利用NCAR/NCEP再分析资料及国家气象信息中心30年气候平均降水资料,通过动力诊断与分析手段研究了2007年6—7月发生在我国淮河流域的暴雨。结果表明,淮河流域的环流垂直结构和降水有着非常好的对应关系。暴雨期间,鄂霍茨克海阻高与乌拉尔山阻高这种双阻高形势对于淮河流域的持续降水提供了很好的条件;南亚高压高层(200 hPa)基本为正散度区,低层(850 hPa)为负散度区,上下层强烈的抽吸结构对暴雨的发生也是非常有利的条件,同时,在淮河暴雨期问,南亚高压(200 hPa)与500 hPa西太平洋副热带高压有着相向而行的移动路径;位涡对于分析冷空气的活动,有着比较清晰的意义,暴雨发生前,有明显的正位涡异常从高纬度向低纬度伸展。大气非绝热加热分析结果显示,视热源和视水汽汇两者的高值中心与相应时段暴雨中心位置一致。 相似文献

使用FY2卫星TBB资料、NCEP最终分析资料(1°×1°)和中尺度模式WRF,对0601号强台风"珍珠"的"急翘"异常转向路径和内核结构变化进行诊断分析和数值模拟。结果表明:"珍珠"移向变化与环境引导气流和位涡倾向1波分量正异常有关,"急翘"前12小时,环境引导气流向北偏转,位涡倾向1波分量正异常对应着"珍珠"移动方向变化;内核非对称结构发展与环境风垂直切变演变有关,垂直切变使得涡旋倾斜,涡旋倾斜方向出现较强的上升运动,导致"珍珠"内核偏南象限对流活动较强。 相似文献

利用多途径探测与再分析资料,通过诊断分析、数值模拟和敏感性试验,对2008年7月20~21日一次高原涡东移诱生西南涡并引发川中特大暴雨的天气过程进行了初步分析,探讨了西南涡特大暴雨发生的中尺度环境场特征,特殊地形和非绝热物理过程在高原涡东移诱生西南涡特大暴雨中的作用。结果表明,高原涡形成后沿高原东北侧下滑,在四川盆地诱生出西南涡,川中特大暴雨在西南涡形成过程中由强中尺度对流系统(MCSs)的活动造成。高原涡东移诱生的低层偏东气流在川西高原东侧地形的动力强迫抬升作用下,释放对流有效位能激发出MCSs产生强降水,降水凝结潜热加热反馈驱动西南涡快速发展。地形的动力作用仅能形成浅薄的西南涡,降水凝结潜热的加入才能使西南涡充分发展。高原涡的发展主要受地面热通量影响,它的发展与否在很大程度上决定西南涡能否形成。盆地周边高大山脉对西南涡的位置分别有不同程度的影响,而盆地周边高大山脉上叠加的中小尺度地形对西南涡和暴雨带的整体位置影响不大,在一定程度上影响暴雨的落区。 相似文献

Large-scale air pollution transport (LSAPT) in the Yellow Sea region and their inflow onto the Korean Peninsula were observed
through satellite images and ground measurements. LSAPT includes regional continental air-masses saturated with pollutants
originating from China and subsequently landing on or passing through the Korean Peninsula. It is also possible to identify
the distribution and transport patterns of LSAPT over the Yellow Sea. The ground concentrations for PM10, PM2.5 and CO measured
at Cheongwon, located in the centre of south Korea, were compared with NOAA satellite images. Notably, the episodes observed
of the LSAPT show a PM2.5 to PM10 ratio of 74% of the daily maximum concentrations. However, cases of duststorms were clearly
distinguished by much higher PM10 concentrations and a ratio of 30% of PM2.5 to PM10 for daily maximum concentrations. For
the episode on January 27, 2006, the inflow of a regionally polluted continental air-mass into the central and southwestern
regions of the Korean Peninsula was observed sequentially at various ground observatories as well as by satellite. The north
airflow dissipated the clouds over Mt. Halla on Jeju Island and further downwind, reducing air pollution and creating a von

Interannual Variability of Autumn Precipitation over
South China and its Relation to Atmospheric

