乌日尼图地区奥陶系乌宾敖包组、巴彦呼舒组呈北东向展布,表现出十分复杂的空间产出特征.多形成北东向延伸,轴面大致北西倾,自北西向南东由紧密褶皱变为宽缓褶皱.近北东向陡倾劈理带是该地区表现最明显的一种构造形式,它以十分发育的近北东向陡倾劈理和轴向近东西的直立褶皱为特征.劈理走向近东西,倾向南东或北西,倾角在60°-80°之间,由强烈变位并被改造的早期条带状构造和新生劈理组成,新生劈理由强烈拉长的石英条带和黑云母、角闪石等片柱状矿物定向表现出来,新生劈理切割早期条带状构造,反映了对早期构造的改造和构造置换.褶皱构造以早期条带状构造为变形面,轴面陡倾或直立,与近东西向的陡倾劈理平行,其在强变形域多以十分紧闭的叶内褶皱产出,变形较弱时为开阔-闭合褶皱,陡倾劈理以不等的间隔产出,由此导致一些中-弱变形域的存在.  相似文献

本文结合连州地区开展的四幅1∶5万区调工作的成果,对野外现象、构造形迹特征、形成的动力机制进行讨论分析。认为连州地区的逆冲推覆断裂位于宝安一带呈NWW向展布。其主要受控于印支期NWW向构造动力机制,外来系统由NNE向SSW推覆,形成早期低角度逆冲推覆断裂及牵引褶皱,并受晚期燕山期NNE向构造动力机制改造,由SEE向NWW侧挤压,推覆断坪面纵向叠加变形,地表先后出现NWW及NNE向的剥蚀,从而形成构造窗、飞来峰等构造现象。  相似文献

在栖霞复背斜北翼发育大量韧性剪切带,近EW向小庄—金山—大庄头韧性剪切带沿新太古代TTG岩系(栖霞超单元)与古元古界粉子山群接触带展布,带内糜棱岩化、片理化、碎裂岩化发育,具韧—脆性剪切变形特征。金山金矿床与该剪切带关系密切,是受韧—脆性剪切构造控制的碎裂蚀变岩型金矿。从其矿床地质特征入手,解析地层、构造、岩浆岩等控矿因素与金成矿的关系,总结了矿化富集规律及找矿标志,预测了找矿前景。  相似文献

通过近4年的地质调查工作,在内蒙古达茂旗哈力齐地区某矿权内发现了一个金矿化点,该矿点由两条石脉(带)组成,矿化不同期次的构造控制。初步认为,早期近EW向断裂构成了深部热液向上运移的通道,在晚期NE向断裂构造活动的作用下,形成了近EW向石英脉,深部热液沿早期近EW向断裂运移至浅部,在晚期的近EW向石英脉中形成金矿化。通过资源量估算获得金金属量为871kg。  相似文献

本文通过分析龙窝煤矿的地质构造,研究其演化历史,探讨构造发育对煤矿开采的影响。综合研究发现区内发育褶皱1条(龙窝向斜)和断层7条。研究区的构造演化是在黔中隆起的基础上经过燕山期NW-SE向挤压形成了先期的龙窝向斜及逆断层F_3和F_7,后期构造反转发生伸展作用形成了正断层F_1、F_2、F_4、F_5和F_6。区内构造的发育,破坏了煤层的连续性,还导致矿区的开采技术条件变得复杂,对矿区的煤炭资源开发有一定的影响。  相似文献

通过对山西西山煤田古交矿区断裂构造分布特征、构造组合以及力学性质等方面综合分析,对矿区断裂构造发育规律及其构造演化特征进行了研究。研究认为:区内断裂构造主要为NEE、NNE向高角度正断层,断裂构造的发育具有明显的分区性、分带性以及等距性特征,组合形式主要为雁列式展布、堑垒相间型、阶梯状以及"Y"字形构造组合。矿区主体构造的形成演化主要经历了燕山早期、燕山中~晚期、喜马拉雅期三个阶段,造就了井田现今的构造格局。  相似文献

