准提取与成矿有关的异常信息,指导找矿研究。然而,地球化学数据属于成分数据,具有闭合效应,只有对数据进行正确的预处理才能应用多元统计分析方法,还原元素真实的空间分布。本文在阿舍勒铜锌矿区外围南侧区域共收集1009件地表原生晕样品,对样品中的13种微量元素进行测试,并对原始数据、对数及ilr变换后的数据进行EDA分析,对比数据空间分布及内部结构特征。运用(稳健)主成分分析,结合成分数据双标图及第一主成分点位图,解译三类数据指示的元素组合与成矿信息之间的关联。随后运用多重分形滤波技术,对以ilr变换为基础的稳健主成分得分数据分解元素组合异常和背景分布特征。结果表明:①经过对数及ilr变换后的数据相比原始数据空间尺度更均匀,数据近似正态分布;②三类数据双标图表明,仅ilr变换后的数据消除了“闭合效应”,且其第一主成分元素分组揭示了研究区铜矿化与铅锌多金属矿化组合;以对数变换与ilr变换为基础的第一主成分点位图表明,后者主成分得分异常能够较好指示研究区地质找矿信息;③结合研究区地质找矿信息、元素组合异常及背景空间分布特征,最终圈定3个有利找矿靶区。  相似文献

Geochemical exploration by stream sediment sampling using bulk leach extractable gold (BLEG) technique and applying concentration-number (C-N) fractal model, factor analysis (FA), and geochemical mineralization probability index (GMPI) resulted in the recognition of new Au occurrences around the Sukari gold mine in the central Eastern Desert of Egypt. The geochemical data of 128 stream sediment samples collected from the study area was used for delineating the geochemical anomalies and characterizing the dispersion trains of ore and associated elements (Au, Ag, As, Sb, Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo). Statistical analysis of the geochemical data applying the C-N fractal modeling enabled us to identify significant anomaly and background populations of the investigated elements and to construct reliable geochemical anomaly maps. Factor analysis using centered log-ratios (CLR), to address the problem of closed compositional data, revealed significant element associations for mineralization (Au, As, Mo, Zn, Ba), country rock compositions (Rb, Li, Be, Sn, Bi for granite, and Co, Cr, Ni for mafic rocks), and element mobility (e.g. Sb, Zr, and Ag). Weak and moderate Au anomalies that cannot be detected by factor score maps can be delineated clearly by using the C-N fractal method and GMPI distribution map. Our study revealed that Ag, As, and Sb are the main pathfinder elements for gold mineralization in arid to semiarid regions exemplified by the Sukari gold district. Silver can be used as a “direct” pathfinder, whereas As and Sb are “indirect” pathfinders for Au in such regions. The spatial distribution of Au and Ag anomalies indicate that gold mineralization in the Sukari district is structurally controlled. However, the spatial distribution of Cu, Pb, Zn, and Mo is controlled by mineralogical and lithological factors and is not related to any significant base metal deposits.  相似文献

An exploration program aided by field investigation, exploration drilling, detailed sampling, lithological and petrological studies, geochemical investigation, and resource calculation leads to the discovery of a potential phosphate resource in northeast Jordan close to the international border with Saudi Arabia and Iraq. The studied phosphate is of the Middle Eocene age that belongs to the Wadi Shallala Formation. It is equivalent to the phosphate deposits recorded in the lower part of the Umm Wual Formation in the Turayf region of Saudi Arabia and the Eocene Ratga Formation in the Ethna phosphate deposit west of Iraq. The phosphorites in the region are broadly similar in mineralogical composition and geochemical affinities. X-ray diffraction indicates the presence of francolite with variable amounts of calcite and quartz. Most samples consist of phosphate clasts embedded in carbonate and silica matrix and cement. P2O5 content is up to 32.3 % with an average equal to 18.6 %. The impurity is caused by the presence of variable amounts of SiO2 and CaO. The F% and F/P2O5 ratio in studied phosphates is lower compared with that in phosphates from Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The geological and geochemical results were integrated for resource estimation. Three high-grade phosphate layers with ≥23 % P2O5 were considered in the calculations. The phosphate resource is classified as an inferred resource. The total volume of the resource is about 649 million tons. The average P2O5 content is 24.57, and the stripping ratio is 1:5.8.  相似文献

