榍石LA-SF-ICP-MS U-Pb定年及对结晶和封闭温度的指示   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
榍石富含U、Th,贫Pb,是U-Pb定年的理想矿物之一。本文采用激光剥蚀-高分辨等离子体质谱建立榍石U-Pb定年方法,采用25~30μm激光斑束,准确测定榍石U-Pb标准样品BLR-1(~1048Ma)、OLT-1(~1014Ma)和Pakistan(~21.4Ma),以及年轻榍石样品(<100Ma)U-Pb年龄,提高了检测准确性和空间分辨率。综合对比共生锆石和榍石U-Pb年龄、榍石颗粒微量元素和U-Pb年龄环带及不同成分岩浆岩(SiO2含量48.1%~77.0%)中岩浆榍石的结晶温度,结果表明:岩浆演化过程中,榍石具有宽泛的结晶温度(600~900℃,峰值~750℃),主要集中于岩浆演化中晚期结晶,榍石U-Pb同位素封闭温度接近或略低于锆石,因此同一岩浆体系中锆石与榍石的年龄差异可能反映了该熔体较晚达到榍石饱和,而非熔体热演化历史或封闭温度信息。  相似文献

灵山花岗岩体在平面上为一环状分布的侵入体,中心为角闪石黑云母花岗岩,外围为黑云母花岗岩。在角闪石黑云母花岗岩中分布有大量的暗色镁铁质微粒包体。黑云母是大多数中酸性火成岩中比较重要的一种镁铁质矿物,它能很好地反映寄主岩浆的属性和成岩时的物理、化学条件,因此,本文对这两种花岗岩及镁铁质微粒包体中的黑云母开展了系统的岩相学观察和电子探针化学组成研究,探讨灵山岩体的物质来源、成岩条件和岩浆的混合作用过程。研究结果表明两种花岗岩体的黑云母具有不同化学成分,而暗色镁铁质微粒包体中黑云母的化学成分则变化较大。三种黑云母均在低氧逸度条件下晶出。两种花岗岩中的黑云母均富Fe贫Mg,属于铁质黑云母,含铁系数[(Fe~(3+)+Fe~(2+))/(Fe~(3+)+Fe~(2+)+Mg~(2+))]分别为0.65~0.70,0.72~0.78,FeOT/MgO均接近7.04。MF值[2×Mg/(Fe~(2+)+Mg+Mn)]分别为0.64~0.76和0.48~0.60,指示两种花岗岩的物质来源都是以壳源为主。镁铁质微粒包体中黑云母的MF值变化范围比较大,为0.63~1.06,为铁质黑云母到镁质黑云母,暗示包体岩浆经历过不同程度的岩浆混合作用。镁铁质微粒包体中部分黑云母与角闪石黑云母花岗岩中黑云母的结晶条件相似,而部分则有明显差异,推测是由于基性的镁铁质包体岩浆注入到酸性的花岗岩浆是一个连续多阶段的过程。  相似文献

在详细的野外地质和岩相学观察基础上,对胶西北中生代玲珑期、郭家岭期和伟德山期花岗岩中的黑云母和角闪石进行了系统的化学成分研究。结果显示,玲珑期,研究区中部和南部花岗岩中的黑云母为铁叶云母和铁质黑云母,其MgO为4.07%~6.53%,具有壳源型黑云母的特征;北部主要为铁质黑云母和镁质黑云母,MgO介于9.13%~11.57%之间,具壳幔混源型的特征;郭家岭期和伟德山期花岗岩中的黑云母以铁质黑云母和镁质黑云母为主,MgO为7.62%~15.38%,均为壳幔混源型,其中的角闪石均属于钙质角闪石,M值为0.44~0.76。暗色矿物成分显示玲珑期花岗岩的源区物质主要为壳源,郭家岭期和伟德山期的以壳源为主,有少量幔源组分参与。三期花岗岩中黑云母结晶温度主要集中于550~700℃,而角闪石的结晶温度为600~750℃,从玲珑期到郭家岭期再到伟德山期,即从早到晚,黑云母的结晶温度有升高的趋势;全铝压力计估算结果显示,黑云母和角闪石的结晶压力具有降低的趋势。郭家岭期和伟德山期花岗岩中黑云母结晶过程中的氧逸度分别为-15.0~-9.0和-15.3~-8.8,明显比玲珑期的(-17.5~-13.2)高。结合胶西北金矿的时空分布特征,认为花岗岩结晶过程中较高的氧逸度和幔源物质的参与可能是有利于金矿化的重要条件之一。  相似文献

On 28 December 2002, new vents opened on the flanks of Stromboli, just below the summit craters, interrupting the persistent activity of the volcano with a 7-month-long effusive eruption. We here report on the plagioclase size distribution (PlgSD) in lava samples collected following the chronology of the 2002–2003 eruption. Data reveal a linear PlgSD similar to that found in samples of normal Stromboli activity, indicating that the switch from Strombolian explosive to effusive activity is not associated with changes in texture. Nevertheless, the crystal size distribution slopes and intercepts exhibit slight sinusoidal temporal variations that are here ascribed to a magma supply mechanism able to induce “resonance” in the crystal size distribution, with an amplitude that depends on the supply rate.  相似文献

