U–Pb dating of zircons from thin middle Permian tuffs in the Canning Basin of Western Australia by chemical abrasion-isotope dilution thermal ionisation mass spectrometry reveals a conflict with the established spore-pollen zonation. Normally, the first appearance datum of Dulhuntyispora granulata across the continent lies stratigraphically above assemblages assigned to the Microbaculispora villosa Zone. However, the youngest tuffs within non-marine facies from the M. villosa Zone in Pittston SD-1, drilled in the southwest of the Canning Basin, yielded an age of 267.04 ± 0.14 Ma, which is 1.7 million years younger than tuffs associated with the D. granulata Zone in marginal-marine facies from core holes 350–400 km to the northeast. The apparent conflict in ages is possibly due to the non-marine depositional environment having wielded a strong local influence on the palynoflora along the edge of this basin. Although the present information indicates an age 2.5 million years younger than the 266.6 Ma age previously suggested for the top of the M. villosa Zone, revisions to the ages of Roadian–Wordian spore-pollen zones are not considered justifiable without further supporting evidence. Furthermore, considerable care is needed when comparing palynological assemblages from significantly differing facies. Two basaltic sills (43.5 m and 20 m thick) immediately below the tuffaceous beds in Pittston SD-1 are coincidental, as Ar–Ar dating indicates a Late Triassic age for the intrusions.  相似文献

南秦岭铧厂沟金矿床位于勉略缝合带以南的逆冲推覆带内,矿体呈透镜体或脉状产于新元古界蚀变细碧岩及泥盆系灰岩中,受控于近EW向叠瓦状逆冲断层及韧脆性剪切带。为了准确厘定其成矿时代,对矿区蚀变细碧岩型矿石和含矿石英脉中的铬云母进行了年龄测定。2件铬云母样品的~(40)Ar/~(39)Ar坪年龄分别为209.4±2.3 Ma和211.5±2.5 Ma,相应的等时线年龄211.4±3.6 Ma和215.3±3.9 Ma,与坪年龄在误差范围内一致。因此,铧厂沟金矿床的成矿年龄为212~209 Ma。结合铧厂沟金矿床的大地构造位置、矿床地质特征及成因类型,推测铧厂沟金矿床形成于扬子板块与秦岭微板块的碰撞过程,其成矿年龄代表了两板块发生碰撞的下限。  相似文献

哀牢山古特提斯洋的打开时限及其缝合带的具体位置对理解哀牢山古特提斯洋构造演化具有非常重要的意义。本文采用碎屑锆石年代学方法,分析了哀牢山构造带及其两侧不同时期沉积物源的特征及其变化,解译了其物源差别所指示的哀牢山古特提斯洋盆打开时限以及缝合带的构造位置。碎屑锆石年代学显示,哀牢山构造带两侧上志留统碎屑锆石都记录一个~450 Ma的最年轻的峰值和一个格林威尔期造山事件的年龄群(1100~800 Ma),以及一个2600~2400 Ma的次峰;不同于上志留统,构造带东侧下泥盆统碎屑锆石并未出现年轻的~450 Ma峰值年龄信息,西侧U-Pb年龄分布模式与上志留统一致,记录~450 Ma峰值年龄信息,而且构造带两侧下泥盆统碎屑锆石的2600~2400 Ma的峰值明显要强于上志留统。区域上发表的碎屑锆石年代学资料,也揭示相同的年龄峰值。因此,综合区域上的其他地质资料,我们认为哀牢山古特提斯洋盆的打开时限应该在晚志留世-早泥盆世,哀牢山断裂带代表了哀牢山洋盆闭合的位置。  相似文献

"昆仑-黄河运动"是发生在早、中更新世之交的一次强烈的构造运动,它使青藏高原现代构造地貌格局基本定型。以往对昆仑-黄河运动时限的研究,主要由黄河干流发育的阶地、昆仑山垭口地区羌塘组与望昆冰碛层等古地磁、ESR、TL等分析测试得出,缺少其他年代学约束。在塔里木盆地,昆仑-黄河运动表现为西域砾岩与乌苏群之间的角度不整合接触。本文通过对塔里木盆地南缘西域砾岩顶部的普鲁上层火山岩4个样品的全岩~(40)Ar/~(39)Ar定年,获得~(40)Ar/~(39)Ar坪年龄为1.03±0.05 Ma~1.20±0.05 Ma,加权平均年龄为1.1±0.1 Ma(n=4,MSWD=2.3)。这是首次应用~(40)Ar/~(39)Ar定年方法,获得昆仑-黄河运动的时代下限为1.1±0.1 Ma,与前人确定的昆仑-黄河运动时代下限在误差范围内一致,为我国西部新构造运动提供了重要的年代学约束。  相似文献

