The spatial distribution of O-type stars projected onto the Per OB1 association has been investigated. From the limited data available we find evidence to suggest that there are several distinct clusters of early type stars in the association's line of sight. It is found that all those stars identified in the past as being blue stragglers are likely situated in the most distant cluster and consequently they are unlikely to be coevally related to the closer stellar groups. Our argument is that all those stars previously classified as blue stragglers in Per OB1 are normal O and OBN stars.  相似文献

The forthcoming data expected from space missions such as CoRoT require the capacity of the available tools to provide accurate models whose numerical precision is well above the expected observational errors. In order to secure that these tools meet the specifications, a team has been established to test and, when necessary, to improve the codes available in the community. The CoRoT Evolution and Seismic Tool Activity (ESTA) has been set up with this mission. Several groups have been involved. The present paper describes the motivation and the organisation of this activity, providing the context and the basis for the presentation of the results that have been achieved so far. This is not a finished task as future even better data will continue to demand more precise and complete tools for asteroseismology.  相似文献

This paper is the third in our series of papers devoted to the investigation of X-ray emission from OB stars.In our two previous papers,we study the high-resolution X-ray spectra of 32 O stars and 25 B stars to investigate the correlations between the properties of X-ray emission and stellar parameters.We checked if the X-ray hardness and post-shock plasma temperature grow with increasing stellar magnetic field,mass loss rate and terminal wind velocity.Our previous analysis of high-resolution spectra showed that the correlations are weak or even absent.In the present paper,we analyzed low-resolution X-ray spectra,using model-independent X-ray hardness values for checking the above mentioned dependencies.We establish that X-ray luminosities L_X weakly depend on the stellar magnetic field.At the same time,Lx ∝ M~(0.5) and L_X ∝ E_(kin)~(0.5),where M is the mass loss rate and E_(kin) is the kinetic energy of the wind.The X-ray luminosities decrease with growing magnetic confinement parameter η.We also argue that there is an additional(probably non-thermal) component contributed to the stellar X-ray emission.  相似文献

对恒星形成活跃区NGC1333周围5°×5°区域进行了物端稜镜发射线星巡天观测,此次观测到的H_a发射线星的极限星等约为16.7星等。在此范围內观测到了25颗H_a发射线星(包括11颗已被发现过的L_kH_a星)。这些星在[(G-U),(R-G)]图上的分布与主星序星完全不同。从两色图和暗星云中的空间分布推测,这些发射线星可能大部是金牛座T Tau型星。最后简单讨论了恒星形成区的环境条件。  相似文献

对恒星形成区CepOB4的IRAS观测结果的详细分析和研究表明,与年轻星团Be59相联系的分子云物质的原始分布是高度成块的。Be59诞生于一个平均密度为100─200cm(-3)云的背向太阳一侧。强烈的电离辐射以及星风已经在其诞生地产生了一个半径大约为5pc的"水泡型(Blister)"电离氢区及与之相关的红外源。电离辐射也穿过云际介质到达与母云分离的另两个云的表面,形成了从侧面看到的电离波前及被压缩和加热的中性物质壳。在这个恒星形成区中,虽然有大量年轻恒星存在,但大质量恒星的形成已经停止。红外发射主要起源于标准尘埃粒子的热平衡发射。但在主激发星团Be59附近的HII区中25μm发射的显著增强可能与某种与电离气体相混合的新型尘埃粒子有关。  相似文献

H emission objects were searched for, using the objective-prismSchmidt plates in a 36 deg2 sky area covering the Cepheus OB3 association.Hundred and eight emission stars have been found, 68 of which are newfindings to our knowledge. The properties of the IRAS point sourcesidentified with H emission stars indicate that most of theH emission stars are T Tauri stars or related objects. Hemission stars associated with IRAS sources and those unassociated havedifferent distributions, suggesting an age sequence among them.Altogether, they show a ring- or shell-like surface distribution, whichalmost coincides with that of heated dusts, and these distributionsappear to be encompassed by an HI shell.  相似文献

We have investigated the relation between the orbital period Porb and the spin period Ps of neutron stars in OB/X-ray binaries. By simulating the time-development of the mass loss rate and radius expansion of a 20A⊙ donor star, we have calculated the detailed spin evolution of the neutron star before steady wind accretion occurs (that is, when the break spin period is reached), or when the OB star begins evolving off the main sequence or has filled its Roche lobe. Our results are compatible with the observations of OB/X-ray binaries. We find that in relatively narrow systems with orbital periods less than tens of days, neutron stars with initial magnetic field B0 stronger than about 3×1012 G can reach the break spin period to allow steady wind accretion in the main sequence time, whereas neutron stars with B0 < 3×1012 G and/or in wide systems would still be in one of the pulsar, rapid rotator or propeller phases when the companion evolves off the main sequence or fills its Roche lobe. EC?11481–2303 is a peculiar, hot, high-gravity pre-white dwarf. Previous optical spectroscopy revealed that it is a sdOB star with T eff=41?790 K, log?g=5.84, and He/H = 0.014 by number. We present an on-going spectral analysis by means of non-LTE model-atmosphere techniques based on high-resolution, high-S/N optical (VLT-UVES) and ultraviolet (FUSE, IUE) observations.We are able to reproduce the optical and UV observations simultaneously with a chemically homogeneous NLTE model atmosphere with a significantly higher effective temperature and lower He abundance (T eff=55?000 K, log?g=5.8, and He/H=0.0025 by number). While C, N, and O appear less than 0.15 times solar, the iron-group abundance is strongly enhanced by at least a factor of ten.  相似文献

