In seawater, aside from metal elements and suspended particles, organic substances amount to about 500–2,000 ug carbon/l[8], which is not neglegible in comparison with that of minor metal elements. But in the study of the interaction of the three constituents (metal elements, organics, and suspended particles), the effect of organics in seawater on the surface reaction of metal element—suspended particles has usually been neglected. Recent theoretical research[1, 11] confirmed the importance of the effect of organics in seawater on the surface reaction of metal element—suspended particles. Generally, the effect of organics on the reaction of metal ions, especially Cu(II), on a solid surface is either promotive[2] or inhibitive[7, 9]. So far the fact that organics cannot affect the surface reaction of Cu(II) ions on solids has not been reported in literature. Our experimental results showed that none of the amino acids in seawater affect Cu(II)-goethite ion exchange under certain experimental condition (such as amino acid of lower concentration and lower pH). It was known that the metal ion-organics complex in a liquid competing with solids for metal ions may inhibit the surface reaction of metal ions on solids, but the mechanism of the complex reaction of metal ions competing with solids is not known yet. In fact, the decrease of surface site-exchanging due to the surface reaction of organics on solids is also inhibitive. It is also explained by the ion exchange isotherm of the “amino acid-Cu(II)-geothite” system. This result further demonstrates that the theory of interfacial stepwise ion exchange is applicable to the metal ion exchange isotherm with the presence of organic substances in the system. We investigated the abundance of different picophytoplankton groups and the phytoplankton pigment ratio in relation to environmental factors such as nutrients and suspended solids along a salinity gradient in the Changjiang River Estuary. The average numbers of Synechococcus spp.(Syn) and picoeukaryotes(Euk) were(2.7 ±5.1) ×103 and(1.1±1.4) ×103 cells m L-1, respectively. Prochlorococcus spp.(Pro) was only found in the high-salinity brackish water with the concentration of 3.0×103 cells m L-1. Syn and Euk numbers both tended to increase offshore and Syn showed a larger variation in cell abundance than Euk. The contribution of picophytoplankton to total phytoplankton biomass increased with increasing salinity and decreasing nutrient concentrations from the estuary to the open ocean. The response of different picophytoplankton groups to environmental variables was different. Water temperature was more important in its control over Euk than over Syn, while nutrients were more important in their influence over Syn than over Euk. Phytoplankton pigment ratios were different in the three different ecological zones along the salinity gradient(i.e., freshwater zone with 0-5 range, fresh and saline water mixing zone with 5-20 range, and high-salinity brackish water zone with 20-32 range), where three different phytoplankton communities were discovered, suggesting that phytoplankton pigment ratios can be considered as a complementary indicator of phytoplankton community structure in the Changjiang River Estuary.  相似文献

中国对地观测遥感卫星辐射校正场(即敦煌场)位于中国敦煌市西戈壁沙漠的西北角。整个敦煌场地面比较均匀、平坦,面积为30×40km2;测试区(标定区)面积为400×400m2,位于场区的中心位置。2000年8月底至9月初,中国资源卫星应用中心联合安徽光机所在敦煌场地进行了一次CBERS-1CCD传感器飞行绝对辐射标定试验。地表反射率和大气光学特性地面同步测量结果显示:敦煌场地的地面均匀性好,各个通道反射率的变化系数(即相对变化百分比)均小于3%。在可见光、近红外光谱范围内,地面光谱反射率随波长增加逐步增大,例如,在485nm波长处的地面反射率值约为0.18,在830nm波长处的反射率值约为0.26。大气光学特性测量结果显示:0.55μm波长处的大气总光学厚度(≈0.34)和气溶胶光学厚度(≈0.26)相对较小,大气水汽含量也较小。  相似文献

