工程实践和理论研究中常用全岩和粘粒中粘土矿物绝对和相对含量。对同一样品探求两者关系,便于数据对比,有利于工程应用。以采自香港九龙的2处边坡3个探坑中51个全风化花岗岩样品为例,作者用同一套仪器、测试方法,先后采用了颗分法测粘粒质量百分比、物理化学方法测比表面积、XRD方法测矿物成分,分别得出了全岩和粘粒中粘土矿物的绝对含量和相对含量,以及用粘粒质量百分比乘以相对含量得出的换算含量。另外还将全岩XRD矿物成分同薄片统计结果进行了相关分析。对粘土矿物绝对含量基本为20%~45%的全风化花岗岩,对比分析不同含量结果表明:全岩中的某些粘土矿物,如高岭石、蛭石的绝对含量远大于换算含量;不同样品中高岭石和蛭石的相对含量变化幅度远大于它们在全岩中绝对含量变化,两者变化呈现某种一致性;全岩中粘土矿物含量远大于粘粒(粒径<2μm和<5μm两个界限)的含量。后两者相对而言变化基本一致,差值不大;同全岩中粘土矿物含量相关性较好的是比表面积;同薄片统计结果相比,全岩XRD粘土矿物含量受对风化矿物处理不确定性的影响,结果往往偏大。  相似文献

以吉林省7种不同类型土壤(沼泽土、草甸土、潜育黑土、潜育白浆土、水稻土、泥炭土、暗棕壤)为研究对象,在野外采样和室内分析的基础上,对湿地土壤质地及化学组成进行分析,研究土壤粘粒矿物组成特征,探讨其形成机理及演化规律。结果表明:1)土壤质地类型均为壤质土;2)土壤化学组成以SiO2、Al2O3和Fe2O3为主,且w(SiO2+Al2O3+Fe2O3)>80%;3)土壤硅铝率、硅铝铁率呈现出相同的趋势,潜育黑土>草甸土>泥炭土>暗棕壤>沼泽土>潜育白浆土>水稻土;4)草甸土、潜育白浆土的粘粒矿物组成以伊利石为主,其他土壤均以伊蒙混层为主;5)利用同步辐射装置对暗棕壤进行对比分析,鉴定出了常规光谱中未被识别的矿物(斜长石、伊/蛭混层)。同步辐射衍射光谱具有扫描辨识度强等多种优势,可以成为土壤粘粒矿物特性分析的有效技术。  相似文献

孔径分布、颗粒组成和矿物成分是全风化花岗岩微观和结构特征的3个主要方面,也是决定其工程地质性质的关键因素。理论研究和实际工程中,常用大、中小和微孔隙、角砾、砂粒和粉粘粒、三大矿物(石英、长石和粘土矿物)含量等指标表征这3方面的特征。3方面指标在一定范围上变化幅度多大?数值间相关性及作为土结构模型组份因子,它们相对权重多大?通过对香港九龙两处边坡51件全风化花岗岩试样压汞测试、颗粒分析和X射线衍射(XRD)等微观结构特征分析,结果表明:两处边坡粗粒和细粒结构全风化花岗岩有明显区别,前者主要属于砾石土和砂砾土,部分为含砾土,大孔隙多,石英和粘土矿物多,而后者部分属含砾土,部分为细砂土和亚砂土,微孔隙多,长石多;两者长石和粘土矿物含量变化正好相反。借助于多因素关系矩阵法,对3方面共9个指标作相关分析发现,相关性较好的指标是:角砾和砂粒 (0.948);大孔隙和微孔隙(0.846);石英和长石(0.827);长石和粘土矿物 (0.747)。从土结构因子角度考虑,权重从大到小指标是:微孔隙、长石、粘土矿物、砂粒、角砾、大孔隙、中小孔隙、粉粘粒和石英。其分析结果可为该类土微观结构特征细化及分类提供依据,为其微结构力学研究提供基础材料。  相似文献

