A total of 2256 specimens of Atherina boyeri caught in Gomishan wetland (a marsh lagoon located at the southeast Caspian Sea) during spawning season from February to August 2007 were examined for life-history attributes. The population has a 4-year life cycle. Length–weight relationship was estimated as W = 0.0053TL3.0181 for males and W = 0.0050TL3.063 for females, being allometrically positive for both sexes. The von Bertalanffy growth function fitted to back-calculated size at age data was: Lt = 155.17[1 − exp − 0.28(t + 0.738)] and Lt = 162.77[1 − exp − 0.27(t + 0.727)] for males and females respectively. The sex ratio was 1:1.30 in favor of females. The reproductive season, evaluated from GSI, extended from March to July, with a peak in March. The average absolute and relative fecundities were 2976 eggs and 874 eggs g−1 of body weight respectively. The diameter of oocytes ranged from 0.03 to 0.20 mm with a mean value of 0.68. The life-history patterns of A. boyeri in the population under study imply that the population of this species in the southeast Caspian Sea differs markedly from those of other localities of its range distribution. The influence of salinity on growth and Cu uptake in the green macroalga Ulva reticulata collected from the intertidal area in the Western Indian Ocean was studied under controlled laboratory conditions. Exposure concentrations ranged from 5 to 500 μg Cu l−1 at five salinities (ranging 20–40). The accumulation of Cu increased with decreasing salinity, so that the uptake at 500 μg Cu l−1 was approximately 2.7, 2.4 and 2.0 times higher at salinities of 20, 25, and 30 respectively, than uptake at salinity of 35, and with uptake being lowest at salinity of 40. Ulva maintained a positive growth rate over the whole salinity range (20–40), with highest rates at salinity of 35. When exposing to Cu at low salinities (20 and 25), the growth rate of Ulva was strongly inhibited suggesting an increase in toxicity of Cu with decreasing salinity. EC50 and NOEC increased with increase in salinity, implying a reduced Cu toxicity at high salinities. It was concluded that salinity needs to be considered when using macroalgae, such as U. reticulata, as a bioindicator of heavy metals in areas with heavy rainfall, underground fresh water intrusion or in estuaries, as they might accumulate more metals and be more negatively affected. 相似文献

为探讨经济褐藻羊栖菜人工幼苗对阳光紫外辐射变化的响应,在全波段阳光辐射省(PAB,280~700nm)、去除UV-B辐射(PA,320~700nm)和光合有效辐射PAR(P,400~700nm)三种辐射处理及不同辐射水平下培养羊栖菜幼苗,并测定了其生长与光合作用的变化。结果表明,无论在紫外辐射(UVR)存在情况下(PA,PAB)还是滤除UVR(PAR)时,高辐射水平条件下(55%),羊栖菜幼苗都具有较高的生长速率,而低辐射水平下羊栖菜的生长速率较低。在不同辐射处理之间,随着辐射水平的增高,UVR的抑制效应逐渐突显。UVR降低羊栖菜幼苗的光合电子传递速率。 相似文献

区域经济增长是有着丰富时空内涵的动态变化过程,认识和定量分析这种动态变化过程一直受到广泛关注。借助农业区位论、增长极理论和梯度推移理论的学术思想、概念和术语,在量化定义区域经济增长空间概念的基础上,提出了基于GIS技术的区域经济增长时空分异模拟方法,进而以京津冀都市圈为例进行实证研究和专业分析。研究结果表明:京津冀都市圈由城市增长极中心向外围,随着距离的增大,经济增长呈现出了显著的衰减特征,不同城市之间存在着明显的经济低谷地带。1993~2003年期间,都市圈的经济增长时空分异尤以京、津两市的极化增长最为显著;京、津两大增长极除对唐山方向有拉动效应外,对其它地市的带动辐射力度尚较小;都市圈内部的城市等级还未完全展开,尚未形成合理的梯度推移和梯级演化结构。 相似文献

实验对褐牙鲆(Paralichthys olivaceus)幼鱼在温度胁迫及温度调整后的生长与能量分配进行了研究。驯养于17.5℃的褐牙鲆幼鱼分别在8.5℃(T8.5),13.0℃(T13.0),17.5℃(T17.5),22.0℃(T22.0)和26.5℃(T26.5)养殖10 d后,除T22.0处理的褐牙鲆幼鱼除以干重表示时与T17.5和T26.5处理差异不显著外,以湿重、蛋白质和能量表示的鱼体重均显著大于其他处理。所有处理调整养殖温度至22.0℃继续养殖,由于不同温度造成的生长差异在30 d内可获得完全补偿。在不同温度养殖期间,摄食量少和分配于生长的能量减少是导致低温处理(T8.5和T13.0)生长慢的主要原因,而T17.5和T26.5生长慢的主要原因是分配在生长的能量较少。低温处理分配于生长的能量较少主要是由于其粪便损失和用于呼吸的能量比例较多,而高温处理则主要是由于排泄损失的能量比例较高导致生长能减少。温度调整后的第2个10 d,T8.5,T13.0,T17.5和T26.5的摄食量都显著比T22.0多,而温度调整后的30 d内不同处理的总摄食量没有显著差异,个体水平上的摄食能在生长、粪便、排泄、呼吸上的分配也没有显著差异。因此,补偿生长的获得主要依靠阶段性的提高摄食量。在温度调整后的30 d内,T8.5,T13.0,T17.5和T26.5的幼鱼单位体重日摄食能和生长能都比T22.0多,表现出明显的补偿生长现象。对于整个实验期间而言,T8.5的幼鱼摄食比其他处理少,但由于其排泄和呼吸损失的能量比例较少,因此分配于生长的能量比例比其他处理略多。养殖在不同温度的褐牙鲆幼鱼会在身体蛋白质和能量含量上产生差异,在实验结束时T8.5和T26.5的能量含量与对照组仍有显著差异。本研究的结果表明褐牙鲆幼鱼对温度变动具有较强的适应能力,短期的温度变动不会对其长期生长产生显著影响。 相似文献

Pseudopterogorgia acerosa is the tallest gorgonian octocoral found in the Caribbean. In the Cartagena area, Colombia, P. acerosa is commonly harvested as raw material for handicrafts, rendering important the study of its growth and population dynamics. Growth measurements of branches from multiple colonies at two different reefs during 1 year revealed that the main growth was due to rapid elongation of the main (‘mother’) branch and production of daughter branches from the same (or just a few) mother branch(es). Some small colonies doubled their original size in a year. The branches’ absolute growth rate was weakly correlated with size, with no significant relationships between branch size and percent growth. While the pinnate branching pattern in P. acerosa is similar to its congeners Pseudopterogorgia elisabethae and Pseudopterogorgia bipinnata, it produces taller colonies due to the faster growth rate in the primordial mother branch. This growth mode seems advantageous as it augments exposure to light and higher fluxes of suspended food in the benthic boundary layer. Post‐harvesting, clipped colonies exhibited clear signs of regeneration, even in cases where only the holdfast remained. Pseudopterogorgia acerosa seems to have similar regeneration capabilities respect to other Pseudopterogorgia species, where regenerating colonies may grow faster than intact ones. 相似文献