贵州瓮安新元古界陡山沱组磷块岩中发现的瓮安生物群主要包括多细胞藻类、蓝菌、疑源类、后生动物休眠卵及胚胎、管状后生动物和两侧对称的后生动物等化石类型。对瓮安陡山沱组磷块岩的有机地球化学分析表明,烃类有机组分包括正构烷烃、萜类、甾类和类异戊二烯烃。正构烷烃主峰为C21,碳数分布范围宽;OEP值为1.03,接近1。Pr/Ph比值为0.95,植烷略显优势。规则甾烷呈不对称的“V”字形分布,表现为C27〉C29〉C28的分布特征。C27占优势可能是由大量的带刺疑源类昕致。生物标志物特征指示瓮安陡山沱组磷块岩中的有机物来源于藻类和细菌,显示还原性、较高盐度的成磷沉积环境。  相似文献

在北京市密云区西南部农业区系统地采集了1 065件表层土壤样品,对其中Ni、V、Cr、As、Cd、Pb、Zn、Hg 8种重金属元素的含量开展了测试分析。采用多元统计分析法及空间分析法,阐明了这些重金属元素的地球平均化学分布特征,并探讨了其可能的主要来源。结果表明,8种重金属元素主要分为3类:第一类为Ni、V、Cr、As,其含量低于北京地区背景值,其分布主要受成土母质等自然因素的影响;第二类为Cd、Pb、Zn,其平均含量高于背景值,且居民区含量最高。除继承成土母质外,此类元素的分布特征受人为活动影响较大,其中Cd受人为活动影响的程度明显高于Pb和Zn;第三类为Hg,推断大气沉降为影响Hg分布的主要因素。主要采用Hakanson法评价了土壤中重金属的生态风险,结果表明该地区潜在生态危害指数较低。  相似文献

The bed and suspended (slime) sediment phases associated with effluent water that are produced from phosphate-ore-upgrading process at Al-Abyad mine in the southern part of Jordan were analyzed chemically and mineralogically. The results show that the effluent water is highly oxic and mildly alkaline in nature. The geochemical behavior of each phase was controlled by the effluent water physicochemical parameters, sediment particle size, mineralogical constituents of the studied phases, and the prevailing climatic nature of the area. Bed sediments have higher concentrations of many elements than slime. Accordingly, the bed sediments can be considered as a sink rather than a pool for many elements. The geochemical dissociation of major oxides and trace elements between bed and slime sediments was evident using t test, particularly between P2O5, SiO2, CaO, K2O, Mn, Sr, Y, and Co, and to lesser extent, V, U, Zn, and Cr. This might be attributed to effluent water characteristics, mineralogy, and the presence of fine-grained materials. The spatial distribution of major oxide and trace element concentrations along the stream drainage exhibited a slight increase with distance either in bed or slime sediment phases. However, they increased suddenly at the last three sampling sites, which might be due to the abundance of fine-grained materials that are mainly composed of clay minerals (montmorillonite) that would enhance the adsorption process. Moreover, the XRD results confirmed the existence of elemental geochemical dissociation as a function of mineral control.  相似文献

为了快速获取印度尼西亚苏门答腊岛元素分布的详细情况,根据苏门答腊岛的地形及景观特征,以水系沉积物和土壤为采样介质,实施了覆盖全岛的1:100万低密度地球化学填图。详细介绍了1:100万低密度地球化学填图的野外工作方法、测试的元素及分析技术,根据测试结果制作了苏门答腊岛69种元素地球化学图,计算和分析了苏门答腊岛地球化学背景的特征参数。总结了苏门答腊岛不同成因类型组合元素的分布特征及规律,圈定了16处地球化学综合异常。结合主因子综合异常特征以及区内典型矿床(点)空间分布、规模,对苏门答腊岛主成矿元素综合异常进行了甲、乙、丙分类,包括6个甲级综合异常、4个乙级综合异常和6个丙级综合异常,并优选3处具有较好找矿潜力的甲级综合异常进行异常解释和讨论,认为HS7综合异常具有寻找SEDEX型铅锌矿的潜力,HS8和HS11综合异常具有寻找浅成低温热液型金银矿和矽卡岩型铜铅锌矿床的潜力,为苏门答腊岛深入开展矿产勘查提供参考和依据。  相似文献

