The previously studied 2-post-Newtonian approximation of the gravitational field of a nonstationary spherically symmetric star in flat space-time theory of gravitation is applied to the motion of a test particle in the orbit of the star. The orbit is different from the one of Einstein's general theory of relativity. A general formula for the deviation of the orbit from a circle is given. In the special case of a radially oscillating star, being homogeneous to Newtonian accuracy, the orbit of the test particle also oscillates radially with small amplitude about a fixed orbit (circle).  相似文献

A previously studied theory of gravitation in flat space-time is applied to homogeneous, isotropic cosmological models. In addition to radiation a two-component fluid model consisting of dust and of a background field is studied. This universe starts from a nonsingular state and expands for ever. The energy of radiation, of dust and of the background are emerged from the gravitational energy. Entropy is produced. The age of the universe is infinite measured in units of absolute time whereas the proper-time of the universe is finite. The sum of the density parameters of dust, of radiation and of the background field is about one. There is no flatness and no monopole problem.  相似文献

Covariant linear cosmological perturbations are considered in flat space-time theory of gravitation. The background metric is not altered. The perturbed energy-momentum is given. The basic equations for the propagation of the perturbations are presented. The perturbed equations for a homogeneous, isotropic universe are stated.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The increasing popularity of Location-Based Social Networks (LBSNs) and the semantic enrichment of mobility data in several contexts in the last years has led to the generation of large volumes of trajectory data. In contrast to GPS-based trajectories, LBSN and context-aware trajectories are more complex data, having several semantic textual dimensions besides space and time, which may reveal interesting mobility patterns. For instance, people may visit different places or perform different activities depending on the weather conditions. These new semantically rich data, known as multiple-aspect trajectories, pose new challenges in trajectory classification, which is the problem that we address in this paper. Existing methods for trajectory classification cannot deal with the complexity of heterogeneous data dimensions or the sequential aspect that characterizes movement. In this paper we propose MARC, an approach based on attribute embedding and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) for classifying multiple-aspect trajectories, that tackles all trajectory properties: space, time, semantics, and sequence. We highlight that MARC exhibits good performance especially when trajectories are described by several textual/categorical attributes. Experiments performed over four publicly available datasets considering the Trajectory-User Linking (TUL) problem show that MARC outperformed all competitors, with respect to accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score.  相似文献

This article presents a new mechanical model for the non‐linear force–displacement response of unreinforced masonry (URM) walls developing a flexural rocking mode including their displacement capacity. The model is based on the plane‐section hypothesis and a constitutive law for the masonry with zero tensile strength and linear elastic behaviour in compression. It is assumed that only the compressed part of the wall contributes to the stiffness of the wall and therefore the model accounts for a softening of the response due the reduction of the effective area. Stress conditions for limit states are proposed that characterise the flexural failure. The new model allows therefore linking local performance levels to global displacement capacities. The limit states criteria describe the behaviour of modern URM walls with cement mortar of normal thickness and clay bricks. The model is validated through comparison of local and global engineering demand parameters with experimental results. It provides good prediction of the effective stiffness, the force capacity and the displacement capacity of URM walls at different limit states. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

When testing multi-storey structures, most testing facilities require the testing of a reduced-scale model. A literature review on tests of scaled masonry structural components revealed that scaling of masonry was rather challenging and often significant differences in stiffness, strength and failure mechanisms between the different sized masonry were reported. This paper addresses the scaling of hollow clay brick masonry with fully mortared head and bed joints. We investigate different choices of scaling brick units and mortar joints. Based on the results of an extensive test programme including standard material tests and quasi-static cyclic tests on masonry walls subjected to horizontal and axial loads, we formulate recommendations for the production of a half-scale model of unreinforced masonry structures. The experimental results show a good match between full-scale and half-scale masonry. We discuss the differences in material properties that remained and compare the force-displacement hystereses obtained for the wall tests.  相似文献

