1986年“旅行者2号”飞越天于星期间,由空间无线电和光学观测获得的卫星资料首次给出天王星5颗主要卫星质量的可靠估计,从而推动了现代天王星卫星运动定量理论的建立。Laskar于1986年建立了第一个相对完整的天王星主要卫星的(半)分析理论——GUST86,其高精度已被许多学者的实算证实。之后,对理论的改进作出贡献的学者有:Malhotra等人(1989)、Lazzaro等人(1987,1991)分析研究了天王星卫星系统中近共振项对长期摄动解的影响;Taylor(1998)采用数值积分拟合观测资料,以更精确地测定卫星质量;Christou和Murray(1997)则将一个2阶Laplace—Lagrange理论应用于天王星卫星系统。对这些学者的工作作一概述。  相似文献

目前已发现了285颗围绕太阳系八大行星公转的卫星, 它们的轨道和物理性质呈现了丰富多样性. 目前为止, 几乎所有的卫星研究工作都基于单个卫星系统或者卫星群, 似乎缺少统一的研究. 提出了一个新的与行星性质无关、只与恒星半径有关的轨道参数n, 定义为以太阳半径为单位的轨道半长轴的自然对数. 不同行星的卫星的n值都存在双极分布, 绝大部分卫星在$n\gtrsim2$区间, 其次在$n\lesssim-1$区间, 位于中间区域的行星则很少. 从卫星物理参数和轨道参数与n的关系中发现, 分属六大行星的卫星有明显的共同特征. 首先, 轨道偏心率和轨道倾角偏大的卫星的n值都在3.5左右, 它们都是巨行星的不规则卫星. 其次, n值在-1和1之间的卫星绝大部分体积大、质量大、反照率高、自转速度慢. 从文献中找到11颗系外卫星候选体, 获得了它们轨道n值和卫星质量, 发现后者也是在-1< n< 1区间最大,其他区间偏小.这些统一的 规律暗示,太阳系内不同行星的卫星形成机制以及太阳系外卫星的形成机制可能一样或类似.  相似文献

The study of the motions of the stars that belong to a galactic satellite (i.e. a globular cluster or a dwarf galaxy orbiting a larger one) has some similarities, as well as significant differences, with that of the restricted three-body problem of celestial mechanics. The high percentage of chaotic orbits present in some models is of particular interest because it rises, on the one hand, the question of the origin of those chaotic motions and, on the other hand, the question of whether an equilibrium stellar system can be built when the bulk of the stars that make it up behave chaotically.  相似文献

A development of an analytical solution for the motion of an artificial Earth satellite subject to the combined effects of Earth gravity and air drag is presented. The atmospheric model takes into account a linear variation of the density scale height with altitude, the rotation and the oblateness of the atmosphere. The perturbation theory is based upon Lie transforms. The secular and long-periodic terms as well as the short-periodic effects are included in the theory which is valid for small to moderate eccentricities and for all values of the inclination.Belgian National Fund for Scientific Research  相似文献

利用新发表的高精度、高密度天体测量星表UCAC2,对天王星的五颗主要卫星的CCD观测图像重新进行量测,采用不同方法作定标归算,并使用两种理论模型(GUST86和GUST06模型)计算卫星的理论位置。对不同方法所得到的卫星位置的O-C结果的分析和比较表明,本文获得的卫星位置精度,除天卫五(Miranda)有显著提高,其他4颗卫星的位置精度基本相同。本文中天卫一和天卫三的结果与"亮卫星定标法"的结果在精度上相当,天卫二的位置精度与其他天王星卫星的位置精度具有较好的一致性,这从另一方面证明了我们的"亮卫星定标法"的可靠性。此外我们还获得了天卫四的位置与精度。  相似文献

给出了轨道面接近赤道面的轨旋同步卫星的正常重力场在等势面上分布的展开式,并讨论了潮汐对其正常重力场的影响,利用这一方法,讨论了伽利略卫星正常重力场及其在等势面上的分布,以及木星的潮汐对伽利略卫星的正常重力场的影响,计算表明,潮汐对伽利略卫星的正常重力场影响不大,其径向的影响grt大约是10^-3-10^-5m/s^2的量级,与重力场在经度和纬度方向的分量接近,通过估算,月球的重力场所受到的潮汐影响要比绝大多数伽利略卫星受到的潮汐影响小。  相似文献

We present the results of photometric observations of Saturn's seventh satellite Hyperion and four other planetary satellites: Saturn's moon Phoebe and three Jovian satellites Himalia, Elara, and Pasiphae. The observations have been conducted from September, 1999 to March, 2000, and during September–October, 2000. Analysis of periodic variations in Hyperion's lightcurve was performed. The lightcurve was modeled using the software package developed for calculating the rotational dynamics of a satellite. Our data generally indicate that over the period of observations Hyperion was in the chaotic mode of rotation.  相似文献

The paper presents an efficient algorithm for the study of satellite and space debris orbits on long time intervals. The averaged equations of motion are integrated by means of the implicit midpoint method. This approach is known as a symplectic mapping technique. The perturbing forces included in the mapping are: the geopotential, the atmospheric drag, lunisolar perturbations and the direct radiation pressure (without shadow effects). The influence of the atmosphere is approximated by simple methods for the estimation of integrals. The described mapping is valid for the wide range of orbits including the resonant and the eccentric ones; it can be helpful in practical and theoretical problems. The lifetime of GPS transfer orbits is discussed as an exemplary application.  相似文献

