Creep settlements are the main cause of deterioration of road pavement and impervious elements of dams, and therefore a method to calculate them is needed. Viscoelastic models (e.g. the standard linear solid) have been chosen to represent the creep of granular materials (Figure 1). Finite element calculations show that quasi‐oedometric conditions exist near the centre of embankments. Explicit expressions for one‐dimensional viscoelastic settlements of an embankment during and after construction have been obtained for any loading law and drawn for a linear load. The three viscoelastic parameters, Eo, Rc and Tr can be determined through laboratory or field testing, and the results can be adjusted by using settlement records. As the northeast boundary of the Tibetan plateau, the Haiyuan-Liupan Shan fault zone has separated the intensely tectonic deformed Tibetan plateau from the stable blocks of Ordos and Alxa since Cenozoic era. It is an active fault with high seismic risk in the west of mainland China. Using geology and geodetic techniques, previous studies have obtained the long-term slip rate across the Haiyuan-Liupan Shan fault zone. However, the detailed locking result and slip rate deficit across this fault zone are scarce. After the 2008 Wenchuan MS8.0 earthquake, the tectonic stress field of Longmen Shan Fault and its vicinity was changed, which suggests that the crustal movement and potential seismic risk of Haiyuan-Liupan Shan fault zone should be investigated necessarily. Utilizing GPS horizontal velocities observed before and after Wenchuan earthquake(1999~2007 and 2009~2014), the spatial and temporal distributions of locking and slip rate deficit across the Haiyuan-Liupan Shan fault zone are inferred. In our model, we assume that the crustal deformation is caused by block rotation, horizontal strain rate within block and locking on block-bounding faults. The inversion results suggest that the Haiyuan fault zone has a left-lateral strike-slip rate deficit, the northern section of Liupan Shan has a thrust dip-slip rate deficit, while the southern section has a normal dip-slip rate deficit. The locking depths of Maomao Shan and west section of Laohu Shan are 25km during two periods, and the maximum left-lateral slip rate deficit is 6mm/a. The locking depths of east section of Laohu Shan and Haiyuan segment are shallow, and creep slip dominates them presently, which indicates that these sections are in the postseismic relaxation process of the 1920 Haiyuan earthquake. The Liupan Shan Fault has a locking depth of 35km with a maximum dip-slip rate deficit of 2mm/a. After the Wenchuan earthquake, the high slip rate deficit across Liupan Shan Fault migrated from its middle to northern section, and the range decreased, while its southern section had a normal-slip rate deficit. Our results show that the Maomao Shan Fault and west section of Laohu Shan Fault could accumulate strain rapidly and these sections are within the Tianzhu seismic gap. Although the Liupan Shan Fault accumulates strain slowly, a long time has been passed since last large earthquake, and it has accumulated high strain energy possibly. Therefore, the potential seismic risks of these segments are significantly high compared to other segments along the Haiyuan-Liupan Shan fault zone.  相似文献

为探讨冻融对寒区工程岩石剪切蠕变特性的影响,以吉林省辉白隧道花岗岩为研究对象,对经历不同冻融循环次数的试样开展细观特征分析和剪切蠕变试验。试验结果表明:(1)随着冻融次数的增加,试样裂隙、孔隙不断扩展,岩石表面损伤现象愈发明显;(2)试样主要以中小孔隙为主,孔隙度随着冻融次数的增加呈非线性增长趋势;(3)随着冻融循环次数增加,蠕变变形量和蠕变速率逐渐增大,而蠕变时长、破坏应力和长期强度均呈现明显降低趋势。根据试验结果,进行冻融岩石非定常蠕变参数的表达,提出了冻融岩石损伤黏性元件,构建了花岗岩冻融剪切蠕变本构模型。将蠕变试验曲线和理论模型拟合曲线进行对比,验证了模型的正确性和适用性。通过对蠕变参数进行敏感性分析,研究了其对花岗岩蠕变变形的影响,并给出了蠕变参数随冻融循环次数的变化规律。该研究结果对于寒区岩体工程长期稳定性评价具有指导意义。  相似文献

层状岩体由于层理面或者结构面的存在,在力学上具有横观各向同性的特点,现有的各向同性蠕变模型难以全面反映横观各向同性岩体的蠕变力学特性。为构建能够反映横观各向同性岩体的三维蠕变模型,以能反映瞬时应变、减速蠕变和稳态蠕变特征的黏弹性Burgers模型为基础,基于常泊松比假定,在三维各向同性蠕变本构方程的基础上,按照算子替换的方法,将横观各向同性柔度矩阵代替各向同性柔度矩阵,并考虑了平行和垂直层理方向岩体蠕变力学行为的差异性,推导了横观各向同性岩体的三维蠕变本构方程。根据本构方程的特点,提出了根据平行和垂直方向岩体蠕变试验结果进行三维蠕变本构模型中蠕变参数的辨识方法。将提出的模型应用于三轴蠕变试验参数辨识,从而获得了一套完整的三维蠕变参数,并与试验结果进行对比分析,从而验证了所提模型与方法的合理性和有效性。进一步,指出了传统蠕变试验设计方案的局限性,给出了横观各向同性材料蠕变试验设计建议。研究成果为研究岩体三维蠕变机制提供了新思路,可对岩体蠕变试验设计提供相应的科研支撑。  相似文献

