A linear response function RF=C_H R_H+C_T(1-R_T)(R_H=peak height,used as a measure of‘sensitivity’,and R_T=analysis time,1-R_T,used as a measure of sampling rate)was used to optimize aFIA system for the determination of nitrite in water with respect to four experimental parameters(twotube lengths and two flow rates)by a Simplex procedure.The weights C_H and C_T placed on R_H and R_Twere systematically varied to cover their allowed range and the system obtained in each optimizationexperiment was implemented and evaluated by determining the following analytical parameters:reproducibility,limit of detection and sampling rate,It was found that these depend very markedly onthe weights used in the response function.Hence the use of a linear function for optimization provides auseful procedure for assessing the versatility of the experimental technique and for choosing the systemsfor its implementation in different practical situations.  相似文献

In the spring of 1998, 24-h time series and synchronization of vertical profiles of NO(3)-N, NO(2)-N, NH(3)-N, PO(4)-P, chlorophyll a, suspended substance, salinity, temperature and other chemical parameters were taken at 10 stations in the Pearl River estuary in order to analyze the status and characteristics of nutrients and eutrophication. The results indicated that dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN) mainly came from the four river channels in the main estuary, and NO(3)-N was the main form of DIN in most area. The concentration of DIN was general above 0.30 mg l(-1) in the estuary, and more than 0.50 mgl(-1) in most part. Phosphate from four river channels was not the main sources, but land-based sources from the area near Shenzhen Bay or along the estuary were obvious, and other land-based sources outside the estuary brought by coastal current and flood tide current were also the main contributions. The concentration of phosphate was generally about 0.015 mg l(-1) except the area near Shenzhen Bay. The ratio of N:P was generally high, and it was higher in the north than in the south. The highest ratio was higher than 300, and the lowest one was over 30. The concentration of chlorophyll a was about 0.8-7.8 mg m(-3), and turbidity and phosphate may be the main two limiting factors for algal bloom in the estuary. The concentration of nutrients decreased slightly in the past decade, but still stayed at a high level. The nutrients mainly came from domestic sewage, industrial wastewater, agriculture fertilizer and marine culture in the Pearl River estuary.  相似文献

Differences in sediment contaminant concentrations within two marinas and adjacent to the marinas in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands were compared to calculate the portion of those contaminants due to marina activities. In marina 1 (containing no vessel maintenance areas, but with a fuel dock) 88% of observed PAHs and 0% of metals were attributed to marina activities. In the marina/boatyard complex, 46% of PAHs and 89% of metals were attributed to marina sources. The distance from storm drain discharges, and sediment characteristics play a greater role in the distribution and fate of pollutants than do activities associated with a given marina station. The data also provided some evidence that the protection marinas offer to vessels from wind, currents, and waves may concentrate contaminants.  相似文献

The J = 2-1 transition of SiO has been searched for toward both hot and cold molecular gas. SiO was not detected toward the dark clouds TMC-1, L134 N, and B335, down to column density upper limits of N < 2-4 x 10(10) cm-2. The species, however, has been observed toward all sources with a kinetic temperature greater than or equal to 30 K, with the largest column densities (N approximately 10(13)-10(17) cm-2) measured in the warmest (TK > or = 100 K) material. The abundance of SiO, relative to HCN, is found to be approximately 0.1-1 in the massive star-forming regions toward Orion and NGC 7538; toward the dark clouds, the upper limits to this ratio is less than 0.0002-0.004. A similar enhancement in the warmer regions is reflected in the SiO/H2 ratio as well. A linear relation was found between the natural log of the SiO concentration and 1/TK, suggesting that the species' formation involves a chemically specific process that contains an activation barrier of approximately 90 K. SiO was also found to be underabundant with respect to SO in cold clouds, with SiO/SO < 1/1000, versus SiO/SO > or =, measured in Orion-KL. The formation of SiO is therefore linked closely to the local gas kinetic temperature, rather than the oxygen abundance, and its synthesis is likely to involve high-temperature gas-phase reactions. The species thus may serve as an unambiguous indicator of high-temperature or "shock" chemistry.  相似文献

Cometary grains containing large amounts of carbon and/or organic matter (CHON) were discovered by in situ measurements of comet Halley dust composition during VEGA and GIOTTO flyby missions. In this paper, we report the classification of these cometary grains by means of cluster analysis, discuss the resulting compositional groups, and compare them with substances observed or hypothesized in meteorites, interplanetary dust particles, and the interstellar medium. Grains dominated by carbon and/or organic matter (CHON grains) represent approximately 22% of the total population of measured cometary dust particles. They usually contain a minor abundance of rock-forming elements as well. Grains having organic material are relatively more abundant in the vicinity of the nucleus than in the outer regions of the coma, which suggests decomposition of the organics in the coma environment. The majority of comet Halley organic particles are multicomponent mixtures of carbon phases and organic compounds. Possibly, the cometary CHON grains may be related to kerogen material of an interstellar origin in carbonaceous meteorites. Pure carbon grains, hydrocarbons and polymers of cyanopolyynes, and multi-carbon monoxides are present in cometary dust as compositionally simple and distinctive components among a variety of others. There is no clear evidence of significant presence of pure formaldehyde or HCN polymers in Halley dust particles. The diversity of types of cometary organic compounds is consistent with the interstellar dust model of comets and probably reflects differences in composition of precursor dust. Preservation of this heterogeneity among submicron particles suggests the gentle formation of cometary nucleus by aggregation of interstellar dust in the protosolar nebula without complete mixing or chemical homogenization at the submicron level.  相似文献

The uptake of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) by marine deposit-feeding invertebrates can be determined by screening for PAH-derived metabolites. We identified 1-hydroxypyrene as the only intermediate metabolite in tissue of four species of deposit-feeding polychaetes, Nereis diversicolor, Nereis virens, Arenicola marina, and Capitella sp. I exposed to pyrene spiked sediment. Synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy (SFS) provides a fast and simple method for both qualitative and quantitative analysis of 1-hydroxypyrene in all four species. The SFS assay was validated using HPLC with ultraviolet detection. A good correlation between 1-hydroxypyrene concentrations determined by the two methods was observed. We used HPLC with fluorescence detection combined with enzymatic hydrolysis of conjugated metabolites to investigate species specific metabolite patterns. A tentative aqueous metabolite identification scheme indicates that Nereid polychaetes predominately make use of glucuronide conjugation whereas Capitella sp. I. and Arenicola marina appear to utilize predominantly sulfate and/or glucoside conjugation. The usefulness of 1-hydroxypyrene as a biomarker for PAH exposure in deposit-feeding invertebrates is discussed.  相似文献
