The main data have been summarized, and the results, achieved using data from the worldwide network during the entire period of ground-based observations of solar cosmic rays (SCRs) from February 28, 1942, when they were discovered, have been generalized. The methods and equipment for registering SCRs have been described. The physical, methodical, and applied aspects, related to the SCR generation, as well as the SCR interaction with the solar atmosphere, transport in the IMF, motion in the Earth’s magnetosphere, and the affect on the Earth’s atmosphere, have been discussed. It has been indicated that the fundamental results were achieved in this field of space physics during 70 years of studies. Special attention has been paid to up-to-date models and concepts of ground-level enhancement (GLE). The most promising tendencies in the development and application of this effective method of solar-terrestrial physics have been outlined.  相似文献

Dramatic extensions of experimental possibilities (spacecraft RHESSI, CORONAS-F and others) in solar gamma-ray astronomy call for urgent, detailed theoretical consideration of a set of physical problems of solar activity and solar-terrestrial relationships that earlier may have only been outlined. Here we undertake a theoretical analysis of issues related to the production of gamma-radiation in the processes of interactions of energetic (accelerated) heavy and middle nuclei with the nuclei of the solar atmosphere (the so-called i-j interactions). We also make an estimate of the contribution of these interactions to the formation of nuclear and isotopic abundances of the solar atmosphere in the range of light and rare elements. The analysis is carried out for solar flares in the wide range of their intensities. We compare our theoretical estimates with RHESSI observations for the flare of 2002 July 23. It was shown that the 24Mg gamma-ray emission in this event was produced by the newly generated Mg nucle  相似文献

Analysis of experimental data on the variations in the intensities of 2–12 MeV electrons and cosmic rays and the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) magnitude has revealed “responses” to the influence of Jupiter in these parameters. Their amplitudes, in instrumental count units, are the following: 0.15 (71%) in the electron intensity, 48 (0.8%) in the cosmic-ray intensity, and 0.19 (2.8%) in the IMF magnitude. The maximum of the response in the electron intensity and the minimum of the response in the IMF magnitude coincide and lie near the magnetic field line that runs along the Sun-Earth-Jupiter axis. The minimum of the response in the cosmic-ray intensity is shifted against the solar rotation by 75 days from the magnetic field line connecting Jupiter and the Earth. Jupiter has the strongest influence on the intensity of high-energy electrons (71% of their total intensity).  相似文献
