The influence of electron non-Maxwellian distributions (power and -distribution) on the electron excitation rate in the solar corona is demonstrated. It is shown that the deviations in electron excitation rate are sufficient to affect intensities of spectral lines. As an example the diagnostics of a power-law distribution are demonstrated for a simplified calculation of the resonance lines of Fexxiv, Fexxv and Fexxvi. The results can be used in diagnosing solar flare plasmas, where the deviations of the electron distribution from a Maxwellian distribution can be large.  相似文献

Different methods are proposed and tested for transforming a nonlinear differential system, and more particularly a hamiltonian one, into a map without having to integrate the whole orbit as in the well known Poincaré map technique. We construct piecewise polynomial maps by coarse-graining the phase surface of section into parallelograms using values of the Poincaré maps at the vertices to define a polynomial approximation within each cell. The numerical experiments are in good agreement with the standard map taken as a model problem. The agreement is better when the number of vertices and the order of the polynomial fit increase. The synthetic mapping obtained is not symplectic even if at vertices there is an exact interpolation. We introduce a second new method based on a global fitting . The polynomials are obtained using at once all the vertices and fitting by least square polynomes but in such a way that the symplectic character is not lost.  相似文献

Igneous rocks of the Devonian Kola Alkaline Carbonatite Province (KACP) in NW Russia and eastern Finland can be classified into four groups: (a) primitive mantle-derived silica-undersaturated silicate magmas; (b) evolved alkaline and nepheline syenites; (c) cumulate rocks; (d) carbonatites and phoscorites, some of which may also be cumulates. There is no obvious age difference between these various groups, so all of the magma-types were formed at the same time in a relatively restricted area and must therefore be petrogenetically related. Both sodic and potassic varieties of primitive silicate magmas are present. On major element variation diagrams, the cumulate rocks plot as simple mixtures of their constituent minerals (olivine, clinopyroxene, calcite, etc). There are complete compositional trends between carbonatites, phoscorites and silicate cumulates, which suggests that many carbonatites and phoscorites are also cumulates. CaO / Al2O3 ratios for ultramafic and mafic silicate rocks in dykes and pipes range up to 5, indicating a very small degree of melting of a carbonated mantle at depth. Damkjernites appear to be transitional to carbonatites. Trace element modelling indicates that all the mafic silicate magmas are related to small degrees of melting of a metasomatised garnet peridotite source. Similarities of the REE patterns and initial Sr and Nd isotope compositions for ultramafic alkaline silicate rocks and carbonatites indicate that there is a strong relationship between the two magma-types. There is also a strong petrogenetic link between carbonatites, kimberlites and alkaline ultramafic lamprophyres. Fractional crystallisation of olivine, diopside, melilite and nepheline gave rise to the evolved nepheline syenites, and formed the ultramafic cumulates. All magmas in the KACP appear to have originated in a single event, possibly triggered by the arrival of hot material (mantle plume?) beneath the Archaean/Proterozoic lithosphere of the northern Baltic Shield that had been recently metasomatised. Melting of the carbonated garnet peridotite mantle formed a spectrum of magmas including carbonatite, damkjernite, melilitite, melanephelinite and ultramafic lamprophyre. Pockets of phlogopite metasomatised lithospheric mantle also melted to form potassic magmas including kimberlite. Depth of melting, degree of melting and presence of metasomatic phases are probably the major factors controlling the precise composition of the primary melts formed.  相似文献

This article presents some results of an investigation of sulphur atmospheric deposition in areas with different anthropogenic loads in Belarus. Through sampling and chemical analysis of precipitation, new data about sulphate concentrations in precipitation and atmospheric deposition of sulphur in different conditions, including regional background conditions, a large industrial city and a zone affected by point source of sulphur emission, were obtained. Comparison of the chemical composition of precipitation at three sampling locations has shown that the local emission of sulphur compounds has a minor influence on local sulphur deposition. This data points to the dominant role of transboundary transfer of sulphur in contamination and acidification of the environment in Belarus.  相似文献

