Increasing propulsion efficiency, safety, comfort and operability are of the great importance, especially for small ships operating on windy sites like the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. Seakeeping performance of ships and offshore structures can be analysed by different methods and the one that is becoming increasingly important is CFD RANS. The recent development of simulation techniques together with rising HPC accessibility enables performance of advanced seakeeping simulations for ships in a full scale. The paper presents CFD seakeeping analysis for a case study vessel in two variants: V-shaped bulbous bow hull form (as built) and innovative hull form (X-bow type). The study presents the influence of redesigning the ship on selected seakeeping aspects. The advanced CFD model, with the application of overset mesh technique, was described in detail. Selected numerical results were validated on the basis of experimental testing in a towing tank and showed good agreement. The approach demonstrated here of performing the CFD seakeeping simulations for the analysis of ship performance in a full scale and close to real loading conditions has direct application to the design process as well as in determination of optimal operational parameters of any ship.  相似文献

The flow around a cylinder, surface mounted or partly buried has been examined at Reynolds number of 1.3×104 and 2.6×104 by using the flow visualization method in the case of steady current. The lengths of the upstream and downstream separation regions were determined and the characteristics of the flow area were discussed for the cylinder having different burial depth to the diameter ratio (G/D). For comparsion, some numerical results obtained from the application of the FLUENT, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software package have also been presented. Both experimental and numerical results indicated that the lengths of the separation regions near the upstream and downstream of the cylinder decreased with the increasing burial ratio (G/D=0, 0.20, 0.50). The results have significant implications both for the illustration of the potential for using CFD software and highlighting the need for data of two dimensional flow around the buried cylinder.  相似文献

海底滑坡是海洋油气工程最危险的地质灾害之一,直接影响海底管线运营安全。滑坡体失稳滑动过程中,由于海水掺和作用逐渐加速转变成快速滑动泥流,冲击海底悬跨管道。基于当前国际通用的计算流体动力学(CFD)方法,采用赫巴模型描述快速滑动泥流,计算分析海底滑坡冲击悬跨管道的受力特性,重点分析悬跨高度对管道法向拖曳力系数的影响。研究发现,管道法向拖曳力系数随悬跨高度的增长而增大,当达到某一悬跨高度时,管道拖曳力系数保持稳定。  相似文献

风电场中风机之间存在十分复杂尾流相互干扰现象,尾流相互干扰效应对风机的功率输出、叶片载荷等产生十分显著的影响。采用致动线模型以及计算流体力学方法,研究两风机之间的复杂尾流干扰效应。在保持两风机纵向间距一样的情况下,考虑两风机在不同横向间距下,数值模拟两风机的部分尾流相互干扰现象,分析两风机的气动功率输出特性、尾流速度变化特性、风轮平面附近轴向诱导因子分布特性,尾涡结构以及尾流干扰效应。数值模拟结果表明:在上下游风机在沿着流向方向距离保持不变的情况下,随着横向间距的变化,上下游风机的尾流存在十分复杂的尾流相互干扰效应,对下游风机的气动功率输出以及两风机风电场的整体流场产生了显著的影响。  相似文献

人工鱼礁在海中不同的布局方式会产生不同的流场效应.通过水槽与风洞模型实验很难对组合鱼礁流场全局进行观测,为此提出1种基于CFD原理的人工鱼礁流场特性的计算机数值模拟方法,模拟了不同流速条件下布设间距对方形组合礁体流场效应的影响.结果表明:数值模拟较好地反映了人工鱼礁周围上升流和背涡流的分布情况;当两礁体布设间距为1.5倍礁体尺寸时,所产生的上升流高度达到最大值;当布设间距为1倍/时,其上升流的影响面积为最大;当布设间距为1.5倍时所产生的背涡流效果最好;两礁体之间的最佳布设间距应为礁体尺寸的1~1.5倍.数值模拟结果与风洞实验结果基本相符,该结论可为人工鱼礁实际投放提供理论参考.  相似文献

This paper reports on the prediction of the hydrodynamic forces on a full-scale mini Tension Leg Platform (TLP) of the type typically deployed for deep-sea operation. Two alternative prediction techniques were used: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), which is based on the solution of the fundamental equations that govern turbulent fluid flow; and ‘engineering’ calculations based on force coefficients derived from a design code that is in routine use in the Offshore Industry. The results from these two techniques were compared with each other and with experimental data obtained from wind-tunnel and towing-tank tests on a 1–70 scale model. It was found that the two techniques, while yielding very similar predictions for the front TLP members, give substantially different predictions for the aft members — a result that is consistent with the presence of significant interference effects that are captured only by the CFD. The design code yielded the highest value for the global drag coefficient, followed very closely by the towing-tank result. The wind-tunnel tests produced the lowest value for this parameter. The CFD predictions, which were the first to be obtained in this study, fall in the mid-range of the experimental values. These and other results are discussed in the context of the use of CFD in practical design applications.  相似文献

受城市化、探测环境变化等人为因素影响,部分气象站风速序列存在不均一性,在使用这类气象站的风速资料时必须进行订正。本文以东山气象站为例,应用测站受建筑物影响前后各5 a的风速资料及探测环境历史沿革资料,利用计算流体力学方法(CFD)研究建筑物对气象站测风数据的影响。结果表明:建筑物与测风杆的相对位置不同,建筑物对测风的影响程度亦不同,测站北面建筑物是影响该站偏北风风速观测的主要因素;研究不同风速下建筑的影响,可得模拟结果与输入风速间呈线性关系,并由此建立风速订正关系式,订正后基本消除了建筑物对N方位风速的影响;订正受建筑物影响较小的NNE方位风速需考虑其他障碍物的影响。本文通过试验,验证了CFD方法可用于定量评估建筑物对测风的影响,从而重建受建筑物影响台站的风速序列。  相似文献

Jet flows, which are localized flows exhibiting a high speed maxima, are relatively common in nature, and in many devices. They have only been occasionally observed on dunes, and their dynamics are poorly known. This paper examines computational fluid dynamic (CFD) two‐dimensional (2D) modelling of jet flow over a foredune topography. Flow was simulated in 10° increments from onshore (0°) to highly oblique alongshore (70°) incident wind approach angles. CFD modelling reveals that the formation of a jet is not dependent on a critical wind speed, and an increase in incident wind velocity does not affect the magnitude of jet flow. A jet is first formed at ~1.0 m seawards of the foredune crest on the Prince Edward Island foredune morphology example examined here. A jet is not developed when the incident wind is from an oblique approach angle greater than ~50° because there is significantly less flow acceleration across a much lower slope at this incident angle. The presence of a scarp does influence the structure of the crest jet, in that the jet is more pronounced where a scarp is present. Surface roughness affects the magnitude of jet expansion and jets are better developed on bare surfaces compared to vegetated ones. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
