This study first explores the role of spatial heterogeneity, in both the saturated hydraulic conductivity Ks and rainfall intensity r, on the integrated hydrological response of a natural slope. On this basis, a mathematical model for estimating the expected areal‐average infiltration is then formulated. Both Ks and r are considered as random variables with assessed probability density functions. The model relies upon a semi‐analytical component, which describes the directly infiltrated rainfall, and an empirical component, which accounts further for the infiltration of surface water running downslope into pervious soils (the run‐on effect). Monte Carlo simulations over a clay loam soil and a sandy loam soil were performed for constructing the ensemble averages of field‐scale infiltration used for model validation. The model produced very accurate estimates of the expected field‐scale infiltration rate, as well as of the outflow generated by significant rainfall events. For the appropriate management of water resources in a watershed, it is essential to calculate the time distribution of runoff for the given rainfall event. In this paper, a kinematic‐wave‐based distributed watershed model using finite element method (FEM), geographical information systems (GIS) and remote‐sensing‐based approach is presented for the runoff simulation of small watersheds. The kinematic wave equations are solved using FEM for overland and channel flow to generate runoff at the outlet of the watershed concerned. The interception loss is calculated by an empirical model based on leaf area index (LAI). The Green‐Ampt Mein Larson (GAML) model is used for the estimation of infiltration. Remotely sensed data has been used to extract land use (LU)/land cover (LC). GIS have been used to prepare finite element grid and input files such as Manning's roughness and slope. The developed overland flow model has been checked with an analytical solution for a hypothetical watershed. The model has been applied to a gauged watershed and an ungauged watershed. From the results, it is seen that the model is able to simulate the hydrographs reasonably well. A sensitivity analysis of the model is carried out with the calibrated infiltration parameters, overland flow Manning's roughness, channel flow Manning's roughness, time step and grid size. We have analysed the X-ray spectra of the highly variable X-ray source Cygnus X-3 over a wide energy range from 5 keV to 150 keV using data selected from the RXTE archives. Separate analysis of the low and hard states show the presence of a hard powerlaw tail in both the states. Here we present the result of the wide band spectral study of the source.  相似文献

A new ‘clean’ spectral technique has been applied, for the first time, to analyse a record of long-term sea-level fluctuation during the last 200 million year (Myr). The technique is based on a one dimensional complex deconvolution algorithm and removes the effects of the data sampling as well as the artifacts arising from the choice of data window. The analysis reveals a dominant periodicity of 33 Myr in the sea-level variations. This periodicity compares well with the known half-period of the Sun's oscillation perpendicular to the galactic plane. Interestingly, a 33 Myr periodicity can also be correlated with the reported mass extinction cycles and other geological periodicities. The results suggest galactic forcing as a possible driving mechanism for quasi-periodic terrestrial processes.  相似文献

TheUBV light curves obtained by Duerbeck (1975) andHa (wide) and Ha (narrow) light curves obtained by Chambliss & Davan (1987) of the detached eclipsing binary VV Orionis (VV Ori) were analysed using the Wilson-Devinney method fixing the two parametersT h (25,000 K) and q(0.4172), resulting in the following absolute elements:A = 13.605 ± 0.03 LR,R h = 5.03 ±0.03R , Rc = 2.43 ±0.02R ,M bol,h = -5.18 ± 0.11,M bol,c = -1.54 ± 0.06,m h =10.81 + 0.42m andm c = 4.51 ± 0.41m . The de-reddened colours obtained from applying the reddening corrections ofE(B-V) = 0m.05 andE(U-B) = O m .04, and the derived temperatures of the components, gave spectral types ofB 1.5V for the primary and 54-5V with anUV excess of 0 m ·3 for the secondary component. A comparison of the logL and logT e of the components with the observed ZAMS shows the primary component to be a little above and the secondary component to be a little below/or on the ZAMS. A comparison of the properties of the components of VV Ori and a few other detached systems with the normal stars in the logL, logR and logT e versus logm planes, indicated a need for either a readjustment of the scales of the above parameters or modifications in the theoretical models. From the position of the components on the evolutionary tracks of Pop I composition computed by Schaller et al. (1992) it is noticed that while the primary component of W Ori had slightly evolved along the main-sequence, its secondary is still unevolved. The age of VV Ori is found to be 10 ± 1 million years and it is at a distance of 368 ± 10 pc.  相似文献

A three‐dimensional, numerical free‐surface‐flow simulation model is developed to investigate hydrodynamics of a lake and the predictive capabilities of the numerical model are validated by comparing them with field results obtained from Lake Naini, Uttar Pradesh, using environmental isotope (δ18O, δD and 3H) techniques. 随着文化创意产业在世界范围内的崛起,城市文化职能和全球文化城市成为城市网络研究的新兴视角。借助“大麦网”数据,基于空间分析和岭回归方法,揭示基于文化演出消费活动的中国城市网络空间结构与影响因素,对现有城市网络研究形成补充。研究表明:①文化巡回演出的城市网络呈现出中国城市网络中常见的“菱形结构”,但是向二、三线城市渗透的趋势较为明显,体现了不同级别城市本地文化生产能力的差异以及文化演出边际收益递增的特点;②中西部省会城市在城市网络中的影响力表现出明显的上升,而东部沿海地区核心城市的影响力则出现一定程度的下降,反映出中国不同地区演出市场发育程度以及区域中心城市在对外文化联系中地位的差异;③不同类型文化演出在空间分布和网络结构上同样存在较为明显的差异,反映出其市场结构和盈利模式的差异以及城市地方文化消费特征的影响;④文化教育发展水平、地方政府投入、城市总体经济发展和消费水平以及对外开放程度是影响中国文化演出消费城市网络空间格局的重要因素,反映出文化演出消费的独特性。  相似文献

The rice land is linked to the climate change due to its methane emission potential. The systems of growing rice and associated soil and crop management practices that have evolved are varied and complex. However, from the methane emission point of view, water regime is a crucial parameter. According to IPCC guidelines the rice ecosystem need to be categorized into four strata for methane emission study. The remote sensing based stratification map previously developed was used for in-situ weekly/monthly measurements of methane emission from the representative ecosystems, samples were collected and analysed using gas chromatography following the IPCC standards for three consecutive years; 2003, 2004 and 2005. This paper highlights the results of methane emission measurement and pattern from rice lands of India based on in-situ measurements. The CH4 emission pattern of irrigated crop in dry season showed a steady increase in the beginning which peaks during flowering stage, decreasing gradually thereafter. The results were consistent for different varieties and across the years. The emission pattern of irrigated wet season crop showed two peaks. The emission pattern also showed the influence of crop variety as well as year (of observation). The mean emission coefficient derived from all categories and all samples (n = 471) weighted for the Indian rice crop was 74.05 + 43.28 kg/ha.  相似文献
