Variations in glacier volume and snow cover and their impact on lake storage in the Paiku Co Basin,in the Central Himalayas

Glaciers and snow cover are important constituents of the surface of the Tibetan Plateau. The responses of these phenomena to global environmental changes are sensitive, rapid and intensive due to the high altitudes and arid cold climate of the Tibetan Plateau. Based on multisource remote sensing data, including Landsat images, MOD10A2 snow product, ICESat, Cryosat-2 altimetry data and long-term ground climate observations, we analysed the dynamic changes of glaciers, snow melting and lake in the Paiku Co basin using extraction methods for glaciers and lake, the degree-day model and the ice and lake volume method. The interaction among the climate, ice-snow and the hydrological elements in Paiku Co is revealed. From 2000 to 2018, the basin tended to be drier, and rainfall decreased at a rate of −3.07 mm/a. The seasonal temperature difference in the basin increased, the maximum temperature increased at a rate of 0.02°C/a and the minimum temperature decreased at a rate of −0.06°C/a, which accelerated the melting from glaciers and snow at rates of 0.55 × 10⁷ m³/a and 0.29 × 10⁷ m³/a, respectively. The rate of contribution to the lake from rainfall, snow and glacier melted water was 55.6, 27.7 and 16.7%, respectively. In the past 18 years, the warmer and drier climate has caused the lake to shrink. The water level of the lake continued to decline at a rate of −0.02 m/a, and the lake water volume decreased by 4.85 × 10⁸ m³ at a rate of −0.27 × 10⁸ m³/a from 2000 to 2018. This evaluation is important for understanding how the snow and ice melting in the central Himalayas affect the regional water cycle.  相似文献   

A possible method for the determination of the magnitude and inclination of a sunspot magnetic-field

A method is presented in this paper for the determination of both the H and the γ of a sunspot magnetic field by means of two polarizers with transmission axes inclined at ± 45° to the fast axis of a quarter-wave plate. Previously, this arrangement was used to determine H only.It is shown that the profiles of the Stokes parameters are sensitive to the sunspot atmosphere model used whereas the results given by the present method are not. It is shown, more ever, that the formula for determining H from the wave length shift, Δλ = 4.67 × 10^?5gHλ², cannot be used in many cases.  相似文献

本文通过对1980年以来长江上游10次洪涝过程的500hpa环流形势分析,并用车比雪夫多项式对500hpa高度场进行展开,研究了各类洪涝过程的中期演变特征,发现代表不同洪涝过程环流形势变化的不同的车氏系数值都有明显的特征变化,结合欧洲中心中期数值预告96小时500hpa高度场的车氏系数分析,可为洪涝暴雨的中期预报提供一种新的思路。  相似文献

The scientific satellite SST (Space Solar Telescope) is an important research project strongly supported by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Every day, SST acquires 50 GB of data (after processing) but only 10GB can be transmitted to the ground because of limited time of satellite passage and limited channel volume. Therefore, the data must be compressed before transmission. Wavelets analysis is a new technique developed over the last 10 years, with great potential of application. We start with a brief introduction to the essential principles of wavelet analysis, and then describe the main idea of embedded zerotree wavelet coding, used for compressing the SST images. 对1995年至2001年《Natue》和《Science》上发表的天文学论文的统计表明，行星天文学领域的论文数量明显超过天文学的其它分支学科，占天文学总论文数的1/3左右。从这个角度来看，行星天文学是天文学最活跃和重要的分支学科之一。对这些论文具体内容的分析可以给出当前行星天文学领域的若干热点问题。相比之下，我国对这一重要领域的关注和投入还远远不够。  相似文献   

星风吸积引起的钡星重元素超丰

首先指出目前星风吸积模型中理论上的不自洽，考虑到δｒ≠０，重新推导轨道参量变化方程，消去了理论上的不自洽．提出一个新模型：首次将星风吸积同内禀ＡＧＢ星核合成模型结合起来计算钡（Ｂａ）星的重元素超丰，并将计算结果与观测值进行了比较．各参量按标准情况取值时，计算结果不太理想．取Ｂｏｎｄｉｈｏｙｌｅ吸积率的０．５倍或取较大的星风速率时，对于较长轨道周期（Ｐ＞１０００天）的Ｂａ星，计算结果与观测值基本符合；而较短轨道周期（Ｐ＜６００天）的Ｂａ星，其重元素超丰机制可能是盘吸积  相似文献

针对现有的基于证书的认证加密方案通信量和计算量大的缺点,提出了基于自证明公钥的可公开验证的认证加密方案。详细阐述了方案的系统初始化、签名生成、消息恢复验证以及公开验证4个阶段,方案的安全性是基于求解离散对数的困难性(DLP)和强单向hash函数(OWFH)的不可逆。该方案在没有签名者的协作下,任何验证者都可验证签名者的诚实性,在验证签名的同时可认证签名者的公钥,因而减少了存储空间、通信量和计算量。  相似文献

In this paper, the development strategies ofshipplng centers and transportation networkare discussed based on economic giobalization tendency. The results argue that a united transportation network should bebuilt in order to promote the economic competition of Northeast Asia in the world. As a key component of the economiccooperation, a hierarchical shipping centers network should be established with Hong Kong, Shanghai, Pusan, Koho,and Tokyo as cores.