Steel piles at the tidal zone can be seriously corroded. Common protective methods such as painting or coating with rubber or other protective materials, etc. cannot provide full protection when used as supplementary protection because these traditional methods require strict pretreatment and sealing of the metallic surface from the corrosive mediums, and time for the protective coatings to solidify. This is very difficult under the severe action of waves and surges on the sea. With our oil-soluble DZ-2 tape, protection efficiency for hanging steel plates at the tidal and splash zones reaches to 82–99%. The protection efficiency of water soluble DZ tape at the tidal zone reaches to 92.9%. The DZ and DZ-2 tapes can rapidly reduce the original corrosion velocity to ten percent and one percent respectively as fully proved by the 500 hour rapid corrosion testing with indoor salt fog and by the relevant electrochemical parameters of instantaneous corrosion velocity, etc. DZ tape absorbs much OH to cause a pH rise. A synergistic protective effect is gained when DZ tape is used together with cathodic protection of steel piles at the tidal zone. The working principle of DZ tape is different from that of DZ-2 tape even though they are composed of the same chemical materials. The latter provides protection because of the close affinity between metal and its carboxyl group shields the active centre at the metal surface to reduce the activation energy of metal. The carbon chain forms a covering oil film of netted structure. Dai Tao, Dai Wei and Xia Caiyuan et al. participated in the research and made useful contribution. The Hexi Corridor is an important base of agriculture development in Northwest China. According to recent statistics, there are 65.94×108m3 of water resources available in the Hexi Corridor. At present, net consumption in development and utilization is 43.33×108m3. Water supply and demand reach a balance on the recent level of production, but loss of evaporation and evapotranspiration is as much as 25.69×108m3. So net use efficiency of water resources is 59%. Based on analyzing balance between water and land considering ecological environment at present, there exists the serious water shortage in the Shiyang River system where irrigation lands have overloaded. There is a comparative balance between supply and demand of water resource in the Heihe River system; and the Sule River system has some surplus water to extend irrigation land. Use of agriculture water accounts for 83.3% and ecological forest and grass for 6.9%. The Hexi Corridor still has a great potential for water saving in agriculture production. Water-saving efficiency of irrigation is about 10% by using such traditional technologies as furrow and border-dike irrigation and small check irrigation, and water-saving with plastic film cover and techniques of advanced sprinkler and drip/micro irrigation etc. cansave more than 60% of irrigated water. Incremental irrigation area for water-saving potential in the Hexi Corridor has been estimated as 56% – 197% to original irrigation area. So the second water sources can be developed from water saving agriculture in the Hexi Corridor under Development of the Western Part of China in large scale. This potential can be realized step by step through developing the water-saving measures, improving the ecological condition of oasis agriculture, and optimizing allocation of water resources in three river systems. ^234Th-^238U disequilibria were applied to examine the particle dynamics in the euphotic zone of the central South China Sea during the spring 2002 cruise. The particulate organic carbon (POC), ^234Th (including both dissolved and particulate) and ^238U in the water column at three stations were determined. The profiles of ^234Th/^238U activity ratio at the three stations all showed consistent ^234Th deficit as compared to ^238U in the upper 100 m water column. Based on the profiles of the dissolved and particulate ^234Th and a steady state box model, the dissolved ^234Th scavenging rates, the particulate ^234Th removal rates and their resident times were quantified. It was found that the POC downward export fluxes out of the upper 100 m euphotic zone ranged from 9.40 to 14.78 mmol·m^-2·d^-1. The results from this study provide new information for our understanding of carbon biogeochemical cycle in the South China Sea.  相似文献

In this paper,an updated vegetation map of the permafrost zone in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP) was delineated.The vegetation map model was extracted from vegetation sampling with remote sensing(RS) datasets by decision tree method.The spatial resolution of the map is 1 km×1 km,and in it the alpine swamp meadow is firstly distinguished in the high-altitude areas.The results showed that the total vegetated area in the permafrost zone of the QTP is 1,201,751 km~2.In the vegetated region,50,260 km~2 is the areas of alpine swamp meadow,583,909 km~2 for alpine meadow,332,754 km~2 for alpine steppe,and 234,828 km~2 for alpine desert.This updated vegetation map in permafrost zone of QTP could provide more details about the distribution of alpine vegetation types for studying the vegetation mechanisms in the land surface processes of highaltitude areas.  相似文献

Based on the ultra-shallow water storm surge theory proposed by Qin and Feng[1] (1975), an ultra-shallow water storm surge model, taking into consideration the effect of the earth's rotation and the quadratically depth-varying eddy viscosity, is developed. Using the model wind stress fields as a guide for representing the effect of wind stress forcing in our model, a numerical investigation of the Bohai Sea wind surge is made. As a better means for solving the mathematical model, the Galerkin finite element technique is employed in numerical solutions. Under the control of the main weather situation, namely, the cold wave combined with the extratropical cyclone, two storm surge processes experienced on the Bohai Sea are simulated numerically. Distribution, variation and impact factors of biomass of bacterioplankton from April to May 1999 in Bohai Sea were studied in DAPI method with epifluorescence microscopy. The biomass in surface waters showed a small day-night variation, varying from 0.13 to 2.51μg/dm^3 with an average of 0.84μg/dm^3. The biomass in bottom waters showed, however, a large variation, changing from 0.15 to 4.18μg/dm^3 with an average of 1.36μg/dm^3. The peak values occurred at 5 and 11 a.m. The bottom water biomass showed a significant correlation with particulate organic carbon (r=0.639, P〈0.05). Heterotrophic bacterioplankton biomass was high in nearshore waters and low in offshore areas with a high biomass zone around Huanghe (Yellow) River mouth, showing the same distribution of nutrients. In vertical distribution, heterotrophic bacteria biomass in bottom waters was higher than that in surface water.  相似文献