阳山金矿带位于陕、甘、川"金三角"地区,是我国超大型金矿床。大地构造位置处于扬子板块、中朝板块、松藩地块的聚合地带,属西秦岭南亚带。矿区内方解石产出于三种不同构造环境的岩层:无明显构造现象的岩层,发生褶皱的岩层和断裂发育的岩层。根据对矿区内这三种不同环境下产出的方解石进行研究,得出如下结论:(1)研究区内构造活动明显的区域,方解石发生了明显的变形,产生了与构造背景相符的显微特征,正确反映了构造运动的变迁;(2)研究区内构造活动不明显的区域,方解石同样发生了一定程度的变形,反映了宏观构造背景对其显微特征的影响;(3)位于褶皱和断裂构造位置的方解石,其显微特征存在较大差别,但基本上符合各构造期次的变化特征。可能是由于褶皱所受到的构造叠加较强,其方解石变形比断层处的更为复杂;(4)灰岩样本中方解石脉体较发育,笔者判断其为灰岩受构造活动影响而原地生成。  相似文献

化德县大兴牧村一带属华北陆块北缘晚古生代增生带,地层系统属华北地层区内蒙古草原地层分区.古元古界宝音图岩群岩石组合为一套变质陆源碎屑沉积一火山地层,为测区最古老的变质地层,呈不规则状捕虏体或残留体产出,总体呈北东东向条带状展布,地层内部褶皱构造发育,断裂构造以挤压、走滑为特征.宝音图岩群为一套低绿片岩相的变质岩系,其变质共生矿物组合为红柱石、白云母、黑云母、石榴子石.由变质作用形成了红柱石,变形作用使得红柱石产生了显微变形构造.  相似文献

通过对黔西北阳关寨勘查地质勘查资料的综合分析,研究了该勘查区的构造特征以及对煤层赋存的影响。研究表明:勘查区构造特征主要表现为受燕山期应力作用的影响,形成的以NW向褶曲与断裂为主;勘查区的3条NW向褶皱改造了本区煤层的空间位置,形成了现如今该地区煤层埋藏起伏不平的埋藏形态,抬升了中部背斜轴部地区煤层埋深,有利于中部地区煤层的开采利用;勘查区内切割煤层的断层不仅限制了煤层空间发育位置,还改造了煤层的空间发育形态,破坏了煤层连续性。  相似文献

A succession of depositional sequences, recording middle-late Pleistocene and Holocene glacial–interglacial cycles, documents the impact of short-term tectonic deformation on the western Adriatic margin. The western Adriatic margin is part of the Apennine foreland which was intensely, though variably, deformed during the Meso-Cenozoic evolution of the Adriatic region from a passive margin to a foreland basin. The study area extends offshore Gargano Promontory, an uplifted sector of the Adriatic foreland, and includes three major deformation belts located along or cross-strike to the margin: (1) the NW-SE Gallignani-Pelagosa ridge, (2) the WSW-ENE Tremiti-Pianosa high (both located north of Gargano) and (3) the W-E to NW-SE Gondola fault deformation belt (in the south Adriatic). Long-term deformation along these tectonic lineaments is documented on conventional low-frequency seismic profiles by regional folds and faults affecting Eocene–Miocene units overlain by dominantly draping Plio-Quaternary deposits. At this scale of observation, only north of Gargano Promontory there is some evidence of Plio-Quaternary units thinning against structural highs, thus suggesting that tectonic deformation was protracted through this interval. Based on new high-resolution seismic data, we show that deformation along these pre-existing tectonic structures continued during the Quaternary, affecting middle-late Pleistocene and even Holocene units on the shelf and upper slope north and south of Gargano Promontory. These recent deformations consist of gentle folds and high-angle faults, locally producing topographic relief that affects the stratigraphy and thickness of syn-tectonic deposits. We interpret the small-scale, shallow faults and gentle folds affecting middle-late Pleistocene and Holocene deposits, north and south Gargano Promontory, as the evidence of ongoing foreland deformation along inherited regional fold and fault systems.  相似文献

