Time-lapse seismic is one of the main methods for monitoring changes in reservoir conditions caused by production or injection of fluids. One approach to time-lapse seismic is through permanent reservoir monitoring, whereby seismic sources and/or receivers are permanently deployed. Permanent reservoir monitoring can offer a more cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution than traditional campaign-based surveys that rely on temporarily deployed equipment while facilitating more frequent measurements. At the CO2CRC Otway Project, surface orbital vibrators were coupled to a buried geophone array to form a permanent reservoir monitoring system. These are fixed position seismic sources that provide both P and S waves using induction motor-driven eccentric masses. After an initial injection of CO2 in February 2016, five months of continuous seismic data were acquired, and reflection imaging was used to assess the system performance. Analysis of the data showed the effects of weather variations on the near-surface conditions and the sweep signatures of surface orbital vibrators. Data processing flows of the continuous data was adapted from Vibroseis four-dimensional data processing flows. Ground roll proved a significant challenge to data processing. In addition, variations in the surface wave pattern were linked to major rainfall events. For the appraisal of surface orbital vibrators in imaging, a Vibroseis four-dimensional monitor survey data with similar geometry was also processed. Surface orbital vibrators are observed to be reliable sources with a potential to provide a repeatable signal, especially if the ground roll should fall outside the target window of interest. To guide future permanent reservoir monitoring applications, a repeatability analysis was performed for the various key data processing steps.  相似文献

The Kocali Complex in SE Turkey includes pelagic sediments (pelagic limestones, cherts, etc.), basic volcanic rocks of oceanic crust origin together with platform-derived sediments. Its depositional age was previously assigned as Late Jurassic–Early Cretaceous. In order to study the radiolarian contents of volcano-sedimentary sequences in this complex, six stratigraphic sections have been measured mainly at the NE and NW Adiyaman city.Radiolarian faunas from these stratigraphic sections reveal that the age of these sequences ranges from middle Carnian to Rhaetian. Based on these data, the depositional age of the complex is older than the previously assigned. Lithological characteristics (widespread Triassic basic volcanic rocks associated with pelagic sediments) and radiolarian contents of these sequences have close similarities with the sequences of the Alakircay Nappe of the Antalya Nappes in western and central Taurides.Based on taxonomic studies, 99 taxa have been determined of which one genus (Adiyamanium) and four species (Monocapnuchosphaera kocaliensis, Paronaella speciosa, Ferresium okuyucui and Adiyamanium crassum) are described as new.  相似文献

The least-squares wavelet analysis, an alternative to the classical wavelet analysis, was introduced in order to analyze unequally spaced and non-stationary time series exhibiting components with variable amplitude and frequency over time. There are a few methods such as cross-wavelet transform and wavelet coherence that can analyze two time series together. However, these methods cannot generally be used to analyze unequally spaced and non-stationary time series with associated covariance matrices that may have trends and/or datum shifts. A new method of analyzing two time series together, namely the least-squares cross-wavelet analysis, is developed and applied to study the disturbances in the gravitational gradients observed by GOCE satellite that arise from plasma flow in the ionosphere represented by Poynting flux. The proposed method also shows its outstanding performance on the Westford–Wettzell very long baseline interferometry baseline length and temperature series.  相似文献

To serve as a tool in the long term evaluation of the risk of accumulation of microbial contaminants (bacteria and viruses) entering soil and groundwater, a mathematical model is developed to predict the spatial and temporal distribution of pollutant concentration. The governing equation for bacterial transport is coupled with a transport equation for the bacterial nutrient present in the seeping wastewater. The deposition and declogging mechanisms are incorporated into the model as a rate process for bacteria and as an equilibrium partitioning for viruses. While the decay is assumed to be a first order reaction and the growth of bacteria is assumed to follow the Monod equation, the model equations exhibit nonlinearity and coupling. A simplified set of equations is solved analytically to test the numerical results. Coupled numerical solutions in one and two dimensions are obtained by the Galerkin method at spatial and temporal locations of interest. Cases studied included a soil column and a horizontal two-dimensional field coupled with the one dimensional solution. For these examples, the bacteria are removed almost totally within the top 7 cm of soil with minimal risk of clogging.  相似文献
