The current study broadens the biodiversity information available for the Black Sea and neighbouring regions and improves our knowledge about the polychaete biogeographic patterns to be discerned in them. There appears to be a well-defined zoogeocline from the Marmara Sea and Bosphorus Strait to the inner parts of the region (Azov Sea), depicted both as a multivariate pattern and in terms of species (or taxa) numbers. The emergent multivariate pattern complies, to a certain extent, with Jakubova’s (1935) views: three main sectors can be defined in the basin: (a) Prebosphoric, (b) the Black Sea and, (c) the Azov Sea, whereas the Bosphorus Strait and Marmara Sea show less faunal affinities with the afore-mentioned sectors. Patterns derived both from the cosmopolitan and Atlanto-Mediterranean species closely follow the one coming from the polychaete species and genera inventories. As a general trend, species numbers decrease along with the decrease in salinity towards the inner parts of the region. The trend is homologous to that seen in the benthic invertebrate inventories of all the major European semi-enclosed regional seas. Salinity and food availability appear to be the dominant abiotic factors correlated, though weakly, with the various patterns deriving from the taxonomic/zoogeographic categories. With the exception of the Anatolia, polychaete inventories from all sectors appear to be random samples of the total inventory of the region, in terms of taxonomic distinctness values. Therefore, these sectoral inventories can be used for future biodiversity/environmental impact assessment studies. A massive invasion of Mediterranean species after the opening of the Black Sea, in the lower Quaternary period, appears to be the likely biogeographic mechanism through which the old Sarmatic fauna was almost completely replaced by species of marine origin.  相似文献

测定了邻近湛江的茂名海区和硇洲岛海域文昌鱼各2个样本线粒体Cytb基因全序列,以尾索动物亚门的2种海鞘(Ciona spp.)和脊椎动物亚门的七鳃鳗(Petromyzon marinus)作为外群,利用分子系统学方法与GenBank收录的14个文昌鱼(Branchiostoma)的Cytb基因全序列进行了比较,UPGMA法构建了系统发生树。全序列分析表明:主产于大西洋(批针文昌鱼B.lanceolatum和佛罗里达文昌鱼B.floridae)、厦门文昌鱼(B.belcheri belcheri Gray)和湛江文昌鱼线粒体Cytb基因全序列长度为1143bp,终止密码子同为UAG;主产于青岛文昌鱼(B.belcheri tsingtaunese)和日本文昌鱼为1141bp,以T结尾,转录过程中构成UAA终止密码子。系统分析表明:16个文昌鱼样品体现出太平洋和大西洋、太平洋南北明显分化。确认采自茂名和硇洲岛的文昌鱼为厦门文昌鱼(B.belcheribelcheriGray);支持将白氏文昌鱼青岛亚种(B.belcheri tsingtaunese)提升为种,命名为日本文昌鱼(B.japonicus)。  相似文献

Very few coral reefs are located close enough to large cities to study the influence of large urban populations on reef assemblages. An exception is the Thousand Islands reef complex to the north of Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, and one of the largest conurbations in the world. Here we present data from a detailed survey where sponge assemblages were assessed at 30 patch reefs associated with islands in three coastal zones along an in-to-offshore gradient. Sponge assemblages are described at three taxonomic levels of detail (species, genus and family level). We recorded a total of 118 sponge species, 64 genera and 36 families, Aaptos suberitoides (Brønsted, 1934), Clathria (Thalysias) reinwardti (Vosmaer, 1880), Petrosia (Petrosia) nigricans (Lindgren, 1897) and Xestospongia testudinaria (Lamarck, 1813) were the most common species overall. There was a pronounced difference in composition among zones with the most distinct difference between the inshore zone and the other two zones. The inshore environment was characterised by very high turbidity and low live coral cover; the dominant substrate consisted of algal turf and sand. Environmental conditions improved and sponge diversity increased further offshore, although most areas appeared to have been affected by some form of disturbance. Ordinations were also largely congruent, at species, generic and family levels of taxonomic resolution. This indicates that variation in composition at higher taxonomic levels is a good indicator of variation at lower taxonomic levels, at least when there is a pronounced environmental gradient.  相似文献