峡谷水道是南海北部琼东南盆地深水区主要储集层,乐东-陵水凹陷黄流组储集岩以粉、细砂岩为主,储层物性好.然而目前针对不同期水道主要物源供给及水道形成的母岩区性质、古风化程度等研究甚少.对中央峡谷西段水道的砂泥岩进行了岩石薄片与重矿物成分观察统计、岩石主量、微量/稀土元素分析,结果表明:岩石类型以岩屑石英砂岩和长石岩屑砂岩为主,崖城、陵水区重矿物分别为磁铁矿、白钛矿、锆石、电气石与白钛矿、石榴石、电气石、锆石的组合;地球化学特征表现为泥岩较砂岩SiO2含量低,Fe2O3、MgO、K2O、稀土含量偏高,与其含有高粘土矿物有关.砂、泥岩Al2O3/TiO2、K2O/Al2O3、K2O/Na2O比值说明物源区富石英、贫钾长石,分别为石英质沉积与中性火成岩源区;砂岩较泥岩具有较高SiO2/Al2O3比值、低ICV、CIA、CIW值,表明源区经历了低-中等程度的风化作用,是稳定构造环境再循环沉积而成,泥岩的形成环境较砂岩动荡.   相似文献

为了解风化壳中离子交换相稀土元素的特征,对广西某地花岗岩风化壳剖面样品进行了X射线衍射及主量、稀土元素地球化学特征的研究.剖面自上而下可划分为腐殖土层(A1)、亚粘土层(A2)、网纹状风化层(B1)和全风化层(B2);自A1至B2,粘土矿物的含量和化学风化蚀变指数快速降低;与母岩相比A1、A2、B1中全相Ce、Nd和HREE相对富集,B2中全相稀土与母岩特征相似,所有样品的离子交换相HREE亏损,Y相对富集;离子交换相轻、重稀土一起富集在B2中.据此推测,花岗岩中褐帘石、榍石等易风化的稀土矿物为离子交换相稀土提供了主要的物源,锆石、磷钇矿等难风化的稀土矿物的残留及表生稀土矿物的形成使全相HREE相对富集;离子交换相轻、重稀土元素的分馏程度随风化程度的增加而变化.   相似文献

全风化花岗岩三大矿物组分——石英、长石和粘土矿物含量变化情况怎样?粘土矿物含量变化幅度多大?以香港九龙3个探坑中采到的18箱(边长30cm的立方体)样品为例, 将1箱样品的不同区分别取样后的XRD鉴定结果(包括全岩3种主要矿物成分变化、粘粒中高岭石和伊利石变化范围值)进行对比, 结果发现它们中矿物成分含量变化范围一般为10%~20%.高岭石相对含量变化幅度大于伊利石, 粗粒结构样品变化值大于细粒样品值.对同一样品不同分析人员得出的结果差别很大.分析后认为样品自身的非均质性和分析人员经验不同, 都可造成粘土矿物含量的明显差别.为进一步分析XRD鉴定样品间矿物成分差异值的可靠性, 还将XRD结果同薄片统计结果进行了对比.结果发现来自石硖尾样品中的石英含量普遍较高, 长石含量普遍较低, 而粘土矿物含量在石硖尾和观塘都有高有低.从两者差值看, 矿物含量相差0%~35%.这项研究说明全风化花岗岩一定范围内的非均质性程度同风化物中矿物是原矿物还是粘土矿物的认定一起对最终结果产生很大影响.   相似文献

为探讨渤海东部晚更新世以来的元素地球化学特征及控制因素,对渤海东部DLC70-1孔157个沉积物样品进行了化学成分、粒度及测年分析。结果表明,晚更新世以来研究区沉积物的物质来源与沉积环境较为稳定;根据DLC70-1孔沉积物地球化学特征,钻孔岩芯可划分为6层,反映了末次间冰期(暖期)晚期以来渤海东部沉积物物源的变化以及海面波动。Al2O3、MgO、TFe2O3、MnO、TiO2、Cu、Zn、Pb、Cr和Rb等元素与细粒沉积物呈正相关,SiO2、Na2O与粗粒沉积物呈正相关,K2O、Sr和Ba分布与沉积物粒度无明显正或负的相关性;R-型因子分析得出三种主要组合类型,以Mg、Sr和Ba为代表,分别对应陆源细粒物质输入与黄河物质、海河物质和滦河物质的影响。运用Ba/Al2O3与Sr/Al2O3、MgO/Al2O3与K2O/Al2O3离散图分析了DLC70-1孔的物质来源,结果表明沉积物主要来源于黄河,该孔中上部32.30~49.00 m和9.30~23.20 m沉积物受到了滦河和海河物质的影响。  相似文献

