本文采用CAM3.0模式研究东亚地区各种气溶胶浓度增加后对于东亚春季各气候要素,尤其是对降水和春季风场的影响。在模式中通过分别对区域(20~50°N,100~150°E)内黑碳气溶胶浓度单独加倍、硫酸盐气溶胶浓度单独加倍、两种气溶胶浓度同时加倍的实验方法,探讨不同气溶胶浓度变化在东亚春季气候变化中的具体作用。结果表明:在春季,3种气溶胶浓度增加方式都使得东亚地区表现出降水中南部减少北部增加,低层大气西南风异常以及地面温度南部增加北部减少。通过对110~120°E的断面分析发现,硫酸盐与黑碳气溶胶在春季首先影响约800 hPa以上大气的温度并通过不同的动力机制影响东亚地区的风场,风场的改变进而导致了云量和降水在东亚北方地区增多而中南部地区减少,并最终使得地面温度表现出东亚中南部地区增温而北方地区相对降温的特征。  相似文献

A sudden increase in salinity about 7000 years ago caused a shift in the deposited sediments of the Black Sea from limnic to brackish-marine. Due to the development of an anoxic deep water basin and a relatively high sulfate concentration, organic matter is mineralized primarily through sulfate reduction in modern Black Sea sediments. Earlier studies showed that sulfate-reducing bacteria are abundant within the limnic sub-surface sediment in spite of extremely low concentrations of sulfate and organic carbon. A main objective of the present study was therefore to understand the depth distribution of sulfate reduction across the different sediment units, even deep below the sulfate-methane transition. Our study combined experimental measurements of sulfate reduction using 35S radiotracer with analyses of sulfur and iron geochemistry in pore water and sediment. Potential sulfate reduction rates were measured with 35S in sediment samples that were amended with sulfate and organic substrates and incubated in time-series up to 48 h. Sulfate reduction could thereby be detected and quantified at depths where concentrations of sulfate were otherwise too low to enable calculation of the rates. The results demonstrate that sulfate-reducing bacteria are active several meters below the sulfate-methane transition in Black Sea sediments. The cryptic sulfate reduction below the sulfate-methane transition may be driven by sulfate produced from re-oxidation of reduced sulfur species with oxidized iron minerals buried in the deep limnic sediment.  相似文献

Levels of fine Particulate Matter (PMfine), SO2 and NOx are interlinked through atmospheric reactions to a large extent. NOx, NH3, SO2, temperature and humidity are the important atmospheric constituents/conditions governing formation of fine particulate sulfates and nitrates. To understand the formation of inorganic secondary particles (nitrates and sulfates) in the atmosphere, a study was undertaken in Kanpur, India. Specifically, the study was designed to measure the atmospheric levels of covering winter and summer seasons and day and night samplings to capture the diurnal variations. Results showed are found to be significantly high in winter season compared to the summer season. In winter, the molar ratio of to was found to be greater than 2:1. This higher molar ratio suggests that in addition to (NH4)2SO4, NH4NO3 will be formed because of excess quantity of present. In summer, the molar ratio was less than 2:1 indicating deficit of to produce NH4NO3. The nitrogen conversion ratio (NO2 to NO3) was found to be nearly 50% in the study area that suggested quick conversion of NO2 into nitric acid. As an overall conclusion, this study finds that NH3 plays a vital role in the formation of fine inorganic secondary particles particularly so in winter months and there is a need to identify and assess sources of ammonia emissions in India.  相似文献

利用一个耦合的区域化学输送模式系统,模拟了2001年3~4月间东亚区域二氧化硫(SO2)和硫酸盐(SO42-)气溶胶浓度的时空分布,并分析了它们的来源、输送、转化和沉降过程在浓度形成中的作用。为了检验模拟结果的合理性,侧重分析了4月9~12日SO2的输送和转化过程。在这一期间,SO2浓度观测资料显示,日本的观测站Happo、Oki和Hedo周围及日本海部分海域先后经历了一次SO2浓度高值。模拟结果表明,日本东京附近的三宅岛火山喷发严重影响了日本列岛和周边海域SO2和SO42-气溶胶的分布,是引起观测站周围及日本海部分海域SO2浓度高值的主要原因。3月1日至4月31日间的硫收支分析显示,气相与液相化学过程在SO2的氧化过程中具有同等的重要性,模拟区域排放的硫氧化物中有约42%(其中约25%为SO2)被输送到模拟区域以外,约57%(约35%为湿沉降)沉积在模拟区域内。  相似文献

One hundred and seven marine aerosol samples were collected during December 1988 to March 1990, and 3 dry deposition samples, 16 rain samples and 2 Cascade Impacter samples were collected from March to May 1990 at the southeast coast of the Xiamen Island. All the samples were analyzed for SO42-, NO3-, Cl-, Na+ , NH4+, using ion chromatography.The results indicate that the concentration of sulfate in marine aerosols over the Xiamen waters appears to be of seasonal variation, in an order of winter > spring > autumn > summer. The mean sulfate concentration lor the total marine aerosol samples over the Xiamen waters is 9. 37 μg/m3, respectively 0. 89 and 8. 48 μg/m3 for the seasalt and non-sea-salt sulfate. The distribution of sulfate shows a bimodal form with a peak in the coarse particle range which is derived from the sea-salt sulfate, and a peak in the fine particle range which is derived from the non-sea-salt sulfate. The total deposition of sulfate to the Xiamen waters is estimated to be 4. 68g/m2   相似文献

