Experiments reproducing the development of bimetasomatic zoning in the CaO-MgO-SiO2-H2O-CO2 system were conducted at elevated P-T parameters with the use of samples of naturally occurring quartzdolomite and calcite-serpentinite rocks. In order to maintain mass transfer exclusively via the diffusion-controlled mechanism, we used the method of the ensured compaction of the cylindrical sample surface with a thin-walled gold tube. In the course of the experiments, a single diopside zone ~2.5 × 10?5 m thick was obtained at the quartz-dolomite interface at T = 600°C, $P_{H_2 O + CO_2 } $ = 200 MPa, and $X_{CO_2 } $ = 0.5 for 25–40 days and a succession of metasomatic zones at T = 750°C, $P_{H_2 O + CO_2 } $ = 300 MPa, and $X_{CO_2 } $ = 0.4 for 48 days. The metasomatic zones were as follows (listed in order from quartz to dolomite): wollastonite ‖ diopside ‖ tremolite ‖ calcite + forsterite; with the average width of the diopside zone equal to ~1.3 × 10?5 m and the analogous part of the wollastonite zone equal to ~2.6 × 10?5 m. Two zones (listed in order from calcite to serpentine) diopside and diopside-forsterite (the average widths of these zones were ~6 × 10?4 and ~8 × 10?4 m, respectively) were determined to develop at contact between serpentine and calcite during experiments that lasted 124 days at T = 500°C, $P_{H_2 O + CO_2 } $ = 200 MPa, and $X_{CO_2 } $ = 0.2–0.4. In the former and latter situations, the growth rate of the zoning ranged between 3.1 × 10?12 and 1.2 × 10?11 m/s and between 5.6 × 10?11 and 7.5 × 10?11 m/s, respectively. The higher growth rate in the latter case can be explained by the higher water mole fraction in the fluid, with this water released during serpentinite decomposition in the experiments. The development of the only diopside zone in the experiments modeling the interaction of quartz and dolomite at T = 600–650°C and $P_{H_2 O + CO_2 } $ = 200 MPa is in conflict with theoretical considerations underlain by the Korzhinskii-Fisher-Joesten model. The interaction of quartz and dolomite in the CaO-MgO-SiO2-CO2-H2O system at the P-T- $X_{CO_2 } $ parameters specified above should be attended by the origin of a number of reaction zones consisting of various proportions of talc, forsterite, tremolite, diopside, and calcite. The saturation of the fluid with respect to these minerals was likely not reached, and this resulted in the degeneration of the respective stability fields in the succession of zones. Conceivably, this was related to the insufficient rates of quartz and dolomite dissolution and the relatively low diffusion rates of the dissolved species in the low-permeable medium. In the experiments with interacting calcite and serpentine, the zoning calcite ‖ diopside ‖ diopside + forsterite ‖ serpentine developed in its complete form, in agreement with the theory. Equilibrium was likely achieved in these experiments due to the higher diffusion coefficients.  相似文献

The article describes the thermal metamorphism of siliceous carbonate rocks near the dolerite intrusive body in Eastern Siberia. The mineral associations at the immediate contact with dolerite are the following: wollastonite+rankinite, rankinite+spurrite (+melilite?), spurrite+melilite+merwinite+calcite and merwinite+monticellite+melilite+calcite. The melilite in these associations is usually unzoned; its composition being essentially gehlenitic. During the regressive stage of contact metamorphism new akermanite-rich melilite and calcite were formed by replacement of merwinite and earlier gehlenitic melilite through participation of CO2. The newly forming melilite grains have sharp compositional zoning. The origin of zoning was connected with the fall of temperature and decrease of the mole fraction of CO2 in the fluid equilibrated with the minerals.  相似文献