This paper presents an application of the TOPEX/Poseidon (T/P) satellite altimetry data to estimate river discharge at three sites along the Amazon River. We discuss the methodology to establish empirical relationships between satellite-derived water levels and daily estimations of river discharges based on rating curves and in situ level measurements at gauging stations. Three sites are chosen: Manacapuru (River Solimões), Jatuarana (nearby the confluence of the Solimões and Rio Negro rivers) and Óbidos (Amazon River). We then reconstruct the satellite-based river discharge over a 10-year time span (1992–2002). Comparison between satellite-derived and river discharge at the gauging stations shows that the T/P data can successfully be used for hydrological studies of large rivers, in providing in particular discharge estimates when in situ data are not available. The high topographic complexity of the Alpine region is the origin of important climate differences that characterise the different areas of the Alps. These differences might have had a strong influence on vegetation and on migrations of human populations in the past. Based on an improved database containing about 3000 modern pollen samples, the standard “Modern Analogue Technique” has been applied to five pollen sequences from the subalpine belt of the South-western Italian Alps (Laghi dell’Orgials, 2240 m, Lago delle Fate, 2130 m, Torbiera del Biecai, 1920 m, Rifugio Mondovì, 1760 m, Pian Marchisio, 1624 m) to provide quantitative climate estimates for the Lateglacial and Holocene periods. Consistent climate trends are reconstructed for the different sequences. Sites recorded in detail the climate variations when they were located at the limit of two ecotones. Sites above the tree line recorded lower temperature values and less important variations. Climate was cold and dry during the Oldest and Younger Dryas and close to present-day values during the Bølling/Allerød interstadial. At the beginning of the Holocene, climate changed to warmer and moister conditions; a high number of climate fluctuations are recorded at several sites. A climate optimum is recorded in the Atlantic period, which caused a development of fir above its present-day altitudinal distribution. Climatic differences recorded at the various sites are discussed taking into account the limits of the method.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The origin of the Oligocene turbidites from the Cerro Pelón area in south Gulf Mexico proposed by Ortega-Flores et al. (2018) is in disagree with the interpretations made by Molina-Garza et al. (2019), which main criticism is based on U-Pb ages of detrital zircons from the matrix of a conglomerate unit, which they refer to as ‘Nanchital Conglomerate’, as well as on the presence of limestone, gabbros, and mafic protolith-derived clasts. Molina-Garza et al. (2019) basically interpret the Nanchital Conglomerate as Miocene in age, which was sourced mainly from metamorphic complexes including their sedimentary covers located to the west and south of the Cerro Pelón area. For some reason, Molina-Garza et al. (2019) suppose that the Nanchital Conglomerate should have the same provenance sources that the Oligocene turbidites from Cerro Pelón area, reported by Ortega-Flores et al. (2018). Based on the foregoing, we strongly disagree with Molina-Garza et al. (2019) considering that, from the beginning, they intend to compare two units of different age. Additionally, the scarce data reported from both the matrix and the clasts of the Nanchital Conglomerate are not determinant for interpreting the provenance of this conglomeratic unit and subsequently, to consider the same rock sources from the Oligocene through Miocene time.  相似文献

A statistical characterization for two-point temperature fluctuations in the planetary boundary layer (PBL) is analyzed and its implications on the long-standing closure problem discussed. Despite the non-triviality of the dynamics of temperature fluctuations, our analysis supports the idea that the most relevant statistical properties can be captured solely in terms of two scaling exponents. They turned out to be weakly dependent on the stability properties of the PBL. Its statistics have been investigated by collecting data from a field experiment carried out in the urban area of Turin (Italy) from January 2007 to March 2008. Our results confirm those from a large-eddy simulation (LES) analysis carried out for the convective PBL with different level of convection. We extend the scenario to the stable PBL, a regime much more difficult to simulate when exploiting LES.  相似文献