结合最新评估的东亚地区 1°× 1°污染源资料 ,利用由区域大气模式系统 (RAMS)和区域大气质量模式系统 (CMAQ)耦合的空气质量模式系统 ,对东亚地区 2 0 0 1年春季气溶胶的输送及其化学转化过程进行了研究。为了检验模式系统的模拟效果 ,我们将模拟的硫酸盐、硝酸盐和铵盐气溶胶的浓度与TRACE -P观测期间获取的观测值进行了比较。比较结果显示 ,模拟值与观测值具有相当好的一致性 ,模式很好地反映了气溶胶浓度的分布特征和变化规律 ,再现了许多观测到的重要特征。模拟结果表明 ,中国区域硫酸盐气溶胶浓度高值主要是人为排放的二氧化硫造成的 ,10 0°E以东的中国广大地区的硫酸盐气溶胶柱含量超过了 6mg·m- 2 ,最高值达到 2 4mg·m- 2 ,柱含量 >16mg·m- 2 的区域延伸到中国近海的广大海域。东亚地区的人类活动不仅使污染地区气溶胶柱含量显著增加 ,而且使近海无源区的广大海域的污染加重。本模式系统的建立为今后进一步研究区域大气污染物的变化机理提供了有效的手段。  相似文献

Sediment cores were used to estimate in-lake alkalinity generation resulting from sulfate reduction relative to inferred changes in lakewater pH and trophic status over the last century in three Connecticut lakes. Despite being situated in geological settings with crystalline bedrock and thin, poorly buffered soils, and being impacted with high rates of acidic precipitation, none of the study lakes have declined in inferred pH based on scaled chrysophyte and diatom remains. In fact, the pH of one of the lakes, Coventry Lake, has significantly increased over the last century. Over the last 44 to 69 years the amount of sulfur stored in the sediments from each lake increased from ~two to three times resulting in mean rates of alkalinity generation ranging from 78 to 145 meq m–2 yr–1, significantly higher than the 45 to 48 meq m–2 yr–1 of hydrogen ions falling directly on the lake surfaces. In-lake alkalinity generation resulting from sulfate reduction has been sufficient to neutralize all of the acid falling directly onto the lake surfaces, as well as between 9% and 25% of the acid deposited onto the surrounding watersheds. Despite the increased importance of in-lake alkalinity generation, our findings support the hypothesis that significant amounts of alkalinity are also being generated in the catchments of the study lakes. The bulk of the increases in stored sulfur in all three lakes were as Fe sulfides and not in the form of organic sulfur, suggesting that the increases were the result of dissimilatory bacterial reduction of sulfate. As a result of the large increases in storage of Fe sulfides the ratio of total iron to chromium reducible sulfur (Fe:CRS) has declined in all cores over time. Despite the overall decline in Fe:CRS in recent sediments, values are still largely above 3 in more recent sediments of two of the lakes. However, values of Fe:CRS have dropped below 1 in surface sediments of Uncas Lake, suggesting that in-lake loading of phosphorus may be responsible for a recent shift in the algal flora towards a slightly more eutrophic condition.  相似文献

利用区域气候模式RegCM 2与大气化学模式连接的模拟系统 ,比较了硫酸盐气溶胶辐射强迫的在线、离线模拟方法的硫酸盐柱含量、大气顶直接辐射强迫及地表温度响应。发现 :在线与离线模拟方法得到的硫酸盐柱含量、有无反馈大气顶直接辐射强迫和地表温度响应在许多地区有很大差异 ,这种差异在较小区域平均的尺度上更显著 ,在全区域平均尺度上也较为明显 ,是不能被忽略的 ;结果显示从硫酸盐含量到辐射强迫和地表温度响应逐渐加大的差异 ,说明硫酸盐气溶胶的辐射强迫与模拟方法有关 ,显示出较大的不确定性。  相似文献

Closed-basin alkaline lakes record climate change particularly well because they generally contain a sedimentary record that is high in carbonate mineral content from which climate proxies can be determined. Various approaches are used to estimate paleo-lake level and volume (δ18O, dating of “shoreline” tufas, biotic proxies, etc.), yet all carry certain caveats that limit their usefulness. Ultimately, the relationship between the chemistry of the lake, the volume of the lake, and the response of the proxy will determine how well a proxy serves a paleolimnologic purpose. Here, we discuss the use of carbonate-associated sulfate (CAS), the sulfate contained within the lattice of carbonate minerals that precipitate in lake water, as a proxy for lake water chemistry and by extension, lake volume. Walker Lake, an alkaline closed-basin lake in western Nevada, has experienced a well-documented lake-level decline since 1880 and provides a test case for CAS as a lake-level proxy. By extracting the CAS from sedimentary carbonate and tufas that have been age dated, we can relate these values to lake sulfate content based on historical or other proxy data. We confirm that CAS tracks lake sulfate. Our study of sedimentary carbonates demonstrates that CAS is a linear function of lake sulfate through a range of 10–25 mM, which corresponds to a change in lake level of 30 m. As confirmation of the CAS technique, we analyzed a stromatolitic tufa dated using AMS 14C. The CAS trend in the stromatolite suggested that it grew during a lake-level decline, a result consistent with other proxy data. Finally, laboratory experiments were conducted that demonstrate CAS is monotonically correlated with sulfate concentration and that precipitation kinetics are not likely a major control on CAS in alkaline lakes, but that ionic strength of the solution exerts a strong control on CAS.  相似文献
