The seismic performance of extended pile‐shafts subjected to the current level of displacement ductility demand is assessed for different soil conditions. Local curvature ductility demand is compared with the curvature ductility capacity provided by the current level of confining steel. Parameters in the assessment of extended pile‐shafts include the undrained shear strength of cohesive soils, relative density of cohesionless soils, aboveground height, longitudinal reinforcement ratio, axial force level and pile diameter. Results indicate that the curvature ductility demand in the pile decreases with increased soil stiffness but increases with increased aboveground height. The curvature ductility demand however is not sensitive to the longitudinal reinforcement ratio or axial force level, and is independent of the pile diameter. Results further indicate that the curvature ductility capacity available from the current level of confining steel may not be adequate for tall extended pile‐shafts, especially for piles with large longitudinal reinforcement ratio and embedded in soft or loose soils. It is well understood that, in studying the mechanical and hydromechanical behaviour of rock joints, their morphology must be taken into account. A geostatistical approach has been developed for characterizing the morphology of fracture surfaces at a decimetre scale. This allows the analysis of the spatial variability of elevations, and their first and second derivatives, with the intention of producing a model that gives a numerical three‐dimensional (3D) representation of the lower and upper surfaces of the fracture. Two samples (I and II) located close together were cored across a natural fracture. The experimental data are the elevations recorded along profiles (using recording steps of 0.5 and 0.02 mm, respectively, for the samples I and II). The goal of this study is to model the surface topography of sample I, so getting estimates for elevations at each node of a square grid whose mesh size will be, for mechanical purposes, no larger than the recording step. Since the fracture surface within the sample core is not strictly horizontal, geostatistical methods are applied to residuals of elevations of sample I. Further, since structural information is necessary at very low scale, theoretical models of variograms of elevations, first and second derivatives are fitted using data of both that sample I and sample II. The geostatistical reconstructions are computed using kriging and conditional simulation methods. In order to validate these reconstructions, variograms and distributions of experimental data are compared with variograms and distributions of the fitted data. 在对我国公路现状进行普及调查的过程中,线形数据的采集和参数的计算是一项非常重要的工作.利用动态GPS进行公路线形数据的采集工作,通过后处理计算获得公路上各点准确的3维坐标,探讨了利用GPS获得的公路散点数据进行直线、圆曲线参数计算的方法,该方法无须给定参数的近似值,具有计算简单方便的特点.利用平差后直线和圆曲线的参数计算缓和曲线的参数,然后对直线、圆曲线、缓和曲线的连接给出了处理方法.利用在上海市外环线进行采集的车载GPS道路数据,采用叙述的方法对试验数据进行了处理,说明该方法是可行的. 相似文献

Shenhu area in South China Sea includes extensive collapse and diapir structures, forming high-angle faults and vertical fracture system, which functions as a fluid migration channel for gas hydrate formation. In order to improve the imaging precision of natural gas hydrate in this area, especially for fault and fracture structures, the present work propose a velocity stitching technique that accelerates effectively the convergence of the shallow seafloor, indicating seafloor horizon interpretation and the initial interval velocity for model building. In the depth domain, pre-stack depth migration and residual curvature are built into the model based on high-precision grid-tomography velocity inversion, after several rounds of tomographic iterations, as the residual velocity field converges gradually. Test results of the Shenhu area show that the imaging precision of the fault zone is obviously improved, the fracture structures appear more clearly, the wave group characteristics significantly change for the better and the signal-to-noise ratio and resolution are improved. These improvements provide the necessary basis for the new reservoir model and field drilling risk tips, help optimize the favorable drilling target, and are crucial for the natural gas resource potential evaluation. 相似文献

大跨度斜拉桥是重要的交通结构,研究其在主梁损伤条件下的损伤定位问题具有重要的工程价值。合理选择设计参数并对其进行敏感性分析,根据现场实测的桥梁动力特性数据,通过调整选定的设计参数对初始的有限元模型进行修正。在基准有限元模型的基础上,通过模拟不同位置和不同程度的主梁损伤,探讨了模态曲率法对结构损伤识别的有效性。结果表明,模态曲率法能够对大跨斜拉桥进行初步的损伤定位,确定主梁单处损伤和多处损伤的损伤位置;对于单处损伤,在噪声水平3%的情况下仍具有较好的适用性。从而为后期更为精确的桥梁结构损伤检测提供依据。 相似文献