This study presents new 40Ar/39Ar ages on the volcanic and intrusive rocks from the Papandayan metallic district in West Java, Indonesia. The vein system in the Arinem area, one of the prospective areas in the district, has been considered as an epithermal gold–silver–base metal deposit, however, no published age results are available for the host volcanic rocks in the district. The ages of these rocks are critical in terms of their association with mineralization and are important to understand the evolution of volcanism in the region, which has implications for mineral exploration in the district. 40Ar/39Ar plateau ages of two typical basalt and one andesite samples of the Jampang Formation volcanic rocks yielded ages of 11.65 ± 0.52 Ma, 18.15 ± 0.46 Ma and 7.69 ± 0.05 Ma, respectively. 40Ar/39Ar ages of three intrusive rock samples from Gunung Halang diorite, Gunung Lingga diorite, and Gunung Buligir fine‐grained quartz diorite yielded ages of 12.98 ± 0.20 Ma, 10.81 ± 0.15 Ma, and 7.37 ± 0.05 Ma, respectively. The age of the youngest fine‐grained diorite (Gunung Wayang dike) is 3.95 ± 0.03 Ma. An 40Ar/39Ar age obtained from adularia in the Arinem mineralized vein (18.30 ± 0.20 Ma) is older than the age of altered basalt sample of this study (11.65 ± 0.52 Ma) and the K–Ar illite ages of the Arinem vein (9.4 ± 0.3 Ma and 8.8 ± 0.3 Ma) which resulted from a previous study. The age results suggest that the Papandayan district may have experienced multiple hydrothermal and mineralization events. This study, therefore, provides crucial age data to support future mineral exploration in the district.  相似文献

五道岭组是黑龙江重要的与成矿关系密切的陆相火山岩地层,长期以来对它的地质时代存在不同认识.本文依据近几年新取得的同位素测年数据,结合与五道岭组紧密伴生的花岗岩类的时代研究,以及对五道岭组火山岩类与伴生花岗岩类的地球化学特征对比研究,提出五道岭组地层时代属于晚三叠世—早侏罗世的新认识.论述了五道岭组火山岩类、晚三叠世—早侏罗世花岗岩类和与前二者关系密切的钼矿是在大体相同的地质时代依次相继形成.较早的陆相火山喷发形成五道岭组火山岩地层,随后发生多阶段的花岗岩类侵入,而钼矿在同源岩浆演化到更晚阶段形成.五道岭组火山岩类和晚三叠世一早侏罗世花岗岩类具有相同的岩浆起源,它们分别是同源岩浆在不同演化阶段和不同深度的产物,因而在时空关系、岩石化学、微量元素、稀土配分和同位素组成等方面表现了明显的一致性.五道岭组地层与钼矿及花岗岩类的密切时空关系和成因联系可用于评价钼矿成矿远景区.  相似文献

甲乌拉铜银铅锌矿床是大兴安岭西坡得尔布干铜(钼)-银铅锌成矿带内大型铅锌银矿床之一,长期以来被认为是与火山、次火山热液作用有关的浅成热液矿床;然而近期的研究显示,其成矿可能与深部细脉浸染型铜矿化有着密切的成因联系。为此,我们在野外调研的基础上,开展了与细脉浸染型铜矿化有关的富碱花岗斑岩的年代学和地球化学研究工作。实验结果揭示:花岗斑岩的w(SiO_2)为71.59%~72.36%,w(TiO_2)为0.46%~0.58%,w(Al2O3)为15.45%~15.92%,w(Fe_2O_3)为0.74%~0.90%,w(FeO)为1.67%~1.96%,w(MgO)为0.55%~0.89%,w(Na_2O+K_2O)为9.01%~9.91%,K2O/Na2O值为1.37~2.15,里特曼指数(σ)为2.77~3.43,碱度指数(AR)为3.13~3.96,指示该类岩石为钾玄岩系列、高钾质、过铝质的A型富碱花岗斑岩;稀土元素总量(∑REE)为(350.11~408.80)×10-6,轻重稀土比值(∑LREE/∑HREE)为11.25~11.44,δEu主要集中在0.38~0.44,具有较强的轻重稀土分馏和明显负铕异常、强烈亏损相容元素(Ni、Co、Cr、V、Yb、Eu等)、富集不相容元素(Cs、Rb、Pb、U、Th、Zr、Hf等)、相对亏损Li、Sr等不相容元素以及持有较高的Rb/Sr(0.93~1.31)、Zr/Hf(29.38~35.61)值等特征,揭示原始岩浆来源于以CO_2为主的流体交代下地壳部分重熔或以H2O为主的流体交代下地壳部分重熔,岩浆作用过程受到了强烈的碳酸盐混染,并具有提供铜银铅锌成矿流体的属性。鉴于所获该类岩石具有岩浆和热液锆石共伴生的特点,且岩浆锆石的206Pb/238 U年龄加权平均值为(146.4±1.6)Ma(MSWD=1.30,n=12)、热液锆石206Pb/238 U年龄加权平均值为(143.1±3.9)Ma(MSWD=0.56,n=5),结合前人的研究成果,得出甲乌拉矿床成矿发生在早白垩世初期,与成矿密切的岩浆作用发生在晚侏罗世末,并认证甲乌拉矿床为斑岩型铜-浅成热液铜银铅锌成矿系统;成岩成矿地球动力学背景适值古太平洋板块向欧亚板块俯冲的大陆内部挤压向伸展转换的构造环境,或蒙古—鄂霍茨克洋闭合后造山带碰撞伸展的环境。  相似文献