Miocene sedimentary and volcanic rocks in the north-eastern Whipple Mountains, California, and the north-western Aubrey Hills, Arizona, accumulated in the upper plate of the Whipple detachment fault during regional extension and slip on the detachment. Miocene rocks in this area can be divided into three sequences: (1) pre-18.5-Ma dominantly volcanic rocks; (2) the 18.5-Ma Peach Springs Tuff; and (3) post-18.5-Ma dominantly sedimentary rocks. Important stratigraphic markers in sequence 3 include a 100- to 14–0-m-thick basalt unit and the voluminous War Eagle landslide, both of which correlate across Lake Havasu from the north-east Whipple Mountains to the Aurbrey Hills. We divide clastic sedimentary rocks of sequence 3 into three informal members: (3a) conglomerate and sandstone stratigraphically beneath the basalt; (3b) conglomerate and sandstone above the basalt and below the War Eagle landslide; and (3c) conglomerate and sandstone that overlie the War Eagle landslide. Detailed stratigraphic analysis and field mapping reveal dramatic south-westward thickening of member 3b strata, from about 50 m in the Aubrey Hills to over 1500 m in the north-east Whipple Mountains. In the north-east Whipple Mountains, this thick dipping section is overlain by the War Eagle landslide along a major angular unconformity; in the Aubrey Hills the base of the War Eagle landslide is roughly parallel to bedding dips of underlying strata. The above stratigraphic relationships can be explained by syndepositional growth of a rollover monocline by progressive tilting of the hangingwall above a master listric normal fault (Whipple detachment fault). This phase of upper-plate deformation began shortly after deposition of the basalt and ended prior to emplacement of the War Eagle landslide. Interbedded breccias low in member 3b, about 100 m above the basalt, record the first appearance of mylonitic detritus in the section. Growth of this upper-plate rollover was thus initiated at about the same time (shortly after deposition of the basalt) that the lower plate of the Whipple detachment fault was first exposed at the earth's surface by tectonic denudation and large-scale crustal uplift. These events are interpreted to record initiation of a secondary breakaway fault on the north-east flank of the growing Whipple detachment dome shortly after deposition of the basalt at about 14.5 (±1.0) Ma.  相似文献

The Gödöllő Hills, a low-relief terrain within the Central Pannonian Basin in Hungary, is characterised by moderate tectonic deformation rates. Although typical tectonic landforms are not clearly recognisable in the study area, this paper succeeded in discriminating between tectonically controlled landforms and features shaped by fluvial erosion or deflation with no tectonic control.DEM-based morphometric parameters including elevation, slope and surface roughness, enabled the delineation of two NW–SE trending spearhead-shaped ridges separated by a wide rectilinear valley of the same strike. Although directional statistics suggested possible tectonic control of NW–SE striking landforms, precise morphometry completed with an analysis of subsurface structures rejected their tectonic preformation. Deflation plays a significant role in shaping the area, and the presence of two large-scale yardangs separated by a wind channel is proposed. In temperate-continental areas of Europe, no deflational landforms of such scale have been described so far, suggesting that Pleistocene wind power in periglacial areas was more significant than it was previously thought.Characteristic drainage patterns and longitudinal valley profiles enabled the recognition of areas probably affected by neotectonic deformation. A good agreement was observed between locations of Quaternary warping predicted by the morphometric study and subsurface structures revealed by the tectonic analysis. Zones of surface uplift and subsidence corresponded to anticlinal and synclinal hinges of fault-related folds. In low-relief and slowly-deforming areas, where exogenous forces may override tectonic deformation, only the integrated application of morphometric and subsurface-structural indications could assure correct interpretation of the origin of various landforms, while a morphometric study alone could have led to misinterpretation of some morphometric indices apparently suggesting tectonic preformation. On the other hand, the described morphological expression of subsurface structures could verify Quaternary age of the deformation.  相似文献

