The study applies the three-dimensional boundary element method in frequency domain to investigate the screening effectiveness of circular piles in a row for a massless square foundation subject to harmonic vertical loading. Four types of piles were studied: steel pipe piles, concrete hollow piles, concrete solid piles and timber piles. A parametric study was undertaken to examine the effects of pile dimensions, operational frequency, and source distance on the screening effectiveness. The results showed that screening effectiveness of steel pipe piles is generally better than that of solid piles, and that a concrete hollow pile barrier can be ineffective due to its stiffness. The influence of pile length on screening effectiveness is more significant than that of pile spacing and the distance between the vibrating foundation and the pile barrier.  相似文献

Hurricane wind damage constitutes the largest percentage of catastrophic insured losses in the US. Yet the complicated wind structures and their changes are not fully understood and, thus, have not been considered in current risk catastrophic models. To obtain realistic landfall hurricane surface winds, a large eddy simulation (LES) framework in a weather forecasting mode has been developed from a multiple nested Weather Research & Forecasting (WRF) model to explicitly simulate a spectrum of scales from large-scale background flow, hurricane vortex, mesoscale organizations, down to fine-scale turbulent eddies in a unified system. The unique WRF-LES enables the high resolution data to be generated in a realistic environment as a hurricane evolves. In this paper, a simulation of the landfalling Hurricane Katrina is presented to demonstrate various features of the WRF-LES. It shows that the localized damaging winds are caused by the large eddy circulations generated in the hurricane boundary layer. With a sufficient computational power, WRF-LES has the potential to be developed into the next generation operational public wind-field model for hurricane wind damage mitigation.  相似文献

根据华北地区12,15,16,1年高精度GPS观测结果,给出了华北地区各主要构造单元间两个时段(12-16年和16-1年)的相对水平运动.其结果为:①相对于鄂尔多斯单元,阴山单元的运动为(0-2.3)±1.6mm/a,方向约0°-W13°N,属于相对较弱左旋走滑运动.②相对于鄂尔多斯单元,晋冀鲁豫单元的运动为(4.4±1.0)-(2.5±1.5)mm/a,方向约为S50°-30°E,属于右旋型拉张运动;相对于燕山单元,则为(4.7±1.4)-(4.3±1.4)mm/a,方向约为E37°-°S,属拉张型左旋走滑运动.③相对于晋冀鲁豫单元,胶辽鲁苏单元12-16年的运动显示了顺扭的运动特征;16-1年的运动为(2.6±1.5)mm/a,保持顺扭趋势,方向约为W11°S,总体上属于北张南压的右旋走滑运动.分析表明:现今地壳构造活动与现代地壳构造运动性质基本一致,但量值有所差别;地壳运动存在着数年尺度的较明显的波动性,这可能是大陆地壳运动的一个主要特征;16-1年的运动不同于12-16年,主要表现为鄂尔多斯单元北移态势增强,山西断陷带和燕山构造带两侧拉张性有所减弱,可能是张北地震后应力调整与华北地区边界力耦合共同作用的结果.  相似文献

