不纯碳酸盐U-Th等时线定年及同位素分馏对年龄的影响   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
应用U-系L/R等时线模式测定了用天然碎屑沉积物与已知年龄的纯CaCO3按不同比例混合而成的不纯碳酸盐样品的年龄。实验分两个序列进行:其一研究碎屑沉积物化学前处理过程中U、Th同位素的萃取行为及其分馏效应。另一序列用不同浓度的溶剂对均匀混合的不纯碳酸盐样品进行溶解,确定稀酸淋滤碳酸盐的效率。各组分的238U、234U、230Th和232Th含量分析数据表明,稀酸溶解碎屑沉积物样品将U和Th同位素等比例的提取出来,不会发生U和Th同位素分馏现象。对于不纯碳酸盐样品,所有数据点落在一条直线上,良好的线性关系反映真实年龄含意。3个不纯碳酸盐样品的等时线年龄与纯碳酸盐年龄一致表明实验技术是可信的。同时,也证明对于碎屑含量较高的不纯碳酸盐U-Th定年,L/R等时线技术是适应的。  相似文献

本文应用全溶样品的等时线模式,较成功地测定了藏北高原西南部扎布耶盐湖SZK01孔岩芯中含不等量碳酸盐粘土的230Th/238U年龄,建立了青藏高原腹地海拔4000 m以上湖泊120 ka以来连续的同位素年龄标尺,从而为扎布耶盐湖及其周缘地区古环境古气候演化研究奠定了时间坐标。根据230Th/238U年龄数据,SZK01孔的平均沉积速率约为68 cm/ka。然而不同层段的沉积速率差异较大,变化在20.8~128.8 cm/ka,其快慢变化反映了该湖从短命深湖、动荡浅湖、滨湖到盐湖的环境变化,与高分辨率SZK02孔的研究结果相一致。讨论了测年模式的适应性﹑样品的U封闭性和应用的优越性,提出开展湖区及周边各类型水体的U、Th同位素化学行为研究和检验沉积物中多源Th对定年的影响将是今后年代学研究的重要内容。  相似文献

通过对我国西南地区3个洞穴9根大型石笋272个初始234U/238U数据的分析研究,发现石笋初始234U/238U值长尺度变化与海洋沉积SPECMAP曲线δ18O记录有一定的正相关关系,与北纬25°夏季太阳辐射能量变化曲线呈一定的负相关关系,石笋初始234U/238U值的变化在冰期时波动强烈,而在间冰期波动相对平缓,在间冰期和冰期(间冰阶和冰阶)转化阶段该值呈跳跃状态变化。末次冰期及全新世阶段石笋初始234U/238U变化记录了该时段内的BA暖期和YD突变冷事件;全新世8200 a BP、7200 a BP、5200 a BP、4200 a BP、2800 a BP、1400 a BP 发生的几次较强冷事件在石笋初始234U/238U值都有相应记录,并且和长尺度的变化规律一致,冷事件发生时石笋初始234U/238U值偏重,暖期偏轻。封闭系统形成的洞穴石笋初始234U/238U变化类似于同地区洞穴石笋的δ18O对气候变化的记录特征,在我国西南地区两者与夏季风变化的强弱呈现一种负相关的关系,洞穴石笋初始234U/238U值可以作为一个有用的古气候替代指标来研究古降水的变化。  相似文献

纳木错是西藏海拔最高的大湖 ,位于藏北内流区东南部。研究中应用铀系全溶样品的等时线技术所测定的纳木错西北岸 3个剖面的 8个富含碳酸盐湖相沉积物样品的年龄。其实验程序是 :先按矿物的粒径将样品分成若干子样品 ,全溶子样品并分别测试它们的2 3 0 Th/ 2 3 2 Th和2 3 4 U/ 2 3 2 Th比值 ,然后通过年龄等时线来校正由碎屑物带来的初始钍的影响 ,从而避免了常用的稀酸淋滤法难于验证的同位素分馏问题。测试结果显示 ,在等时线上所有数据都有良好的线性关系 ,表明所获得的年龄数据是合理的。由  相似文献