Preliminary results from a search for emission stars in the neighborhood of Cyg OB7 are reported. A new region of size 14×14 arc min lies 12 arc min to the south of HH 448. 17 new objects have been found, of which one is related to a nebula with an interesting shape and, apparently, the characteristics of a cometary nebula. Inside the nebula there are 4 faint, compact formations with very high proper motions. The spectrum of a star shows that it is of spectral class K9-M0 and is a T Tau type star at a distance of 220 pc. Most of the discovered stars with a strong or intermediate Ha emission line intensity are presumably also T Tau stars. This region appears to be a continuation of the T association around HH 448.  相似文献

A survey for emission line stars was carried out in 1980 with the Schmidt telescope of Konkoly Observatory in the region of IC 1396 (Kun, 1986a, hereafter referred to as Paper I). This work was aimed at a preliminary mapping of the probable medium mass members of the association Cepheus OB 2. The stars of the region have been followed since then with the same telescope in order to obtain a more complete view on the stellar content of this giant star-forming region. The common variability of the H emission strength makes the sense of repeating such surveys. The new survey resulted in the discovery of 65 further emission stars. Equatorial coordinates and finding charts are given for them.PhotographicBVRI photometry was carried out for all known emission stars of the field. The colourmagnitude and two-colour diagrams derived from theB, V, R, andI magnitudes show that these stars are probably F-G-type (1.5M <M<3M ), partly pre-Main-Sequence members of Cep OB 2, whereas a few of them may be distant red giants.The youngest objects of the region can be found among the IRAS point sources. Their properties are discussed on the basis of IRAS data alone.  相似文献

We present results of a high resolution study of the filamentary infrared dark cloud G192.76+00.10 in the S254-S258 OB complex in several molecular species tracing different physical conditions. These include three isotopologues of carbon monoxide(CO), ammonia(NH3) and carbon monosulfide(CS). The aim of this work is to study the general structure and kinematics of the filamentary cloud, and its fragmentation and physical parameters. The gas temperature is derived from the NH3(J, K) =(1,1),(2, 2) and ~(12)CO(2-1) lines, and the ~(13)CO(1-0), ~(13)CO(2-1) emission is used to investigate the overall gas distribution and kinematics. Several dense clumps are identified from the CS(2-1)data. Values of the gas temperature lie in the range 10-35 K, and column density N(H2) reaches the value 5.1 x 10~(22) cm~(-2). The width of the filament is of order 1 pc. The masses of the dense clumps range from ~ 30 M_☉ to ~ 160 M_☉. They appear to be gravitationally unstable. The molecular emission shows a gas dynamical coherence along the filament. The velocity pattern may indicate longitudinal collapse.  相似文献

The paper presents results of optical observations and analysis of dynamics of effects on the earth’s lower atmosphere of the partial solar eclipse (of magnitude 42%) of August 1, 2008, near Kharkov. This is compared with the effects induced by the partial solar eclipses on August 11, 1999, and October 3, 2005. All three eclipses occurred around midday. The standard deviation of the solar-limb displacement σ S during the eclipses on October 3, 2005, August 1, 2008, and August 11, 1999, was established to decrease by 0.13, 0.30, and 0.68″ at the maximum of the solar obscuration function 0.13, 0.31, and 0.73, respectively, so that the temperature drop in the earth’s lower atmosphere t a was 1.3, 2.0, and 7.3 K. The time lags of decreases of σ S and t a was found to be 15 and 5 minutes.  相似文献

This paper reports on the results of a study of S59 ultraviolet spectral scans of the spectroscopic binaries Persei, 1 Scorpii and 2 Velorum. In the case of 1 Sco it was found that the Mgii doublet at 2800 Å undergoes intensity variations that may be indicative of variable emission in the photographic spectrum. The continuum in the 2490–2590 Å range deviates from the continuum of the comparison stars. This paper uses Guillaume's extension of the Breakwell-Perko matching theory for the restricted three-body problem with small mass ratio >0 to establish the existence and asymptotic approximation of one-parameter families of second species periodic solutions with one near-moon passage of , during a half-period.