吸附烃(酸解烃和热释烃)技术在常规油气地球化学勘查中已显示出良好的应用效果。选择青海木里三露天进行土壤热释烃地球化学方法试验,通过对土壤样品热释烃特征值和地球化学异常分布特征的分析,显示研究区已知矿藏区上方存在良好的土壤热释烃地球化学环状异常,异常的空间展布受到地下矿藏的控制,二者具有良好的对应关系 。通过对研究区烃类甲烷碳同位素分析,指示土壤热释烃地球化学异常为热解成因,与天然气水合物具有相似的成因类型。试验结果表明,土壤热释烃技术适用于天然气水合物地球化学勘查,能够圈出水合物矿藏范围,可与其他水合物化探技术互相补充。  相似文献

鄂尔多斯盆地尚未开展区域化探扫面工作。文中以东胜砂岩型铀矿区为例,开展深穿透地球化学勘查方法实验。东胜铀矿床产于侏罗系直罗组下段,为隐伏矿床。研究发现,富含细粒级地表结层是半干旱盆地砂岩型铀矿区域地球化学勘查的有效采样介质。在东胜砂岩型铀矿区及周边2 000 km2的方法实验中,每4 km2采集一个样品,过筛后取-200目进行全量分析,在矿化出露区及隐伏矿区圈出了铀及相关元素的地球化学异常。对元素比值R=lnU/(lnCe+lnY+lnZr+lnNb)在不同区域分布特征的研究表明,样品中活动态铀是形成铀异常的主要原因,提取细粒级土壤组分进行全量分析,可作为区域深穿透地球化学的砂岩型铀矿找矿指标。在矿床尺度深化穿透地球化学勘查方法中,因实验区地形特点使得富含细粒级地表结层样品不易普遍取得,地表土壤的全量分析不能满足勘查要求,需要采用铀专属性强的提取试剂进行元素活动态分析。文中采用作者研制的MML-U活动态提取剂,在东胜铀矿区孙家梁矿段剖面实验中,成功探测到矿体上方土壤中的U、Mo、V等元素的活动态异常。  相似文献

Geochemical mapping has been carried out in Goa using soil/laterite and stream sediment as media. The geochemical maps for U, Th, Nb and Ta show a conspicuous pattern in the NW part of Goa. The anomaly axis shows a NE-SW trend which is across the formational trend. The nickel and copper distribution around Usgaon area, east of Ponda, have indicated anomalous signature in the northern continuation of the Usgaon ultramafic complex.  相似文献

水系沉积物测量是勘查地球化学一种重要方法。随着勘查地球化学的深入发展,有关地球化学异常圈定的方法已成为人们关注的焦点。采用R型因子分析方法,对哈拉奇地区水系沉积物测量所取得的数据进行统计处理,提取了具有代表性的5种因子组合类型,同时以因子得分为综合指标,绘制了因子得分等值线图并制作了元素组合分区图。通过综合分析,地球化学分区图反映了不同地段中以相应的元素组合类型为主的地球化学异常及地质成因信息,同时与主要控矿因素的空间分布比较一致,为研究区地质找矿提供新方向。  相似文献

High levels of Cd and Zn in Jamaican soils observed in geochemical surveys are related to the presence of phosphorites of possible Late-Miocene or Pliocene age. The trace element and REE geochemistry of the phosphorites, together with SEM studies, indicate a guano origin for the phosphorites. No specific host minerals for Cd could be identified in the fossiliferous phosphorite which is characterized by uniquely high levels of Cd, Zn, Ag, Be, U and Y. However, in the soil Cd is present in lithiophorite and a complex history of pedological development is preserved in the aluminous–goethite present in the soil. The unique guano signature is preserved in the soil despite the fact that guanos themselves have either not been observed or have been destroyed by continuing karst and soil development. The phosphorite geochemical signature can be traced in the data of a 1988 island-wide soil geochemical survey, identifying areas where the Palaeo-environment that supported bird ‘rookeries’ existed in the Late-Miocene or Pliocene.  相似文献