采用氢氟酸-硝酸-盐酸混合酸密闭消解含铀矿石样品,用阴离子交换树脂、阳离子交换树脂和锶特效树脂逐级分离富集铀、钍和镭。使用高分辨电感耦合等离子体质谱(HR-ICPMS)测定分离纯化液中234U/238U2、30Th/232Th和228Ra/226Ra同位素。比值的测量精密度取决于比值的大小和对应核素浓度的大小。对质量浓度为10 ng/mL天然铀测量液,234U/238U的测量精密度优于1.2%;对230Th质量浓度为0.6ng/mL且230Th和232Th质量浓度接近的测量液,230Th/232Th的测量精密度为1.2%;对228Ra质量浓度为0.48 pg/mL且228Ra和226Ra质量浓度接近的测量液,228Ra/226Ra的测量精密度为4.0%。  相似文献

湖南省龙山县莲花洞两根大型石笋LLl(文石-方解石型)和LL5(文石型)ICP-MS230Th结果表明,82个年龄数据并不完全符合石笋生长层序律.根据U/Th同位素比值、沉积和矿物学特征,分析了同位素体系开放度对建立石笋正确年代学模式的影响.莲花洞LLl石笋全新世以来234U/238U对230Th/238U的比值具有谐和性特征并且230Th年龄层序正常,说明文石矿物基本接近U/Th同位素封闭系统,实测年龄基本可靠.10~40 ka期间234U/238U与230Th/238U离散度较大和矿物具有溶蚀、风化现象,表明体系发生U加入/流失作用.LL5石笋60~80 ka期间封闭性较好,实测年龄可信.上述结果表明,同一洞穴中文石石笋U/Th同位素体系开放度与时间的关系并不是线性关系,沉积时水文和物理化学性质以及随后的保存状况是决定洞穴文石石笋同位素封闭性的关键因素.  相似文献

据神农架高海拔天鹅洞一支石笋9个230Th年龄和332组氧、碳同位素数据,建立了76~58 kaB.P. Dansgaard Oeschger (DO)事件时间序列,揭示了深海氧同位素4阶段(MIS4)东亚季风降水百年尺度变化过程。天鹅洞和葫芦洞石笋、格陵兰NGRIP冰芯δ18O对比显示,天鹅洞记录DO18事件暖湿程度相当于深海氧同位素3阶段(MIS3)水平,其振幅类似于格陵兰冰芯δ18O记录。起始时间上,天鹅洞记录DO18事件在710年230Th测年误差范围内和葫芦洞记录保持一致,并支持了NGRIP冰芯记录对应时标。在全球降温背景下,如此典型DO事件指示了强季风降水过程。70 kaB.P.左右,冰芯DO19事件至少老于石笋记录约950年,远大于700年左右的230Th测年误差,对老于该时段的冰芯时标需高分辨率地质记录进一步验证。69.09~64.64 kaB.P.( DO19ˊ~18)期间,冰芯记录的百年尺度峰谷变化和天鹅洞石笋记录一一对应,反映了低纬热带海洋和北大西洋温盐环流之间耦合作用。  相似文献

湘西莲花洞石笋TIMS—U系年龄校正研究   总被引:4,自引:3,他引:1  
能够利用TIMS-U系方法精确定年,是石笋应用于古环境重建的重要优势.但石笋实际测定的TIMS-U系年龄往往出现与石笋自然生长规律不符合的异常序列,从而限制了大批石笋的进一步研究.以湘西龙山莲花洞LL1石笋为例,发现并从地球化学的角度解释了文石向方解石转化,以及方解石次生结晶加大的结构构造转变过程中,石笋具有238U、230Th含量明显减小,石笋测定年龄比实际年龄偏小的趋势.并在排除污染等条件下,以230Th/238U为校正指标,假设其损失率分别为1%、10%、50%,对LL1进行TIMS-U系法测年结果校正.结果发现,230Th/238U损失的百分数与年龄偏小的百分数相差不多,且相同230Th/238U损失比例下,石笋年龄越老,实测年龄比实际年龄却偏年轻.该研究为今后校正石笋异常年龄序列,建立石笋正常、准确年龄时标提供了思路.  相似文献

