以产自泰国玄武岩的红宝石为研究对象,采用宝石学常规仪器、电子探针、LA-ICP-MS、紫外-可见光光度计、红外光谱、拉曼光谱等测试方法探究泰国红宝石的宝石学特征、化学元素特征、谱学特征,并与缅甸大理岩型红宝石、莫桑比克角闪岩型红宝石初步对比,分析产地特征。研究结果表明,泰国红宝石颜色较深,紫外光长波下多呈中等-弱红色荧光,短波下呈惰性;内部包裹体丰富,可见多种形态的固态、流体包裹体,双晶发育;化学成分主要为Al2O3,含有Cr、Fe、Ti、Mg、V、Ga、Si、Ni等微量元素,以高Fe、高Mg、低Ga为特征。紫外-可见光吸收光谱为Cr+Fe谱,Cr相关荧光峰较弱,红外光谱测试样品为红宝石,拉曼光谱存在6个振动峰,与刚玉标准拉曼光谱重合度较高。通过对红宝石的外观、荧光性、内部所含固态包裹体、流体包裹体种类及形态可对红宝石初步进行产地鉴别;微量元素Cr、Fe、Mg、Ga、V、Ti含量具有明显产地特征;不同产地红宝石的紫外-可见光光谱在吸收峰值上略有差异。  相似文献

采用宝石显微镜、电子探针及其背散射电子成像技术研究了目前市场上的一种铅玻璃充填红宝石样品,重点分析了其固体包裹体的成分、形态、分布等特征以及铅玻璃充填物。该红宝石原石样品为暗红色-浅红色,透明-半透明,以六方柱状为主,未见或少见桶状或腰鼓状。研究结果显示,样品经过了铅玻璃充填与热处理,但处理温度较低,其矿物包裹体没有明显的热熔现象。其矿物包裹体有金红石、锆石、磷灰石、云母以及尖晶石等。其中,金红石包裹体可分为先成与同生两种,先成金红石包裹体可见破损现象,同生金红石包裹体主要呈短柱状,部分为长柱状。最后,对该红宝石样品中包裹体的成因及其可能产地进行了讨论。  相似文献

红、蓝宝石的原料是刚玉类矿物的特殊品种,其化学成分是是Al_2O_3,但是颜色和透明度与刚玉相比是很不相同的.名贵红宝石的颜色如鸽血一样鲜红,蓝宝石的颜色除墨蓝色者外,还有其它各种鲜艳的颜色;矿物晶体的透明度都比较好,一般为透明至半透明;有些刚玉晶体中因有特殊的包裹体存在,经琢磨后而有星光效应,也是极为名贵的宝石品种.  相似文献

铍扩散处理是一种较新的刚玉处理方法,目前在国内还未见相关的实验研究报道。运用类质同象替代原理与扩散原理,以焰熔法合成无色刚玉和山东天然蓝宝石为实验对象,在一定的温度环境下,加入适量的BeO或金属Be粉末及其它添加剂,进行了铍扩散处理实验。实验结果显示,样品的颜色色调及浓度有明显的改善,表明铍扩散处理可以使样品的颜色变为粉红色、黄色和橙红色,也可以使山东天然蓝宝石样品的颜色变浅。  相似文献

天然红宝石和蓝宝石的包裹体中常见典型的含水矿物包裹体,这些含水矿物包裹体容易受外界环境升温而发生改变。微量含水矿物包裹体变化会对红宝石和蓝宝石的物理和化学性质产生明显影响,该性质为宝石热处理的鉴定提供了检测思路。本文采集了天然红宝石和蓝宝石样品,用显微镜放大观察包裹体特征,结合红外光谱与显微共焦激光拉曼光谱测试研究了含水矿物包裹体的特征。结果表明:天然红宝石和蓝宝石样品中含水矿物包裹体的外观轮廓清晰,晶形完整;红外光谱在2000~3700cm~(-1)附近显示出2105~2110cm~(-1)和1977~1985cm~(-1)硬水铝石和3619cm~(-1)和3696cm~(-1)高岭石等水(H_2O或—OH等)的特征吸收峰;拉曼光谱中可见角闪石、云母、磷灰石和长石等结晶度较好的典型含水矿物包裹体的特征拉曼位移。该系列特征揭示了红宝石和蓝宝石样品中含有水的特征,可作为红宝石和蓝宝石天然成因且未经过热处理的鉴定依据。  相似文献

