The small leucogranite plutons occurring in linear belts in the Higher Himalayas have formed due to post-collision partial melting within the Himalayan crust. Several studies have documented that the Sr isotopic ratios in the granite bodies show chaotic variation and meaningful Rb-Sr isochron ages are difficult, if not impossible, to obtain. In tectonically overthickened crust, the depth-temperature profile (geotherm) remains strongly transient for the first tens of millions of years. It is proposed here that the intersecting relations between the transient geotherms and activity-dependent solidus/melting curves may generate small pods of magma at different depths and at different times. Each of these pods will have its unique Sr isotopic ratios. Coalescence of these small pods of magma without any effective homogenization due to deformation-induced fast segregation, ascent and emplacement may lead to pluton-wide extreme heterogeneity in Sr isotopic ratios.  相似文献

Geochronological data, major and trace element abundances, Nd and Sr isotope ratios, δ18O whole rock values and Pb isotope ratios from leached feldspars are presented for garnet-bearing granites (locality at Oetmoed and outcrop 10 km north of Omaruru) from the Damara Belt (Namibia). For the granites from outcrop 10 km N′ Omaruru, reversely discordant U–Pb monazite data give 207Pb/235U ages of 511±2 Ma and 517±2 Ma, similar to previously published estimates for the time of regional high grade metamorphism in the Central Zone. Based on textural and compositional variations, garnets from these granites are inferred to be refractory residues from partial melting in the deep crust. Because PT estimates from these xenocrystic garnets are significantly higher (800°C/9–10 kbar) than regional estimates (700°C/5 kbar), the monazite ages are interpreted to date the peak of regional metamorphism in the source of the granites. Sm–Nd garnet–whole rock ages are between 500 and 490 Ma indicating the age of extraction of the granites from their deep crustal sources. For the granites from Oetmoed, both Sm–Nd and Pb–Pb ages obtained on igneous garnets range from 500 to 490 Ma. These ages are interpreted as emplacement ages and are significantly younger than the previously proposed age of 520 Ma for these granites based on Rb/Sr whole rock age determinations. Major and trace element compositions indicate that the granites are moderately to strongly peraluminous S-type granites. High initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios (>0.716), high δ18O values of >13.8‰, negative initial Nd values between −4 and −7 and evolved Pb isotope ratios indicate formation of the granites by anatexis of mid-crustal rocks similar to the exposed metapelites into which they intruded. The large range of Pb isotope ratios and the lack of correlation between Pb isotope ratios and Nd and Sr isotope ratios indicate heterogeneity of the involved crustal rocks. Evidence for the involvement of isotopically highly evolved lower crust is scarce and the influence of a depleted mantle component is unlikely. The crustal heating events that produced these granites might have been caused by crustal thickening and thrusting of crustal sheets enriched in heat-producing elements. Very limited fluxing of volatiles from underthrust low- to medium-grade metasedimentary rocks may have also been a factor in promoting partial melting. Furthermore, delamination of the lithospheric mantle and uprise of hot mantle could have caused localized high-T regions. The presence of coeval A-type granites at Oetmoed that have been derived at least in part from a mantle source supports this model.  相似文献

在中国西南和东南亚领域内存在一条南北延伸的花岗岩岩基带,滇西的临沧岩体(LG)和平和街岩体(PMG)是这一巨型同碰撞岩基带最北段的二个岩体,出露面积共约11000平方公里。具壳源(S型)花岗岩许多特征。根据Sr、Nd同位素的上陆壳一下陆壳两端员混合摸拟,这两个岩体的源区岩石相当于由70—80%上陆壳物质加上20—30%的下陆壳物质构成的混合物。根据Rb、Sr、Rb/Sr等微量元素和微量元素对比值在部分熔融中的行为,计算了这一源区物质约30—35%的部分熔融形成当时的平和街和临沧岩体的初始岩浆。  相似文献

