The 4th Kilian Group meeting (Dijon, France, 30th August 2010) focused on the Aptian and Albian Stages. For the Aptian, a two-fold division of the stage was adopted for the Mediterranean area with a boundary between the Dufrenoyia furcata and Epicheloniceras martini Zones. The main changes to the zonal scheme concern the Lower Aptian with: the introduction of a Deshayesites luppovi Subzone in the upper part of the Deshayesites oglanlensis Zone; the replacement of Deshayesites weissi by Deshayesites forbesi as new index-species of the second interval zone; the introduction of a Roloboceras hambrovi Subzone in the upper part of the D. forbesi Zone; and the subdivision of the D. furcata Zone into the D. furcata and Dufrenoyia dufrenoyi Subzones. For the Albian, the upper part of the Douvilleiceras mammillatum Zone (Lower Albian) is now characterized by a Lyelliceras pseudolyelli Subzone. The main amendments concern the Upper Albian. The base of this substage is defined by the base of the Dipoloceras cristatum Zone. Above it, the Upper Albian zonal scheme comprises in stratigraphic order the Mortoniceras pricei, Mortoniceras inflatum, Mortoniceras fallax, Mortoniceras rostratum, Mortoniceras perinflatum and Arrhaphoceras briacensis Zones. 相似文献
Four main dinosaur-bearing sites have been investigated in latest Cretaceous deposits from the Amur/Heilongjiang Region: Jiayin and Wulaga in China (Yuliangze Formation) ,Blagoveschensk and Kundur in Rus- sia (Udurchukan Formation) . More than 90% of the bones discovered in these localities belong to hollowcrested lambeosaurine hadrosaurids: Charonosaurus jiayinensis at Jiayin,Amurosaurus riabinini at Blagoveschensk, Olorotitan arharensis at Kundur,and Sahaliyania elunchunorum at Wulaga. Flat-headed hadrosaurine hadrosau- rids are much less numerous,but appear well diversified as well: Kerberosaurus manakini at Blagoveschensk, Wulagasaurus dongi at Wulaga,and a new genus at Kundur. Theropods are represented by shed teeth and isolated bones; isolated scutes and teeth discovered at Kundur are tentatively attributed to nodosaurids. Palynologi- cal studies suggest that these sites are probably synchronous with the Lancian’ vertebrate localities of western North America,which represent the youngest dinosaur faunas in this area. However,the latest Cretaceous dinosaur assemblages are completely different in the Amur/Heilongjiang region (lambeosaurines abundant,ceratopsids absent) and in western North America (ceratopsids abundant,lambeosaurines extremely rare or absent) . This probably reflects some kind of geographical barrier between both areas by Maastrichtian time rather than strong differences in palaeoecological conditions. 相似文献
Gold species spontaneously deposited on pyrite and chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite, galena, sphalerite from HAuCl4 solutions at room temperature, as well as the state of the reacted mineral surfaces have been characterized using synchrotron radiation X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (SR-XPS), scanning tunneling microscopy and tunneling spectroscopy (STM/STS). The deposition of silver from 10−4 M AgNO3 has been examined for comparison. Gold precipitates as metallic nanoparticles (NPs) from about 3 nm to 30 nm in diameter, which tends to aggregate forming larger particles, especially on pyrite. The Au 4f binding energies increase up to 1 eV with decreasing size of individual Au0 NPs, probably due to the temporal charging in the final state. Concurrently, a positive correlation between the tunneling current and the particle size was found in STS. Both these size effects were observed for unusually large, up to 20 nm Au particles. In contrast, silver deposited on the minerals as nanoparticles of semiconducting sulfide showed no shifts of photoelectron lines and different tunneling spectra.The quantity of gold deposited on pyrite and other minerals increased with time; it was lower for fracture surfaces and it grew if minerals were moderately pre-oxidized, while the preliminary leaching in Fe(III)-bearing media inhibited the following Au deposition. After the contact of polished minerals with 10−4 M solution (pH 1.5) for 10 min, the gold uptake changed in the order CuFeS2 > ZnS > PbS > FeAsS > FeS2 > Fe7S8. It was noticed that the open circuit (mixed) potentials of the minerals varied in approximately the same order, excepting chalcopyrite. We concluded that the potentials of minerals were largely determined by Fe(II)/Fe(III) couple, whereas the reduction of gold complexes had a minor effect. As a result, the deposition of gold, although it proceeded via the electrochemical mechanism, increased with decreasing potential. This suggests, in particular, that the accumulation of “invisible” gold in arsenian pyrites and arsenopyrite under hydrothermal conditions may be explained by the low electrochemical potentials but not structural relationships between As and Au in solids. 相似文献