The interannual variability of autumn precipitation over South China and its relationship with atmospheric circulation and SST anomalies are examined using the autumn precipitation data of 160 stations in China and the NCEP-NCAR reanalysis dataset from 1951 to 2004. Results indicate a strong interannual variability of autumn precipitation over South China and its positive correlation with the autumn western Pacific subtropical high (WPSH). In the flood years, the WPSH ridge line lies over the south of South China and the strengthened ridge over North Asia triggers cold air to move southward. Furthermore, there exists a significantly anomalous updraft and cyclone with the northward stream strengthened at 850 hPa and a positive anomaly center of meridional moisture transport strengthening the northward warm and humid water transport over South China. These display the reverse feature in drought years. The autumn precipitation interannual variability over South China correlates positively with SST in the western Pacific and North Pacific, whereas a negative correlation occurs in the South Indian Ocean in July. The time of the strongest lag-correlation coefficients between SST and autumn precipitation over South China is about two months, implying that the SST of the three ocean areas in July might be one of the predictors for autumn precipitation interannual variability over South China. Discussion about the linkage among July SSTs in the western Pacific, the autumn WPSH and autumn precipitation over South China suggests that SST anomalies might contribute to autumn precipitation through its close relation to the autumn WPSH. 相似文献

A strong cyclonic wind perturbation generated in the northern South China Sea (SCS) moved northward quickly and developed into a mesoscale vortex in southwest Guangdong Province, and then merged with a southward-moving shear line from mid latitudes in the period of 21-22 May 2006, during which three strong mesoscale convective systems (MCSs) formed and brought about torrential rain or even cloudburst in South China. With the 1° ×1° NCEP (National Centers for Environment Prediction) reanalysis data and the Weather and Research Forecast (WRF) mesoscale model, a numerical simulation, a potential vorticity inversion analysis, and some sensitivity experiments are carried out to reveal the formation mechanism of this rainfall event. In the meantime, conventional observations, satellite images, and the WRF model outputs are also utilized to perform a preliminary dynamic and thermodynamic diagnostic analysis of the rainstorm systems. It is found that the torrential rain occurred in favorable synoptic conditions such as warm and moist environment, low lifting condensation level, and high convective instability. The moisture transport by strong southerly winds associated with the rapid northward advance of the cyclonic wind perturbation over the northern SCS provided the warm and moist condition for the formation of the excessive rain. Under the dynamic steering of a southwesterly flow ahead of a north trough and that on the southwest side of the West Pacific subtropical high, the mesoscale vortex (or the cyclonic wind perturbation), after its genesis, moved northward and brought about enormous rain in most parts of Guangdong Province through providing certain lifting forcing for the triggering of mesoscale convection. During the development of the mesoscale vortex, heavy rainfall was to a certain extent enhanced by the mesoscale topography of the Yunwu Mountain in Guangdong. We present an analysis of a regional simulation of present-day climate (1981–1990) over southern South America. The regional
model MM5 was nested within time-slice global atmospheric model experiments conducted by the HadAM3H model. We evaluate the
capability of the model in simulating the observed climate with emphasis on low-level circulation patterns and surface variables,
such as precipitation and surface air mean, maximum and minimum temperatures. The regional model performance was evaluated
in terms of seasonal means, seasonal cycles, interannual variability and extreme events. Overall, the regional model is able
to capture the main features of the observed mean surface climate over South America, its seasonal evolution and the regional
detail due to topographic forcing. The observed regional patterns of surface air temperatures (mean, maxima and minima) are
well reproduced. Biases are mostly within 3°C, temperature being overestimated over central Argentina and underestimated in
mountainous regions during all seasons. Biases in northeastern Argentina and southeastern Brazil are positive during austral
spring season and negative in other seasons. In general, maximum temperatures are better represented than minimum temperatures.
Warm bias is larger during austral summer for maximum temperature and during austral winter for minimum temperature, mainly
over central Argentina. The broad spatial pattern of precipitation and its seasonal evolution are well captured; however,
the regional model overestimates the precipitation over the Andes region in all seasons and in southern Brazil during summer.
Precipitation amounts are underestimated over the La Plata basin from fall to spring. Extremes of precipitation are better
reproduced by the regional model compared with the driving model. Interannual variability is well reproduced too, but strongly
regulated by boundary conditions, particularly during summer months. Overall, taking into account the quality of the simulation,
we can conclude that the regional model is capable in reproducing the main regional patterns and seasonal cycle of surface
variables. The present reference simulation constitutes the basis to examine the climate change simulations resulting from
the A2 and B2 forcing scenarios which are being reported in a separate study. 相似文献