将不整合面所限定的地层单位定义为层序,赋予这种层序以"构造旋回"的概念;将"不整合面及其可以对比的整合面"所限定的地层单位定义为"沉积层序",简称为"层序",并将沉积层序的形成过程解释为海平面变化过程。如果将前者作为"构造层序",则这种层序代表了二级层序,新定义的"沉积层序"则属于三级层序。概念的调整和变化意味着层序存在一个级别或序次问题。地质学家长期研究的结果表明,海平面变化主要存在两种基本的驱动机制,一种是由于构造运动所造成的"洋盆体积"的变化,另一种是气候变化所造成的地球极地冰盖消长而最终产生的海水体积的变化;前者所造成的变化以周期长、速度慢为特征,被简称为"构造型海平面变化",后者所产生的变化则以高频率和高速率为特征,被简称为"冰川型海平面变化"。根据上述概念,显生宙可识别出两个一级旋回,并可以进一步划分为6个二级层序(Sloss模型)或13个二级层序(Vail模型),显生宙二级层序划分的差别反映了长周期层序形成机制研究的一些重要变化和进展。对长周期层序形成机制的研究,除了考虑地球本身的构造活动所造成的洋盆体积的变化以外,地质学家们还将一级旋回与银河年旋回对应、二级旋回与银道面旋回对应、三级旋回与奥尔特星系旋回对应起来进行更大范围的思考和探索,也为研究长周期层序形成的最终驱动机制提供了一个重要的思考途径。如果把对Exxon层序地层模式概念体系不协调的研究而产生的各种层序地层模式作为层序地层学的第1个进展,长周期层序形成机制的研究则可以作为层序地层学的第2个进展。包括:(1)把来自于显生宙的一些重要模型和概念应用到前寒武纪,由此在更长的时间框架内探索一级旋回与超大陆旋回的成因联系;(2)二级旋回与地球水圈和大气圈演变的成因关联;(3)进一步总结三级旋回的形成机制。追索这方面的进展,可以更加深入地理解当年Exxon科学家们将层序形成机制归因于海平面变化的初衷以及所包含的科学意义,从而有利于今后的深入研究。  相似文献

The objective of this paper is to analyze the changing geography of the 500 fastest growing small, private companies, as defined by Inc magazine, in the United States from 1982 to 1992. The study focuses on rates of formation of these firms within types of metropolitan region, the impact of economic restructuring, and the locational dynamics of companies within the fastest growing economic sectors. Results suggest that there is little regional or hierarchical logic to the distribution of the firms, that the influence of economic restructuring is clearly evident, and that new rapidly growing high-technology firms are highly concentrated in San Francisco and Los Angeles, while higher-order service firms are dispersing down the urban hierarchy.  相似文献

A chart of infrazonal biostratigraphic subdivisions in the Cenomanian-Coniacian succession of the East European paleobiogeographic province is substantiated based on distribution of benthic foraminifers. The suggested chart characterizes successive trend of changes in ecologic assemblages of benthic foraminifers and morphologic evolution of certain agglutinated (Gaudryina, Ataxophragmium, Ataxoorbignyina, Arenobulimina, Novatrix, Voloshinovella, Orbignyina, Bolivinopsis) and secretory (Neoflabellina, Globorotalites, Stensioeina, Osangularia, Eponides, Gavelinella, Pseudovalvulineria, Pseudogavelinella, Brotzenella, Cibicides, Cibicidoides, Angulogavelinella, Falsoplanulina, Anomalinoides, Coryphostoma, Bolivinoides, Praebulimina) foraminiferal genera. The chart includes 23 biostratigraphic units (zones and subzones), most of which are recognizable over the vast territory from the Mangyshlak to southern Baltic areas. It is correlated with the acknowledged belemnite, inoceramid, ammonoid and echinoid zonations. Eight stadia of taxonomic changes in foraminiferal assemblages, which are distinguished in this work, show that principal biotic events took place across the middle-late Santonian and Santonian-Campanian boundaries, in the earliest Campanian, at the early-late Campanian boundary time, during the late and terminal Campanian, and in the mid-early Maastrichtian.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to establish the effect of temporal variation of the alga Caulerpa prolifera cover on the composition and stability of the associated crustacean community. Forty‐five crustacean species were found, amphipods and tanaidaceans being the most abundant groups. The stations were grouped mainly based on the gradient of algal cover, independently of location or sampling period (MDS analyses). Considering separately epifaunal and infaunal species, the epifauna occurred mainly at high cover (HC) and medium–low cover (MLC) stations, while the infauna occurred at MLC and unvegetated (UV) stations. Infaunal species were predominant in all stations and sampling periods, and the abundance and numbers of epifaunal species showed a clear dependence of algal cover. To quantify the loss of biodiversity due to the plant cover variations, we applied the average and variation in taxonomic distinctness (Δ+ and Λ+, respectively). The HC stations, especially those with fewer algal cover variations along the study period, showed few fluctuations of Δ+,and Λ+ was usually located near mean; however, UV stations tended to fall in the area where the statistical power of the test is reduced and showed more oscillations of Λ+. The ability of these indices to test the fauna composition in function of the alga presence is discussed.  相似文献