This study examined the temporal variation of the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and its relationship with climatic factors in the Changbai Mountain Natural Reserve (CMNR) during 2000-2009.The results showed as follows.The average NDVI values increased at a rate of 0.0024 year-1.The increase rate differed with vegetation types,such as 0.0034 year-1 for forest and 0.0017 year-1 for tundra.Trend analyses revealed a consistent NDVI increase at the start and end of the growing season but little variation or decrease observed in July during the study period.The NDVI in CMNR showed a stronger correlation with temperature than with precipitation,especially in spring and autumn.A stronger correlation was observed between NDVI and temperature in the tundra zone (2,000-2,600m) than in the coniferous forest (1,100-1,700m) and Korean pine-broadleaved mixed forest (700-1,100m) zones.The results indicate that vegetation at higher elevations is more sensitive to temperature change.NDVI variation had a strong correlation with temperature change (r=0.7311,p<0.01) but less significant correlation with precipitation change.The result indicates that temperature can serve as a main indicator of vegetation sensitivity in the CMNR.  相似文献

The distributions and relationships of O2, CO2, and dimethylsulfide (DMS) in the Changjiang (Yangtze) Estuary and its adjacent waters were investigated in June 2014. In surface water, mean O2 saturation level, partial pressure of CO2 (pCO2), and DMS concentrations (and ranges) were 110% (89%–167%), 374 μatm (91–640 μatm), and 8.53 nmol L?1 (1.10–27.50 nmol L?1), respectively. The sea-to-air fluxes (and ranges) of DMS and CO2 were 8.24 μmol m?2 d?1 (0.26–62.77 μmol m?2 d?1), and ?4.7 mmol m?2 d?1 (?110.8-31.7 mmol m?2 d?1), respectively. Dissolved O2 was oversaturated, DMS concentrations were relatively high, and this region served as a sink of atmospheric CO2. The pCO2 was significantly and negatively correlated with the O2 saturation level, while the DMS concentration showed different positive relationships with the O2 saturation level in different water masses. In vertical profiles, a hypoxic zone existed below 20 m at a longitude of 123°E. The stratification of temperature and salinity caused by the Taiwan Warm Current suppressed seawater exchange between upper and lower layers, resulting in the formation of a hypoxic zone. Oxidative decomposition of organic detritus carried by the Changjiang River Diluted Water (CRDW) consumed abundant O2 and produced additional CO2. The DMS concentrations decreased because of low phytoplankton biomass in the hypoxic zone. Strong correlations appeared between the O2 saturation level, pCO2 and DMS concentrations in vertical profiles. The sea fluxes of trace metals, POC, and settled material were studied in anoxic seawater, Saanich Inlet, B. C., Canada with sediment traps. This paper discusses the change of mass fluxes of sediment, trace metals and POC for various seasons and depths. The annual mean of settled material is 1.56 g.m−2.a−1, 84.6 mg. m−2.a−1 for POC, 60.0 mg. m−2.a−1 for Cu, 16.5 mg.m−2.a−1 for Pb, 189 mg.m−2.a−1 for Zn, 2.20 mg.m−2.a−1 for Cd, 699 mg.m−2.a−1 for Fe, 38.8 mg.m−2.a−1 for Co, and 84.6 mg.m−2.a−1 for Ni. The relations between the average fluxes of trace metals and POC, the fluxes of trace metals and settled matter, and the sea fluxes of trace metals and Fe are in linear progression. The resident times of elements as calculated from sea flux, are 1.1 a. for Cu, 0.014 a. for Pb, 0.50 a. for Zn, 3.8 a. for Cd, 0.16 a. for Fe, 0.39 a. for Co, and 1.14 a. for Ni. The order of resident times is as follows: Pb−Fe−Co−Zn−Cu−Ni−Cd. The metal resident times in Saanich Inlet are shorter than the values estimated for the open ocean. It illustrates that the biochemical processes in shallow Saanich Inlet are faster than those in the open ocean, and that debries of plankton and fecal pellets of zooplankton play an important role in vertical transport of organic carbons. Activities of the respiratory electron transport system (ETS), C uptake, chlorophyll and temperature were determined at a station in the center of Donghu Lake. Seasonal, fluctuations in ETS-activities ranged from 100 to 460μg O2 h-1.L-1. Production: respiration ratio (P/R) calculated from C uptake and ETS-activity, ranged from 0.2 to 6.8. The test on cultured algae ETS-activity revealed marked differences in different growth phases. ETS activity is suggested as an indicator of lake nutrient status.  相似文献

