Land subsidence in China occurs predominantly in 17 provinces (cities) situated in the eastern and middle regions of the country,
including Shanghai, Tianjin and Jiangsu, and Hebei provinces. It is primarily caused by groundwater overpumping. One of the
areas most severely affected by land subsidence is the Yangtze Delta, most of which consists of Shanghai City, the Su-Xi-Chang
area (Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou cities) of Jiangsu Province, and the Hang-Jia-Hu area (Hangzhou, Jiaxing and Huzhou cities)
of Zhejiang Province. The excessive exploitation of groundwater forms in a large regional cone of depression and, consequently,
land subsidence is also regional, currently centered in the Shanghai and Su-Xi-Chang areas. In 2002, the maximum cumulative
subsidence of Shanghai, Su-Xi-Chang and Hang-Jia-Hu were 2.63 m, 2.00 and 1.06 m, respectively. The land subsidence area is
continuing to expand throughout the Yangtze Delta. To study the characteristics and the pattern of this land subsidence, the
government has implemented a monitoring system involving the placement of 37 groups of extensometers (layers marks) and drilling
of more than 1000 observation wells. These provide an invaluable historical record of deformation and pore water pressure
and facilitate studies on the special features of soil deformation when the groundwater level changes due to pumping. Several
measures have been taken in recent years to control the development of the land subsidence in the different areas; these include
groundwater injection, prohibition of pumping deep confined groundwater, and an adjustment of the pumping depth and magnitude
of the groundwater withdrawn. At present, although the subsidence area is still increasing slowly, the subsidence rate is

Organic matter in sediments, for instance, carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus, can be used to reconstruct the paleoecological
and pollution history of lakes and their catchment basins. In this paper, the contents of allochthonous organic carbon (allochthonous
OC) and autochthonous organic carbon (autochthonous OC) in sediment cores taken from Wuliangsuhai Lake and Daihai Lake in
northern China are quantified by using a binary model, and phosphorus forms in the sediment cores from the two lakes are extracted
by sequential extraction techniques. The results indicate that the palaeoenvironment and paleoclimate of Daihai Lake and
its catchment basin in the recent 250 years can be well reconstructed based on the content of allochthonous OC. The climate
was relatively humid and warm in the period of 1865–2005, while relatively dry and cold in the period of 1765–1865. The sedimentary
information of allochthonous OC in the 22–42-cm portion of the sediment cores in Daihai Lake corresponds to the final cold
fluctuation of the Little Ice Age that occurred since the Middle Holocene. The difference of phosphorus forms in the sediment
cores between the two lakes indicates that phosphorus input to the lakes and the correlation between phosphorus forms and
distribution and the changes of environment are influenced by the eutrophication mechanisms and environmental conditions of

Tropical cyclone potential hazard in Southeast China and its linkage with the East Asian westerly jet 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A new synthesized index for estimating the hazard of both accumulated strong winds and heavy rainfall from a tropical cyclone (TC) is presented and applied to represent TC potential hazard over Southeast China. Its relationship with the East Asian westerly jet in the upper troposphere is also investigated. The results show that the new TC potential hazard index (PHI) is good at reflecting individual TC hazard and has significantly higher correlation with economic losses. Seasonal variation of TC-PHI shows that the largest TC-PHI on average occurs in July-August, the months when most TCs make landfall over mainland China. The spatial distribution of PHI at site shows that high PHI associated with major landfall TCs occurs along the southeast coast of China. An East Asian westerly jet index (EAWJI), which represents the meridional migration of the westerly jet, is defined based on two regions where significant correlations exist between TC landfall frequency and zonal wind at 200 hPa. Further analyses show that an anomalous easterly steering flow occurred above the tracks of TCs, and favored TCs making landfall along the southeast coast of China, leading to an increase in the landfall TC when the EAWJ was located north of its average latitude. Meanwhile, anomalous easterly wind shear and positive anomaly in low-level relative vorticity along TCs landfall-track favored TC development. In addition, anomalous water vapor transport from westerly wind in the South China Sea resulted in more condensational heating and an enhanced monsoon trough, leading to the maintenance of TC intensity for a longer time. All of these environmental factors increase the TC potential hazard in Southeast China. Furthermore, the EAWJ may affect tropical circulation by exciting meridional propagation of transient eddies. During a low EAWJI phase in July-August, anomalous transient eddy vorticity flux at 200 hPa propagates southward over the exit region of the EAWJ, resulting in eddy vorticity flux convergence and the weakening in the zonal westerly flow to the south of the EAWJ exit region, producing a favorable upper-level circulation for a TC making landfall. 相似文献

为深入挖掘居民不同类型活动的出行需求,进而制定更加精细化的交通政策,从活动分析法的视角出发,基于结构方程模型分析西宁城市居民家内外活动时间分配的机理及影响因素。结果表明:工作日,居民的通勤出行仍然是城市交通需要重点解决的问题。休息日,工作和通勤时间长的居民更倾向于在家内进行维持活动;而休息日不工作的居民更容易产生进行家外维持活动的出行需求。不同社会经济属性的居民对于家内外时间分配具有差异化特征。单位大院职住接近的特征对于减少居民通勤出行时间仍然具有积极作用,但维持性活动时间分配与其他类型社区居民已经没有显著差异。 相似文献

基于调查问卷和半结构式访谈的数据,以西安市典型社区贫困群体的主观生活质量为研究对象,分别采用语义差别法研究生活环境感知、熵权TOPSIS 法测算主观满意度、关联网络法分析生活感受特征。结果表明:① 贫困群体对生活环境感知存在局限性,感知能力较差,大多数人群感知结果偏向于正,形成主观感知与客观事实存在偏差的特征。② 贫困群体对生活质量感知较为敏感。就生活质量主观满意度而言,贫困群体主观满意度不高,离各指标的最优状态还相差甚远。4个典型地区贫困人群的主观满意度同处于中等偏低水平。就生活质量感受特征而言,贫困群体对其生活状况的感受整体上是消极的和负面的,生活的不满主要与工作状况、薪资水平密切相关,生活的满意感主要与邻里关系及交通条件等有关。③ 不同类型社区贫困群体感知差异显著,形成原因与典型社区的规划建设背景、所处地理位置、现有功能定位等因素有关。 相似文献

基于非期望产出视角,采用SBM模型测度2005~2014年中国东部沿海地区53个城市(不包括港、澳、台、三沙市)的城市发展效率,并分析其时空差异特征及其影响因素。结果表明:① 考虑非期望产出的城市发展效率值低于不考虑非期望产出的城市发展效率值,并且更符合城市实际发展; ② 中国东部沿海地区城市发展效率整体水平不高,波动幅度大,阶段特征明显,整体呈先上升后下降的趋势;③ 在时空分析特征中,城市发展效率的区域差异明显,近2 a有缩小的趋势;整体城市发展效率空间呈现“北部围绕青岛市,中部围绕上海市,南部围绕深圳市”的发展格局;④ 在影响因素分析中,经济规模对城市发展效率产生正向影响,第二产业结构水平和污染处理能力对城市发展效率产生负向影响,传统的加工制造业、高耗能重污染工业和污染处理不到位是导致城市发展效率降低的主要原因。 相似文献
