The technique for determining the spatial location of the polar cap, auroral oval, and subauroral zone of the high-latitude space, based on the geomagnetic data from the Greenland chain of magnetic stations, is proposed. The belonging of a specific station to one of the zones is determined based on the results of operation of a self-learning classification artificial neural network of a Kohonen-layer type. The amplitude-frequency spectra and the matrices of wavelet coefficients for analyzing data from the magnetic observation network are the input calculation parameters.  相似文献

The correlation between the indices, characterizing the intensity of the symmetric (SYM) and asymmetric (ASY) parts of a magnetic disturbance during a magnetic storm, and the indices, reflecting the intensity of the eastward (AU) and westward (AL) electrojets in the auroral zone, are analyzed. The role of the magnetospheric-ionospheric current systems in the generation of a geomagnetic disturbance asymmetry during the magnetic storm main and recovery phases has been assessed based on this analysis. The effects of the dayside and dusk plumes of the plasmasphere during the ring current recovery phase on the disturbance level of the ground geomagnetic field horizontal component have been considered. It has been indicated that the geomagnetic field horizontal component changes specifically and synchronously in the region corresponding to the plasmaspheric dayside plume. Outside the plume the time variations in the geomagnetic field horizontal component pronouncedly differs. A spectral analysis of disturbances in the geomagnetic field horizontal components in the range of geomagnetic pulsations indicated that the intensity in the range of Pc4 pulsations increases at magnetic stations located on field lines corresponding to the dayside and dusk plumes of the plasmasphere. These pulsations detected in the dynamic spectrum of the geomagnetic field horizontal components in the dayside plume region of the plasmasphere, probably reflect the resonance oscillations of magnetic field lines in the region of field-aligned currents at comparatively low altitudes. We assume that this is caused by the instability of field-aligned currents originating as a result of the interaction between the ring current energetic ions and electromagnetic waves in the region with a relatively dense background plasma of the dayside plume.  相似文献

The algorithm for predicting one of the main parameters of the ionospheric HF radio channel—maximum observed frequency (MOF)—for the interval 0.5–3 h has been synthesized based on the technology of artificial neural networks (ANNs). The data of oblique-incidence LFM sounding obtained on the Inskip (England)-Rostov-on-Don path have been used for this purpose. The studies have been performed under different geophysical conditions. The relation of MOF to the variations in the key parameters of the solar wind and IMF, responsible for the succession of development of magnetospheric-ionospheric disturbances leading to a change in the HF radiocommunication conditions, has been established. The time scales of the ionospheric response have been determined. The practical value of the performed work consists in that the obtained results are used to increase the reliability of ionospheric HF radiocommunication.  相似文献

Method of short-term forecast intensity of geomagnetic storms, expected by effect Solar wind magnetic clouds in the Earth’s magnetosphere is developed. The method is based calculation of the magnetic field clouds distribution, suitable to the Earth, the initial satellite measurements therein components of the interplanetary magnetic field in the solar ecliptic coordinate system. Conclusion about the magnetic storm intensity is expected on the basis of analysis of the dynamics of the reduced magnetic field Bz component clouds and established communication intensity of geomagnetic storms on Dst-index values and Bz component of the interplanetary magnetic field vector.  相似文献

The space-weather complexes including characteristics of solar streams (parameters of the solar wind, components of the interplanetary magnetic-field vector) and temporal quantitative estimates of their geomagnetic effects (Dst index) are classified. Comparative and neural-network methods for this classification are developed. As a result of numerical neural-network experiments, types of solar streams responsible for generation of geomagnetic perturbations with different intensities are established. It is confirmed that, on the basis of the selected space weather complexes, it is possible to refine the influence of these streams on the electromagnetic state of the magnetic sphere and, hence, improve the accuracy of predictions of this state.  相似文献

In the first part of study the possibility of high frequency (HF) and low frequency (LF) modes of magnetogravity waves (MGW) propagation in the equatorial atmosphere in conditions of ionospheric F2 layer is demonstrated taking into account the finite conductivity. Here the spectral features of the excited HF MGW mode is studied. At the second part of study the dispersion relations for LF MGW in the ionospheric equatorial region is received. The spectral features of the disturbed components of medium displacement for LF MGW generated by a mass source are investigated. The results are applied to calculate the values of the spectral components of magnetogravity density, pressure and magnetic field disturbances caused by horizontal meteor sweep. The estimates may be useful in the analysis of ionospheric disturbances excited by high-energy geophysical sources.  相似文献

A program for identifying magnetic clouds in patrol satellite data, which recorded the interplanetary medium parameters near the magnetosphere, has been developed based on the cloud model in the form of a force-free cylindrical flux tube. The program makes it possible to also determine the entire magnetic field distribution in a cloud that approaches the Earth, using the initial satellite measurements. For this purpose, a model cloud (which has the maximal correlation coefficient with an analyzed cloud with respect to three magnetic field vector components and minimal rms deviations of the magnetic field and velocity components) is selected from the preliminarily created database including 2 million model clouds. The obtained magnetic field distribution in a cloud will make it possible to predict the intensity of a magnetic storm that this cloud will cause.  相似文献