西藏康金拉铬铁矿石的矿物学研究中,发现大量的微粒金刚石和碳硅石等超高压异常地幔矿物,表明它们产在一个强还原的高压环境.本研究在铬铁矿石中还发现了刚玉及其中大量的矿物包裹体.电子探针等方法研究表明,包裹体的种类包括简单氧化物,如金红石;自然钛;Ti-N、Ti-Si、Ti-C、Ti-Si-P、Ti-B等合金类;含稀土元素的硅酸盐矿物,以及一些未知矿物.结合对铬铁矿石中其他矿物的研究成果,认为康金拉铬铁矿石中的刚玉及其中的强还原环境形成的矿物组合形成于深部地幔.因此,康金拉铬铁矿石中的刚玉可以认为是一种新的带有高压环境信息的标志性矿物.  相似文献

近期,国家黄金钻石制品质量监督检验中心对一串具蓝色晕彩的长石手链样品进行常规检测时,在长波紫外灯下多数珠子发中等强度的蓝白色荧光,且荧光在珠子中呈线状分布。为了对该长石样品进行准确定名,并探究其紫外荧光产生的原因,对其进行了常规宝石学检测、电子探针和红外光谱测试与分析。结果显示,该样品的折射率约为1.53,在显微镜下具有层状结构和针片状包裹体,结合其电子探针的分析结果,确定该样品为晕长石,即具有蓝色晕彩的钠长石;基于样品表面具有典型的"蚯蚓行踪"纹路、沿裂隙发出的紫外荧光及红外光谱下3 053,3 038cm^-1处的吸收峰,确定其为注胶处理的晕长石。  相似文献

粉色水晶内部的针状包裹体常被认为是三组呈三方对称的金红石或蓝线石,至今未有定论。本文选取含有针状包裹体的4颗星光粉晶,利用宝石学显微镜、激光拉曼光谱仪及紫外可见分光光度计对样品进行观察与测试,以确定包裹体的分布特征及矿物种类。无损拉曼测试发现包裹体的特征振动峰949 cm-1、999 cm-1与蓝线石标准峰相匹配,可确定针状包裹体为蓝线石或与其极为相近的矿物。放大检查发现,包裹体直径约0.5μm,长度可达毫米级,近定向分布,整体上呈汇聚状,在某些位置可粗略分为三组,同组针状包裹体近似平行分布。造成六射星光的三组蓝线石立体相交,未观察到明显的三方对称关系,与水晶的结晶习性无直接关系,故认为蓝线石为先成包裹体,在水晶的生长过程中被捕获。紫外可见分光光谱仅显示粉色蓝线石的特征吸收,表明大量的粉色蓝线石包裹体对粉色水晶的粉色有一定贡献。  相似文献

运用激光拉曼光谱、电子探针、包裹体测温等方法,对山东蓝宝石中的包裹体进行分析和测试。发现山东蓝宝石中包裹体数量巨大,裂隙、色带、针状包裹体以及多相包裹体是其主要的特征。其中主要的固体包裹体有锆石、刚玉、黑云母、尖晶石等,而多相包裹体的成分主要为H2O、CO2及玻璃相。电子探针结果显示,Fe的含量对于蓝宝石的颜色及色带的发育有制约作用。  相似文献