The separation of vanillin from the lignin of empty fruit bunch oil palm is presented in this study. The lignin was extracted from soda black liquor derived from oil palm empty fruit bunches (EFB) using 20% sulfuric acid. Nitrobenzene oxidation was carried out by adding 50 mg of dry EFB lignin into a mixture of 7 mL of 2 M NaOH and 4 mL of nitrobenzene in a 15 mL steel autoclave. The autoclave was sealed tightly with a screw cap fitted with a Teflon gasket and heated to 165°C for 3 h in a preheated thermostatic oil bath. High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to determine the concentration of each compound present in the lignin. There were eight compounds detected in the HPLC chromatogram. The crystallization process was then used as a method to separate vanillin from other compounds. Based on the solubility of vanillin in acetone, 15 mL of acetone was added to the residue of the oxidized products and heated to 60°C for 10 min. A yield of 1.6% vanillin was isolated from a 50 mg lignin sample. The isolated compound was analyzed with HPLC, Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometry (FT‐IR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (13C‐NMR) for structural verification. The results of the characterization studies proved that the isolated compound is vanillin.  相似文献

Garnet-bearing schists from the Waterville Formation of south-central Maine provide an opportunity to examine the factors governing porphyroblast size over a range of metamorphic grade. Three-dimensional sizes and locations for all garnet porphyroblasts were determined for three samples along the metamorphic field gradient spanning lowest garnet through sillimanite grade, using high-resolution X-ray computed tomography. Comparison of crystal size distributions to previous data sets obtained by stereological methods for the same samples reveals significant differences in mode, mean, and shape of the distributions. Quantitative textural analysis shows that the garnets in each rock crystallized in a diffusion-controlled nucleation and growth regime. In contrast to the typical observation of a correlation between porphyroblast size and position along a metamorphic field gradient, porphyroblast size of the lowest-grade specimen is intermediate between the high- and middle-grade specimens’ sizes. Mean porphyroblast size does not correlate with peak temperatures from garnet-biotite Fe-Mg exchange thermometry, nor is post-crystallization annealing (Ostwald Ripening) required to produce the observed textures, as was previously proposed for these rocks. Robust pseudosection calculations fail to reproduce the observed garnet core compositions for two specimens, suggesting that these calc-pelites experienced metasomatism. For each of these two specimens, Monte Carlo calculations suggest potential pre-metasomatism bulk compositions that replicate garnet core compositions. Pseudosection analyses allow the estimation of the critical temperatures for garnet growth: ∼481, ∼477, and ∼485°C for the lowest-garnet-zone, middle-garnet-zone, and sillimanite-zone specimens, respectively. Porphyroblast size appears to be determined in this case by a combination of the heating rate during garnet crystallization, the critical temperature for the garnet-forming reaction and the kinetics of nucleation. Numerical simulations of thermally accelerated, diffusion-controlled nucleation, and growth for the three samples closely match measured crystal size distributions. These observations and simulations suggest that previous hypotheses linking the garnet size primarily to the temperature at the onset of porphyroblast nucleation can only partially explain the observed textures. Also important in determining porphyroblast size are the heating rate and the distribution of favorable nucleation sites.  相似文献

The present study is based on a set of lavas and crosscutting dikes collected by dives along detailed vertical transects on the northern flank of the western part of the Blanco Transform Fault, Northeast Pacific. The studied area consists of a small basin, the Western Blanco Depression (WBD), extending from the southern end of the Juan de Fuca ridge to a pseudofault trace 60 km eastward. The Northern Scarp of the WBD comprises a volcanic unit overlying a sheeted-dike complex. Major and trace element data, coupled with Sr–Nd isotope ratios, reveal a two-component mantle source, composed by an isotopically depleted matrix variably veined by more enriched material. One chemical group (NS2), indistinguishable from the other Northern Scarp samples on the basis of trace element data, has an unusually depleted isotopic composition typical of a nearly pure mantle end-member. Some cogenetic samples of the Northern Scarp have been used to constrain the differentiation modalities. Anorthite and MgO content profiles in plagioclase xenocrysts and phenocrysts reveal (i) the existence of H2O-bearing evolved melts in the mushy zones and (ii) the occurrence of mixing process between these melts and anhydrous mafic liquids. The hydration is supported by other petrographic features such as high magmatic fO2 values, calculated from Fe–Ti oxide pairs, and the presence of pyroxene inclusions in plagioclase phenocrysts. Mixing, consistent with the existence of Ni-rich ferrobasalts, is interpreted to be the consequence of the reservoir refilling by mafic liquids (Mg# = 70). These petrological and geochemical evidences are combined with the evolution of Mg# with depth to suggest a periodic open-system magma chamber evolution beneath the southern end of the Juan de Fuca ridge.  相似文献

Dacitic magma, a mixture of high-temperature (T) aphyric magma and low-T crystal-rich magma, was erupted during the 1991–1995 Mount Unzen eruptive cycle. Here, the crystallization processes of the low-T magma were examined on the basis of melt inclusion analysis and phase relationships. Variation in water content of the melt inclusions (5.1–7.2 wt% H2O) reflected the degassing history of the low-T magma ascending from deeper levels (250 MPa) to a shallow magma chamber (140 MPa). The ascent rate of the low-T magma decreased markedly towards the emplacement level as crystal content increased. Cooling of magma as well as degassing-induced undercooling drove crystallization. With the decreasing ascent rate, degassing-induced undercooling decreased in importance, and cooling became more instrumental in crystallization, causing local and rapid crystallization along the margin of the magma body. Some crystals contain scores of melt inclusions, whereas there are some crystals without any inclusions. This heterogeneous distribution suggests the variation in the crystallization rate within the magma body; it also suggests that cooling was dominant cause for melt entrapment. Numerical calculations of the cooling magma body suggest that cooling caused rapid crystal growth and enhanced melt entrapment once the magma became a crystal-rich mush with evolved interstitial melt.
