The results of comprehensive hydrophysical studies of gradient and density-induced gravitational currents with thermal stratification in valley reservoirs are considered. The lengthwise and vertical development of currents as well as their evolution is considered. Local swells are detected in the near-bed nepheloid layer and clouds of suspended materials are found to be ejected from the density-induced current near abrupt changes in the bed relief. The near-bed density-induced current is found to strongly interact with the drift current in the presence of inner wave and variable-direction wind. The measured vertical profiles of velocity in the sections along the axis of the current and the longitudinal distributions of the average flow velocity and suspended material concentration are found to agree with model calculations.  相似文献

Clastic gold in the Cenozoic sediments of the Ural Foredeep is referred to the apron and aureole dynamic types of alluvial placers, which are formed at a distance of 10–30 km from their sources. The gold grains vary appreciably in size and chemical composition of individuals and are characterized by good round-ness and high degree of alluvial refining. It is suggested that endogenic gold occurrences in mountainous regions of the Polar and Subpolar Urals were the main sources of clastic gold grains.  相似文献

Using the method of pyrolysis—gas chromatography, the composition of fluid inclusions in Brazilian carbonado and associating monocrystalline diamonds were investigated for the first time. Temperature trends were obtained for the composition of the released gas phase; based on this data, it was concluded that the diamonds include two generations of inclusions: those decrepitating at temperatures below 500°C and above 500°C. It was found that the fluid released from carbonado at high temperatures is anomalously enriched in carbon monoxide, which is strongly different from the characteristics of both the products of intracrustal mineral, rock, and ore formation and the results of crust—mantle interaction.  相似文献

The paper presents newly obtained data on the mineralogical and geochemical characteristics of Ukrainian endogenic and supergenic diamonds, including pioneering data on the carbon isotopic composition of individual diamond crystals. The endogenic diamonds occur as euhedral microcrystals (their morphology varies from octahedral to rhombododecahedral and cubic) with broadly varying concentrations of the structural nitrogen admixture and with mostly low aggregation of nitrogen centers. According to their carbon isotopic composition, Ukrainian diamonds range from kimberlitic–lamproitic to metamorphic and even carbonado-like, i.e., are polygenetic. Our data confirm the earlier conclusion that the supergenic diamonds are of impact genesis.  相似文献

The particles of native aluminum that were extracted from ejecta of the 1988 Klyuchevskoi eruption were found to contain numerous inclusions of ultramicrodiamonds of the cuboctahedral habitus. We discuss the results of X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray structural, and spectroscopic studies of minerals that support the previous inference as to electric-shock–stimulated crystallization of diamonds from volcanic gases.  相似文献