Starting from the theory of gravitation in flat space-time of Petry (1981), the gravitational field of a static spherically-symmetric body is studied. Petry (1982) has shown that this field in the exterior of the body depends on a parameter which is fixed by the interior solution, i.e., it depends on the density of matter, the pressure, the equation of state, etc. If this parameter is small, the results for the well-known effects, i.e., redshift, deflection of light, perihelion shift, and radar time-delay, agree with those of general relativity. In this paper, we study these effects for larger values of this parameter. Furthermore, for sufficiently large positive values of the parameter, in the neighbourhood of the body the radial velocity of light can exceed several times the vacuum light-velocity. Therefore, the components of such an object can move away with velocities a few times greater than that of light in agreement with the observed superluminal velocities in extragalactic objects.  相似文献

Spatial and temporal variability in ground water–surface water interactions in the hyporheic zone of a salmonid spawning stream was investigated. Four locations in a 150‐m reach of the stream were studied using hydrometric and hydrochemical tracing techniques. A high degree of hydrological connectivity between the riparian hillslope and the stream channel was indicated at two locations, where hydrochemical changes and hydraulic gradients indicated that the hyporheic zone was dominated by upwelling ground water. The chemistry of ground water reflected relatively long residence times and reducing conditions with high levels of alkalinity and conductivity, low dissolved oxygen (DO) and nitrate. At the other locations, connectivity was less evident and, at most times, the hyporheic zone was dominated by downwelling stream water characterized by high DO, low alkalinity and conductivity. Substantial variability in hyporheic chemistry was evident at fine (<10 m) spatial scales and changed rapidly over the course of hydrological events. The nature of the hydrochemical response varied among locations depending on the strength of local ground water influence. It is suggested that greater emphasis on spatial and temporal heterogeneity in ground water–surface water interactions in the hyporheic zone is necessary for a consideration of hydrochemical effects on many aspects of stream ecology. For example, the survival of salmonid eggs in hyporheic gravels varied considerably among the locations studied and was shown to be associated with variation in interstitial chemistry. River restoration schemes and watershed management strategies based only on the surface expression of catchment characteristics risk excluding consideration of potentially critical subsurface processes. The formation of volcanic–sedimentary interaction features in extreme arid environments is not a commonly described process. Specifically the occurrence of dynamically mixed sediments and juvenile igneous clasts as peperites, for water has been considered one major important factor in the processes of magma dismantling and mingling with unconsolidated sediment to form such deposits. The study area, located in south Brazil, shows a sequence of lava flows and intertrapic sandstone layers from the Paraná Basin, associated with the formation of clastic dykes, flow striations, peperite and ‘peperite-like’ breccias. Four processes are suggested for the genesis of the peperites: (a) fragmentation of the flow front and base; (b) sand injection; (c) dune collapse; (d) magma cascade downhill. The continued flow of a lava, while its outer crust is already cooling, causes it to break, especially in the front and base, fragments falling in the sand and getting mixed with it, generating the flow front ‘peperite-like’ breccia. The weight of the lava flow associated to shear stress at the base cause sand to be injected inwards the flow, forming injection clastic dykes in the cooled parts and injection peperite in the more plastic portions. The lava flow may partially erode the dune, causing the dune to collapse and forming the collapse ‘peperite-like’ breccia. The shear stress at the base of a flowing lava striates the unconsolidated sand, forming the flow striations. The sand that migrates over a cooled, jointed lava flow may get caught in the cavities and joints, forming the filling clastic dykes. These deposits are analogous to those found in the Etendeka, NW Namibia, and show that sediment–lava interactions in arid settings are widespread throughout the Paraná-Etendeka province during the onset of flood volcanism.  相似文献

A nonsingular, homogeneous, isotropic cosmological model with cosmological constant in flat space-time theory of gravitation is studied. The second law of thermodynamics yields a nonexpanding (nonstationary) universe without entropy production. At the beginning of the universe radiation, matter and vacuum energy given by the cosmological constant are zero and then emerge from gravitational energy. In the course of time the energy of radiation and matter decrease whereas the vacuum energy increases forever. Light emitted from a distant galaxy loses energy on his way to the observer producing the observed redshift. The velocity of light in the past is greater than the present one. This may explain superluminal velocities but only for large redshifts. The sum of the density parameters of matter, radiation and vacuum energy is a little greater than one. All the matter can be baryonic. There is no age problem of the universe. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献