钙铬榴石是石榴石族中的稀有品种,文中对近年新发现的西藏东部钙铬榴石样品进行了矿物学特征分析和呈色机理探讨。采用扫描电镜观察钙铬榴石样品的显微结构并进行能谱分析,结果表明其内部含有颗粒很小的铬铁矿和石英包裹体,以及裂隙中充填的方解石和与钙铬榴石为类质同象连续关系的钙铝榴石,从而为该钙铬榴石的夕卡岩成因和产状提供了佐证。采用紫外-可见光分光光度计对样品进行吸收光谱测试,对其颜色指数进行了定量分析,所得样品颜色的主波长为530~540nm,饱和度为80%左右,进而分析了钙铬榴石的颜色主要由Cr3+引起,其呈色机理归因于Cr3+的d轨道电子跃迁。  相似文献

Corundum from basaltic terrains: a mineral inclusion approach to the enigma   总被引:13,自引:0,他引:13  
 This paper investigates the origin of corundum megacrysts that occur in many basaltic terrains, and which are considered to be eroded from basaltic rocks. Geochemical data for over 80 primary mineral inclusions within corundum megacrysts are used to gain a new insight into the petrogenetic history of the corundum megacrysts. A wide spectrum of minerals is present as inclusions in the corundum; the most common are Nb−Ta oxides (such as titaniferous columbite and uranpyrochlore), alkali feldspar, low-Ca plagioclase (albite-oligoclase) and zircon. Rare inclusions include Fe,Cu-sulphide (low in Ni), cobalt-rich spinel, Th,Ce-rich phosphate and uraninite. The similar chemistry of some inclusion minerals from corundum occurring in widely separated areas suggests that the corundum megacrysts in basalts have a similar petrogenesis. Geochemical characteristics of the inclusions indicate a bimodal grouping, which is best explained by a mixing-hybridisation process. This study indicates that the corundum megacrysts are not cogenetic with their basaltic hosts but are crustal fragments accidentally incorporated into the erupting magma. It is suggested that interactions between a silicic component and an intruding carbonatitic or similar Si-poor magma is responsible for Al-oversaturation, resulting in locally distributed lenses of corundum-bearing rock of mixed paragenesis (“hybrid rock hypothesis”). Feldspar exsolution textures provide strong evidence that this hybridisation occurred at mid-crustal levels. Subsequent volcanic eruptions brought the corundum-bearing rocks (later disintegrated in the magma) up to the Earth's surface. 湖北英山刚玉矿床是本世纪五、六十年代发现的,由于多种原因未能对其进行研究和开发利用。本文系统地研究了英山刚玉矿物学特征,测定了各种物性和参数,观测了刚玉包裹体;并利用电子探针、粉晶X射线分析、可见光谱等现代测试手段,较详细地分析了刚玉的化学成分、晶体结构及光谱特征,并进行了热处理实验研究。指出湖北英山产出的刚玉颗粒大,晶形好,颜色较浅,可用热处理的方法改成蓝色、黄色、肉红色,但由于裂隙发育,包裹体  相似文献

Mineral inclusions of corundum are reported from diamonds from alluvial deposits of tributaries of the Rio Aripuanã, Juina, Brazil. We present the first recorded occurrence of sapphire as an inclusion in diamond and expand on the database of ruby and white corundum inclusions. Ruby inclusions are found to occur both as isolated and touching grains with aluminous pyroxene and associated with ferropericlase. Mineral chemistry and phase relations place the origin of such ruby-bearing diamonds within the lower mantle at 770 km. Mineral associations indaving other corundum inclusions were not observed; hence, their depth of origin is less certain.

Compositions of corundum samples were characterised by electron and ion microprobe. Given the scarcity of literature data, corundum samples from a variety of other geological settings were also analysed. Samples comprised corundums associated with granitic emplacement, metasomatism, amphibolite-facies and granulite-facies rocks, gem and industrial synthetic origins and carmine-coloured corundums recovered from kimberlite drill cores.

