MINERALOGY OF COASTAL DEPOSITS OF NORTH-WESTERN SEA OF JAPAN   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Distribution of heavy, light and clay minerals in Late Pleistocene—Holocene deposits from different coastal environments (beaches, lagoons, dunes, relict lakes, ria bays and inlets, open inlets) was analysed. It was established that mineralogical composition of coastal deposits was a result of provenance and its hypergenous changes, transformation of material within transit zone, and accumulative conditions of inshore zone. Contents of stable minerals increase in deposits of the inlets confined to mouths of the small streams and in horizons of the sections, formed during regressive phases. Unstable minerals amount is higher in deposits of inlets, confined to mouths of the large river. The clay mineral fraction of shelf sediments consists mostly of illite. Authigenous pyrites dominate in deposits of ria bays, lagoons and relict lakes, formed during transgressive phases. Volcanic glass, found in deposits, is product of Holocene eruptions of Baegdusan (Baitushen) Volcano.  相似文献

Using the dynamical Monte Carlo method we investigate the nonequilibrium effects in RKKY-coupling disordered spin glass. By the simulation we reproduce the well-known aging and memory phenomena and find the energy relaxation at a certain temperature happens only to the corresponding spins, which directly causes the nonequilibrium effects. Combining the master equation and the energy relaxation we analyse these phenomena and explain them from the dynamical perspective.  相似文献

Quantification of water content in silicate glasses is of vital significance in understanding magma evolution and metamorphic anataxis. Here we provide a method for the determination of total dissolved water content and water speciation in silicate melts by confocal laser Raman spectrometry based on a set of hydrous rhyolitic glasses. A series of alumino-silicate glasses with water contents from 0.33 to 9.05% m/m were synthesised in a piston cylinder apparatus. Synchrotron-FTIR mapping shows that these glasses have relatively homogeneous distributions of dissolved water. Total water contents of the glasses were precisely measured by TC/EA-MS and FTIR. Both external and internal calibration were established for the quantitative analysis of water content and water speciation in the silicate glasses based on excellent linear correlation between total dissolved water content and integrated area of the water Raman band. Furthermore, by decomposing the total water Raman bands into four Gaussians components, the relative concentration of water speciation (OH groups and molecules H2Om) dissolved in the glasses was determined with a similar trend to water speciation data derived from FTIR. We suggest that the relative concentration of water speciation can be estimated in rhyolitic glasses with 4–8% m/m H2O. Our work provides an accurate method to determine total water content and a potential tool to limit the relative concentration of water speciation dissolved in silicic glasses.  相似文献

高强度固体浮力材料是现代深潜技术的重要组成部分之一,对保证潜器浮力、增大潜器有效载荷有着重要作用。本文以其关键原料——空心玻璃微珠的介绍为基础,论述了浮力材料的研究进展,并介绍了本实验室在空心玻璃微珠及其固体浮力材料制备方面的研究工作。本实验室制备的空心玻璃微珠的密度已低至0.21 g?cm–3,其在12MPa下的破碎率为40.6%;浮力材料密度为0.52 g?cm–3时,其压缩强度可达到40MPa。  相似文献

In this paper we report the results of electron probe X-ray microanalysis (EPMA) that was used to study environmental materials. The mode of preparation and certification of reference samples based on a basaltic glass matrix for environmental applications of EPMA is described. These samples were prepared containing scandium, strontium and barium (from 0.03 up to 7% m/m) and an evaluation was made of homogeneity, their stability to local heating, followed by analysis by independent methods for certification of composition. Matrix correction procedures for the EPMA technique have been developed for particles having a size commensurable with the volume of X-ray generation. An analytical equation for the size factor is proposed and two techniques for selecting optimum conditions for the analysis of environmental samples by EPMA are reported. These procedures provided satisfactory results when utilized in analysing sediments recovered from snow, coal fly ash and the bones of animals and fish, results from which can be used as indicators for evaluating the pollution level of the lower atmosphere, surface and ground water, as well as revealing pollution mechanisms.  相似文献

Crystals of hydronium jarosite were synthesized by hydrothermal treatment of Fe(III)–SO4 solutions. Single-crystal XRD refinement with R1=0.0232 for the unique observed reflections (|Fo| > 4F) and wR2=0.0451 for all data gave a=7.3559(8) Å, c=17.019(3) Å, Vo=160.11(4) cm3, and fractional positions for all atoms except the H in the H3O groups. The chemical composition of this sample is described by the formula (H3O)0.91Fe2.91(SO4)2[(OH)5.64(H2O)0.18]. The enthalpy of formation (Hof) is –3694.5 ± 4.6 kJ mol–1, calculated from acid (5.0 N HCl) solution calorimetry data for hydronium jarosite, -FeOOH, MgO, H2O, and -MgSO4. The entropy at standard temperature and pressure (So) is 438.9±0.7 J mol–1 K–1, calculated from adiabatic and semi-adiabatic calorimetry data. The heat capacity (Cp) data between 273 and 400 K were fitted to a Maier-Kelley polynomial Cp(T in K)=280.6 + 0.6149T–3199700T–2. The Gibbs free energy of formation is –3162.2 ± 4.6 kJ mol–1. Speciation and activity calculations for Fe(III)–SO4 solutions show that these new thermodynamic data reproduce the results of solubility experiments with hydronium jarosite. A spin-glass freezing transition was manifested as a broad anomaly in the Cp data, and as a broad maximum in the zero-field-cooled magnetic susceptibility data at 16.5 K. Another anomaly in Cp, below 0.7 K, has been tentatively attributed to spin cluster tunneling. A set of thermodynamic values for an ideal composition end member (H3O)Fe3(SO4)2(OH)6 was estimated: Gof= –3226.4 ± 4.6 kJ mol–1, Hof=–3770.2 ± 4.6 kJ mol–1, So=448.2 ± 0.7 J mol–1 K–1, Cp (T in K)=287.2 + 0.6281T–3286000T–2 (between 273 and 400 K).  相似文献