The Lamuajue landslide is located in Lamuajue village on the right bank of the Meigu River,Sichuan Province, China. This landslide is an ancient landslide with an extremely wide distribution area,covering an area of 19 km~2 with a maximum width of5.5 km and an estimated residual volume of 3×10~8 m~3.The objectives of this study were to identify the characteristics and failure mechanism of this landslide. In this study,based on field investigations,aerial photography, and profile surveys, the boundary,lithology, structure of the strata, and characteristics of the landslide deposits were determined. A gently angled weak interlayer consisting of shale was the main factor contributing to the occurrence of the Lamuajue landslide. The deposition area can be divided into three zones: zone A is an avalanche deposition area mainly composed of blocks,fragments, and debris with diameters ranging from0.1 m to 3 m; zone B is a residual integrated rock mass deposition area with large blocks,boulders and "fake bedrock"; and zone C is a deposition zone of limestone blocks and fragments. Three types of failure mechanism were analyzed and combined to explain the Lamuajue landslide based on the features of the accumulation area. First, a shattering-sliding mechanism caused by earthquakes in zone A. Second,a sliding mechanism along the weak intercalation caused by gravity and water in zone B. Third,a shattering-ejection mechanism generated by earthquakes in zone C. The results provide a distinctive case for the study of gigantic landslides induced by earthquakes, which is very important for understanding and assessing ancient earthquakeinduced landslides.  相似文献

Fifty-one tree leaves were sampled in the industrial area,residential area,and Fenhe River ecological zone,for the purpose of a magnetic study on atmospheric pollution in Linfen City,Shanxi Province,China.Measurements of mass-specific magnetic susceptibility(χ) show a significant variation range(from 11.6 × 10-8 m3/kg to 129.7 × 10-8 m3/kg).Overall values of magnetic susceptibility decline in the following sequence:industrial area > residential area > Fenhe River ecological zone.The relatively elevated concentration-related magnetic parameters(saturation isothermal remanent magnetization,anhysteretic remanent magnetization and magnetic susceptibility) appear in the industrial area,with their highest values in the vicinity of Linfen Steel Mill.Magnetic particles are dominated by multidomain,magnetite-like minerals.Magnetic particle concentration and grain size both decrease with the increasing distance from industrial area,indicating the industrial area,especially Linfen Steel Mill,is the main source of atmospheric particle pollution.Residential area and Fenhe River ecological zone are also affected by industrial emission to a certain extent.The results of this study indicate that magnetic measurements of tree leaves are practicable for monitoring and determination of atmospheric pollution in Linfen City.  相似文献

A catastrophic landslide occurred at Xinmo village in Maoxian County, Sichuan Province,China, on June 24, 2017. A 2.87×106 m3 rock mass collapsed and entrained the surface soil layer along the landslide path. Eighty-three people were killed or went missing and more than 103 houses were destroyed. In this paper, the geological conditions of the landslide are analyzed via field investigation and high-resolution imagery. The dynamic process and runout characteristics of the landslide are numerically analyzed using a depth-integrated continuum method and Mac Cormack-TVD finite difference algorithm.Computational results show that the evaluated area of the danger zone matchs well with the results of field investigation. It is worth noting that soil sprayed by the high-speed blast needs to be taken into account for such kind of large high-locality landslide. The maximum velocity is about 55 m/s, which is consistent with most cases. In addition, the potential danger zone of an unstable block is evaluated. The potential risk area evaluated by the efficient depthintegrated continuum method could play a significant role in disaster prevention and secondary hazard avoidance during rescue operations.  相似文献

This paper deals with the bioconcentration of14C-simetryne from water by aquatic test organisms: green algae—Monoraphidium minutum, rotifers—Brachionus rubens, daphnids—Daphnia magna, and fish—Brachydanio rerio. The chemical was bioconcentrated rapidly in all test species during the first 48 hours of experiment. The BCF values (bioconcentration factor) from all uptake studies show that simetryne has higher accumulation in algae than in rotifers, daphnids and zebra fish. The logarithm of the n-octanol/water partition coefficient of simetryne measured as 2.06±0.05 was correlated with the BCFs in the organisms as based on the lipid contents. 14C-simetryne uptake via the food-chain amounted to only 22% to 42% of the bioconcentration from water. Clearance of14C-derived residues from fish was rapid with a half-life of 2.1 days.
