The paper is devoted to the actual problematics in the determination of orbital and physical parameters of active CB on the basis of the interpretation of photometric observations. One solves the problem in two stages: by obtaining a synthetic light curve in the case when the parameters of the corresponding CB model (Djuraevi, 1992a) are given a priori (direct problem) and by determining the parameters of the given model for which the best fit between the synthetic light curve and the observations is achieved (inverse problem) (Djuraevi, 1992b). In this paper, the above procedure is applied to a particular case of an interpretation of CB light curves WZ Cep and FT Lupi.  相似文献

The author considers the current problematics in the determination of the orbital and physical parameters for active close binaries (CB) of W Ser type based on the interpretation of photometric observations. In the particular case one analyses the light curves of CB RX Cas in the framework of the accretion-disc model explained in the second paper of this series (Djuraevi, 1992a). The change of the light curves with that of the system's physical-activity phase is analysed and the orbital and physical parameters of the system are determined for the maximum, minimum and the transition regime of the physical activity by applying the inverse-problem method described in the third paper of the series (Djuraevi, 1992b). In the paper a graphical illustration of the solutions obtained is also given.  相似文献

In order to enable a successful application of the realised CB models (presented in the two former articles of the series) in the analysis of the observed light curves, an efficient method unifying the best properties of the gradient method and of the differential-corrections one into a single algorithm (Djuraevi, 1991) is proposed. This method is realised by modifying the Marquardt (1963) algorithm. The inverse problem is solved in an iterative cycle of corrections to the model elements based on a nonlinear least-square method.The interpretation of photometric observations is based on the choice of optimal model parameters yielding the best agreement between an observed light curve and the corresponding synthetic one. Some of these parameters can be determineda priori in an independent way, while the others are found by solving the inverse problem.The programmes for analysing light curves find the optimal system parameters rapidly, reliably and correctly. The corresponding programme support enables an evident graphic presentation of the results.  相似文献

For the purpose of analysing light curves of active CB with an accretion disc being at the evolutional phase of an intensive matter exchange between the components a model for light-curve synthesis has been realized where the attention is given to systems like W Ser not sufficiently examined yet with regard that in them the accretion disc is formed around an ordinary star. In the paper one uses the elements presented in the first paper of this series. The model can successfully describe the essential characteristics of the observed light curves due to existence of an accretion disc and a hot spot, as well as those originated in the temperature distribution along the disc radius. The system components are considered in the framework of the nonsynchronous Roche model and the accretion disc of a constant thickness lies in the orbital plane around the star capturing the matter of the neighbouring component.The primary surrounded by the disc is situated relatively well within the Roche oval and its rotation can be significantly nonsynchronous. Near the Lagrange equilibrium pointL 1 flows from the secondary (which fills the Roche limit) the gas stream nourishing the disc. In the zone where the stream touches the lateral side of the disc a hot spot is formed.The proposed model enables estimating of the basic orbital and physical parameters of active type W Ser CB (Djuraevi, 1991) on the basis of photometric measurements by applying the inverse-problem method.  相似文献

The paper is concerning with the light curve analysis of an active binary system of OO Aql. Basic orbital and physical parameters of this system were estimated by analysing photometric observations by Lafta and Grainger (1985) and Essam et al. (1992). Both groups of observations gave quite different light curves with a conspicuous asymmetry arising from unequal height of successive maxima. A slightly changed programme by Djuraevi (1992a) was applied. The programme was based on the Roche model and it included an option of overcontact configuration and active (bright or dark) spotted regions on the system's components. An inverse-problem method by Djuraevi (1992b) was used to estimate the parameters of the system and active regions. The light-curve analysis suggested a significant change in the system. For Lafta and Grainger's light curves our analysis showed the presence of a dark spotted area near the polar region of the primary component. This dark area covered about 22% of the primary's hemisphere. Essam et al.'s light curves had very complex shape. In this case the mechanism of the mass transfer and the exchange of the thermal energy between the components could produce a bright-spot (bs) area on the secondary, near the Lagrange equilibrium point L1 around the neck region between the stars. To explain a sharp increase of the system's brightness in the B filter immediately after the secondary minimum, we had to introduce also a hot-spot (hs) area of a high temperature contrast on the secondary. With the increase of the brightness in the V-filter being of much lower intensity, this hot spot region could be taken as a local eruption. The behaviour of the B–V colour index with the orbital phase is in favour of this hypothesis also. The obtained results show that the light-curve changes are due to development and moving of active spot regions on the components.  相似文献

The structure of rotating magnetic polytropes is considered in Roche approximation. Investigation of the influence of poloidal as well as toroidal magnetic fields on the conditions of the beginning of matter outflow due to rotational instability is carried out. The influence of the turbulent convection and twisting of magnetic force-lines on the time of smoothing of differential rotation is considered. The estimate of the magneto-turbulence energy generated by differential rotation is presented. Both maximum possible energy output and duration of the quasi-statical evolution phase up to the appearance of hydrodynamic instability due to the effects of general relativity are calculated for supermassive magnetic polytropes of index three with uniform or differential rotation. The radius-mass relation is obtained for supermassive differentially-rotating magnetic polytropes referring to the longest part of the quasi-statistical evolution stage; some consequences are pointed out, including the period-luminosity relation.The evolution of the considered models of supermassive rotating magnetic polytropes with different character of rotation and different geometry of a magnetic field is discussed.The results obtained are summarized in the last section.

