A combined study of zircon morphology, U–Pb ages and Hf isotopes as well as whole‐rock major and trace elements was carried out for ultrahigh‐pressure (UHP) eclogite and felsic gneiss from the main hole (MH) of the Chinese Continental Scientific Drilling (CCSD) project in the Sulu orogen. The results show contrasting Hf isotope compositions for bimodal UHP metaigneous rocks, pointing to contrasting origins for their protoliths (thus dual‐bimodal compositions). The samples of interest were from two continuous core segments from CCSD MH at depths of 734.21–737.16 m (I) and 929.67–932.86 m (II) respectively. Zircon U–Pb dating for four samples from the two core segments yields two groups of ages at 784 ± 17 and 222 ± 3 Ma, respectively, corresponding to protolith formation during supercontinental rifting and metamorphic growth during continental collision. Although the Triassic UHP metamorphism significantly reset the zircon U–Pb system of UHP rocks, the Hf isotope compositions of igneous zircon can be used to trace their protolith origin. Contrasting types of initial Hf isotope ratios are, respectively, correlated with segments I and II, regardless of their lithochemistry. The first type shows positive ?Hf(t) values of 7.8 ± 3.1 to 6.0 ± 3.0, with young Hf model age of 1.03 and 1.11 Ga. The second type exhibits negative ?Hf(t) values of ?6.9 ± 1.6 to ?9.1 ± 1.1, with old Hf model ages of 2.11 and 2.25 Ga. It appears that the UHP rocks from the two segments have protoliths of contrasting origin. Consistent results are also obtained from their trace element compositions suggesting that mid‐Neoproterozoic protoliths of bimodal UHP metaigneous rocks formed during supercontinental rifting at the northern margin of the South China Block. Thus, the first type of bimodal magmatism formed by rapid reworking of juvenile crust, whereas the second type of bimodal magmatism was principally generated by rift anatexis of Paleoproterozoic crust. Melting of orogenic lithosphere has potential to bring about bimodal magmatism with contrasting origins. Because arc–continent collision zones are the best place to accumulate both juvenile and ancient crusts, the contrasting types of bimodal magmatism are proposed to occur in an arc–continent collision orogen during the supercontinental rifting, in response to the attempted breakup of the supercontinent Rodinia at c. 780 Ma. 相似文献

The irregular satellites of Jupiter are believed to be captured asteroids or planetesimals. In the present work is studied
the direction of capture of these objects as a function of their orbital inclination. We performed numerical simulations of
the restricted three-body problem, Sun-Jupiter-particle, taking into account the growth of Jupiter. The integration was made
backward in time. Initially, the particles have orbits as satellites of Jupiter, which has its present mass. Then, the system
evolved with Jupiter losing mass and the satellites escaping from the planet. The reverse of the escape direction corresponds
to the capture direction. The results show that the Lagrangian points L1 and L2 mainly guide the direction of capture. Prograde
satellites are captured through these two gates with very narrow amplitude angles. In the case of retrograde satellites, these
two gates are wider. The capture region increases as the orbital inclination increases. In the case of planar retrograde satellites
the directions of capture cover the whole 360° around Jupiter. We also verified that prograde satellites are captured earlier
in actual time than retrograde ones.

The accelerated Kepler problem (AKP) is obtained by adding a constant acceleration to the classical two-body Kepler problem.
This setting models the dynamics of a jet-sustaining accretion disk and its content of forming planets as the disk loses linear
momentum through the asymmetric jet-counterjet system it powers. The dynamics of the accelerated Kepler problem is analyzed
using physical as well as parabolic coordinates. The latter naturally separate the problem’s Hamiltonian into two unidimensional
Hamiltonians. In particular, we identify the origin of the secular resonance in the AKP and determine analytically the radius
of stability boundary of initially circular orbits that are of particular interest to the problem of radial migration in binary
systems as well as to the truncation of accretion disks through stellar jet acceleration. 相似文献

Equations of motion, referred to as full body models, are developed to describe the dynamics of rigid bodies acting under
their mutual gravitational potential. Continuous equations of motion and discrete equations of motion are derived using Hamilton’s
principle. These equations are expressed in an inertial frame and in relative coordinates. The discrete equations of motion,
referred to as a Lie group variational integrator, provide a geometrically exact and numerically efficient computational method
for simulating full body dynamics in orbital mechanics; they are symplectic and momentum preserving, and they exhibit good
energy behavior for exponentially long time periods. They are also efficient in only requiring a single evaluation of the
gravity forces and moments per time step. The Lie group variational integrator also preserves the group structure without
the use of local charts, reprojection, or constraints. Computational results are given for the dynamics of two rigid dumbbell
bodies acting under their mutual gravity; these computational results demonstrate the superiority of the Lie group variational
integrator compared with integrators that are not symplectic or do not preserve the Lie group structure. 相似文献

We study the stability of motion in the 3-body Sitnikov problem, with the two equal mass primaries (m
1 = m
2 = 0.5) rotating in the x, y plane and vary the mass of the third particle, 0 ≤ m
3 < 10−3, placed initially on the z-axis. We begin by finding for the restricted problem (with m
3 = 0) an apparently infinite sequence of stability intervals on the z-axis, whose width grows and tends to a fixed non-zero value, as we move away from z = 0. We then estimate the extent of “islands” of bounded motion in x, y, z space about these intervals and show that it also increases as |z| grows. Turning to the so-called extended Sitnikov problem, where the third particle moves only along the z-axis, we find that, as m
3 increases, the domain of allowed motion grows significantly and chaotic regions in phase space appear through a series of
saddle-node bifurcations. Finally, we concentrate on the general 3-body problem and demonstrate that, for very small masses, m
3 ≈ 10−6, the “islands” of bounded motion about the z-axis stability intervals are larger than the ones for m
3 = 0. Furthermore, as m
3 increases, it is the regions of bounded motion closest to z = 0 that disappear first, while the ones further away “disperse” at larger m
3 values, thus providing further evidence of an increasing stability of the motion away from the plane of the two primaries,
