Abstract Rb–Sr and K–Ar chronological studies were carried out on granitic and metamorphic rocks in the Ina, Awaji Island and eastern Sanuki districts, Southwest Japan to investigate the timing of intrusion of the granitoids in the Ryoke belt. Intrusions of 'younger' Ryoke granitic magmas took place in the Ina district between 120 Ma and 70 Ma, and cooling began immediately after the emplacement of the youngest granitic bodies. Igneous activity in Awaji Island was initiated at 100 Ma and continued to 75 Ma. Along-arc variations of Rb–Sr whole-rock isochron ages suggest that magmatism began everywhere in the Ryoke and San-yo belts at almost the same time ( ca 120 Ma). The last magmatism took place in the eastern part of both belts. Rb–Sr and K–Ar mineral ages for the granitoids young eastwards. The age data suggest that the Ryoke belt was uplifted just after the termination of igneous activity. Initial Sr and Nd isotopic ratios for the Ryoke granitoids indicate that most were derived from magmas produced in the lower crust and/or upper mantle with uniform Sr and Nd isotopic compositions. Several granitoids, however, exhibit evidence of assimilation of Ryoke metamorphic rocks or older Precambrian crustal rocks beneath the Ryoke belt.  相似文献

角质颚是头足类重要的硬组织之一,通常被用来鉴定种类、估算资源量。根据2007年2~5月和2010年1~3月中国鱿钓船在西南大西洋作业期间采集的3 160尾阿根廷滑柔鱼样本,对角质颚12项外部形态进行测量,结合日龄数据,研究了不同产卵群间角质颚外形生长特性。主成分分析表明,上头盖长(UHL)、上脊突长(UCL)、上翼长(UWL)、下头盖长(LHL)、下脊突长(LCL)和下翼长(LWL)可作为角质颚外部形态变化的特征指标。角质颚外形生长存在群体间差异但不存在性别间差异。秋季产卵群的UHL、UCL、UWL、和LHL与日龄关系适合用幂函数表示,而LCL和LWL与日龄关系则适合用指数函数表示;冬季产卵群的UHL、UCL、LHL、LCL和LWL适合用线性函数表示,UWL则适合用幂数函数表示。2个产卵群主要外形参数的绝对生长率随着日龄增加而先增加后减小,相对生长率总体上随着日龄的增加而减小。研究认为,不同产卵群体间角质颚外形生长存在显著性差异,这为利用角质颚外形参数进行群体划分及日龄判别打下基础。  相似文献

Abstract Late Archaean orthogneisses and aluminous and iron-rich metasedimentary rocks intruded by anorthosite and a ferrodiorite-granite suite were completely recrystallized during Proterozoic granulite facies metamorphism. Geobarometry and geothermometry indicate P-T conditions of around 7.5kbar. 700°C, with a CO2-rich fluid phase and logfO2 at or below -16. A two-stage high-grade history of near isochemical corona growth is preserved in metasediments with the reaction cycle opx + plag + H2O → hbl+gar+SiO2→ opx+plag+H2O. End product compositions resemble those of the initial phases, and the only mobile components were SiO2 and/or H2O. The coronas reflect shortlived fluctuations in chemical activity at essentially constant P and T, contrary to simple progressive change in equilibrium parameters recorded by most corona-bearing textures.  相似文献

Holocene relative sea level (RSL) changes have been investigated by analysing and dating isolation sequences from five lakes near Sisimiut in south‐western Greenland. The transitions between marine and lacustrine sediments were determined from elemental analyses and analyses of macroscopic plant and animal remains. Radiocarbon dating was used to provide minimum ages for the transitions and to construct a RSL curve. Dating of a shell of the marine bivalve Macoma balthica indicates that deglaciation of the lowlands occurred in the early Holocene, at around 10 900 cal a BP. The RSL curve shows initial rapid regression from the marine limit at around 140 m, implying strong glacio‐isostatic rebound. We suggest that the margin of the Greenland Ice Sheet was located at the shelf break during the Last Glacial Maximum. Frequent remains of the ostracode Sarcypridopsis aculeata, which is a thermophilous brackish water species that is unknown from the extant fauna of Greenland, in one of the basins around 8500 cal a BP may mark the beginning of the Holocene thermal maximum in the region. A new deglaciation chronology for the ice‐free parts of Greenland, the continental shelf and eastern Ellesmere Island (Canada) is proposed. The chronology is based on a new compilation of all published radiocarbon dates from Greenland, and includes crucial new material from southern, northeastern and northwestern Greenland. Although each date provides only a minimum age for the local deglaciation, some of the dates come from species that indicate ice‐proximal glaciomarine conditions, and thus may be connected with the actual ice recession. In addition to shell dates, dates from marine algae, lake sediments, peat, terrestrial plants and driftwood also are included. Only offshore and in the far south have secure late‐glacial sediments been found. Other previous reports of late‐glacial sediments (older than 11.5 cal. kyr BP) from onshore parts of Greenland need to be confirmed. Most of the present ice‐free parts of Greenland and Nares Strait between Greenland and Ellesmere Island were not deglaciated until the early Holocene. Within a period of a few weeks toward the end of the Allerød Interstadial, the major Plinian eruption of the Laacher See volcano produced some 20 km3 of eruptiva, covering and preserving the late-glacial landscape in the German Central Rhineland over an area of more than 1000 km2. Correlation of terrestrial archives with the Greenland ice-core records and improved calibration of the radiocarbon timescale permit a precise, accurate age determination of the Laacher See event some 200 yr before the onset of the Younger Dryas cold episode. Carbonized trees and botanical macrofossils preserved by Laacher See Tephra permit detailed regional paleoenvironmental reconstruction and show that open woodland were typical for the cool and humid hemiboreal climatic conditions during the late Allerød. This woodland provided the habitat for a large variety of animal species, documented at both paleontological and Final Paleolithic archeological sites preserved below Laacher See deposits. Of special interest are numerous animal tracks intercalated in Middle Laacher See deposits at the south of the Neuwied Basin. This knowledge may help to evaluate possible supraregional impacts of this volcanic event on northern hemispheric environment and climate during the late Allerød.  相似文献

