This paper explores applications of digital photogrammetric modeling of mountainous terrain in forecasting snow depth and the meltwater avalanche hazard in a mining region of northwestern Russia. We formulate a completely three-dimensional nonstationary model of the thermal state and gas production rate of rotating spherical cometary nuclei moving in circular and elliptical orbits around the Sun. We perform a thermophysical analysis of the problem and formulate a system of similarity criteria. The possible thermal regimes of cometary nuclei are analyzed in the space of suggested similarity criteria. Only one criterion dependent on the nucleus spin period is shown to play a dominant role for rotating nuclei at a given heliocentric distance. This simplifies greatly a parametric study of the gas production rate of real cometary nuclei under conditions of uncertainty in their parameters. Based on the developed model, we numerically investigate the thermal state and gas production rate of rotating nuclei. The results of our calculations are in complete agreement with those of the similarity analysis for the problem. We perform a comparative analysis of the currently used simplified thermal models for cometary nuclei and determine the range of their applicability. 相似文献

In terrigenous flysch strata of the Upper Kolyma Region in northeastern Russia, microaggregates of sulfides with spherical
form are widespread. During dynamic metamorphism, spherical sulfide units were segregated into lenticular aggregates along
the cleavage planes, were as seed, or were recrystallized into faceted metacrystals. Further stress on the rock sometimes
led to a morphologically expressed particular dissolution of pyrite crystals along the cleavage directions, and to their depletion
with admixture elements. A more substantial effect led to transformation of pyrite into pyrrotine with inclusions of chalcopyrite
and Fe-Ni-Co-sulfoarsenides. Relict sulfides reflect, to a certain degree, the primary geochemical condition of the sedimentation
period and its further evolution. When studying the numerous sulfidization zones, the composition of relict sulfides allows

We have obtained the first U BV R photoelectric light curves for a recently discovered eclipsing binary with a period of 9.33 d and an appreciable eccentricity (e = 0.08). We have used these data to determine the photometric elements of the system for a model with two spherical stars with linear limb darkening. The high accuracy of the observations enabled determination of the absolute parameters of the components using available calibrations. The masses of the components are 1.28 and 1.08 M ⊙, and their ages are two billion years. The present orientation of the orbital ellipse is unfavorable for studies of the apsidal rotation, which is essentially due to relativistic effects. 相似文献

The Okhotsk-Chukotka volcanic belt (OChVB) formed over 25 Ma from the middle Albian to the Cenomanian at the boundary of the
continental Verkhoyansk-Chukotka and the Koryak-Kamchatka collages of terranes as a special tectonic unit of the Earth℉s crust
composed of subaerial volcanic rocks extending for 3000 km. In regard to the oceanic margin, the inner, outer, and flank zones
of the OChVB have been recognized. The complex structure of terranes in the basement and the OChVB itself resulted in the
formation of diverse epithermal deposits. Porphyry copper-molybdenum deposits are concentrated in the inner zone. The outer
zone is characterized by gold-silver ore mineralization and a variety of tin deposits. Silver-base-metal deposits (Dukat,
Lunny, Arylakh, etc.) are confined to the rift-related volcanic trough that complicates the OChVB between the Yana-Kolyma

The results of photometric (BV RIJHK) and polarimetric (R)monitoring of the blazar 3C 66A performed at the St. Petersburg State University and the Central AstronomicalObservatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2007–2015, radio observations performed by the Boston University team with the Very Long Baseline Array at 43 GHz, and a gamma-ray light curve based on observations with the Fermi SpaceObservatory are presented. Color variations of the object are studied. Changes in the optical spectral energy distribution are observed at some times, indicating the appearance and disappearance of individual variable sources. A variable source with a degree of polarization of 36% is identified, which is responsible for the polarization variations observed during one episode. The correlations between the variations in the different spectral ranges indicate that the optical and gamma-ray radiation originates near the radio core detected at 43 GHz. We develop a three-dimensional numerical model for an ensemble of molecular clouds moving in the fixed gravitational potential of a galaxy. This scheme is a modification of the widely known model of Oort and includes different processes of coagulation and fragmentation of clouds under pairwise collisions, interaction of clouds with the diffuse interstellar medium, and also feedback: the breaking up of clouds into small fragments under the action of stars arising in them. This model makes it possible to study the influence of various parameters of both the galaxy itself and the ensemble of molecular clouds on the process of large-scale star formation connected with giant molecular clouds and on the temporal changes of the global structure of the interstellar medium.