We analyse a regional 2D seismic section of the Mexican Ridges foldbelt (MRFB), western Gulf of Mexico, and construct excess‐area diagrams for each of the structures comprising the foldbelt to estimate shortening, the onset of folding and the degradation of the folded seafloor. From the chronostratigraphy, we derive rates of tectonic and superficial mass transport and illustrate how they change across the MRFB. The resulting tectonic transport in the MRFB is 11.8 km forming a train of twelve buckle folds above a detachment at a depth of ca. 6 s of two‐way travel time, with an average strain of ca. 10%. The fold train grew at a mean uplift rate of ca. 0.21 mm year?1. Cross‐sectional balancing demonstrates that shortening balances the down‐slip motion of the Quetzalcoatl extensional system (QES), suggesting that horizontal compaction, volume loss and other penetrative deformation mechanisms are negligible. By assuming steady‐state denudation, we are able to distinguish sediments derived locally from sediments transported from distant sources. The constant of mass diffusivity, a parameter controlling the degradation rate, is ca. 0.42 m2 year ?1, which is characteristic of rapid, episodic, superficial mass movements. The combined sedimentation rate from both, local and distal sources is ca. 0.23 mm year ?1. Those values are not constant; structures proximal to the continental shelf are rising rapidly and are being degraded more intensely than those in the distal part of the MRFB, where sedimentation outweighs tectonic uplift. Our results indicate deformation initiated up to 3 Myr earlier than estimated from stacking patterns. Moreover, we find deformation started synchronously during the Late Miocene throughout the MRFB and not in two episodes as the stacking relations suggest. The discrepancy can be explained by a delay in the sedimentary response to folding. During early fold growth, nearly constant thickness strata are deposited before a progressive unconformity and other converging geometries develop. The development of growth strata is fast in the folds near the QES, which are being uplifted rapidly and degraded vigorously. Under these conditions, the stratigraphic relations give only a broad estimate of the pretectonic/syntectonic limit when compared to the excess‐area method. On the other hand, the development of growth strata took twice as much time for folds near the abyssal plain, which are being uplifted at a slower rate and where degradation is less intense. Consequently, the delay takes more time, and the use of stratigraphic relations introduces an even more pronounced bias towards younger ages in the identification of the onset of folding.  相似文献

The NW Iberian Massif is part of an ancient basement that has been considered a seismically stable area with no outstanding Cenozoic tectonics. However, recent seismic activity revealed the need for better knowledge of the Cenozoic structures in the area. Because of the lack of Mesozoic deposits and the scarcity of Cenozoic sediments, as well as the intense deformation of the Pre-Mesozoic Variscan basement, it is difficult to study the Cenozoic tectonic structures. In this work, the combination of detailed structural mapping and study of geomorphological markers in the Variscan basement has allowed recognition of Cenozoic tectonic structures, kinematics and processes that otherwise would not have been identified. The identified structures have been gathered into three groups: a) NE–SW-trending strike-slip faults, mainly sinistral, b) NNW-vergent thrusts that uplift the Caurel Mountains and Galaico-Leoneses Mountains, and c) E–W and ENE–WSW thrusts that uplift the Ancares Mountains in a pop-up structure. The structures cut the Pre-Cenozoic erosion surface and affect the drainage network that shows patterns characteristic of tectonic activity. The three groups of structures define sectors with different relief showing a strong link between geomorphological elements and tectonic structures. The intense drainage reorganisations observed in the area and the deformation of Miocene–Pliocene deposits, point out to a significant Late Miocene tectonic activity in the region. Thus, the Cenozoic tectonic activity in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula takes place during an extensive period of time which started with the episodes of compression in the Cantabrian Margin and it is identified nowadays by the recent seismic activity recorded in the north-western Iberian Peninsula (1995 and 1997 Lugo events). The seismicity is related to the Cenozoic structures identified in the area, which move under the present SE–NW horizontal maximum compression and coincide with the proposed seismogenic faults.  相似文献

