We present new evidence of infiltration metasomatism in granitoids that were albitized in a process that produced two sharp replacement fronts, both of which are clearly visible in the field. The two fronts advanced through the original granite simultaneously, but at different rates. Here we focus mainly on the Ajitgarh intrusive in the northern Aravalli orogen of northwest India. This intrusion shows geographically well-defined metasomatic zones on the outcrop scale as well as a large volume of original ferroan granite, both of which were poorly preserved in most of the previously studied Khetri granites. Stage I metasomatism transformed the grey original granite to pink microcline–albite granite, and stage II converted the microcline–albite granite to white albite granite. Both these reaction fronts are sharp and are easily recognized in the field by their different colours. The mineralogical and chemical changes during the first stage are expressed by transformation of original oligoclase to albite, biotite (annite-rich) and hastingsite (amphibole) to hastingsite with low XFe values, dehydration, gain in Na, and losses in Fe and Rb. The second stage of metasomatism caused almost complete conversion of microcline to albite and complete or nearly complete disappearance of amphibole. Chemically, these changes are manifested by substantial gain in Na and extreme losses in K, Rb, Ba, Ca, Sr, Fe, and Mg. Depending on the modal abundances of amphibole, stage II albitized rocks are depleted in light rare earth elements or heavy rare earth elements or both, signifying that rare earth elements are principally hosted by mafic phases. The disparity in whole-rock δ18O values during both stages of albitization is related to the variations in modal amounts of Si-bearing phases. The replacement microstructures are in accord with the fluid-mediated phase transformations by a coupled dissolution–precipitation mechanism. The albitizing event took place at low temperatures of 350–400 °C and the fluid was metamorphic in nature.  相似文献

The two brightest hard X-ray sources discovered serendipitously by Chandra in the field of the lensing cluster A2390 are found to have ISOCAM counterparts at 6.7 and 15 μm. We use this fact, together with their non-detection by SCUBA at 850 μm, as the basis for dusty radiative transfer modelling of their infrared spectral energy distributions. For the best-fitting models, we find that the dust that reprocesses the optical–ultraviolet light in these Compton-thin active galactic nuclei (AGN) is heated to near its sublimation temperature (above 1000 K), with an inner radius within a parsec of the nucleus. Some warm-dust models with inner temperatures of 200 K are also formally acceptable. These findings strongly support the obscured AGN hypothesis for the new hard X-ray Chandra sources, which lack both strong emission lines and 850-μm SCUBA detections.  相似文献

Abstract

One-dimensional solute transport, originating from a continuous uniform point source, is studied along unsteady longitudinal flow through a heterogeneous medium of semi-infinite extent. Velocity is considered as directly proportional to the linear spatially-dependent function that defines the heterogeneity. It is also assumed temporally dependent. It is expressed in both the independent variables in degenerate form. The dispersion parameter is considered to be proportional to square of the velocity. Certain new independent variables are introduced through separate transformations to reduce the variable coefficients of the advection–diffusion equation to constant coefficients. The Laplace Transformation Technique (LTT) is used to obtain the desired solution. The effects of heterogeneity and unsteadiness on the solute transport are investigated.

The Proterozoic Sirban Limestone Formation (SLFm) exposed in a number of inliers in Jammu (India), NW Himalaya is a potential target for hydrocarbon and ore mineral exploration. The structural complexity not only makes correlation of the SLFm with coeval hydrocarbon producing Proterozoic formations in the neighbouring Salt Range in Pakistan and elsewhere in the world extremely difficult, but also limits the understanding of the genesis of sedimentary hosted mineral deposits. The base of the SLFm inliers is not exposed anywhere in the region and the age of this sequence has been suggested to range from Palaeoproterozoic to Neoproterozoic.  相似文献

Recently, Bijalwan (Astrophys. Space Sci. doi:, 2011) discussed all important solutions of charged fluid spheres with pressure and Gupta et al. (Astrophys. Space Sci. doi:, 2010) found first closed form solutions of charged Vaidya-Tikekar (V-T) type super-dense star. We extend here the approach evolved by Bijalwan (Astrophys. Space Sci. doi:, 2011) to find all possible closed form solutions of V-T type super-dense stars. The existing solutions of Vaidya-Tikekar type charged fluid spheres considering particular form of electric field intensity are being used to model massive stars. Infact at present maximum masses of the star models are found to be 8.223931M Θ and 8.460857M Θ subject to ultra-relativistic and non-relativistic conditions respectively. But these stars with such are large masses are not well behaved due to decreasing velocity of sound in the interior of star. We present new results concerning the existence of static, electrically charged perfect fluid spheres that have a regular interior. It is observed that electric intensity used in this article can be used to model superdense stars with ultrahigh surface density of the order 2×1014 gm/cm3 which may have maximum mass 7.26368240M Θ for ultra-relativistic condition and velocity of sound found to be decreasing towards pressure free interface. We solve the Einstein-Maxwell equations considering a general barotropic equation of state with pressure. For brevity we don’t present a detailed analysis of the derived solutions in this paper.  相似文献