The Hongdonggou Pb-Zn polymetallic ore deposit,located in the southwestern part of the Luanchuan Mo-W-Pb-Zn-Ag polymetallic ore mineralization in Henan Province,China,is an important part of the East Qinling metallogenic belt.The orebodies in the deposit,which are vein,bedded and lenticular,are mainly hosted in the syenite porphyry,and formed within the carbonate and clastic rocks of the Yuku and Qiumugou formations partially.The genesis of the deposit has previously been argued to be of hydrothermal-vein type or of skarn-hydrothermal type.In this study,we report the results of Rb-Sr isotopic dating based on sphalerites from the main orebody of the Hongdonggou Pb-Zn polymetallic ore deposit,which yield an isochron age of 135.7 ± 3.2 Ma,constraining the timing of mineralization as early Cretaceous.The age is close to those reported for the Pb-Zn deposits in the Luanchuan ore belt.The(~(87)Sr/~(86)Sr),values of the sphalerites(0.71127 + 0.00010) are lower than that of terrigenous silicates(0.720) and higher than the mantle(0.707),suggesting that the metallogenic components were mainly derived through crust-mantle mixing.Combining the results from this study with those from previous work,we propose that the Hongdonggou Pb-Zn polymetallic ore deposit is a hydrothermal-vein deposit associated with the early Cretaceous tectonothermal event,and the mineralization is controlled by NWand near EW-trending faults in the Luanchuan Mo-W-Pb-Zn-Ag polymetallic ore concentration belt.  相似文献

Detrital zircons are important proxies for crustal provenance and have been widely used in tracing source characteristics and continental reconstructions. Southern Peninsular India constituted the central segment of the late Neoproterozoic supercontinent Gondwana and is composed of crustal blocks ranging in age from Mesoarchean to late Neoproterozoic–Cambrian. Here we investigate detrital zircon grains from a suite of quartzites accreted along the southern part of the Madurai Block. Our LA-ICPMS U-Pb dating reveals multiple populations of magmatic zircons, among which the oldest group ranges in age from Mesoarchean to Paleoproterozoic (ca. 2980–1670 Ma, with peaks at 2900–2800 Ma, 2700–2600 Ma, 2500–2300 Ma, 2100–2000 Ma). Zircons in two samples show magmatic zircons with dominantly Neoproterozoic (950–550 Ma) ages. The metamorphic zircons from the quartzites define ages in the range of 580–500 Ma, correlating with the timing of metamorphism reported from the adjacent Trivandrum Block as well as from other adjacent crustal fragments within the Gondwana assembly. The zircon trace element data are mostly characterized by LREE depletion and HREE enrichment, positive Ce, Sm anomalies and negative Eu, Pr, Nd anomalies. The Mesoarchean to Neoproterozoic age range and the contrasting petrogenetic features as indicated from zircon chemistry suggest that the detritus were sourced from multiple provenances involving a range of lithologies of varying ages. Since the exposed basement of the southern Madurai Block is largely composed of Neoproterozoic orthogneisses, the data presented in our study indicate derivation of the detritus from distal source regions implying an open ocean environment. Samples carrying exclusive Neoproterozoic detrital zircon population in the absence of older zircons suggest proximal sources in the southern Madurai Block. Our results suggest that a branch of the Mozambique ocean might have separated the southern Madurai Block to the north and the Nagercoil Block to the south, with the metasediments of the khondalite belt in Trivandrum Block marking the zone of ocean closure, part of which were accreted onto the southern Madurai Block during the collisional amalgamation of the Gondwana supercontinent in latest Neoproterozoic–Cambrian.  相似文献

大兴安岭地区洛古河含钼花岗岩体的锆石U-Pb年龄为131±2 Ma,含钼花岗岩为二长花岗岩,属高钾钙碱性系列,ΣREE较低,Eu负异常明显,花岗岩低Sr高Yb,属早白垩世后碰撞花岗岩.其云英岩中白云母的40Ar-39Ar年龄为125.36±0.90 Ma.资料分析表明,130 Ma前后为大兴安岭地区重要的构造岩浆-成矿作用期.  相似文献