研究了TIMS测定铀矿石样品中234U/238U、230Th/232Th、228Ra/226Ra的方法。建立了铀矿石密闭混酸一次溶样的方法和采用阴离子、阳离子和Sr特效树脂逐级离子交换分离纯化U、Th和Ra的流程,满足了TIMS测量要求。测定结果表明:100~1000 ng的天然铀中234U/238U,其测量精密度从静态多接收的2.34%提高到动态多接收的0.47%;对230Th与232Th丰度接近、质量为1μg左右的钍,采用三带点样技术和法拉第多接收技术测定230Th/232Th,其内精度平均值为0.0048%,外精度为0.028%;采用单带加钽发射剂,ETP跳峰测定50~100 fg镭-228稀释剂中的228Ra/226Ra,其内精度小于0.10%,外精度小于0.20%。比较TIMS和HR-ICP-MS、α能谱法测定234U/238U、230Th/232Th、228Ra/226Ra结果,三者结果相吻合。TIMS测量法样品用量少、快速、准确、精密度高,是U、Th、Ra同位素比值测定方法的又一补充。  相似文献

在西澳大利亚州伊利里铀矿床现代潜水面之上所采集的矿石样品中,~(234)U/~(238)U和~(230)Th/~(234)U比值的加权平均值分别为1.38±0.10和0.83±0.28。后一个比值的相对变化较大。这是铀沉淀之后发生位移的证据。子元素的分离是由于钍和铀的迁移能力不同。为了解释矿床形成的动力学过程,从开放系统模式的角度评价了与解释这些所观测到的比值有关的因素。所观测到的非平衡态,为对从地质上及其它方面提出的假说作出定量的评价打下了基础。  相似文献

石笋记录研究的进展与测年技术的发展密不可分,测年新技术的突破不断推动利用石笋重建古气候研究的飞速前进。在利用石笋进行古气候重建过程中,建立精确的时标是首要条件。通过对较老(>250ka)石笋的ICP-MS230Th测年研究,发现贵州荔波董歌洞D6、D7、D9石笋具有比较连续的高分辨记录,最老年龄超过400ka,通过230Th测年数据的分析为建立我国西南地区500ka以来标准剖面打下基础;对董歌洞3根大型石笋135个230Th年龄数据及生长速率的分析研究,发现石笋生长速率在大尺度的变化上与海洋沉积SPECMAP曲线δ18O记录有很好的负相关关系,并与北纬25°夏季太阳辐射能量变化曲线呈一定的正相关关系,石笋生长速率的变化在间冰期处于高值,而在冰期时为低值,在间冰期和冰期转化阶段生长速率呈跳跃式变化。通过生长速率变化分析表明,石笋生长速率记录了过去突变冷暖事件的变化,因此可以作为一个有意义的环境记录替代指标来研究古降水及古气候变化。  相似文献

