The experiment on phase measurements of three components of a ULF magnetic field generated by a high-power controlled source in the region dominated by fault tectonics is described. The measurements were carried out along two orthogonal directions. It is established that the phase sharply varies by about 180° between some measurement points. The phase jumps are found to be confined to the conductive geological faults, which opens the possibility of locating the faults using the phases of ELF magnetic fields.  相似文献

We discuss the results of a study of microwave radiation from three flare-active regions??NOAA 10300, 10930, and 11158??with powerful eruptive events (X-class flares and coronal mass ejections) recorded on July 15, 2002; December 13, 2006; and February 15, 2011, when the regions were in the central part of the disk. There exists evidence of a ??-configuration in the structure of the photospheric magnetic field formed one or two days prior to the eruptive process as a result of the emergence of a new magnetic flux and shifting movements of the sunspots and accompanied by changes in the spectral characteristics of the microwave radiation of the active regions (ARs), which suggests the development of a peculiar radio source. The analysis of these regions continues a series of studies of eruptive events carried out at RATAN-600 in the 1980s?C1990s and gives a reason to conclude that early detections of peculiar sources in the microwave radiation of ARs, which are essentially areas of high energy release in the solar atmosphere, can be used as a factor in predicting powerful eruptive (geoeffective) processes on the Sun.  相似文献

The amplitudes of variations in the magnetic and electric fields at extremely low frequencies were studied on the Kola Peninsula during a five-day-long experiment under different geophysical conditions. These studies demonstrated that the influence of the ionosphere is distinguishable at frequencies of <10 Hz and the structure of field variations reflected by the ionosphere is similar to that of the transverse wave. It is established that the ratio between semimajor axes of polarization ellipses of the electric and magnetic fields is independent of the state of the ionosphere and is likely determined by the deep structure of the crust beneath the site of the experiment.  相似文献

Many-year variations of river runoff in the Selenga basin are analyzed along with precipitation, potential evapotranspiration, and basin water storages. Data of ground-based (1932–2015) and satellite observations, as well as the analysis of literature data suggest the presence of within-century cycles in the series of annual and minimum runoff. Compared with 1934–1975, the Selenga Basin shows a general tendency toward a decrease in the maximum (by 5–35%) and mean annual (up to 15%) runoff at an increase in the minimum runoff (by 30%), a decrease in the mean annual precipitation (by 12%), and an increase in potential evapotranspiration by 4% against the background of a decrease in evaporation because of lesser soil moisture content and an increase in moisture losses for infiltration because of permafrost degradation. The observed changes in water balance may have unfavorable environmental effects.  相似文献

We have analyzed the artificial pulsations detected in several cases in the hertz range in terms of the eastern electrojet dynamics. The pulsations were detected in 30% cases of pulse HF wave impact on the ionosphere during an experiment on modulated ionosphere heating at the Space Plasma Exploration by Active Radar (SPEAR) facility (Spitsbergen Archipelago) in November 2013. The pulsations occur when the polar edge of the eastern electrojet approaches the assumed region of influence on the ionosphere due to the northward drift of the electrojet or its extension with increased intensity. The pulsations vanish when the electrojet moves away from the influenced region, drifting southward. The beginning of pulsations is delayed by several minutes with respect to the starting of the HF transmitter. The pulsations are observed only in one of the horizontal components of the geomagnetic field at a distance of 50 km from the SPEAR facility, and they vanished at a distance of about 1300 km.  相似文献

The phase velocities of TE and TEM waves at frequencies of 1017 and 3017 Hz, as well as the effect of precipitations during auroras on the velocities, are estimated in the Earth–ionosphere waveguide on the basis of observations of electromagnetic fields of an ionospheric source in experiments on modification of the lower ionosphere by a modulated high-power short-wave signals performed by the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (AARI) at the EISCAT/Heating test bench in October 2016. Probable electron density profiles in the plane-stratified ionosphere are retrieved from the numerical solution of a wave equation, which are used for the calculation of the phase velocities close to measured ones.  相似文献