The formation of the Songpan-Garzê Fold Belt and the initiation of the terrestrial Sichuan Basin are related to closing of the Palaeo-Tethys during the Late Triassic Indosinian orogeny. The Songpan-Garzê Fold Belt is composed of Triassic (T1--T23) turbiditic deposits and Palaeozoic greywacke-shale, whereas the Sichuan Basin consists of Sinian to middle Upper Triassic (T23) platform carbonates and Upper Triassic (T3X to Quaternary terrestrial elastics. Three principal deformation episodes during the Late Triassic (Norian to Rhaetian) were progressively localized towards the south-eastern margin of the fold belt. D1 was a SW-directed shortening event, related to continuous subduction of the Palaeo-Tethys, and produced NW-trending structures. Differential strain between the fold belt and the Sichuan Basin was accommodated by sinistral shearing along a NE-trending transitional zone during D2. D3 SE-directed compression was the result of collision between the Cimmerian and Eurasian Continents and initiated the Longmen Mountains Thrust-Nappe Belt and terrestrial Sichuan Basin. Post-D3 deformation, related to SE-directed thrusting in the Longmen Mountains, then propagated from hinterland to foreland. The Indosinian orogeny closed the Palaeo-Tethys and terminated the marine conditions that dominated the early evolution of the intracratonic Sichuan Basin. Tectonic loading from the exhumed fold belt and Thrust-Nappe Belt induced substantial subsidence in the Sichuan Basin, especially in the Western Sichuan Foreland Basin, resulting in the deposition of a terrestrial clastic sequence during Late Triassic (T3X to Quaternary times. The foreland basin history comprises an early stage during the Late Triassic (T3x1–2), an over-fill stage during the latest Triassic to Early Cretaceous (T3X3- K1J), and a shrinking stage from the Late Cretaceous to the Quaternary (K2J-Q). These can be correlated with tectonic events in the Thrust-Nappe Belt.  相似文献

在1998—2017年期间,我国组织了14次东南极地质考察,将考察的范围从中山站所在的拉斯曼丘陵向外扩展了约400 km,主要包括格罗夫山、埃默里冰架东缘-西南普里兹湾、北查尔斯王子山、布朗山、赖于尔群岛和西福尔丘陵等露岩区。通过大、中比例尺的地质编图和多学科综合研究,取得如下重要进展:(1)确定格罗夫山冰下高地为泛非期(~570—500 Ma)单相变质地体,发现镁铁质和泥质高压麻粒岩并刻画了泛非期造山的精细过程,为普里兹造山带的碰撞造山成因以及冈瓦纳超大陆的多陆块汇聚模型提供了岩石学支撑;(2)论证在印度克拉通与东南极陆块之间存在一个延长2 000 km的中元古代长寿命大陆岛弧,岛弧岩浆作用从~1 500 Ma一直持续到~1 000 Ma,提出雷纳造山带格林维尔期(~1 000—900 Ma)的构造演化可能经历了从弧陆碰撞到陆陆碰撞的过程;(3)在赖于尔群岛超高温变泥质岩中识别出早期蓝晶石的残留,确定了超高温变质作用顺时针演化的精细P-T轨迹;(4)在西福尔丘陵西南部基性岩墙群中发现了格林维尔期(~960—940 Ma)不均匀麻粒岩化,变质条件达820—870℃、0.84—0.97 GPa,认为西福尔陆块也卷入到印度克拉通与东南极陆块的碰撞造山过程;(5)在西福尔丘陵东南部浅变质冰川漂砾和松散砂中获得~3.5—3.3 Ga的古老锆石U-Pb年龄,推测在西福尔丘陵东南方向存在一个从前未知的古太古代冰下陆块。建议今后在东南极面向印度洋构造域的地质考察要进一步扩展到南查尔斯王子山、内皮尔杂岩和登曼冰川,研究工作的重点仍聚焦在南极大陆如何响应地质历史时期里超级大陆的聚散过程这一关键科学问题上,并可在以下几个方面展开:(1)太古宙古老地壳及陆核的识别与全球对比;(2)格林维尔期造山记录与罗迪尼亚超大陆汇聚;(3)泛非期造山记录与冈瓦纳超大陆汇聚;(4)显生宙冈瓦纳超大陆裂解及陆块分离。通过这些考察和研究工作,可以促使我国对南极地质科学的研究达到国际先进水平。  相似文献

