The disease resistance and humoral immunomodulatory effects of vitamin C administered orally to grouper,Epinephelus awoara maintained on a frozen fish diet supplemented with vitamin C at 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 mg/kg were investigated. After 20 weeks, the growth rates of the groups with high level of vitamin C apparently increased. The untreated fish had symptoms of vitamin C deficiency. The endogenous liver tissue vitamin C levels were found to reflect well the dietary treatments. After intraperitoneal injection or bath challenge with a virulent strain ofVibrio vulnificus, fish fed with high level vitamin C showed significantly higher survival rate compared with the normal control group. Vaccination with formalin inactivatedV. vulnificus significantly enhanced the specific antibody production in fish treated with vitamin C, and completely protected from strong bacterial challenge the groups fed on fish with vitamin C 1500 and 2000 mg/kg diet. Oyster peptides were produced from Crassostrea hongkongensis and used as a new protein source for the preparation of an oyster peptide-based enteral nutrition formula (OPENF). Reserpine-induced malabsorption mice and cyclophosphamide-induced immunosuppression mice were used in this study. OPENF powder is light yellow green and has a protein-fat-carbohydrate ratio of 16:9:75 with good solubility in water. A pilot study investigating immune functional impacts of the OPENF on mice show that the OPENF enhanced spleen lymphocyte proliferation and the activity of natural killer (NK) cells in BALB/c mice. Furthermore, OPENF can improve intestinal absorption, increase food utilization ratio, and maintain the normal physiological function of mice. These results suggest that oyster peptides could serve as a new protein source for use in enteral nutrition formula, but more importantly, also indicate that OPENF has an immunostimulating effect in mice.  相似文献

活性多糖是一种免疫增强剂,它能增强水产动物的非特异性免疫功能,提高机体抗病能力,而且具有无药物残留、无污染以及病原菌不产生抗药性等优点。本文按照多糖的来源及组成对其进行了分类,并且着重综述了活性多糖的免疫作用机理、活性多糖对水产动物的免疫功能的调节以及抗应激作用。在实际应用中活性多糖的活性受其剂量、作用时效、分子结构和给予方式等因素的影响,本文对此也进行了讨论,以期为该领域的研究工作与水产动物的健康养殖提供一些参考。  相似文献

为高质化利用南美白对虾加工副产物蛋白资源,本研究以南美白对虾加工副产物虾头虾壳为原料,蛋白水解度为考察指标,采用单因素和响应面试验优化酶解工艺。检测虾蛋白肽分子量的分布范围,评价其抗氧化能力及免疫调节作用。结果表明,碱性蛋白酶与虾头内源酶自溶酶解具有较好的协同作用,最佳酶解工艺参数值为:酶添加量4%、酶解时间6.5 h、酶解温度40 ℃、料液比1∶5。经蛋白层析仪检测,分子质量分布在75~1 355 Da的蛋白肽占比达到76.35%。虾蛋白肽的羟自由基清除率IC50为4.64 mg/mL、DPPH自由基清除率IC50为3.08 mg/mL,提示其具有一定的抗氧化能力。虾蛋白肽中剂量组(10 mg/kg)能显著促进淋巴细胞增殖,并提高免疫低下模型小鼠的免疫器官指数和吞噬指数,表明虾蛋白肽具有显著的免疫调节作用。  相似文献