The 230Th content of subsurface Bahamas seawater has been estimated from incrementally deposited aragonite skeletons of sclerosponges using U-series age models which imply syndepositional incorporation of 230Th. First order age models, assuming constant growth rate and zero initial 230Th activity, display an average surface age of 63 ± 18 y despite the fact that the surfaces of the organisms were known to be alive at the time collection in the 1990s. A knowledge of the initial 230Th activity is necessary to incorporate the surface age constraint into an age model. In the Bahamas, this approach estimates an initial 230Th/232Th activity ratio of 4.3 ± 1.1 when applied to several individuals of the Caribbean sclerosponge Ceratoporella nicholsoni. These results differ from the same approach applied to previous work on Jamaican sclerosponges accreting aragonite in an environment closer to crustal sources and with less carbonate substrate. We report new measurements of Jamaican sclerosponge suggesting initial activity ratios of 230Th/232Th of ∼1, albeit with a high amount of uncertainty, indicating a regional difference in initial thorium activities. The estimates of initial 230Th/232Th activity ratios in the Bahamas are similar to the dissolved ratio rather than the particulate ratio and can be explained by mixing of open ocean water and bank-top surface water, however no information regarding temporal changes in the amount of initial 230Th/232Th activity available for incorporation into biogenic aragonite can be constrained using this approach. Growth rates do not change after correction for initial thorium and they display an inverse relationship with depth. Although this paper deals uniquely with sclerosponge aragonite, it is likely that the approach can be used on any incrementally deposited biogenic aragonite, provided information is known a priori about the first order growth model and there is evidence that initial thorium incorporation is representative of ambient environment rather than individual physiology.  相似文献

The main limiting factor in obtaining precise and accurate uranium-series (U-series) ages of corals that lived during the last few hundred years is the ability to constrain and correct for initial thorium-230 (230Th0), which is proportionally much higher in younger samples. This is becoming particularly important in palaeoecological research where accurate chronologies, based on the 230Th chronometer, are required to pinpoint changes in coral community structure and the timing of mortality events in recent time (e.g. since European settlement of northern Australia in the 1850s). In this study, thermal ionisation mass spectrometry (TIMS) U-series dating of 43 samples of known ages collected from living Porites spp. from the far northern, central and southern inshore regions of the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) was performed to spatially constrain initial 230Th/232Th (230Th/232Th0) variability. In these living Porites corals, the majority of 230Th/232Th0 values fell within error of the conservative bulk Earth 230Th/232Th atomic value of 4.3 ± 4.3 × 10?6 (2σ) generally assumed for 230Th0 corrections where the primary source is terrestrially derived. However, the results of this study demonstrate that the accuracy of 230Th ages can be further improved by using locally determined 230Th/232Th0 values for correction, supporting the conclusion made by Shen et al. (2008) for the Western Pacific. Despite samples being taken from regions adjacent to contrasting levels of land modification, no significant differences were found in 230Th/232Th0 between regions exposed to varying levels of sediment during river runoff events. Overall, 39 of the total 43 230Th/232Th0 atomic values measured in samples from inshore reefs across the entire region show a normal distribution ranging from 3.5 ± 1.1 to 8.1 ± 1.1 × 10?6, with a weighted mean of 5.76 ± 0.34 × 10?6 (2σ, MSWD = 8.1). Considering the scatter of the data, the weighted mean value with a more conservative assigned error of 25% (i.e. 5.8 ± 1.4 × 10?6) that encompasses the full variation of the 39 230Th/232Th0 measurements is recommended as a more appropriate value for initial 230Th corrections for U-series dating of most Porites samples from inshore regions of the GBR. This will result in significant improvement in both the precision and accuracy of the corrected 230Th ages related to those based on the assumed bulk Earth 230Th/232Th0 value of 4.3 ± 4.3 × 10?6. However, several anomalously high 230Th/232Th0 values reaching up to 28.0 ± 1.6 × 10?6 occasionally found in some coral annual bands coinciding with El Niño years imply high 230Th/232Th0 sources and highlight the complexities of understanding 230Th/232Th0 variability. For U-series dating of young coral samples from such sites where anomalous 230Th/232Th0 values occur, we suggest replicate dating of multiple growth bands with known age difference to verify age accuracy.  相似文献