铁酸钙是高碱度烧结矿中的主要黏结相矿物,它的含量、结晶形态、化学成分及晶体结构等矿物学特性对烧结矿质量起着关键性作用,而烧结原料中各组分的含量直接影响着铁酸钙的生成。以Fe3O4、SiO2、CaO、MgO、Al2O3的化学纯试剂为原料,在实验室进行微型烧结实验,运用XRD、偏光显微镜、电子探针等手段,定量分析研究了原料组分中MgO、Al2O3对烧结矿中铁酸钙的生成及其矿物学特性的影响。原料中MgO含量的增加对铁酸钙的生成有一定抑制作用,尤其在MgO含量为2.0%~3.0%时,烧结矿中铁酸钙含量明显减少,其晶体形态也从以板柱状和针状为主逐渐过渡为它形不规则状;原料中Al2O3的增加,对烧结矿中铁酸钙的形成具有促进作用,即随着Al2O3的增加铁酸钙含量呈明显增加趋势,且铁酸钙的形态也由以柱状和针状为主向板柱状变化。电子探针成分分析及矿物化学式计算结果表明,铁酸钙是由Fe2O3、CaO、SiO2、Al2O3及MgO组成的复杂结晶体,其化学通式为Ca2.60Mg0.44Si1.07Al0.96Fe8.92O20。原料中MgO、Al2O3含量的变化,对铁酸钙的化学成分中Fe2O3/CaO摩尔分数比影响不大,均接近3∶2。上述研究结果对于深刻理解烧结工艺条件下铁酸钙晶相的晶体化学特征及其对烧结矿质量的影响具有重要指导意义。  相似文献

铬铁矿是金伯利岩型金刚石矿床中主要的指示性矿物之一.准确分析出铬铁矿化学组分中FeO、MgO、Cr2O3、Al2O3、TiO2含量,不但对铬铁矿定名起决定性作用,对金伯利岩型金刚石矿床找矿也具有重要的指示意义.利用电子探针波谱技术对铬铁矿主量化学元素分析,通过所测样品微区化学成分含量推测矿物名称.25件单矿物样品微区化学成分分析结果统计显示:单矿物中主要化学成分FeO为15.666%~29.971%,MgO为7.286%~11.477%,Cr2O3为56.421%~71.111%;次要化学成分MnO为0.012%~0.382%,Al2O3为0.871%~8.993%,TiO2为0.074%~3.375%.矿物化学成分总量为99.117%~100.877%,单矿物化学成分与铬铁矿化学组分相当.根据矿物人工重砂鉴定特征及A、B离子占位情况,可以确定所测样品为镁铬铁矿.  相似文献

根据21件碎屑岩样品的常量元素和微量元素相关关系、组分含量及某些元素的比值特征,探讨了珠江口盆地惠州凹陷HZ21钻孔的元素地球化学特征与古环境意义。研究表明:Al2O3、Fe2O3、K2O、TiO2、V、Cr、Rb相互间呈明显的正相关关系;SiO2与Al2O3、Fe2O3、TiO2呈明显负相关,与K2O呈弱相关关系;Sr与CaO呈明显正相关关系;P2O5与Al2O3、Fe2O3、K2O、TiO2呈明显的正相关,与SiO2呈明显的负相关,且与CaO呈弱相关关系。据锶钙比值103(Sr/Ca)和V/Cr值分析,HZ21井珠江组从下往上水体有逐渐加深的趋势,与单井沉积相分析结果一致。据镁铝比值102(MgO/Al2O3)和Sr/Ba值分析,珠江组从下往上沉积环境的水体盐度变化不太大,但到上部略有下降。古气候指示剂Rb/Sr值和MgO/CaO值显示,NSQ1和NSQ2层序时期气候干燥寒冷,而NSQ3和NSQ4这两个层序时期气候湿热。总之,地球化学特征所反映的沉积环境与沉积相分析的结果相一致,说明元素地球化学与沉积环境关系密切,可作为沉积相判别的标志。   相似文献