 When standard boundary element methods (BEM) are used in order to solve the linearized vector Molodensky problem we are confronted with two problems: (1) the absence of O(|x|−2) terms in the decay condition is not taken into account, since the single-layer ansatz, which is commonly used as representation of the disturbing potential, is of the order O(|x|−1) as x→∞. This implies that the standard theory of Galerkin BEM is not applicable since the injectivity of the integral operator fails; (2) the N×N stiffness matrix is dense, with N typically of the order 105. Without fast algorithms, which provide suitable approximations to the stiffness matrix by a sparse one with O(N(logN) s ), s≥0, non-zero elements, high-resolution global gravity field recovery is not feasible. Solutions to both problems are proposed. (1) A proper variational formulation taking the decay condition into account is based on some closed subspace of co-dimension 3 of the space of square integrable functions on the boundary surface. Instead of imposing the constraints directly on the boundary element trial space, they are incorporated into a variational formulation by penalization with a Lagrange multiplier. The conforming discretization yields an augmented linear system of equations of dimension N+3×N+3. The penalty term guarantees the well-posedness of the problem, and gives precise information about the incompatibility of the data. (2) Since the upper left submatrix of dimension N×N of the augmented system is the stiffness matrix of the standard BEM, the approach allows all techniques to be used to generate sparse approximations to the stiffness matrix, such as wavelets, fast multipole methods, panel clustering etc., without any modification. A combination of panel clustering and fast multipole method is used in order to solve the augmented linear system of equations in O(N) operations. The method is based on an approximation of the kernel function of the integral operator by a degenerate kernel in the far field, which is provided by a multipole expansion of the kernel function. Numerical experiments show that the fast algorithm is superior to the standard BEM algorithm in terms of CPU time by about three orders of magnitude for N=65 538 unknowns. Similar holds for the storage requirements. About 30 iterations are necessary in order to solve the linear system of equations using the generalized minimum residual method (GMRES). 本课题以可见光黑白航空像片为主要信息源,对陕西神府煤田新民烧变区进行了1:5万航空遥感地质调查,圈定了该区烧变岩分布范围及煤层自燃边界线。文中着重介绍了遥感调查煤层烧变区的技术方法与工作成果。调查区为煤层自燃死火区。调查首先从烧变岩的基本地质特征入手,划分了烧变岩的宏观类型,确定了烧变岩的主要形成时代,探讨了烧变岩的形成机理;第二,根据掌握资料选取已知区,研究烧变岩及煤层自燃边界线的影像特征,建立初步解译标志;第三,在全区范围内进行煤层自燃边界线的遥感调查,并对解译标志进行补充、修改与完善。在调查中,解译与调绘相结合,遥感与地面调查方法相结合,最终圈定了区内各煤层的自燃边界线,并经钻孔验证,精度达到要求。  相似文献

本文主要利用第一次“中美热带西太平洋海气相互作用联合调查”所获得的海洋水文、气象及大气探测资料,分析了热带西太平洋暖水区边界层大气层结特征,指出热带西太平洋边界层大气具有多层结构和多层送温现象,边界层内各层厚度及气温、位温、混合比随高度的变化趋势如下:超绝热层位于地面以上50m左右,气温、位温、混合比迅速减小,系绝热不稳定层;第一层为混合层,平均厚度为351m,位温、混合比变化不明显;混合层上又是逆温层大多为30—100m厚,位温迅速增大,混合比迅速减小,系绝对稳定层;700—1000m为浅对流云活跃层,  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the vibration isolation efficiency analysis of total or partially buried thin walled wave barriers in poroelastic soils. A two-dimensional time harmonic model that treats soils and structures in a direct way by combining appropriately the conventional Boundary Element Method (BEM), the Dual BEM (DBEM) and the Finite Element Method (FEM) is developed to this aim. The wave barriers are impinged by Rayleigh waves obtained from Biot’s poroelasticity equations assuming a permeable free-surface. The suitability of the proposed model is justified by comparison with available previous results. The vibration isolation efficiency of three kinds of wave barriers (open trench, simple wall, open trench-wall) in poroelastic soils is studied by varying their geometry, the soil properties and the frequency. It is found that the efficiency of these wave barriers behaves similarly to these in elastic soils, except for high porosities and small dissipation coefficients. The efficiency of open trench-wall barriers can be evaluated neglecting their walls if they are typical sheet piles. This does not happen with walls of bigger cross-sections, leading in general to efficiency losses. Likewise, increasing the burial depth to trench depth ratio has a negative impact on the efficiency.  相似文献

A coupled finite element (FEM) and boundary element (BEM) method is developed to analyse the nonlinear interaction between bodies and water waves. The former is used away from the body while the latter is used in a region near body. The combination is based on consideration of the efficiency of FEM and BEM in computation and mesh generation, respectively. Results for wave/body interactions are obtained by using auxiliary functions to decouple the mutual dependence of the body acceleration and the wave force.  相似文献

A case study for the energy saving in the powering characteristics of a river going general cargo ship has been carried out. Two different hull forms were generated from the original hull form of the vessel to optimise the stern flow of the vessel. A possible energy saving concept, such as partial wake equalizing duct was investigated in this manner. Resistance, self-propulsion and flow visualization measurements were performed with the hull models to explore the effect of partial wake equalizing ducts on the powering characteristics of the hull form. Analysis of the results indicates that the partial wake equalizing duct concept with an appropriate stern design affect not only the flow characteristics at aft-end, but also the propulsion characteristics. In order to identify effect of each component (partial wake equalizing duct and stern form) a further investigation is needed.  相似文献