A method is proposed for adjusting the mass balance to characterize quantitatively the behaviour of minerals in anatexis. The method is based on an unconstrained simple mixing model that can be expressed as: where B , A 0, and A 1-n, are compositional vectors of segregate, source rock and source minerals, respectively. The most important concepts are: (1) degree of partial fusion: FMM= 1/a0; (2) mineral fractionation index: and (3) plagioclase differentiation index: . For a given mineral, the MFI values have the following meaning: (a) MFI <0: residual phase originated, at least partly, as a product of incongruent melting; (b) 0 > MFI <1: preferential retention in the residue; (c) MFI= 1: identical modal fraction in source and melt; (d) a0 > MFI > 1: preferential incorporation into the segregate, and (e) MFI > a0: external contribution to the anatectic system defined by a0 A 0. To test the method and illustrate its use, it was applied to two real problems of partial melting in the Peña Negra Anatectic Complex (Central Spain). The first is a very simple case of segregation of a diktyonitic neosome from an orthogneiss through partial melting located in vertical shear zones. This process is characterized by: (1) FMM= 0.51; (2) active incorporation of K-feldspar, plagioclase and biotite into the segregate; (3) disequilibrium melting of plagioclase; (4) residual behaviour of quartz and ilmenite. The second case concerns the formation of a cordierite-bearing granite from granodioritoid diatexites through an anatectic process, whose most salient characteristics are: (1) FMM= 0.45; (2) incongruent melting of biotite; (3) residual behaviour of plagioclase, which melted with a PDI of 1.22; (4) preferential incorporation of quartz into the segregate; (5) total extraction of K-feldspar from the residue.  相似文献

华北地块南缘太古宙登封花岗-绿岩地体和太华高级片麻岩地体中的英云闪长-奥氏花岗质和花岗闪长质灰色片麻岩多占据背斜核部或穹窿部位,它们是多期侵入的复合岩体。灰色片麻岩与表壳岩中的拉斑玄武岩构成双峰式岩套,属高Al_2O_3型,随岩浆演化,表现了Na_2O/K_2O,K/Rb比值逐渐降低,Rb/Sr比值升高的地球化学趋势,其LREE富集,HREE亏损U(Ce/Yb)_N=10—25]和Eu呈正异常。经模拟计算,登封灰色片麻岩是由石英榴辉岩约10—35%部分熔融形成,而石英榴辉岩系绿岩带中拉斑玄武岩的转变产物。太华灰色片麻岩可能由富含REE的母岩的部分熔融形成。  相似文献

西藏新疆超镁铁岩是上地幔局部熔融的产物。超镁铁岩在矿物成分上的演化表现为两个平行的演化系列:一是随各亚类岩石的递变,硅酸盐矿物的100Mg,(Mg+Fe~(2+))值递增,即硅酸盐矿物向富镁方向演化;二是副矿物铬尖晶石的100Cr/(Cr+Al)值相应递增,向富铬方向演化;上述演化趋势与岩浆分异演化趋势相反。在组构上则由原粒结构向熔融残余、后成合晶,碎斑结构,然后递变为等粒镶嵌;板状镶嵌结构。二辉橄榄岩的熔融实验资料清楚表明、阿尔卑斯超镁铁岩的演化乃是地幔岩熔融的结果。各亚类岩石代表了不同程度的局部熔融,岩体所显示的上部偏基性,下部偏酸性的垂直分带实属地幔岩的熔融分带。  相似文献

以粉末样品的熔融实验为基础的花岗岩体系相平衡理论,在花岗岩成因研究方面具有一的局限性。天然花岗岩块关样品的熔融实验表明,赋存于矿物颗粒间的熔体成主主要受控于不同矿物边界的局部熔融体系。较低温条件下的熔体基本属于花岗岩体系的低熔点成分,而较高温度下的熔体则远离同熔线转变为非平衡熔体。  相似文献

8411地区深熔作用的同位素地质研究表明,J_(1-2)砂岩是以元古代古陆壳供源的湖相沉积岩、岩浆岩为元古代古陆在下地壳局部重熔或重熔-混染的产物。铀的预富集与深熔作用中硅铝质地壳岩浆混染有关。铀矿物和岩浆岩的同位素组成相似。这些研究结果,结合岩石学、矿物学、同位素演化和稀土含量分析,认识到铀来自深源,元古代地层是铀源层。  相似文献