本区燕山早期花岗岩发育的风化壳中的粘土矿物以高岭石和埃洛石(7Å)为主;蒙脱石、三水铝石及其它为新查明矿物。据粘土矿物组合特征,自风化剖面深部到地表分为三个带:含蒙脱石带,高岭石和埃洛石(7Å)带,含三水铝石带。本文探讨了矿物在风化过程中的生成演化顺序,并进行了热力学的解释。据各带粘土物质的阳离子交换量与稀土含量变化的不一致关系认为,稀土在C带中的富集是化学风化的结果,与粘土矿物组合无关。  相似文献

黏土矿物成分对其工程力学性质具有显著的影响。目前,在黏土矿物种类鉴定方面已有一些成熟的方法技术,而对黏土的矿物成分定量分析尚没有成熟的方法。本文基于X射线衍射试验、全化学元素分析、Bogue法和K值法,对广西武鸣、桂林两地红黏土的矿物成分进行了定性鉴定和定量分析。研究结果表明:(1)桂林、武鸣两地红黏土的主要矿物均为高岭石、三水铝石、针铁矿,桂林红黏土还含有一定量的石英。(2)武鸣红黏土的矿物成分及其含量依次为:高岭石(74.0%)、三水铝石(12.53%)、针铁矿(2mm, 2.22%)、针铁矿(2mm, 8.37%)。(3)桂林红黏土的矿物成分及其含量依次为:高岭石(56.59%)、三水铝石(11.44%)、针铁矿(15.61%)、石英(12.45%)。  相似文献

Undisturbed core samples of Recent sediments from the Wash tidal flats, East Anglia, England, obtained using a Delft corer, were studied with special reference to the diagenesis and geochemical behaviour of iron. The Mössbauer effect in 57Fe was used to monitor the distribution of Fe between different phases as a function of depth, together with the magnetic mineralogy and palaeomagnetic properties.The cores consist of, successively downwards: 0.36 m brown clay; 1.5 m finely laminated silts and fine sands, and 7.14 m homogeneous fine sands. The dominant minerals are quartz, feldspar, calcite and clay minerals, and chemical analysis for Al, Si, Mg, Mn, Ca, Fe, Na, K showed variations closely linked to lithological changes. Illite is the most abundant clay mineral (mean 48%), followed by mixed layer illite-montmorillonite and montmorillonite, kaolinite and chlorite. Chlorite is the major iron-bearing clay mineral and represents 4 to 10% of the <2 μm fraction throughout the core. Sulphide minerals are present throughout the core, including framboidal pyrite.Computer fit analysis of the Mössbauer spectra of best quality showed contributions from Fe2+ and Fe3+ in clay minerals (essentially chlorite), low-spin Fe2+ in pyrite, and magnetically ordered iron in greigite (Fe3S4). Systematic variations, as a function of sample depth, indicate a relative increase in the amount of Fe in pyrite at the expense of the clay minerals.Magnetite and titanium-bearing magnetite are the carriers of natural magnetic remanence in these sediments.The direction and intensity of natural remanence in the samples compare well with the known secular variation of the Earth's magnetic field derived from the historic-archaeomagnetic record and this enables the samples to be dated and sedimentation rates to be determined (1.5 mm yr?1 for the upper 2 m and ~7.7 mm yr?1 for the lower 7 m).  相似文献

The fluvio-tidal transition of suspended sediment in terms of mineralogy and composition in the Loire River drainage basin, the largest French river basin, was investigated in the fluvial zone at Montjean and in the tidal zone at Mauves-Thouaré, for a complete seasonal cycle. At Montjean, where the river experiences unidirectional flow, the composition and mineralogy (especially clays and clay minerals) of river suspended material (RSM) are governed by the river discharge, upstream contributions, climatic conditions and microbiological activities. However, due to reversing tidal and river currents at Thouaré, in the zone of tidal dynamics, these relations are changed. In the downstream direction sand and clay content in the RSM decrease while the silt content increases. Among clay minerals, between these two observation stations, montmorillonite remains constant, kaolinite diminishes, and the other minerals increase downstream. Combustible material (organic) and nitrate (NO3) contents in the RSM increase whereas the phosphate (PO43-) and CaCO3 contents decline considerably during transport. At the head of the tidal zone, where the river flow encounters the tidal influence, there is a relatively stationary water mass (tidal slack) where sands, clays, phosphate, carbonate and silica are deposited by physical and chemical processes. Physical sedimentation takes place by simple gravitational deposition (sands), and by sorting and complicated differential settling (clays); chemical sedimentation takes place by precipitation (calcite-CaCO3; apatite-Ca5 (PO4)3 (OH,F,Cl); coagulation of dissolved silica-SiO2) in connection with seasonal algal bloom and eutrophic events.  相似文献