The last half-century has witnessed a proliferation in the use of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes in civil engineering applications. However, little physical data are available to date to assess conformance with performance limits of these pipes subjected to events involving localized ground subsidence. In this study, experimental results are generated and evaluated from a series of physical models involving a buried PVC pipe overlying a localized subsiding bedding zone. Ground subsidence was simulated using a precisely controlled trapdoor system positioned at mid-length of the pipe. A technique including the use of a custom-made displacement transducer was developed as part of this study to facilitate collection of continuous deflection profiles along the axis of the pipes. The progressive development of soil arching was also monitored using earth pressure sensors placed on the top, sides, and at several locations beneath the pipe, both within and beyond the zone of ground subsidence. Strains in the external wall of the pipe were also monitored. The results indicate that significant bending developed in the portion of the pipe traversing the subsidence zone, especially at the pipe crown. Beyond this point, radial deflections of the pipe cross section continued to be detected along the pipe length to distances of approximately four pipe diameters. Ground subsidence induced a severe redistribution of the earth pressures measured in the soil mass surrounding the pipe. A significant increase in vertical soil pressures beneath the pipe was captured within a distance of about one pipe diameter outside the subsidence zone. The overall response of the PVC pipe to localized ground subsidence was found to improve with increasing backfill density and decreasing soil confinement.
Shallow landslides are unforeseeable phenomena often resulting in critical conditions in terms of people’s safety and damage. The main purpose of this paper is the comparison of different statistical methods used to determine the rainfall thresholds for the shallow landslide occurrence. Rainfall data over a 46-year period were collected for one rain gauge located in a test area of northwest Italy (Riviera Spezzina; RS). In the RS, intense rainfalls often induce shallow landslides causing damage and sometimes casualties. The rainfall events occurred in the 1967–2006 period were classified as events inducing shallow landslides (SLEs1967–2006) and events that did not trigger shallow landslides (NSLEs1967–2006). Thresholds for various percentiles of SLEs1967–2006 were computed by identifying the lower limit above which shallow landslides occurred. Another set of thresholds, corresponding to different probabilities of occurrence, was determined using SLEs1967–2006 and NSLEs1967–2006. The least-squares linear fit (LSF) and the quantile regression (QR) techniques were employed in the former approach, while the logistic regression (LR) was applied in the latter. The thresholds were validated with the same data used for their definition and with the data recorded in the 2008–2014 period. Contingency tables were created and contingencies and skill scores were computed. The 10% probability threshold obtained using the LR method is characterized by the best values of at least two skill scores for both periods considered; therefore, it may be considered the “best” threshold for the RS. The results of this work can help the choice of the best statistical method to determine the shallow landslide rainfall thresholds. 相似文献

Stability analysis of agegraphic dark energy in Brans-Dicke theory is presented in this paper. We constrain the model parameters
with the observational data and thus the results become broadly consistent with those expected from experiment. Stability
analysis of the model without best fitting shows that universe may begin from an unstable state passing a saddle point and
finally become stable in future. However, with the best fitted model, There is no saddle intermediate state. The agegraphic
dark energy in the model by itself exhibits a phantom behavior. However, contribution of cold dark matter on the effective
energy density modifies the state of the universe from phantom phase to quintessence one. The statefinder diagnosis also indicates
that the universe leaves an unstable state in the past, passes the LCDM state and finally approaches the sable state in future. 相似文献
More and more littoral surveys are conducted with aerial platform sensor suites that include a hyperspectral pushbroom sensor and a frame camera. However, in some cases, data from auxiliary sensors may contain errors or are not available. For many research groups, a high-accuracy registration of the multi-sensor data relative to each other is essential, while absolute geo-location of each individual measurement is not. A co-registration procedure was developed for pseudo ortho-rectification of the hyperspectral imagery and to remove spatial distortions caused by the aircraft's trajectory during the survey based on a flat-earth assumption. This image-processing approach utilizes the aerial frame imagery as a reference. Each hyperspectral scan line is co-registered into the frame imagery coordinate system. The performance of the procedure was evaluated using hyperspectral imagery collected over northern New Hampshire and southern Maine. The evaluation results showed that the procedure is robust enough to pseudo ortho-rectify hyperspectral imagery over coastal areas and to remove significant spatial distortions. 相似文献