High-resolution chronologies in continental carbonate deposits such as tufas are required for detailed palaeoclimatic and environmental studies. This work set out to establish if high-resolution U-series dating of detritus-rich Holocene tufas is routinely possible. The study centres on a paludal Holocene tufa from southern England that already has an existing Holocene chronology, based on 14C and supported by biostratigraphy, against which to compare U-series dates. The results show that significant detrital contamination combined with low initial U concentrations, and short time for ingrowth of radiogenic 230Th make high-resolution U-series dating of Holocene tufa very difficult. Moreover, a single (230Th/232Th)initial value to correct for the presence of detrital 230Th is not appropriate at the study site, a finding that may apply to most Holocene tufas. Total sample dissolution of coeval samples demonstrates considerable variability in the isotopic composition of the detritus. The total sample dissolution data are too scattered to constrain chronologies at the required resolution and may indicate the incorporation of a 230Th-rich component in the detritus.  相似文献

铀系组分法是测定火山岩不同组分中的230Th/232Th值和238U/232Th值、计算年龄的方法。岩石中的各组分是用磁选或浮选分离的。经过论证,组分法与等时线方法是等价的,但不需要从全岩中精选纯的单矿物,不会发生铀和钍同位素的分馏。根据组分法模式测定了云南腾冲盆地北来凤山、老龟坡山和马鞍山火山岩样品的年龄,分别为0.11MaB.P.、51000。B.P.和25000aB.P,与地层顺序相吻合。组分法对于年青火山岩定年有着极大的潜力。  相似文献

桂北泗里口老堡组为一套埃迪卡拉纪—寒武纪过渡时期(大约550~540 Ma)深水盆地沉积的硅质岩。它们的SiO2含量普遍高(平均93.8%);Al2O3含量为0.17%~4.92%,沿剖面自下而上明显增加,上部超过2%;Al/(Al+Fe+Mn)比值多高于0.42;Fe/Ti比值大都小于16.3;Al2O3/( Al2O3+Fe2O3)比值多高于0.4,剖面上部样品的比值为0.8~0.9;Y/Ho比值为26.4~36.9,中、下部样品较高(多高于32),上部样品的比值接近地壳值(27);Eu/Eu*平均值为1.0,正异常不明显。剖面下部样品的∑REE含量低(15.9×10-6~27.1×10-6),具有与现代海水相近的REE配分,没有正的Eu异常,不同于海底的热液流体和与其有关的碧玉的REE配分;中部样品的∑REE含量为26.2×10-6~49.4×10-6,由于所含陆源碎屑的增加,REE配分变得平坦,但仍有海水REE的某些特征;上部样品的∑REE含量为40.5×10-6~59×10-6,显示与平均页岩相似的平坦的REE配分,但∑REE含量仅为平均页岩的大约1/4~1/3。这些常量和稀土元素特征表明,海底热液和陆源碎屑都不可能成为泗里口老堡组硅质岩的重要物源。埃迪卡拉纪—寒武纪过渡时期华南深水盆地厚层硅质岩沉积反映了这一时期大气高CO2浓度,大量陆源化学风化的硅质流入海洋和大量生物的降解可能是造成这些硅质岩形成的基本原因。  相似文献

富铌玄武岩是一类具有特殊地球化学特征的岛弧玄武岩。与正常岛弧玄武岩相比,它具有硅饱和并富钠的特征;同时具有相对高的Nb(一般>7×10-6)、TiO2(1%~2%)和P含量,以及低的LILE/HFSE和HREE/HFSE比值,并富集高场强元素;它的原始地幔标准化微量元素图显示了弱的Nb、Ta负异常(有时出现弱的正异常),原始地幔标准化La/Nb比值小于2(但很少小于0.7),它是由受埃达克质熔体交代过的地幔橄榄岩部分熔融形成的。由于富铌玄武岩与埃达克岩是大洋板片俯冲作用的直接产物,因此,通过对该岩石组合及与俯冲作用有关的流体和熔体的研究,不仅可以查明洋壳俯冲作用过程中的岩浆活动特征,还可以阐明洋壳俯冲及壳幔相互作用,具十分重要的地质意义。  相似文献
