Iron–manganese formations and igneous rocks of submarine elevations in the Sea of Japan contain overlapping mineral phases (grains) with quite identical morphology, localization, and chemical composition. Most of the grains conform to oxides, intermetallic compounds, native elements, sulfides, and sulfates in terms of the set of nonferrous, noble, and certain other metals (Cu, Zn, Sn, Pb, Ni, Mo, Ag, Pd, and Pt). The main conclusion that postvolcanic hydrothermal fluids are the key sources of metals is based upon a comparison of the data of electron microprobe analysis of iron–manganese formations and igneous rocks dredged at the same submarine elevations in the Sea of Japan.  相似文献

Electron microprobe data on phosphide grains detected for the first time in basalts from volcanic edifices in the Sea of Japan are presented. The find of phosphides can testify to the endogenic source of phosphorus and, consequently, volcanogenic hydrothermal origin of phosphorites in the Sea of Japan.  相似文献

This report presents data on the chemical, mineral, and isotope composition (δ13C and δ18O) of a large-sized fragment of limestone from the norhteastern part of the Chukchi Sea. It was shown that the formation of the rock is related to the authigenic microbial oxidation of methane. This process is of interest in view of the potential presence of oil and gas in the sedimentary deposits of the northern seas of Russia.  相似文献

We simulate the OH/H2O production from the action of keV protons on the lunar regolith using a vacuum chamber and a mass analyzer to examine the molecular products released from olivine and SiO2 powders during their irradiation by deuterium ions. The measured mass spectra, showing the OD/D2O signature, confirm the possibility of OH/H2O formation on the lunar surface by solar-wind hydrogen.  相似文献

This paper reports data, including new analyses, on the contents of Ni, Co, V, Mo, Fe, Mn, Zn, Ba, Sc, Y, Cd, Rb, Cs, and W in the sediments of the Deryugin Basin. The features of the distribution of chemical elements in the bottom area were identified, and the zones of maximum accumulation of the major and trace elements were allocated. Through analysis of the regularities in the signal-to-noise ratio variation we have determined the maximum depths of bottom location using the method of laser sounding, depending on the bottom albedo, the optical properties of the sea-water layer, the characteristics of the radiation source and detector, the magnitude of all types of noise, dark-current noise, Schottky noise, the noise of a light pulse propagation channel, and background noise. Data on electron microprobe X-ray analysis of mineral grains of base (Cu, Zn, Sn, Pb, Ni, Bi, and Mo) and precious metals (Ag, Au, Pd, and Pt) detected for the first time in the sediments of the Chukchi Sea are presented.
