We present time-resolved spectrophotometry of the pulsating DA white dwarf G29-38. As in previous broad-band photometry, the light curve shows the presence of a large number of periodicities. Many of these are combination frequencies, i.e. periodicities occurring at frequencies that are sums or differences of frequencies of stronger, real modes. We identify at least six real modes, and at least five combination frequencies. We measure line-of-sight velocities for our spectra and detect periodic variations at the frequencies of five of the six real modes, with amplitudes of up to 5 km s−1 . We argue that these variations reflect the horizontal surface motion associated with the g-mode pulsations. No velocity signals are detected at any of the combination frequencies, confirming that the flux variations at these frequencies do not reflect physical pulsation, but rather reflect mixing of frequencies owing to a non-linear transformation in the outer layers of the star. We discuss the amplitude ratios and phase differences found for the velocity and light variations, as well as those found for the real modes and their combination frequencies, both in a model-independent way and in the context of models based on the convective-driving mechanism. We present analyses of the ASCA X-ray spectra of two Seyfert galaxies, Tololo 0109383 and ESO 138G1. In both cases, spectral fitting reveals two statistically acceptable continuum models: Compton reflection and partial covering. Both spectra have strong iron K lines, with equivalent widths greater than 1.5 keV. These large equivalent widths are suggestive of heavier obscuration than that directly indicated by the partial-covering models ( 21023 cm-2 ), with the actual column densities being 'Compton-thick' (i.e. N H 1.51024 cm-2 ). We use the hard X-ray/[O iii ] flux correlation for Seyferts and data from the literature to provide additional support for this hypothesis. Since Tololo 0109383 is known to have optical type 1 characteristics such as broad Balmer line components and Fe ii emission, this result marks it as a notable object. 相似文献

The aim of this study was to map soil erosion on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. The G2 model, an empirical model for month-time step erosion assessments, was used. Soil losses in Cyprus were mapped at a 100?m cell size, while sediment yields at a sub-basin scale of 0.62?km2 mean size. The results indicated a mean annual erosion rate of 11.75?t?ha?1?y?1, with October and November being the most erosive months. The 34% of the island's surface was found to exceed non-sustainable erosion rates (>10?t?ha?1?y?1), with sclerophyllous vegetation, coniferous forests, and non-irrigated arable land being the most extensive non-sustainable erosive land covers. The mean sediment delivery ratio (SDR) was found to be 0.26, while the mean annual specific sediment yield (SSY) value for Cyprus was found to be 3.32?t?ha?1?y?1. The annual sediment yield of the entire island was found to be 2.746?Mt?y?1. This study was the first to provide complete and detailed erosion figures for Cyprus at a country scale. 传统影像分类方法仅利用灰度、纹理等谱内特征,未能充分利用谱间特征,针对这一不足,本文提出一种融合谱间特征的高分辨率遥感影像分类方法。采用主成分分析法(Principal Component Analysis,PCA)对遥感影像进行变换,提取前两个主分量作为变换后的数据;通过影像分割方法获取像斑,选取训练样本像斑;利用灰度直方图与联合灰度直方图分别表达像斑的谱内特征与谱间特征,采用G统计量度量直方图距离,依据距离倒数加权计算像斑的谱内概率与谱间概率,依据加权组合谱内概率与谱间概率构建联合概率,在联合概率最大基础上获取影像分类结果。在Quick Bird遥感影像上的实验结果表明了本文方法的有效性,总体分类精度与kappa系数分别达到了90.0%和86.7%。 相似文献

ABSTRACTThe development, integration, and distribution of the information and spatial data infrastructure (i.e. Digital Earth; DE) necessary to support the vision and goals of Future Earth (FE) will occur in a distributed fashion, in very diverse technological, institutional, socio-cultural, and economic contexts around the world. This complex context and ambitious goals require bringing to bear not only the best minds, but also the best science and technologies available. Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial Applications (FOSS4G) offers mature, capable and reliable software to contribute to the creation of this infrastructure. In this paper we point to a selected set of some of the most mature and reliable FOSS4G solutions that can be used to develop the functionality required as part of DE and FE. We provide examples of large-scale, sophisticated, mission-critical applications of each software to illustrate their power and capabilities in systems where they perform roles or functionality similar to the ones they could perform as part of DE and FE. We provide information and resources to assist the readers in carrying out their own assessments to select the best FOSS4G solutions for their particular contexts and system development needs. 相似文献

开展卫星反演云量的精度评估是业务应用的基础,也是充分发挥卫星观测效益的前提。利用同类卫星产品EOS Aqua/MODIS云产品,选取2015年6月和12月共80个个例,包括43个白天个例,37个夜间个例。采用交叉比对方法对FY-2G云量产品进行相对偏差分析。结果表明:FY-2G与Aqua/MODIS计算云量总体趋势相当,无论从时间分布(白天和夜间)还是季节分布(6月和12月)上看,FY-2G与Aqua云量相对偏差较为稳定,FY-2G反演云量小于Aqua/MODIS反演云量。匹配个例中FY-2G平均云量为72.81%,Aqua/MODIS平均云量是76.19%,两者相关系数为0.74。两者绝对偏差小于5%的像元比例为72.34%;云量偏差绝对值小于15%的像元比例为79.51%。FY-2G与Aqua/MODIS云量偏差主要来自各自卫星的观测能力与所采用的云检测算法。与具有36个探测通道、星下点最低空间分辨率为0.01°×0.01°的Aqua/MODIS观测数据相比,FY-2G所具有的5通道、星下点最高空间分辨率为0.05°×0.05°的观测数据会出现对云,尤其是破碎云和薄卷云的漏检。两种具有不同时空属性的数据在匹配处理时采用的不同算法也会在比对分析中引入偏差。 相似文献