Summary A new approach for deriving kinetic parameters of diffusion-controlled metamorphic reactions is described. It is based on comparison of models of temperature field evolution near a cylindrical intrusion and observable chemical changes in biotite at the contact aureole of the Kharlovo massif. Unlike other methods used to construct quantitative models of reactions which produce distinctly expressed zoned microtextures, the proposed approach allows better understanding of the processes occurring in texture-homogeneous rocks, where complete consumption of some reactant mineral phases prevent accurate reconstruction of the metamorphic process. The calculations yielded estimates of the effective rates of metamorphic reactions (10−12 s−1) and the effective diffusion coefficient (5.29 × 10−16 cm2 s−1). These values are consistent with experimentally and theoretically derived estimates of solid-state diffusion, including grain-boundary diffusion.
Zusammenfassung Inverse Modellierung zur Bestimmung kinetischer Parameter diffusionskontrollierter metamorpher Reaktionen in der Kontaktaureole von Kharlovo (Südsibirien, Ru?land) Ein neuer Ansatz zur Herleitung kinetischer Parameter diffusionskontrollierter metamorpher Reaktionen wird beschrieben. Er basiert auf einem Vergleich der Modelle für die Temperaturentwicklung um eine zylindrische Intrusion mit beobachtbaren ?nderungen im Chemismus von Biotit in der Kontaktaureole des Kharlovo Massivs. Im Unterschied zu anderen Methoden, die quantitative Modelle von Reaktionen mit deutlich zonierten Mikrotexturen verwenden, erlaubt dieser Ansatz ein besseres Verst?ndnis der Prozesse in texturell homogenen Gesteinen, in denen die vollst?ndige Reaktion einiger Reaktanden (Mineralphasen) sonst die Rekonstruktion des Metamorphoseprozesses verhindert. Die Berechnungen erlauben eine Absch?tzung der metamorphen Reaktionsraten und des effektiven Diffusionskoeffizienten . Diese Werte sind mit experimentell und theoretisch ermittelten Werten der Diffusion in Festk?rpern, einschlie?lich der Diffusion entlang von Korngrenzen, konsistent.

Petrogeochemical and geochronological study of boudined quartzite sandstones and tonalites, as well as host amphibolites, in the shear zone showed that potential sources of detrital zircons were Neoarchean–Paleoproterozoic rocks of the Angara–Kan block and products of their metamorphism. Interpretation of the available data does not confirm the inferred presence of the Early Precambrian basement of the Siberian Craton in the Transangara region.  相似文献

The results of numerical mathematical modeling of rock deformations under compression are given. The numerical solutions are obtained using discretization of the equations of the solid mechanics with the finite element method. The model of an ideal elastic-plastic material with a Huber-Mises yield surface was used in the calculations. The layered medium structure is taken into account in modeling of the compression of layers of the lower/middle crust on a local scale. The natural folds in strongly deformed metamorphic sequences were reproduced by the mathematical deformation models. It is shown that folding in the lower part of the Earth’s crust is possible, when the yield stresses of the host rocks are approximately two orders of magnitude less than those of the hard layers. The effect of the boundary conditions and thickness of the compressed rocks on the folding is shown.  相似文献

Geological, petrologic, geochemical, and isotopic geochronological evidence for Grenville events at the western margin of the Siberian Craton are considered. These events were related to assembly of the Rodinia supercontinent. Multiple manifestations of riftogenic and within-plate magmatism at the final stage of orogenic evolution gave rise to breakdown of Rodinia and the formation of the Paleoasian ocean. The results allowed us to develop a new concept on the Precambrian geological evolution of the Yenisei Ridge and the processes that created its tectonic structure. The chronological sequence of events in the history of the Transangarian Yenisei Ridge is based on geological evidence and isotopic dating of Precambrian complexes variable in geodynamic nature. Four tectonic stages dated at 1.4?1.1, 1.1?0.9, 0.90?0.85, and 0.8?0.6 Ga were controlled by collision and extension recognized from large regional linear crustal structural elements. The evolution of the Transangarian Yenisei Ridge, which lasted for ~650 Ma, corresponds in duration to supercontinental cycles that begin from rifting and breakdown of the predated supercontinent and was completed by orogeny and the formation of a new supercontinent. The regional geodynamic history correlates with the synchronous sequence and similar style of tectonothermal events at the periphery of the large Precambrian Laurentia and Baltica cratons. This is evidenced by paleocontinental reconstructions, which confirm close spatiotemporal links of Siberia with cratons in the northern Atlantic 1400?600 Ma ago and indicate incorporation of the Siberian Craton into the ancient Nuna and Rodinia supercontinents.  相似文献

The age of the latest impulse of dynamometamorphic structural-compositional transformations (603–615 Ma) was established from the 40Ar-39Ar age of micas from balstomilonites of the Garevka metamorphic complex of the Yenisei Ridge confined to the Priyenisei shear zone. The age of these tectonic-thermal events marks the final stage of the Neoproterozoic evolution of the Yenisei Ridge related to the accretion of the Isakovka terrane to the western margin of the Siberian Craton. These results are in agreement with the age of metamorphic rocks of northwestern Prisayany, which are incorporated into the Sayany-Yenisei accretionary belt along with Yenisei Ridge. The conformable data on two regions indicate a global Vendian accretionary-collision event, which led to the formation of the Sayany-Yenisei accretionary belt, lateral thickening of the continental crust to the southwestern margin of the Siberian Craton, and its subsequent tectonic reworking. The synchronous Vendian orogenesis and consequence of the tectonic-thermal events along the periphery of the large Precambrian cratons of the Baltic and Siberia confirm their close spatial relation about 800 Ma ago, which agrees with contemporary paleomagnetic reconstructions.  相似文献