Surface features of some icy satellites indicate that the satellites are modified due to the internally driven tectonic activity. Convection could be one of the processes responsible for the formation of the surface features. The potential sources of energy inside the satellites are discussed. For the medium sized icy satellites the radiogenic and tidal heat sources seem to be of primary importance. To investigate the problem, a 3D model of convection is developed based on the Navier–Stokes equation, the equation of thermal conductivity, the equation of continuity, and the equation of state. The model includes both the tidal and the radiogenic heating. It can be applied to the homogeneous, non-differentiated medium sized satellites. The 3D formulae for tidal heat generation and stress tensor based on the results of Peale and Cassen (1978) and others are applied. A new dimensionless number C t is introduced. It measures the relative importance of tidal and radiogenic heat sources. The systematic investigation of the steady-state convection is performed for different values of the Rayleigh number and for 0C t 1. The results indicate that the convection pattern for low Rayleigh number driven by tidal heating in the medium sized icy satellites consists of two cells. The pattern of tidally driven convection is oriented, that is, the regions of downward motion are situated at the center of the near- and of the far-side of the satellite.  相似文献

We present a semi-analytical theory of the rotation of Europa the Galilean satellite of Jupiter. The theory is semi-analytical in the sense that it is based on a synthetic theory of the orbit of Europa developed by Lainey. The theory is developed in the framework of Hamiltonian mechanics, using Andoyer variables and assumes that Europa is a rigid body. We consider this theory as a first step toward the modelization of a non rigid Europa covered by an ocean.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the reduction of the equations of motion for non-planar perturbed two body problems into linear form. It is seen that this can be easily accomplished for any element of the class of radial intermediaries to the satellite problem proposed by Deprit in 1981, since they have a functional dependence suitable for linearization. The transformation is worked out by using an adequate set of redundant variables. Four harmonic oscillators are obtained, of which two are coupled through gyroscopic terms. Their constant frequencies contain the secular contribution of the main problem of artificial satellite theory up to the order of the considered intermediary. Therefore, this result may well be interesting in relation to the study and prediction of accurate long-term solutions to satellite problems.  相似文献

Tidal interactions between Planet and its satellites are known to be the main phenomena, which are determining the orbital evolution of the satellites. The modern ansatz in the theory of tidal dissipation in Saturn was developed previously by the international team of scientists from various countries in the field of celestial mechanics. Our applying to the theory of tidal dissipation concerns the investigating of the system of ODE-equations (ordinary differential equations) that govern the orbital evolution of the satellites; such an extremely non-linear system of 2 ordinary differential equations describes the mutual internal dynamics for the eccentricity of the orbit along with involving the semi-major axis of the proper satellite into such a monstrous equations. In our derivation, we have presented the elegant analytical solutions to the system above; so, the motivation of our ansatz is to transform the previously presented system of equations to the convenient form, in which the minimum of numerical calculations are required to obtain the final solutions. Preferably, it should be the analytical solutions; we have presented the solution as a set of quasi-periodic cycles via re-inversing of the proper ultra-elliptical integral. It means a quasi-periodic character of the evolution of the eccentricity, of the semi-major axis for the satellite orbit as well as of the quasi-periodic character of the tidal dissipation in the Planet.  相似文献

We derive general results on the existence of stationary configurations for N co-orbital satellites with small but otherwise arbitrary masses m i , revolving on circular and planar orbits around a massive primary. The existence of stationary configurations depends on the parity of N. If N is odd, then for any arbitrary angular separation between the satellites, there always exists a set of masses (positive or negative) which achieves stationarity. However, physically acceptable solutions (m i > 0 for all i) restrict this existence to sub-domains of angular separations. If N is even, then for given angular separations of the satellites, there is in general no set of masses which achieves stationarity. The case N=3 is treated completely for small arbitrary satellite masses, giving all the possible solutions and their stability, to within our approximations.  相似文献

The force due to radiation pressure on a satellite of arbitrary shape is written in a general form within a formalism similar to that used in the theory of radiative transfer in atmospheres. Then the corresponding integrals are evaluated for the simple case of a spherically symmetric satellite, and applied to model the perturbation due to the Earth-reflected radiation flux on LAGEOS. For this purpose, the optical behaviour of the Earth's surface and atmosphere is described as a combination of Lambertian diffusion (continents), partial specular reflection consistent with Fresnel law (oceans) and anisotropic diffusion according to Chandrasekhar's radiative transfer theory (clouds). The in-plane Gauss componentsT andS vs. mean anomaly are computed for a simple orbital geometry and for different models of the Earth's optical properties. We propose a new analytical theory to explain the physical cause of the asymmetric reflectivity effect observed for the LAGEOS satellites. To achieve this result we have modelled the reflection of the Sun visible light from the four germanium Cube-Corner-Retroreflectors of these satellites. The position of the Cube-Corner-Retroreflectors play a crucial role in defining the characteristics of the effect and its impact in the satellites orbit. With this new approach we have been able to reproduce the temporal variation of the asymmetric reflectivity effect acceleration for LAGEOS, and to determine the main characteristic of the effect in the case of LAGEOS II. When considering the orbital elements, we have been able to reproduce the time evolution of LAGEOS eccentricity vector excitations and perigee rate. In the case of LAGEOS II, the asymmetric reflectivity effect need to be modelled with an analytical expression different from that previously introduced for LAGEOS.This revised version was published online in October 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

After the discovery of a huge number of satellites around Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus, it is necessary to collect together information about all of the planetary satellite systems and to define the possible classification of objects and types of their motion. We give physical parameters of the satellites: their masses, sizes, apparent magnitudes in opposition, and geometrical albedos. We present some of the orbital quantities that characterize the orbits, their shapes and orientation in space, as well as data on the rotation of satellites. The emphasis is on the peculiarities of their motion—the forces acting on them, the main orbital perturbations, and the influence of commensurabilities in the mean motions of satellites.
