The toxicity of river water in the Lower Don basin was studied using biotesting with different biological objects. Water taken from most examined reaches of the Don and its tributaries was shown to exert toxic effect on crustaceans, algae, protozoa, and Rotifera.  相似文献

Hydrogeological information for the territories of the Republic of Estonia, Leningrad province, and northern Pskov province of the Russian Federation is generalized. A unified groundwater flow model was developed for the Lomonosov-Voronkovskii aquifer, including its Estonian part is developed. The methodological approaches for solving transboundary problems as applied to groundwater are determined. The results of studying transboundary hydrodynamic interaction in Lomonosov-Voronkovskii aquifer in the Russian-Estonian boundary area are given. The direction of undisturbed groundwater flow is determined, and changes caused by the exploitation of the aquifer are assessed.  相似文献

The results of 2-year (2010–2012) measurements of the concentrations of organic carbon (OC) and elemental carbon (EC), which were taken at the Zotino Tall Tower Observatory (ZOTTO) Siberian background station (61° N, 89° E), are given. Despite the fact that this station is located far from populated areas and industrial zones, the concentrations of OC and EC in the atmosphere over boreal forests in central Siberia significantly exceed their background values. In winter and fall, high concentrations of atmospheric carbonaceous aerosol particles are caused by the long-range transport (~1000 km) of air masses that accumulate pollutants from large cities located in both southern and southwestern regions of Siberia. In spring and summer, the pollution level is also high due to regional forest fires and agricultural burning in the steppe zone of western Siberia in the Russian–Kazakh border region. Background concentrations of carbonaceous aerosol particles were observed within relatively short time intervals whose total duration was no more than 20% of the entire observation period. In summer, variations in the background concentrations of OC closely correlated with air temperature, which implies that the biogenic sources of organic-particle formation are dominating.  相似文献

A set of smoothed temperature gradient profiles around overshooting layers at the solar convective zone bottom is considered. In classical local theories of convection the one point defined according to the Schwarzschild criterion is enough to describe a convective boundary. To get a sophisticated picture of the overshooting we use four points to compute the transition overshooting functions. Analyzing the transition gradient profiles we found that the overshooting convective flux may be either positive or negative. A negative overshooting flux appears in nonlocal convective theories and causes a steep temperature gradient profile. But we propose an evenly smoothed gradient which corresponds to a convective flux positive everywhere. To outline the effect of the temperature gradient on the solar oscillations the squared Brunt–Väisälä frequency N 2 is calculated. In local convective theories the N 2 profile shows the discontinuity of the first derivative at the convective boundary, while all smoothed profiles eliminate the break.  相似文献

A database compiled by the author on volatile components in fluid inclusions (5300 analyses compiled from 300 publications) was used to compare destructive and nondestructive analytical techniques and thermal and mechanical methods for the extraction of volatiles in destructive techniques. Possible explanations are proposed for opposite conclusions published by various researchers. The paper summarizes the principal outcomes of the long-lasting discussion on the optimal methods able to provide the most reliable results. No unambiguous answer is provided. Analysis of extensive literature data indicates that each of the techniques is characterized by its own advantages and disadvantages, and an optimal solution should be selected with regard for the materials to be analyzed and formulated tasks. In any event, the results require careful interpretation. The average composition of natural fluids calculated from extensive statistical material is as follows (mol %): 70.3 H2O, 21.4 CO2, 6.3 CH4, 2.0 N2, and 0.07 H2S. The paths of the movements of hydrothermal solutions are considered in the case of one of the world’s largest uranium vein deposits, the Schlema-Alberoda, which was mined by the Soviet-German corporation Wismut JSC in the second half of the 20th century. Detailed geological exploration to a depth of 2 km was accompanied by specialized research, the results of which have remained practically unpublished due to confidentiality. The data obtained show that the region adjoining the largest fault was draining rather than ore-conducting. This circumstance specifies and supplements the current concept concerning the movement of hydrothermal fluids.  相似文献

According to measurements of the magnetic fields in quiescent prominences carried out by different teams in 1964–1989, the maximum values of the field correspond to the minimum values of the Wolf numbers averaged through the corresponding periods of observations. It has been shown that the synoptic noneclipse 2D linear polarimetry of quiescent Hα-prominences can be actually implemented; this method is based on the use of a coronagraph with a primary-optics diameter equal to or larger than 100 mm, a narrow-band filter with FWHM ≤ 0.4 nm, a standard linear polariod, and a high-precision linear polarimetric technique.  相似文献