Talus slopes are common places for debris storage in high-mountain environments and form an important step in the alpine sediment cascade. To understand slope instabilities and sediment transfers, detailed investigations of talus slope geomorphology are needed. Therefore, this study presents a detailed analysis of a talus slope on Col du Sanetsch (Swiss Alps), which is investigated at multiple time scales using high-resolution topographic (HRT) surveys and historical aerial photographs. HRT surveys were collected during three consecutive summers (2017–2019), using uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) and terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) measurements. To date, very few studies exist that use HRT methods on talus slopes, especially to the extent of our study area (2 km2). Data acquisition from ground control and in situ field observations is challenging on a talus slope due to the steep terrain (30–37°) and high surface roughness. This results in a poor spatial distribution of ground control points (GCPs), causing unwanted deformation of up to 2 m in the gathered UAV-derived HRT data. The co-alignment of UAV imagery from different survey dates improved this deformation significantly, as validated by the TLS data. Sediment transfer is dominated by small-scale but widespread snow push processes. Pre-existing debris flow channels are prone to erosion and redeposition of material within the channel. A debris flow event of high magnitude occurred in the summer of 2019, as a result of several convective thunderstorms. While low-magnitude (<5,000 m3) debris flow events are frequent throughout the historical record with a return period of 10–20 years, this 2019 event exceeded all historical debris flow events since 1946 in both extent and volume. Future climate predictions show an increase of such intense precipitation events in the region, potentially altering the frequency of debris flows in the study area and changing the dominant geomorphic process which are active on such talus slopes. © 2020 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In October 1965 and February 1966, 55 Young-pits were installed in tropical Northern Territory (NT) and temperate New South Wales (NSW). Pits were monitored in 1968, 1971 and 1974; also, for the NT only, in 1988. In each region, half of the pits are on weathered granite, and half on sandstone. Local relief is 30m or less, and slopes are up to 20°. Annual rainfall is evenly distributed in the NSW sites (800 mm a−1), but is confined to the five to six month wet season in NT (1200 mm a−1). Six pits suffered external disturbance and so were not analysed. Analysis of 160 rods in 49 undisturbed pits shows: (1) vectorial movement generally not downslope parallel to the ground surface, but dominated by a vertically downward component; (2) significant uphill and vertically upward components of movement for many rods; (3) a weak correlation between total movement and sine of slope; (4) rapid movement during 1965-68, and slow movement thereafter; (5) significantly higher creep rates on the NT granites than on all other sites, perhaps because mound-building termites are especially active there. We conclude that our data do not support soil creep models which assume that all movement is downslope and slope-parallel. 传统线性元件组合模型难以描述岩石非线性加速蠕变阶段特性,给工程应用带来了巨大困难。提出一种新的应变触发非线性黏壶元件,并将其与Bingham模型串联,建立了可以描述岩石等速和加速蠕变特性的一维本构模型,进而推导出相应的三维蠕变本构模型,再将三轴压缩过程中岩石弹性模量的衰减方程引入该三维蠕变本构方程,得到一个能反映岩石蠕变全过程特性的三维非线性黏弹塑蠕变本构模型,根据泥岩蠕变试验数据对该模型参数进行了辨识。模型理论计算值与泥岩蠕变试验数据的对比表明改进的Bingham模型不仅可以充分反映软岩的等速蠕变特性,还可以很好地描述软岩的衰减和加速蠕变规律,且模型元件少,组合形式简单,为软岩非线性蠕变本构模型研究提供了新的借鉴。  相似文献

在黏性土的各种流变现象的数学模拟研究中,不排水蠕变孔压方程几乎是空白。基于临界状态土力学理论,采用与时间相关的移动状态边界面法,给出了适用于正常固结黏性土的不依赖状态边界面具体形态的不排水蠕变孔压公式。正常固结黏性土的不排水蠕变孔压可以看作是体积蠕变势和剪应力水平增大造成的剪缩这两种作用的结果,前者与参数 有关( 为次压缩指数, 为压缩指数),后者则与状态边界面的具体形态有关。在此基础上进一步给出了可方便用于试验数据分析的双对数和单对数形式的两个公式。以修正剑桥模型椭圆形状态边界面为例,分析了双对数和单对数坐标系下蠕变孔压曲线的斜率m和m′与土的流变参数 的关系。采用提出的方法,很好地预测了Walkers给出的Leda clay黏土的蠕变孔压系数,并基于以上两种作用解释了Leda clay黏土的蠕变孔压形成的机制。  相似文献

砂土层在地面沉降过程中呈现一定的蠕变特性。文章采用一维压缩试验对4 MPa 下砂土的变形特征进行了研究,并 采用改进的试验装置对砂土的微观结构进行了提取。通过对8 组不同级配砂土样的蠕变特性和微观结构分析,得到如下结 论:粒径单一的砂土在蠕变过程中更容易出现突变,砂粒受力后更容易发生破碎,产生滑移错动;砂土蠕变的蠕变量与砂 粒级配密切相关,砂土的粒径越单一且粒径越大时,砂土的蠕变量也越大;采用表征砂土颗粒形状复杂程度的形状系数, 从微观上定量分析了砂土在蠕变过程中发生破碎的情况和蠕变量大小,且形状系数越小,表明该种砂土形状越复杂,在蠕 变过程中砂土的破碎性越高,蠕变量越大。  相似文献