Chemico-mineralogical attributes of authigenic clays associated with the altered volcanic tuffs that occur in the Palaeoproterozoic Porcellanite Formation contain evidences of hydrothermal alteration and diagenetic processes in a marine environment. Previous sedimentological and geochemical studies on Porcellanite Formation were restricted to the Chopan area, but, the details related to provenance, nature and source of volcanism archived in these clays have not been ascertained. In order to understand these aspects, present study on these authigenic clays were carried out. Clay minerals represent dominance of illite with subordinate amount of montmorillonite. Moreover, low abundance of kaolinite is also noticed. The illite fibers and plates associated with the kaolinite indicate illitization. The kaolinite to illite transformation is favoured by incorporation of K+ ions, derived from the K-feldspar dissolution and its overgrowth. Major oxide contents of these clays and their ratios when plotted over diagrams marked with standard illite, kaolinite, smectite and chlorite compositional fields show clustering within or close to the illite field. Thermodynamic components calculated for these clays when plotted over AR23+AlSi3O10(OH)2 − R23+Si4O10(OH)2 − AR2+R3+Si4O10(OH)2 ternary diagram, data plots lie within the illite, mixed layer I/S and smectite fields. Binary major oxide data plots between bulk rock and authigenic clay compositions showed felsic affinity. Montmorillonite and illite predominated in the eastern and western marginal areas of the Vindhyan Basin, respectively. However, former resulted from the hydrothermal alteration of volcanic glass associated with the ferruginous breccia and altered tuffs and remnants of the volcanic vents, whereas, later is associated with the tuffaceous beds. Owing to the adsorption, Ba, Rb and Sr is enriched in clays comparing to the bulk rock composition. Low (< 15 ppm) Sc values suggested major contribution from the felsic component. Also, low Rb/Sr and Th/U values revealed moderate insitu weathering. The dominance of K-feldspar alteration and insitu weathering is also evident from clustering of clay data plots in the A-CN-K ternary diagram. Pronounced negative Eu anomaly together with higher LREE/HREE values associated with these clay minerals implied proximity to source and their possible derivation from the silicified felsic tuffs available in the provenance.  相似文献

Siliciclastic sediments on the insular shelf of Puerto Rico are derived from a volcanic arc. The sands are feldspatholithic and subquartzose. They confirm predictions about sandstones of arc derivation in the following ways. The quartz content is low, usually less than 25 %. Feldspar is more abundant than quartz, but less so than lithic fragments. If mud rip-up clasts are excluded from the lithic suite, the ratio V/L (volcanic lithic grains to total unstable lithic grains) assumes values near 0.75. Most of the volcanic lithic grains have textures suggesting intermediate volcanics as source rocks. Ratios of plagioclase to total feldspar are high. Values of the parameter C/Q (stable lithic fragments to total lithic grains) are higher than expected for sandstones of volcanic provenance. Four compositionally and areally distinct assemblages of clay minerals are recognized. Clay suites characterized by major concentrations of both halloysite and smectite are found off the north-west coast. Sediments off the north-central and north-east coasts contain major concentrations of halloysite and lesser amounts of smectite, illite and chlorite. Major concentrations of kaolinite are present off the south-east coast. An assemblage of poorly crystallized smectite with lesser amounts of illite and chlorite occurs off the south-west and south-central coasts. Variation in the mineralogic composition of clays around the perimeter of the island reflects changes in the intensity of chemical weathering and the type of rock exposed in the immediate source area and, in instances, either early diagenetic alteration or, more likely, sorting within the clay fraction by currents on the shelf.  相似文献

