Sustainable landscape management in Slovenia: Environmental improvements for the Velenje coal mining community 1991–2000

The Velenje area (almost 200 km² with over 31,000 inhabitants) is based on the Šalek Valley, which became a leading area of industrialisation and urbanisation after the Second World War, with consequent pollution problems. Various industrial plants polluted the river Paka while more serious hazards arose through the coal mine which is a still causing landscape subsidence and the thermal power station in the neighbourhood of Šoštanj which is a major source of sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxide pollution. In 1987 there was an ecological protest which marked the beginning of a sustainable development strategy for the community. During the past decade programmes have dealt with the degradation of air, soil and water to achieve cleaner air, a transformation in landuse and enhancement the river's formerly weak self-purifying capabilities. This article examines the changes in the valley since the attention of the authorities was drawn to the deterioration of living conditions. Despite the pressures of transition which have seen unemployment rising to over ten percent, significant environmental improvements have been made and the area stands as a model for the rest of the country. 对胎体材料中添加稀土元素问题进行了试验研究。对添加稀土和未加稀土的胎体性能进行测试，结果表明，添加稀土比未加稀土的胎体材料的抗弯强度、硬度和冲击韧性均有所提高，其中抗弯强度提高了10％－62％，冲击韧性提高了5％。胎体中添加稀土对提高胎体和金刚石碎岩工具的技术经济指标具有重要作用,并且为在胎体材料中实现以Fe代Co创造了有利条件。  相似文献

我国土地沙漠化经过近半个世纪的研究与治理，目前沙漠化土面面积仍然正以每年２４６０ｋｍ＾２的速率扩展，而且还有加速扩大的趋势，这主不要求我们对以生沙漠化的研究治理进行反思，寻找它的症结所在，现代经主要是由于人为过度经济以对资源的坡坏造成的，其根本原因是由于人口压力过大，而沙漠化治理措施恰恰没有从根本上解决这一问题，沙产业理论，将沙漠化的防治和发展经济密切结合起来，为我国的沙漠化防治的经济发展提供了一个崭新的思路和方法。  相似文献   

Fluorine in tourmalines

The determination of the fluorine content of courmalines yielded 0.28% as an average value for schorlites and dravites and 0.97% for elbaites. The plot of the fluorine contents against the lithium contents shows that the distribution of projection points for pink or green elbaites differs from that for lithian indigolites. Tourmalines are poorer in fluorine than lightcoloured micas at the same stage of pegmatite evolution. Individual regions with pegmatite occurrences can be characterized as rich or poor in fluorine according to the fluorine contents in the tourmalines and micas contained in the pegmatites.  相似文献

在发现类星体的方法中,最有效的４ 种方法是：颜色方法,无缝光谱方法,射电方法和Ｘ射线方法。覆盖的波段为：射电波段,光学波段和Ｘ 射线波段。我们将４ 种方法联合在一起,应用于４ 个ＵＫＳｃｈｍｉｄｔ 天区。其目的是尽量减少选择效应,建立更完备的类星体巡天样本。本工作从１００２ 天区入手。已完成了Ｘ 射线选和部分光学选的分光观测工作。发现了一颗Ｂ＝ １５ ．０ 的亮类星体和一个Ｓｅｙｆｅｒｔ 对,其强Ｘ 射线辐射,是迄今首次观测到的。  相似文献
