Disease resistance and humoral immunomodulatory effects of vitamin C on grouper,Epinephelus awoara

The disease resistance and humoral immunomodulatory effects of vitamin C administered orally to grouper,Epinephelus awoara maintained on a frozen fish diet supplemented with vitamin C at 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 mg/kg were investigated. After 20 weeks, the growth rates of the groups with high level of vitamin C apparently increased. The untreated fish had symptoms of vitamin C deficiency. The endogenous liver tissue vitamin C levels were found to reflect well the dietary treatments. After intraperitoneal injection or bath challenge with a virulent strain ofVibrio vulnificus, fish fed with high level vitamin C showed significantly higher survival rate compared with the normal control group. Vaccination with formalin inactivatedV. vulnificus significantly enhanced the specific antibody production in fish treated with vitamin C, and completely protected from strong bacterial challenge the groups fed on fish with vitamin C 1500 and 2000 mg/kg diet. 在胡子鲶基础料中分别添加 0、5 0 0、10 0 0、15 0 0、2 0 0 0mg/kg的维生素C(VC) ,分别在饲喂不同实验料后的第 12、2 4、36和 5 2天 ,测定各组的生长指标、血清的溶血活力和杀菌活力 ;并在饲喂后的第 4 0天 ,用鲁氏不动杆菌进行攻毒实验 ,观察胡子鲶死亡情况。结果表明 ,添加VC对胡子鲶体重、特定生长率和体长增长率有提高作用 ,但无规律性 ;在添加后的第 12、2 4、36天对血清溶血活力有明显的提高作用 ;对血清杀菌活力没有增强作用。攻毒结果表明 ,VC能明显提高胡子鲶对鲁氏不动杆菌的抵抗力  相似文献

This paper describes a rapid procedure for diagnosis of penaeid viral disease using the immune serological method. The SPA (Staphylococcal Protein A) coagglutination test in early diagnosis of penaeid viral disease has yielded satisfactory results. This is the first time SPA is used in China for diagnoses of viral diseases of marine invertebrates, especially penaeid shrimp. The SPA early diagnostic method is characterized by accuracy, rapidity, simplicity and convenience, low cost, high specificity, strong sensitivity and micro-detectability, and easy dissemination and adaptability in prawn farms.  相似文献

利用几种植物萃取物与增效剂、分散剂、渗透剂配伍，制成ＭＬ灭虫精。经实验表明：其对中华鳋、锚头鳋、指环虫、三代虫、鱼虱等体外寄生虫杀灭有效，有效浓度为０．３～０．５ｍｇ／Ｌ，杀灭时间１～５天，对鱼类的安全浓度范围为３ｍｇ／Ｌ以下。用药后经遗传毒理学微核测试证实，其对鱼体无“三致”（致癌、致畸、致突变）作用，经环保监测部门检验也证实鱼体上无药毒残留。  相似文献

蒙脱石——一种治疗氟骨症的新药材

选作药用的蒙脱石。采自陕西省一处探明的粘土矿。矿体呈似层状,透镜状,产于第四系下更新统地层中,层位明显。矿石的矿物成分主要是蒙脱石和石英;化学成分以 SiO_2、Al_2O_3为主;总比表面和阳离子交换容量较大,交换性阳离子以 Ca~(2+)为主,其次是 Mg~(2+)。依照试验确定的活化方法和条件,将蒙脱石试样酸化处理,制成片剂,在氟病现场进行临床疗效观察。临床证明,用蒙脱石治疗氟骨症,效果显著,且无毒副作用。  相似文献
