Sampling the collected suspension in a storage tank is a common procedure to obtain soil loss data. A calibration curve of the tank has to be used to obtain actual concentration values from those measured by sampling. However, literature suggests that using a tank calibration curve was not a common procedure in the past. For the clay soil of the Sparacia (Italy) experimental station, this investigation aimed to establish a link between the relative performances of the USLE‐M and USLE‐MM models, usable to predict plot soil loss at the event temporal scale, and soil loss measurement errors. Using all available soil loss data, lower soil loss prediction errors were obtained with the USLE‐MM (exponent of the erosivity term, b1 > 1) than the USLE‐M (b1 = 1). A systematic error of the soil loss data is unexpected for the Sparacia soil because the calibration curve does not depend on the water level in the tank. In any case, this type of error does not have any effect on the b1 exponent. Instead, this exponent decreases as the level of underestimation increases for increasing soil loss values. This type of error can occur at Sparacia if it is assumed that a soil loss measurement can be obtained by a bottle sampler dipped close to the bottom of the tank after mixing the suspension and assuming that the measured concentration coincides with the actual one. In this case, the risk is to obtain a lower b1 value than the actual one. In conclusion, additional investigations on the factors determining errors in soil loss data collected by a sampling procedure are advisable because these errors can have a noticeable effect on the calibrated empirical models for soil loss prediction.  相似文献

In this study, numerical prediction of surges associated with a storm was made through the method of lines (MOL) in coordination with the newly proposed RKARMS (4, 4) method for the meghna estuarine region, along the coast of Bangladesh. For this purpose, the vertically integrated shallow water equations (SWEs) in Cartesian coordinates were firstly transformed into ordinary differential equations (ODEs) of initial valued, which were then soloved using the new RKARMS (4, 4) method. Nested grid technique was employed for resolving the complexities of the region of interest with minimum cost. Fresh water discharge through the lower Meghna River was taken into account along the north east corner of the innermost child scheme. Numerical experiments were performed with the severe cyclone on April 1991 that crossed the coast over the study area. Simulated results by the study were found to be in good agreement with some reported data and were found to compare well with the results obtained by the MOL in addition with the classical 4th order Runge-Kutta (RK (4, 4)) method and the standard finite difference method (FDM).  相似文献

A novel efficient track initiation method is proposed for the harsh underwater target tracking environment (heavy clutter and large measurement errors): track splitting, evaluating, pruning and merging method (TSEPM). Track initiation demands that the method should determine the existence and initial state of a target quickly and correctly. Heavy clutter and large measurement errors certainly pose additional difficulties and challenges, which deteriorate and complicate the track initiation in the harsh underwater target tracking environment. There are three primary shortcomings for the current track initiation methods to initialize a target: (a) they cannot eliminate the turbulences of clutter effectively; (b) there may be a high false alarm probability and low detection probability of a track; (c) they cannot estimate the initial state for a new confirmed track correctly. Based on the multiple hypotheses tracking principle and modified logic-based track initiation method, in order to increase the detection probability of a track, track splitting creates a large number of tracks which include the true track originated from the target. And in order to decrease the false alarm probability, based on the evaluation mechanism, track pruning and track merging are proposed to reduce the false tracks. TSEPM method can deal with the track initiation problems derived from heavy clutter and large measurement errors, determine the target’s existence and estimate its initial state with the least squares method. What''s more, our method is fully automatic and does not require any kind manual input for initializing and tuning any parameter. Simulation results indicate that our new method improves significantly the performance of the track initiation in the harsh underwater target tracking environment.  相似文献

将高斯过程方法应用到精密卫星钟差加密中,通过选择合适的核函数,将5 min间隔的钟差数据插值到30 s间隔。将结果与IGS提供的30 s精密钟差数据和四阶多项式拟合插值方法得到的结果进行比较,结果表明,高斯过程方法具有较高的加密精度,适用于GPS所有在轨卫星的原子钟钟差的加密,达到厘米级精度。  相似文献

通过引入流依赖的集合预报误差,使得同化分析与天气形势紧密相关,是改善初值分析质量的重要途径。文中在GRAPES(Global Regional Assimilation and PrEdiction System)全球四维变分资料同化(4DVar)中研究了如何有效应用集合预报误差,包括增加扩展控制变量时如何降低其计算消耗以及如何在局地化过程中保持不同变量之间的动力平衡。利用高斯分布的谱滤波实现水平局地化,利用垂直正交经验函数分解实现垂直局地化,并采用前8个主导特征模态来限制控制变量空间维数增加。引入20至180个集合样本,在水平二维局地化情形下,控制变量总数的增长可以限制在1.1—1.8倍,而在三维局地化情形下,控制变量总数的增长限制在1.7—7.1倍。对60个集合样本和1°水平分辨率内循环,4DVar引入扩展控制变量后墙钟时间增加了约30%。进一步,通过采用在非平衡分析变量上进行水平局地化,然后再将风压地转平衡关系重新叠加到非平衡分析变量上,使得分析更好地保持了风压平衡关系,初始场地面气压倾向变化减小。此外,虽然垂直局地化对分析平衡影响较大,但依靠目标函数中的数字滤波弱约束,分析变量之间仍能较好满足动力平衡关系。结果表明,GRAPES全球4DVar中发展的增加扩展控制变量、谱滤波实现水平局地化、非平衡分析变量进行水平局地化等有效应用集合预报误差的方法,适合集合样本数超过100个的情况,在分析质量改善的同时,4DVar系统的计算和存储消耗没有显著增加。   相似文献

传统的地形变化检测方法忽略了DEM误差的空间自相关性,针对此问题,本文提出了顾及DEM误差空间自相关的地形变化检测方法。首先,通过2期DEM相减得到差值DEM(DoD),并通过蒙特卡罗方法评估DEM的误差空间分布;其次,基于DEM误差空间分布图,通过误差传播公式计算DoD误差,并使用半变异函数分析其空间自相关程度;最后,在误差空间自相关分析和显著性检测的基础上计算地形变化量(体积)和对应的误差限。本文在4个黄土小流域进行了实验,结果表明:无人机摄影测量DEM的高程误差存在一定程度的空间自相关,通过光束平差蒙特卡罗方法可以模拟无人机摄影测量DEM的误差空间分布;在进行地形变化检测时,使用误差空间分布代替中误差进行地形变化检测有效降低了检测结果对显著性阈值的敏感性;显著性阈值从68%提高到95%时,使用误差空间分布的检测结果损失的观测值比使用中误差低5.39%~6.75%。顾及空间自相关的地形变化检测方法能够更加科学、精确地量化地形变化特征,也可有效地应用于地表变形监测、流域侵蚀监测、输沙量评估等领域。  相似文献
