The energy budget ofBellamya earuginosa in a shallow algal lake, Houhu Lake (Wuhan, China) was investigated by the measurement of flesh production (32.8 kJ/(m²·a)), egestion (337.7 kJ/(m²·a)), metabolism (246.7 kJ/(m²·a)), and estimation of excretion (21.4kJ/(m²·a)). The net growth efficiency of the species is about 10.9%, which accords with the generally reported value for gastropods. In addition, the relationships between starvation respiration (R, mgO₂/(Ind·d)), body weight (Wd, mg in dry wt) and temperature (T, °C) were also determined. The regression equationR=0.044Wd ^0.537 e ^0.061T was obtained by the least square method, The measured SDA of the species is 26.51% of its gross metabolism. Schistosomiasis is a parasitic disease mostly found in areas along the Changjiang River of China. The disease is spread solely through an intermediary named oncomelania, so its spread of schistosomiasis can be controlled by properly designing water intakes which prevent oncomelania from entering farming land or residential areas. This paper reports a successful design process and a new oncomelania-free intake device. The design of the new intake is based on a sound research program in which extensive experimental studies were carried out to gain knowledge of oncomelania eco-hydraulic behavior and detailed flow field information through CFD simulation.  相似文献

日本NKK公司准备开展土壤改善业务。该公司已签订了有关使用美国BioGenesis Enterprises公司开发的工艺技术的协议。据NKK报道，该工艺使用高压水粉碎土壤，并应用生物降解表面活性化学试剂，来消除土壤中的有害物质。对基本生产流程的部分设备重新配置，该系统就能重新组合用于去除重金属、挥发性有机化合物、多氯联苯、石油污染物和Dioxins。该车载装置能去除小于70μm的土壤污染物，日均清除190m^3土壤。据BioGenesis报道，这项技术能去除85％－99％的土壤污染物，且剩余部分可采用生物降解作用再净化，去污成本从每吨40美元到每吨200美元。一旦净化作业完毕，就可将处理后的土壤送回其原处。  相似文献