生物有机酸的研究有助于认识C、H、O等生源元素的生物地球化学循环 ,有助于认识大气酸雨的形成及其防治 .雪冰是记录大气中生物有机酸过去信息的良好载体 ,对其中生物有机酸记录的研究是认识过去大气中相应化合物的含量及其变化 ,认识有机酸的生物地球化学循环 ,进而恢复过去区域生态、环境乃至气候变化的有效途径 ,也是雪冰化学研究的前沿课题之一 .雪冰中常见的有机酸有甲酸、乙酸、丙酸、丙酮酸、草酸和羟基乙酸等 ,其中甲酸和乙酸是最主要的两种有机酸类 .过去十多年来 ,雪冰中生物有机酸的研究多集中在格陵兰地区 ,其次是南极 ,最近两年开始向中低纬度的山地冰川转移 .格陵兰冰芯中甲酸、乙酸的平均含量均不足 10ng·g-1,草酸含量则更低 .其有机酸主要来自北半球的森林大火和植物生长过程中的释放 ;南极洲雪冰中的甲酸平均含量不足 2ng·g-1,乙酸含量在 0 .15ng·g-1以下 ,它们主要源于不饱和有机物的大气氧化 ;格陵兰冰芯中MSA平均在 5ng·g-1以下 ,而南极洲的MSA平均不低于 7ng·g-1.它们的来源都与海洋浮游生物释放的不饱和有机物有关 .气候的变化影响两极地区生物有机酸的来源 ,进而影响冰芯中有机酸的记录 .我国天山乌鲁木齐河源 1号冰川为中纬度的山地冰川 ,其冰芯中的甲酸、乙酸分别是格陵  相似文献

We present a unique new set of high spatial resolution precipitation data from a storage gauge network, for the sparsely observed northern Sonoran desert in south-west Arizona. We examine the nature and causes of the highly complex seasonal and spatial variability in the data, using fine-scale maps developed via spatial modeling and interpolation. These high-resolution maps had explained variances approaching 1·00, and precipitation errors of about 1% in winter and about 10% in summer. Seasonal precipitation ranges from near zero to almost 15 in across the area, and shows high interannual variability. Localized convectional processes lead to summer anomalies that are more spatially complex than in winter when broad-scale synoptic and frontal processes cause precipitation. In general, summer and winter precipitation variability are tied to meridional-zonal shifts and east–west movement of the respective anticyclone or trough pattern over the region. Statistical links between major weather stations in the region and precipitation across the area are spatially inconsistent, especially in the west.  相似文献

Crustal shortening of Southwest Japan in the Late Miocene   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5  
Abstract Tectonic deformation of an island arc is interpreted on the basis of geophysical data. Extensive reflection seismic, gravity, geomagnetic data around the back-arc region of Southwest Japan delineate east-west to northeast-southwest folding, and imply conspicuous compression on the southern margin of the Sea of Japan. Because geological data of exploration boreholes indicate that the coinpressive regime was dominant in the late Miocene, the tectonic event seems to be linked with coeval resumption of subduction of the Philippine Sea Plate. Strong coupling of the young buoyant oceanic plate brought about north-south shortening of the overriding continental lithosphere, and left wrench deformation at the southwestern corner of the Sea of Japan. Amount of shortening for the back-arc shelf and mountainous ranges of Southwest Japan is estimated to be ca 10 km, adopting a uniform ratio of shortening (0.944) since the Miocene determined on the shelf from depth-converted seismic profiles. Along the western side of a bend of boundary between the Eurasian Plate and Philippine Sea Plate, the middle Miocene and younger sediments upon the back-arc shelf are much less deformed than the northern equivalents, and the fore-arc Miocene strata are deformed by left wrenching, facts which are indicative of northerly initial convergence of the Philippine Sea Plate at the end of Miocene and crustal decoupling on the west of Kyushu Island.  相似文献