黄骅坳陷三马地区储集岩样品的显微特征及成岩矿物的组合关系分析结果表明,三马地区下第三系中深层储层主要处于晚成岩A期,成岩现象包括石英、长石的次生加大、碳酸盐矿物胶结作用、矿物交代作用、溶解作用和粘土矿物转化作用等。其中石英次生加大于2700m左右开始出现,随埋深增大,石英增生加强;长石次生加大现象不十分普遍;碳酸盐胶结作用包括早期自生泥晶方解石胶结作用、连晶方解石和晚期白云石(或铁方解石)的胶结作用。在扫描电镜下可见到方解石与含铁方解石集合体充填在粒间孔隙中或与石英、钠长石及粘土矿物共生,白云岩多呈菱形粒状分布于粒间;常见的交代现象主要有方解石交代长石、石英及粘土矿物,粘土矿物交代长石、石英等;溶解作用主要有长石的溶解、碳酸盐颗粒的溶解和方解石胶结物的溶解等,粘土矿物的转化主要为蒙脱石、高岭石向伊利石(或绿泥石)转化。还讨论了储层岩相、岩性特征、孔隙水中有机酸含量、早期方解石的充填、烃类早期注入等因素对储层成岩演化的控制作用。  相似文献

Twelve samples of Nigerian laterites were obtained from Ilorin, a rapidly growing urban center, and capital of Kwara State, Nigeria. Three varieties of laterites (clay, gravel and crust) were identified and subjected to mineralogical, chemical and geotechnical analyses which included: identification of clay and non-clay minerals by X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques; chemical composition by X-ray fluorescence spectrometer analysis; pH of soil in water; moisture contents and specific gravity determinations, grain size analysis; compaction test by Harvard Compaction Apparatus and unconfined compressive strength determination.The laterite soil samples are composed of kaolinite and illite clay minerals with some quartz and feldspar. They were found to be rich in SiO2 (45%) Fe2O3, (16%) and Al203 (10%).These soils yielded maximum strength when compacted on the dry side of their optimum moisture content (OMC).The soils are not expected to perform very well as concrete aggregates since they contain high amounts of SiO2 and Fe2O3. These oxides are known to have deleterious effects on construction materials, particularly concrete aggregates.  相似文献

The petrography and powder diffraction analyses were integrated to study the effect of diagenesis on the reservoir quality of the Mamu Sandstone in areas around Enugu, southeastern Nigeria. The sands are moderately to well sorted, very fine to fine grained feldspathic arenite deposited in diverse environments of upper to lower shoreface and sub-environments of delta plain. Pressure solutions, authigenic clays and quartz and feldspar overgrowths are the main diagenetic features of the sandstones in the area. These diagenetic features result in mechanical and chemical compaction, alteration of framework grains and precipitation of dissolved grains. In varying degrees, coating of clasts and filling of pore-spaces by clay and heavy minerals reduced the pore throat diameter, which caused mild reduction of the porosity and permeability of sands. Despite these observed diagenetic effects, the Mamu sands still have the potential to serve as good hydrocarbons reservoir especially for gas.  相似文献

Hydrothermal experiments with primary detrital components of feldspathic sands (orthoclase, albite, quartz, and calcite) were conducted to simulate possible diagenetic changes in geosynclinal sedimentary accumulations and the geothermal reservoir of the Imperial Valley area, California. Phyllosilicate and zeolite mineralization was produced at 200°C and 1 Kb Ph2o and at 300°C and 1 and 3 Kb Ph2o. Scanning electron microscope examination of the detrital grains shows the development of authigenic minerals and solution features. Phyllosilicate development occurred as dense surface coatings on orthoclase crystals in concentrated brines and as scattered grain clusters in dilute brines. Cation concentration is considered to be a controlling factor in phyllosilicate formation and growth. During formation the phyllosilicate crystals appear to utilize the surficial feldspar lattice structure as a preferred growth site. Electron diffraction studies indicate the crystals are a 1 Md mica similar to illite. Initial phyllosilicate formation occurs principally on orthoclase in systems containing this mineral, but is disseminated on other mineral surfaces in systems without orthoclase. This experimental development of authigenetic illite via the destruction of potassium feldspar may offer a potential mechanism to help explain the resulting mineralogy of diagenetic processes occurring in natural sediments such as in feldspathic sands and argillaceous sediments.  相似文献