The Guadalupe Mountains in New Mexico and Texas are home to more than 300 caves. Caves have been formed within the Upper Permian Capitan carbonate platform and are oriented along two structural trends, one of which is parallel to the platform margin and the other of which is roughly perpendicular to it. Our recent studies of the Capitan Platform have identified syndepositional faults associated with growth monoclines and synclines in Slaughter Canyon, New Mexico, and these are also parallel to the platform margin. In this study, we demonstrate that syndepositional faults and folds are also present in Rattlesnake and Walnut Canyons, as much as 19 km along strike, and that they have exerted control on karstification of the Guadalupe Mountains from the Upper Permian until present.Three distinctive episodes of karst formation have been recognised in outcrops on the basis of karst-filling deposits and crosscutting relationships. The syndepositional “Phase 1 karst” was formed along syndepositional faults and fractures and is filled by platform-derived sediments. The burial “Phase 2 karst” is filled by post-Permian siliciclastics and is limited to the youngest syndepositional faults and fractures that penetrate the platform in the proximity of its terminal margin. Connectivity of these youngest faults and fractures to the platform top and the overlying stratigraphy is inferred to have controlled the distribution of the Phase 2 karst. The “Phase 3 karst” includes the present cave systems, which were mainly formed by sulphuric acid produced by mixing of fossil and fresh underground waters in conjunction with the uplift of the Guadalupe Mountains in the Late Tertiary, and have since been modified by vadose karst processes. The Phase 3 karst caves are not solely developed along syndepositional faults and fractures as the earlier karst palaeocaverns are, but also follow another, uplift-related, structural trend.Syndepositional folds, faults, and fractures in the Capitan Platform have influenced the shaping of the modern surface geomorphology of the Guadalupe Mountains by controlling drainage and, hence, erosion. Trellis drainage parallel to the platform margin is developed where syndepositional folds, faults, and fractures occur. The morphology of the trellis drainage varies systematically across the range in response to the character of the deformation structures and karst features along which the drainage channels have developed.  相似文献

千湖山(4249 m) 是横断山脉中段保存确切第四纪冰川遗迹的山地,受西南季风影响强烈。对于研究青藏高原边缘山地冰川发育与气候和构造之间的耦合关系具有十分重要的科学意义。在千湖山海拔3500 m以上保存着古冰川侵蚀与堆积地貌,冰川发育依托海拔4000~4200 m的夷平面及其支谷地形。冰川形态类型为小型的冰帽以及由冰帽边缘溢流进入山谷的山谷冰川。应用相对地貌法,光释光(OSL) 年代测试,本文确定千湖山地区的冰进系列:末次冰盛期(LGM,22.2±1.9 ka BP)、末次冰期中期(MIS3b,37.3±3.7 ka BP、45.6±4.3 ka BP45.6±4.3 ka BP)、末次冰期早期(MIS4)。千湖山冰川前进规模是MIS3b 阶段大于末次冰盛期,主要原因是末次冰期中期(MIS3b) 时本区气候相对湿润,而在末次冰盛期(MIS2) 时气候条件比较干燥。在总体相似的气候背景下,与横断山其它存在多期次冰川作用的山地相比,千湖山只发育末次冰期的冰川作用,其差异性说明该地区冰川发育主要受山体构造抬升控制。  相似文献
