The seismic response analysis of a base-isolated liquid storage tank on a half-space was examined using a coupling method that combines the finite elements and boundary elements. The coupled dynamic system that considers the base isolation system and soil–structure interaction effect is formulated in time domain to evaluate accurately the seismic response of a liquid storage tank. Finite elements for a structure and boundary elements for liquid are coupled using equilibrium and compatibility conditions. The base isolation system is modeled using the biaxial hysteretic element. The homogeneous half-space is idealized using the simple spring-dashpot model with frequency-independent coefficients. Some numerical examples are presented to demonstrate accuracy and applicability of the developed method.Consequently, a general numerical algorithm that can analyze the dynamic response of base-isolated liquid storage tanks on homogeneous half-space is developed in three-dimensional coordinates and dynamic response analysis is performed in time domain.  相似文献

将波动-CISK(积云对流加热反馈)、海-气相互作用和蒸发-风反馈都引入一个简单理论模式,研究了他们在驱动热带大气季节内振荡(ISO)中的作用。其结果表明:波动-CISK在减慢激发波的位相速度以接近观测到的热带ISO的移速过程中起主要作用;而蒸发-风反馈的主要作用是使激发波不稳定;海-气相互作用在减慢激发波的移速方面也有一定作用。因此,波动-CISK和蒸发-风反馈可认为是热带ISO的主要动力学机制。本研究还表明,由于蒸发-风反馈和海-气相互作用的影响,激发波是一种频散波,这种频散性可以更好地解释热带大气中ISO的活动特征。  相似文献

This paper presents a calculation method of derivatives of natural frequencies and mode shapes to parameters affecting vertical hull girder vibration based on design sensitivity analysis. The method premises free vibration analysis of hull girder using the transfer matrix method. Governing sensitivity equation is derived from the direct differentiation of state vector and transfer matrix to design variables. Derivatives of natural frequencies and mode shapes are determined after two trial calculations of the equation. By using the obtained derivatives, the changes of natural frequencies can be rationally and efficiently predicted in case of ship design modification and loading variation.  相似文献

This study proposes a drag reduction device that uses three ribbons attached 120 degree apart to vertical pipes. Experiments were conducted in a circulating water channel to investigate the effects of the ribbon length and the direction of the flow on various current velocities. Drag on a vertical cylinder was measured by a resistance dynamometer. Flow visualizations were conducted using laser sheet beams. Laser Doppler Velocimetry (LDV) was used to measure the velocity field in the wake. This experiment demonstrates that attached ribbons can be used to reduce the drag force on vertical pipes for various directions of incoming flows. The ribbon-type device is very simple and easy to fabricate for field applications. The results are promising for the application to offshore structures.  相似文献

Numerical and laboratory experiments are performed to investigate characteristics of the Bragg reflection due to multi-arrayed trapezoidal submerged breakwaters. The numerical model is based on the Reynolds averaged Navier–Stokes equations with the VOF method and the k–ε turbulence closure model. As expected, the reflection coefficients increase as the array of submerged breakwaters increases in both laboratory measurements and numerical results. The resonant periods provide similar relative wave numbers regardless of the permeability and the number of arrays. The reflection coefficients due to porous breakwaters are smaller than those due to non-porous breakwaters. The velocity contours for two and three arrays are also described.  相似文献

Estimation-Before-Modeling (EBM) technique (or the two-step method) is a system identification method that estimates parameters in a dynamic model. Given sea trial data, the extended Kalman filter and modified Bryson–Frazier smoother can be used to estimate motion variables, hydrodynamic force, and the speed and the direction of current. And using these estimated data, we can use the ridge regression method to estimate the hydrodynamic coefficients in a model. An identifiable state space model is constructed in case that current effect is included and the maneuvering characteristics of a ship are analyzed by correlation analysis. To better identify hydrodynamic coefficients, we suggest the sub-optimal input scenario that considers the D-optimal criterion. Finally, the algorithm is confirmed against real sea trial data of 113K tanker.  相似文献

The Sea Prince accident was the first VLCC accident in Korea and a shock to the general public and government. Before the accident, any oil-spill management plan, such as National contingency plan (NCP) and regional contingency plans (RCPs), was not available and the resources for oil spills were lacking for the Sea Prince accident. About 5000 tons of oil spilled, polluting large areas of southern coastal waters, damaging the fisheries, including aquaculture. After the Sea Prince accident, Korea's government established various alternatives for dealing with oil spills, such as the NCP, RCPs, Typhoon Refuge Management Plan, and resources for oil-spill response. However, port safety management in emergency situations such as typhoons has not been solved.  相似文献

CSRs (Common Structural Rules for bulker and tanker), which came into effect in 2006, invoke the concept of the ultimate strength of hull girders. While numerous studies associated with the ultimate capacities regarding global hull girders and stiffened panels have been carried out, there are few application cases of the ultimate strengths for deck machineries and their supporting structures. In the present study, nonlinear finite element analyses have been performed to obtain ultimate capacities for a size 450 DIN type bollard including hull foundation structures for which elastic strength assessments based on allowable stress analyses were jointly carried out by a Mooring Fitting SWL Standardization Committee consisting of four major Korean shipbuilders (DSME, HHI, HHIC, and SHI) in 2003. The plastic hardening property is identified from a comparison of the results of ultimate strength simulations and a bollard tension tests performed by the committee. It is assumed that the ultimate load is the corresponding load point when the deformation slope of the bollard column reaches the critical slip angle. It is concluded that the reinforcements appear to be effective with respect to the allowable stress criterion, but are not substantially effective from the point of view of ultimate capacities. In other words, structural reinforcements based on allowable stress analyses may noticeably increase production costs, but do not remarkably raise the ultimate capacities.  相似文献

This paper first reviews the physical meanings and the expressions of two representative strain rate models: CSM (Cowper–Symonds model) and JCM (Johnson–Cook model). Since it is known that the CSM and JCM are suitable for low-intermediate and intermediate-high rate ranges, many studies regarding marine accidents such as ship-to-ship collisions, ship-to-rock groundings, and explosions in FPSO have employed the former in particular. A formula to predict the material constant of the CSM is introduced from a literature survey. The validity of the formula is proved by comparing with strain rate test results of high strength marine structural steels of DH-36. Numerical simulations with two different material constitutive equations, the classical metal plasticity model based on the von Mises yield function and the micromechanical porous plasticity model based on the Gurson yield function, have been carried out for stiffened plates under impact loading. It is concluded that the porous plasticity model with the porosity fracture criterion can quantitatively predict plastic deformation process and final fracture under impact loading if the material constants are properly chosen.  相似文献

A simulation of suspended sediment movement relating to tidal and wave forcing during a winter monsoon in November 1983 in the Huanghai and East China Seas continental shelf is attempted by using the model describing the cohesive/non-cohesive sediment resuspension generated by interactions between currents and waves.model simulation showed that sediment concentration was increased by resuspension at shallow depths during the strong storm conditions due to high bottom stress interacted between currents and waves. This result is in general agreement with observations in horizontal distribution of suspended sediment distribution.At three current meter mooring positions off the southern Shandong Peninsula resuspension occurred only at a depth of 22m,nearest coastal position and at deeper parts at depths of 51 and 80m wave-current interaction effects were not significant. It has shown that the present model simulation demonstrated the capability of reproduction of suspended sediment movement under wintertime extreme event reasonably well.  相似文献