Stability of the librational triangular points of the three-dimensional elliptic restricted three-body problem is studied. The problem is solved in the non-linear statement at the small values of eccentricity.For all values ofe, , besides ones which correspond to the resonances of the third and the fourth order the librational points are stable taking into account the terms up to the fourth order in the normal form of the Hamiltonian function of the perturbed motion.At sufficiently smalle and the non-stability in sense of Liapunov has been proved. The approximate equations of the boundary of the stability area in the planee, has been obtained. The cause of the non-stability is an equality of the rotational period of the principal attracting masses in the elliptic orbit and the period of oscillation of indefinitely small mass along the direction perpendicular to the plane of their motion.

The differential equations of the self-rotation of a celestial body have been evaluated. From an integral of these equations a formula for angular velocity of the celestial body was obtained. This formula after being applied to the rotation of the Sun and of the Earth gives, respectively, the following angular velocity ranges: 0.588×10–6<<18, 187×10–6 and 0.7533×10–5<<12,4266×10–5. These are up to three times narrower than those previously obtained by Savi and Kaanin [1].  相似文献

We discuss imaging with arrays in the thermal IR. Aspects of the design and performance of the Golden Gopher, an infrared array camera are presented. This instrument operates in a high-background environment, for ground-based astronomical imaging from 5 to 27 m. It is built around a 20×64 element Si:As Impurity Band Conduction (IBC) device manufactured by GenCorp Aerojet Electronic Systems Division, and has a noise-equivalent flux density (NEFD) of 23.5mJy min -1/2 arcsec-2 at =10m, =1m, on the Mt. Lemmon 1.5m telescope. We present and discuss a sample of the data. In addition we discuss the design and expected performance of the Long Wavelength Spectrometer which is now under construction for the Keck telescope.  相似文献

The problem of stability of the equilibrium points (the libration points) in the problem of motion of a mass point in the neighbourhood of a rotating triaxial ellipsoid is investigated in the strict sense.In the plane of parameters, depending on the form and dynamical characteristics of the ellipsoids, the regions of stability and instability of the libration points are obtained.It is shown that the libration points of the ellipsoids, the form and dynamical characteristics of which are close to the planets of the solar system, are stable.

Geomagnetic crochets (sfe) observed at Kodaikanal over the period 1966–71 have been studied in relation to solar X-ray bursts observed by NRL satellite (SOLRAD-9) in the 0.5–3 Å, 1–8 Å and 8–20 Å bands and radio bursts observed in the frequency range 1000–17000 MHz. The amplitude of sfe is linearly correlated with the peak intensities of X-ray bursts in the 1–8 Å and 8–20 Å bands. The single frequency correlation of sfe with radio bursts is a flat maximum in the frequency range 2000–3750 MHz. Following the spectral classification of AFCRL for microwave bursts, it is noticed that sfe are mostly associated with the A type burst spectra and are very poorly correlated with bursts with the G, C and M type spectra. These features differ from those of other SID's reported earlier.  相似文献

Evolutionary tracks of 0.9M , 0.7M and 0.6M models for Population II stars have been computed in the post-red giant phase. The stars are initially composed of a helium core containing a mass fraction equal to 0.9 and of a hydrogen-rich envelope. We present an improved version of the method of photometric mode identification based upon the inclusion of non-adiabatic eigenfunctions determined in the stellar atmosphere, according to the formalism recently proposed by Dupret et al. (2002).We apply our method to Cephei, Slowly Pulsating B, Scuti and Doradus stars. Besides identifying the degree of the pulsatingstars, our method is also a tool for improving the knowledge of stellar interiors and atmospheres, by imposing constraints on the metallicity for Cephei and SPBs, the characteristics of the superficial convection zone for Scuti and Doradus starsand the limb-darkening law.  相似文献

An exact solution of Einstein's equation is stated in which the density (), pressure (p), scale factorS and metric coefficients are functions of only one dimensionless self-similar variable,ct/R, wheret is cosmic time andR is a co-moving radial coordinate. The solution represents a cosmology that begins as a static sphere having R –2 and evolves into an expanding model which is pressure-free and has a hierarchical type of density law ( R , approximately, with =a number, 02). It is suggested that this model should supersede the previous models of Wesson and other workers, since it appears to be the simplest cosmology for a hierarchy.  相似文献
