In present study, the non-linear variations of soil compressibility, hydraulic and electro-osmosis conductivities were analyzed through laboratory experiments, and incorporated in a one-dimensional model. The analytical solutions for excess pore water pressure and degree of consolidation were derived, and numerical simulations were performed to verify its effectiveness. The results indicated that both the non-linear variations of hydraulic and electro-osmosis conductivities showed remarkable impacts on the excess pore water pressure and degree of consolidation, especially for soils with relative high compressibility. A further comparison with previous analytical solutions indicated that more accurate predictions could be obtained with the proposed analytical solutions. 相似文献
Excess capacity is a major concern for fisheries management worldwide. It is often argued that Individual Transferable Quota (ITQ) systems will enhance efficiency and alleviate problems of excess capacity. While improvements in efficiency have been observed, most empirical studies have found only modest changes in excess capacity as a result of such systems. Using a database of compulsory log-book information for the Tasmanian Rock Lobster Fishery in Australia, from January 2000 to December 2013, this study presents the first analysis to investigate the dynamic behaviour of both excess capacity and efficiency (i.e. technical and scale efficiency) in an industrialised fleet after the introduction of quota management. The analysis revealed weak evidence for a prolonged adjustment in the fishery following the introduction of an ITQ system. In addition, no marked changes in excess capacity were observed over the study period; and furthermore, there was no evidence for an increase in excess capacity during a period of non-binding Total Allowable Catch (TAC) when race to fish behaviour increased in the fishery. The results suggest a limited ability of the ITQ system to alleviate levels of excess capacity in fisheries in the long-term. 相似文献
AbstractFiber Bragg Grating (FBG) technology has emerged as a relatively new sensing technology for engineering applications because of lots of advantages. In this study, a large diameter probe instrumented with FBG pressure sensors to monitor excess pore pressure in marine sediment is proposed. The principle of FBG differential pressure sensor was introduced. Laboratory tests were carried out to check the workability and stability of the FBG pressure sensor. Offshore field test was also conducted in a wharf in Qingdao of China to evaluate the feasibility of the proposed probe. The installation procedure of the probe was introduced in detail. The excess pore pressure in dissipation test, after installation and pulling process were reported. The permeability coefficient of marine sediment was calculated based on the measured data. The field data show that the proposed probe based on FBG pressure sensor has good feasibility and accuracy in monitoring the excess pore pressure of marine sediment. The generation and dissipation of excess pore pressure is closely related to the degree of soil disturbance. The variation of excess pore pressure after installation can reflect the tide well in the site. 相似文献
The relationship between inert gas and geologic stress has been paid attention to by seis-mologists in the recent twenty years. Recent studies of seismic belts show that changes of geo-logical stress can lead to emanation of inert gas from geological bodi… 相似文献
In order to attempt to further constrain the age of the early Alpine tectonic evolution of the Mulhacén Complex and to explore the influence of inherited isotopes, micas from a small number of well-characterised rocks from the Sierra de los Filábres, with a penetrative tectonic fabric related to the exhumation of eclogite-facies metamorphic rocks, were selected for 40Ar/39Ar and Rb–Sr dating.
A single phengite grain from an amphibolite yielded an 40Ar/39Ar laser step heating plateau age of 86.9±1.2 Ma (2σ; 70% 39Ar released) and an inverse isochron age of 86.2±2.4 Ma with an 36Ar/40Ar intercept within error of the atmospheric value. Induction furnace step heating of a biotite separate from a gabbro relic in an eclogite yielded a weighted mean age of 173.2±6.3 Ma (2σ; 95% 39Ar released). These ages are diagnostic of excess argon (40ArXS) incorporation, as they are older than independent age estimates for the timing of eclogite-facies metamorphism and intrusion of the gabbros. 40ArXS incorporation probably resulted from restricted fluid mobility in the magmatic rocks during their metamorphic recrystallisation.
Rb–Sr whole-rock–phengite ages of graphite-bearing mica schists from Paleozoic rocks (Secano unit) show a dramatic variation (66.1±3.2, 40.6±2.6 and 14.1±2.2 Ma). An albite chlorite mica schist from the Mesozoic series of the Nevado–Lubrín unit has a whole-rock–mica–albite age of 17.2±1.9 Ma, which is within error of an 40Ar/39Ar plateau age published previously and of the youngest Rb–Sr age of the Paleozoic series obtained in this study. The significant spread in Rb–Sr ages implies that progressive partial resetting of an older isotopic system has occurred. The microstructure of the samples with pre-Miocene Rb–Sr ages reveals incomplete recrystallisation of white mica and inhibited grain growth due to the presence of graphite particles. This interpretation agrees with previously published, disturbed and slightly dome-shaped 40Ar/39Ar age spectra that may point similarly to the presence of an older isotope component. The progressively reset Rb–Sr system is a relic of Variscan metamorphism of the Paleozoic series of the Mulhacén Complex. In contrast, the origin of the ca. 17.2 Ma old sample from the Mesozoic series precludes any isotopic inheritance, in agreement with its pervasive tectono-metamorphic recrystallisation during the Miocene.
Exhumation of the eclogite-facies Mulhacén Complex occurred in two stages with contrasting rates of about 22.5 mm/year during the early phase and 9–10 mm/year during the late phase; the latter with a cooling rate in the order of 330 °C/Ma. 相似文献
A laser fusion Ar-Ar technique applied on single crystals of kyanite from river sands of the Kitakami Mountain region of northeast Japan yielded ages of up to 16 Ga, more than three times the age of the earth. Although the age values are geologically meaningless, the ultra-high excess argon in kyanites is unique and hitherto unreported. We interpret this to be an artifact of ultra-high argon pressure derived from radiogenic argon in potassium-rich phases such as phengites during the Barrovian type retrogression of the ultra-high pressure rocks in this region. 相似文献