Rahaman et al. (Astrophys. Space. Sci. 331:191–197, 2010) discussed some classical electron models (CEM) in general relativity. Bijalwan (Astrophys. Space. Sci. 334:139–143, 2011) present a general exact solution of the Einstein-Maxwell equations in terms of pressure. We showed that charged fluid solutions in terms of pressure are not reducible to a well behaved neutral counter part for a spatial component of metrice λ . Hence, these solutions represent an electron model in general relativity. We illustrated solutions in terms of pressure briefly with de-Sitter equation of state and charged analogues of Kohler Chao interior solution as a special cases.  相似文献

We have conducted an extensive observational campaign of SWIFT J1753.5−0127 during 2007 June after its bright outburst episode in 2005. We have performed multiband optical photometry, optical spectroscopy, X-ray spectroscopy and timing and ULTRACAM optical photometry simultaneously in three bands. Both the optical spectrum and the X-ray spectrum along with enhanced brightness in broad-band photometry point to recent increased activity. We analyse the different spectral regions, finding a smooth optical continuum with a remarkable lack of lines and a very blue component modulated with a period of 3.2 h and a hard power-law X-ray spectrum. Both the X-ray and optical power spectra are flat at low frequencies up to the 0.1 Hz (10 s) range, then decreasing roughly as a power law consistent with flickering. Furthermore, the optical data show quasi-periodic oscillations near 0.08 Hz (13 s). Together with a dynamical and autocorrelation analysis of the light curves we attempt to construct a complete physical picture of this intriguing system.  相似文献

Summary The first Indian occurrence of renierite, [Cu10(Cu0.09Zn0.71Fe0.15)0.15Fe4(Ge1.68V0.03-As0.27)1.98]16.93S16.08 is reported from the Cu-rich basal zone of the polymetallic deposit at Rajpura-Dariba. Optical, X-ray and electron microprobe data on the mineral are compared with those from other occurrences. A slight excess of the iron content compared with the formula Cu10(Zn1–x Cu x )(Ge2–x As x )Fe4S16 ofBernstein (1986) and noticeable differences between Cu-coefficient (in brackets) and As-coefficient are obtained. The substitution scheme in renierite may be more complicated than that suggested byBernstein (1986), and apparently also includes the substitution Cu Zn Fe together with As Ge.

Zusammenfassung Das erste indische Vorkommen von Renierit [Cu10(Cu0.09Zn0.71Fe0.15)0.15Fe4(Ge1.68V0.03As0.27)1.98]16.93S16.08 wird mitgeteilt; dieses liegt in der Kupfer-reichen liegenden Zone der polymetallischen Lagerstätte von Rajpura-Dariba. Optische, Röntgen- und Mikrosondendaten dieses Minerals werden mit solchen von anderen Vorkommen verglichen. Ein leichter Überschuß des Eisengehaltes verglichen mit der Formel Cu10(Zn1–x Cu x )(Ge2–x As x )Fe4S16 vonBernstein (1986) und Unterschiede zwischen dem Cu-Koeffizient (in Klammer) und dem As-Koeffizient wurden festgestellt. Die Art der Substitution in Renierit dürfte komplizierter sein als vonBernstein (1986) vorgeschlagen. Die Substitution Cu Zn Fe zusammen mit As scheint hier eine Rolle zu spielen.

Multi temporal dat acquired at different growth stages increases the dimensionality information content and have advantage over single date data for crop classification. Attempt was made to select suitable single date and combination of multidate data for wheat crop classification in Nalanda district of Bihar state where pulses and other crops are also grown in rabi season. Amongst the single date data February data was found to be better for wheat classification in comparison to November. January, March and April data. Combination of first two principal components each derived from IRS LISS-I four band data acquired in January and February was found to be the best set. Wheat classification accuracy achieved was 94.54 percent.  相似文献