In addition to variable amounts of Cr, Fe, Ti, Mg and Si, measurable quantities of other transition elements and high field strength elements were also detected. Corundums from similar geological settings show very similar compositions and are easily distinguishable from other settings. Irrespective of locality, rubies from Norwegian, Tanzanian and Kenyan amphibolite-facies rocks are compositionally indistinguishable. Additionally, corundums from metasomatised zones associated with contact metamorphism from Arizona and Japan were very similar, particularly characterised by unusually high abundance of mobile Zr and Nb (tens of ppm). All Juina inclusions are particularly distinguishable from other corundums by high concentrations of Ni (18–171 ppm weight), typically at least an order of magnitude enriched over the same corundum varietal types from elsewhere. Furthermore, the sapphire inclusion exhibited much larger ratios of Ga and Ge to HFSE elements compared to otherwise similar samples, and ruby inclusions are distinguished by high Mg/Fe ratios (0.27–1.56 by weight). Compositional differences between inclusions in diamonds and corundums from other settings in addition to corundum's physical and chemical durability suggest that with the employment of rapid identification tools such as energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS) and laser-ICPMS, corundum has promise as an indicator of diamond prospectivity.  相似文献

Any and all proposed theories regarding the origin of sapphires are still very much open to debate. Critical inconsistency arises on the magmatic petrogenesis mechanism of sapphire crystal formation. The Nezametnoye Deposit is one of the most prospective placer deposits of jewelry grade corundum (sapphire) and zircon (jacinth) in Russia, and is known for its native and alluvial gold–wolframite–tin deposits. We present new data obtained from mineral and primary melt inclusions that are syngenetic to corundum. Electron microprobe analysis indicates that rutile, zircon, albite, zinc-bearing hercynite, columbite, and fluorite represent syngenetic mineral inclusions. Silicate melt inclusions are almost always associated with carbon dioxide inclusions; this correlation suggests that a heterogeneous fluid–melt system was present during corundum crystallization. Distinctive features of chemical composition of the inclusions, along with their agpaitic coefficients, indicate that corundum crystallization occurred from granosyenite melts. Primary carbon dioxide-rich inclusions form random groups, or are associated with melt inclusions. P–T conditions for corundum crystallization have been calculated as 780–820 °C and 1.7–3 kbar, based on data from primary carbon dioxide and melt inclusions.  相似文献

An Al‐rich, SiO2‐deficient sapphirine–garnet‐bearing rock occurs as a metapelitic boudin within granulite facies Proterozoic charnockitic gneisses and migmatites on the island of Hisøy, Bamble Sector, SE Norway. The boudin is made up of peraluminous sapphirine, garnet, corundum, spinel, orthopyroxene, sillimanite, cordierite, staurolite and biotite in a variety of assemblages. Thermobarometric calculations based on coexisting sapphirine–spinel, garnet–corundum–spinel–sillimanite, sapphirine–orthopyroxene, and garnet–orthopyroxene indicate peak‐metamorphic conditions near to 930 °C at 10 kbar. Corundum occurs as single 200 to 3000 micron sized skeletal crystal intergrowths in cores of optically continuous pristine garnet porphyroblasts. Quartz occurs as 5–60 micron‐sized euhedral to lobate inclusions in the corundum where it is in direct contact with the corundum with no evidence of a reaction texture. Some crystal inclusions exhibit growth zoning, which indicates that textural equilibrium was achieved. Electron Back‐Scatter Diffraction (EBSD) studies reveal that the quartz inclusions share a common c‐axis with the host corundum crystal. The origin of the quartz inclusions in corundum is enigmatic as recent experimental studies have confirmed the instability of quartz–corundum over geologically realistic P–T ranges. The combined EBSD and textural observations suggest the presence of a former silica‐bearing proto‐corundum, which underwent exsolution during post‐peak‐metamorphic uplift and cooling. Exsolution of quartz in corundum is probably confined to fluid‐absent conditions where phase transitions by coupled dissolution–precipitation mechanisms are prevented.  相似文献

