In this paper we use a Von Mises transformation to study brine transport in porous media. The model involves mass balance
equations for fluid and salt, Darcy's law and an equation of state, relating the salt mass fraction to the fluid density.
Application of the Von Mises transformation recasts the model equations into a single nonlinear diffusion equation. A further
reduction is possible if the problem admits similarity. This yields a formulation in terms of a boundary value problem for
an ordinary differential equation which can be treated by semi‐analytical means. Three specific similarity problems are considered
in detail: (i) one‐dimensional, stable displacement of fresh water and brine in a porous column, (ii) flow of fresh water
along the surface of a salt rock, (iii) mixing of parallel layers of brine and fresh water.

利用JRA-55再分析资料和中国824站日最低气温数据,分析了1961—2013年冬季中国东北地区极端低温的年代际变化及其动力成因。结果表明:东北冬季极端低温1980s中期前频发,1980s后期到2000s初少发,2000s后恢复多发。这与贝加尔湖阻塞高压频次偏多—偏少—偏多的同步年代际变化直接相关,与北极涛动(Arctic Oscillation,AO)和准定常行星波活动的年代际振荡相联系。相比于1980s中期前,1988—1999年期间行星波沿极地波导向平流层的传播减弱,引起高纬度平流层下层E-P通量辐合变弱;而行星波沿低纬波导往副热带对流层上层的传播增强,造成副热带对流层中上层E-P通量辐合增强。行星波E-P通量散度的异常由于波—流相互作用,分别导致了极夜急流加强、副热带急流减弱,因而AO增强,不利于贝湖阻高建立和环流经向型发展,极端低温减少。2000—2013年,行星波活动相反,导致AO减弱,贝湖阻高多发,极端低温恢复增多。 相似文献

In the Colorado Front Range, forested catchments near the rain–snow transition are likely to experience changes in snowmelt delivery and subsurface water transport with climate warming and associated shifts in precipitation patterns. Snowpack dynamics are strongly affected by aspect: Lodgepole pine forested north‐facing slopes develop a seasonal snowpack, whereas Ponderosa pine‐dotted south‐facing slopes experience intermittent snow accumulation throughout winter and spring. We tested the degree to which these contrasting water input patterns cause different near‐surface hydrologic response on north‐facing and south‐facing hillslopes during the snowmelt period. During spring snowmelt, we applied lithium bromide (LiBr) tracer to instrumented plots along a north–south catchment transect. Bromide broke through immediately at 10‐ and 30‐cm depths on the north‐facing slope and was transported out of soil waters within 40 days. On the south‐facing slope, Br? was transported to significant depths only during spring storms and remained above the detection limit throughout the study. Modelling of unsaturated zone hydrologic response using Hydrus‐1D corroborated these aspect‐driven differences in subsurface transport. Our multiple lines of evidence suggest that north‐facing slopes are dominated by connected flow through the soil matrix, whereas south‐facing slope soils experience brief periods of rapid vertical transport following snowmelt events and are drier overall than north‐facing slopes. These differences in hydrologic response were largely a function of energy‐driven differences in water supply, emphasizing the importance of aspect and climate forcing when considering contributions of water and solutes to streamflow in catchments near the snow line. ABSTRACTThe high Sr/Y geochemical feature of granitoids can be attributed to various mechanisms, and elucidating genesis of high Sr/Y granitoids provides insights into the material recycling and magmatic processes at depth. In southeastern Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB), many Middle Permian granitoids exhibit high Sr/Y ratios, but their origins remain unclear, inhibiting a comprehensive understanding of the magmatic response to the final closure of the Palaeo-Asian ocean. Here we present new zircon U-Pb ages, Lu-Hf isotopes and whole-rock geochemical data for the Middle Permian high Sr/Y monzogranites from central Inner Mongolia, southeastern CAOB. LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb data shows that these high Sr/Y rocks were emplaced during 273–261 Ma. They are calc-alkaline, sodium-rich and metaluminous to weakly peraluminous, with enriched large-ion lithophile elements (Rb, Th, K and Pb) and depleted high field strength elements (Nb, Ta, P and Ti), suggesting a mafic lower crustal source rather than evolved potassic crustal materials. Their relatively low (Gd/Yb)N (1.1–2.0), (Dy/Yb)N (1.0–1.3), Nb/Ta (7.9–10.9) ratios and flat heavy rare earth element patterns are characteristics of derivation from a relatively shallow depth with amphibolite as dominant residue. They also have highly variable εHf(t) values (?8.2 to +10.0) and TDMC (1814 to 649 Ma), similar to those of the Early Palaeozoic high Sr/Y intrusions along the Bainaimiao arc belt. Combined with data from literatures, we suggest that the high Sr/Y monzogranites in this study were probably generated by reworking of the newly underplated juvenile high Sr/Y lower crust of the Bainaimiao arc belt. Moreover, taking into account the regional investigations, the sublinear distributed Middle Permian magmatic rocks in the southeastern CAOB were likely associated with the incipient slab break-off of the Palaeo-Asian oceanic lithosphere following initial collision between the North China craton and the South Mongolia terranes. 相似文献