A common practice in archaeomagnetic studies in many laboratories is the impregnation of the material with water glass (siliceous gel) in order to achieve better consolidation before cutting. The purpose of this study is to establish if and how the presence of water glass in the burnt clay material affects its magnetic properties during heating. We describe experiments designed to monitor the alterations in isothermal remanence and magnetic susceptibility for two sets of specimens - non-impregnated and impregnated with water glass. Our results show that water glass can cause considerable changes in magnetic susceptibility, but the remanent magnetization is not influenced significantly.  相似文献

Granite formed in the terrestrial planets very soon after their accretion. The oldest granite-forming minerals (4.4 Ga zircon) and granite (4.0 Ga granodiorite) indicate conditions resembling the present-day ones, with the presence of oceans and external processes related to liquid water. As a result, the current granite paradigm states that granite is not issued directly from the melting of the mantle. However, a granite-upper mantle connection is well established from several pieces of evidence. Tiny micrometre- to millimetre-sized enclaves of granite-like glassy and crystalline materials in Earth's mantle rocks are known in oceanic and continental areas. Earth's mantle-forming minerals, such as olivine, pyroxene, and chromite, can contain silicic materials, either as glass inclusions or as crystallised products (quartz or tridymite, sanidine, K-feldspar, and/or plagioclase close to albite end-member). Importantly, the same evidence is amply found in some types of meteorites, whether they are primitive, such as ordinary chondrites, or differentiated, such as IIE irons, howardite–eucrite–diogenite (HED), and Martian shergottite–nakhlite–chassignite (SNC) achondrites. Although constituting apparently an anomaly, the granite-upper mantle connection can be reconciled with the current granite paradigm by recognising that the conditions prevailing in the formation of granite are not only necessarily crustal but can occur also at depths in mantle rocks. Unresolved problems to be explored further include whether tiny amounts of granitic material within terrestrial mantles may be hints of greater abundances and more direct mantle involvement, and what role can be played by granite trapped within the upper mantle in lithosphere buoyancy.  相似文献

Fifty-two trace elements in NIST SRM 614, 616 and MPI-DING BM90/21-G glass reference materials as well as in NIST SRM 612, USGS BCR2-G and other MPI-DING reference glasses (KL2-G, GOR132-G, GOR128-G, ATHO-G, Tl-G, StHs6/80-G and ML3B-G) were determined by laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS). Accurate ultra-low trace element abundances in the NIST SRM 614, 616 and BM90/21-G reference glasses down to lower ng g−1 levels were determined with relative standard deviations (RSD) of less than 10%. Limits of detection using He as carrier gas were up to two times lower than with Ar and were 0.004 to 0.12 μg g−1 for elements of lower mass numbers (amu < 85) and 0.002 to 0.06 μg g−1 for elements having amu < 85. The measured concentrations generally agree within 15% with previous studies except for B in NIST SRM 614 and 616, which appears to be heterogeneously distributed, and Co, Zn, Ga and Ag in NIST SRM 616 for which the existing data set is too small to evaluate the discrepancies. New values for As (0.593 μg g−1), Ag (0.361 μg g−1) and Cd (0.566 μg g−1) in NIST SRM 614 and new values for Na (94864 μg g−1) and As (0.276 μg g−1) in NIST SRM 616 are reported.  相似文献

The volume %, distribution, texture and composition of coexistingolivine, Cr-spinel and glass has been determined in quenchedlava samples from Hawaii, Iceland and mid-oceanic ridges. Thevolume ratio of olivine to spinel varies from 60 to 2800 andsamples with >0·02% spinel have a volume ratio ofolivine to spinel of approximately 100. A plot of wt % MgO vsppm Cr for natural and experimental basaltic glasses suggeststhat the general trend of the glasses can be explained by thecrystallization of a cotectic ratio of olivine to spinel ofabout 100. One group of samples has an olivine to spinel ratioof approximately 100, with skeletal olivine phenocrysts andsmall (<50 µm) spinel crystals that tend to be spatiallyassociated with the olivine phenocrysts. The large number ofspinel crystals included within olivine phenocrysts is thoughtto be due to skeletal olivine phenocrysts coming into physicalcontact with spinel by synneusis during the chaotic conditionsof ascent and extrusion. A second group of samples tend to havelarge olivine phenocrysts relatively free of included spinel,a few large (>100 µm) spinel crystals that show evidenceof two stages of growth, and a volume ratio of olivine to spinelof 100 to well over 1000. The olivine and spinel in this grouphave crystallized more slowly with little physical interaction,and show evidence that they have accumulated in a magma chamber.