运用电子探针测定了云南哀牢山伟晶岩和新疆可可 托海伟晶岩矿物中熔融包裹体及流体-熔融包裹体子矿物成分。据73个包裹体中120个测 点分 析结果,鉴定出锌尖晶石、刚玉、磷灰石、磁铁矿、白云母、黑云母、钾长石、钠长石、绿 柱石和石英等10种 子矿物,并确定矿物组合27个。其中锌尖晶石、刚玉在两地区伟晶岩熔融包裹体中属首次发 现,磷灰石成分属首次测定。两地伟晶岩矿物的熔融及流体-熔融包裹体中子 矿 物成分及矿物组合各异,包裹体中子矿物与主矿物的化学成分存在一定演化规律,可作为了 解伟晶岩浆结晶分异作用、元素演化规律的依据。研究表明,伟晶岩存在局部岩浆分异作 用,岩浆具不混溶性及非均匀性。此成果对了解伟晶岩物质成分、形成机制及成因研究具重 要意义。对岩浆岩、地幔岩及陨石研究也有一定启迪。  相似文献

Potential sources for alluvial gem corundum and zircon from the Rio Mayo area, near Mercaderes, Colombia are reviewed, based on U–Pb dating of syngenetic and protogenetic mineral inclusions in corundum samples and on a zircon megacryst. Corundum recovered from the region (approx. 99% sapphire, 1% ruby) commonly shows growth banding, includes colour change stones and exhibits overlaps in colour ranges and inclusion characteristics. This suggests a contiguous genetic suite. The U–Pb dating used laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) techniques. Because of the young ages and low-U contents of the dated zircons, the acquired data required a special statistical treatment. The results from zircon, fluorapatite and allanite-(Ce) inclusions provide a corundum crystallization age of 8 to 11 Ma, in relation to northern Andean Miocene uplift and magmatism. The zircon megacryst gave a younger crystallization age of c. 0.6 Ma, unrelated to the corundum genesis. Geochemical parameters (trace element and O isotope ranges) for corundum samples suggest a metamorphic/metasomatic origin. The age data rules out corundum genesis during the Late Cretaceous ophiolitic generation, but leave open possible later metasomatic interactions with this substrate. The Cr/Ga and Ga/Mg ratios and O isotope range for the corundum fall within the known limits for metasomatic, desilicated felsic/ultramafic ‘plumasitic’ associations, suggesting a possible parental source. Allanite, extremely rare as an inclusion in corundum elsewhere, may prove a characteristic inclusion for Rio Mayo corundum.  相似文献

Abundant melt-and fluid inclusions occur in corundum megacrysts of alkaline basalt from the Changle area,Shandong province,eastern China.One type of melt inclusions,i.e.muhiphase melt inclusions(glass bubbles daughter minerals)were identified,which occur along growth zones of host corundum megacrysts.Microthermometry and laser Raman microprobe analysis were performed on the melt inclusions.The bubbles within the melt inclusions are confirmed to be CO_2-rich phase and the daughter minerals are probably silicates,such as augite and okenite.The results of high temperature homogenization experiment strongly suggest that two immiscible melts,i.e.a H_2O-and CO_2-rich melt and an anhydrous and CO_2-poor melt were trapped by melt inclusions in corundum megacryst.  相似文献

利用电子探针、扫描电镜分析技术在产自山东碱性玄武岩的刚玉巨晶中发现了尖晶石族氧化物包体,并有许多刚玉、钛铁矿、高硅氧化物、辉石、长石、方解石等包体.这些包体矿物的化学成分明显与该地区相应的巨晶矿物不同,具有深源性的特征.刚玉巨晶具有世代现象,其生长具有明显的阶段性,是在一种高度演化的富含SiO_2岩浆中生成,生长过程极其复杂.  相似文献
